Pixie made her way to voilet city, she'd been here twice before. She'll never forget her gym battles, they were harder then anything she had pictured. She now understands why her brother took so long, getting from place to place. She honestly believed he just forgot too write, but he was learning and growing just as she is.
She carried on past Violet city on to route 32. As she entered the route cloud built up and started to pour down on the young trainer. Pixie quickly ran to a tree to take cover, quickly grabbing her raincoat she put it on and pulled up the hood. She sighed, at least it wasn't hail she thought to her self. Sending out William to get some training, after all, he'd love the rain right? "Alright William, we're going to double water gun whatever decidces to attack ok?" William let out a bark in agreement of the order. Now all they had to do was wait.

The clouds above were puffy and dark, making the scenery quite the drab experience for many trainers who were traveling on this day. The ground was wet from the rain that had fallen earlier that day, which felt good on a certain wild Pokemon’s stems. Bellsprout loved the way the water sucked into its twiggy appendages, gaining access to the rich soil and cool water was the best part of a drab day like today. The only bad thing was that the sun wasn’t out, which was something all grass Pokemon enjoyed.
As Bellsprout looked to the sky for any sign of what weather was to come, it heard something in the distance. It crept closer and closer to the source of the noise and noticed a Popplio and its trainer. Hmm… this wouldn’t do. Bellsprout hated when water Pokemon came into its environment, this was no place for those sea dwellers. The grass Pokemon used growth to gain power, it could use it due to the sunlight that is blocked out. Popplio sprayed two water guns at the Bellsprout, but the bell Pokemon loved the hydration. The wild Pokemon whipped back with a vine whip, super charged from the growth attack it had initiated earlier. Pixie was shocked that her water type had decided to full on attack a grass type. But her command was said and William was going to follow it through. First water gun took the grass type by suprise which was lucky, but it used a move to power up it's attacks. Pixie felt like it was bad news, and while William pumped out other strong water gun. It didn't match to Bellsprouts powerful vine whip which almost one shot her poor Aloan starter.
Pixie sighed. "ok William return you did a good job." she grabbed the Pokeball and red light sapped the water type back in she looked over her active team. Jasper, however, had his own ideas and jumped out his Great ball. Jasper grinned back at Pixie as a silent trust me I've got this. "ok then Jasper use peck!"

The Poppolio would have done better if it was in a shooting art gallery game with a stationary plastic or cardboard cut out of a bellsprout, but nah, not today. Instead, a purple Nidoran came popping out of his Pokemon to stab the plant. The grass type didn't like what the Nidoran looked like, and extended its vine to wrap the Nidoran's tightly, squeezing it. However, the pure poison type was fighting back and struggling, and then kind of did a thing with its bodily momentum to pull the Bellsprout closer for pecking jab. The Bellsprout cried in pain, and squeezed the Nidoran some more while trying to enlarge its body some more. The Nidoran jeered the Bellsprout for trying to look too big, that it looked like its too big for its size.

Pixie was impressed by the dancing vine, for a Pokemon that that looks pretty weak was buffing its self up. The dance it did as it's body moved fron on side to the another was strange. But the Pink haired girl couldn't look away only the soft yelp of Jasper snapped her out of it. Shaking her head she smiled and nodded.
"Yeah you're right Jasper, I should keep my eye on the fight and not day dream" Jasper the sassy Pokemon he was puffed out his checks "Nid! nid! nidoran1" Pixie didn't really fully understand her Pokemon after all Jasper was new to the team and as of right now they were grinding gears slightly. Jasper was slowly calming down but cold ice doesn't melt fast. "Already Jasper we'll go with other peck!"

Jasper didn't have much work to do in truth; the Bellsprout looked to be quite worn already. He bounded forward, his head low to the floor as his opponent tried its darnedest to focus itself for another attack. But before Bellsprout could so much as lift a vine, Jasper's horn penetrated its face, knocking it backward and bending its stem in a way that can't have been comfortable. The Grass type's head crashed to the floor, with the rest of its body following suit. The poor 'mon could take no more, it seemed.
Congratulations! Bellsprout is KO'd! Jasper gained 2 levels, reaching Level 16! Also +1 Happiness! Jasper may evolve! Should he?William gained 1 level, reaching Level 13! Also +1 Happiness!

Pixie was pretty happy to watch the bellsprout fall, she was a bit sad that she didn't catch it but she has to many pokemon. "Good job Jasper!" she cheered. As she spooke Jasper started to glow bright white. "nido.. nido" Jasper started to grow in size almost doubled. His one cute spike on his head became a lot. Pixie watch in awe as he evovled. This was the second Pokemon to evovle and it never got any less exciting. "NIDO!" he roared as the glow faded away.
Pixie had a massive grin on her face. "You look awesome Jasper! You trained really hard!" Pixie chirped. Jasper rolled his eyes at Pixie's overreaction but he was pretty proud of himself. Pixie recalled her new found friend and went to the Pokemon centre, she wanted her old friend Skadi to be in her party. Now having the shiny in her party she was ready.
She let out the shiny Venonat who shook to straight up out her hairs. She looked around a little confused as to where they were. "Already Skadi you ready to train?" Pixie looked down at Skadi, and Skadi was offended that was even a question. She was already ready.

The environment had already started to shift notably as Pixie's battle finished up and Jasper's evolution had been taken care of. The clear skies from earlier were... well, they were completely obscured. It looked like there was cloud overhead, but it was impossible to tell for sure. A thick fog coated the entirety of Route 32, reducing visibility to a few feet at the very most. If Pixie was to find a battle, she'd have to rely on her partner Skadi's radar skills. Well, either that or some amount of dumb luck. Fortunately for the young girl, a stroke of said "dumb luck" blessed her moments later. Through the mist ahead of her, a figure slowly approached. It didn't look very Pokémon-like, in all honesty; its shape was quite humanoid. This was accentuated by a slightly worried-sounding voice cutting through the fog. "Hello? Is someone there?" called out the person. It sounded like a young boy, definitely younger than Pixie herself. The kid came closer and closer still until, eventually, his body was actually easy to identify. The lad looked to be roughly ten years old, with a baseball cap covering his hair. Naturally, as appeared to be the fashion in Johto, said cap was being worn the wrong way round; the peak thus offering precisely 0 sunlight protection. "Ah, there you are! I knew I heard somethin'. This fog's somethin' else though." He sighed, kicking the dirt beneath his feet in mild frustration. "The name's Albert, anyway. I'm tryin' to train my friends up to get ready to beat Falkner. He's the Gym Leader, y'know? He's real good." Completely clueless as to Pixie's triumph against the Violet leader, the kid took one look at Skadi and hatched a plan. "Awesome, so you are a trainer after all!" The boy cracked a smile, holding a Pokéball up in front of his face. "So, miss, how'd ya like ta battle me with that Venonat? Fair warnin' though, I'm pretty good!" His smile grew wider still as he said this. Throwing the ball out in front of him, the kid released a Rattata. A youngster with a Rattata. What a nice change of pace.
Youngster Albert has challenged Pixie! He sends out his Rattata (Level 9), who seems to have mastered the art of levitation (sodding sprites), to fight with! Will Pixie accept the battle? If so... you know the deal, Mid. Not gonna hold a mod's hand. :P

Pixie startled at the sudden trainer who found her. "H-hello" she stuttered quietly as he came out through the mist. Grabbing the rim of her dressed she played with out running it through her fingers in hopes to calm her fears. Though it didn't really help much as her heart was still racing. Shaking it off or at least trying too when he said about Falkner she recalled the battle that she had one. Though it wasn't through a lot of trail and error "y-yeah, he's a tough one to heat. Took me two tries but you can do it!" she said with a glimmer of hope to her voice. But then her fear came back. He was challenging her to a Pokemon battle.
But before she could have her say in anything Skadi puffed up like an angry cat ready to attack. She looked up at Pixie and looked at this punk of a trainer bragging he was pretty good. She was going to wipe the floor with him, she had decided! Stepping in front of Pixie she let out a small cry to confirm to Pixie was she already felt. "Ven! Venonat!"
Pixie let out a sigh of fear but nodded down at Skadi. She was going to have to be a lot braver to get through a world so scary as the Pokemon one. With random trainers attacking you to wild pokemon attacking you. But she knew she had to get stronger and better to keep her self safe. "ok" she muttered under her breath. "skadi use use tackle!" A simple move to pull off but she wanted to test the water.

Albert looked a bit puzzled as Pixie looked uncomfortable with the situation although it was a bit hard to see through the fog. His eyes widened in excitement when she told him about her tries. "You have battled Falkner?" He asked and sounded really impressed as he added, "and won?"Even through the fog his awe was clear as he looked at Pixie, he had found a trainer who had won against the gym leader, and he was certain that meant she was really strong and really good. "Falkner wont even accept my challenges yet but he has promised me one when I'm better," Albert revealed and then looked a bit bashful. "How did you do it?" He asked in the hope of learning a trick or two. "What?" he called out when Pixie muttered her answer to him, "oh, does that mean yes?" He asked when Skadi stepped forward and got his answer when Pixie gave the venonat her orders. "Alright Max, we need to be smart here! We're up against a trainer who already has a gym badge," Albert explained and the rattata nodded impatiently as he knew all that already and Skadi was already running towards him. "We can't use the fog in a gym battle but we can use it here, so go hide and focus. It won't be easy for us to hit either but we will harder when we do!" Albert said eagerly and Max nodded and dashed off to hide before Skadi got too close. The venonat and its special eyes had no trouble keeping track of the rattata as he ran through the fog and it was easy for her to follow him. When Max stopped Skadi rushed forward to give him a tackle but stopped abruptly when what she had thought was the rattata turned out to be a stunted bush, where had Max gone to? Behind the bush Max was pressing himself to the ground in the hope that the venonat didn't notice him while he turned his focus on the battle and his opponent. Skadi’s fur bristled up in anger as she lost the rattata. This stupid fog was going to be trickier than it needed to be. Hearing the rattata increase it’s change of strange angered Skadi even more. The purple furred Pokemon looked around quickly as she could locking on to Max this time.
Pixie who was squinting to see through the fog at this point. She was trying to see the two Pokemon. Taking two steps forward it showed what had happened, to the young pink haired trainer. Skadi had missed and was now twice as angry.
Pixie winced a bit as that means Skadi would no longer retreat no matter what she said. Skadi was one thing it was stubborn and if you made a fool out of her. She was going to show you who was stronger even if it meant disobeying Pixie. Skadi let out a cry waiting for her trainer to call a move for her to use.
” S-sorry Skadi. Use Venoshock” finally she used and command looking up at the other trainer who was bent up on beating the first gym she looked back the Rattata smiling. ” I-I’m sure you can do it. If you try hard enough. After it took me two tries and a lot of luck” She admitted. She was lucky to find the Frillish and even luckier it had a super effective move on it.

"It worked.. It worked!" Albert said first puzzled and then with more confidence as his plan of using the fog had worked perfectly. Now Max just needed to hit the opponent as well but he could do little about that other than hope for the best. In the heat of the battle he forgot that Pixie hadn't answered how she had won against Falkner, he felt confident after his first plan had worked out, and if he could beat Pixie it didn't really matter anyway. If he could win over one who had a Zephyr Badge already, then he would be able to beat Falkner as well, right? "Time to attack Max! Tackle!" Albert called out excitedly, he really loved to battle and it was the thing he felt he was best at. The rattata jumped out from behind his hiding place and the rustling of grass caught Skadi's attention. She turned and dodged out of the way just in time as Max stumbled forward when he hit thin air instead of his opponent. Skadi was quick to take advantage and shot a blob of poisonous liquid at the nearby rattata and drenched him in it, he squeaked and threw himself in the grass in an attempt to rub the burning sensation off his skin, thus disappearing out of sight of Skadi once again. "Oh shoot, that was unlucky!" Albert said disappointed when he heard Max's trouble, he wasn't certain if his rattata had managed to tackle Skadi first or not, it had been hard to see through the fog. "Are you alright Max?" he called out and got some frustrated and angry sounds as answer, and a little smirk appeared on Albert's face. "Sounds like it has become personal," He lighthearted called out to Pixie before he returned his attention to Max again. "Go hide in the dry, tall grass and be ready to strike!" He ordered and both Skadi and Pixie could hear the rattata shuffle around somewhere but the fog made it really hard to pinpoint where exactly. Pixie smiled as Venoshock hit while she hated to see two pokemon fight she still liked to see her Pokemon win. It meant her Pokemon didn't take as much damage as they had to anyway. Pixie bit her lip in show of her anxiety the young boy seemed very focused on winning the battle.
The pink haired girl knew full well that Skadi was starting something but the shy girl was to scared to tell her outgoing, strong Pokemon off. Skadi smiled back at Pixie as to say "Hey it's ok. Trust in me" but that was only a brief look one easily missed and one that Pixie did.
Skadi scanned the fogged up grass while keeping her fur puffed out to show she wasn't scared of the rattata. Her shiny blue eyes scanned and scanned but still couldn't find him. She was going to have to wait for him to launch an attack that was now the hope. Skadi chirped as to try and get Pixie's attention.
"o-oh! S-sorry again Skadi! U-use other tackle!"

Albert was scratching his chin and tapping his foot in a display of deep thinking, he made some sighs and some hums as well to show he really, really thought hard. That was how people got ideas in the television so that must be the way you thought when you needed good ideas. He squinted through the fog but it gave him little help when he couldn't really see either pokemon or Pixie, and he sighed again. He looked surprised at Pixie when she gave her order to Skadi. "You can see them?" He called out, it would be much easier to make a plan if he could see what was going on, although he had been trying to use the fog for his own advantages. He half panicked, if Pixie could see both pokemon and Skadi had her orders already, then Max needed his so he could retaliate. "Max! Quick Attack! Get out of there!" He shouted and something moved behind Skadi. That was the main reason she hadn't been able to spot the elusive rattata, she didn't have eyes in the back of her head. Max had sneaked around as silently as possible, he didn't fancy getting hit by another of those burning liquids whatever it had been. He had managed to get most of it rubbed off and the humidity from the fog helped cool the rest so it didn't bother him anymore. He paused when he heard Skadi chirp and he crept forward like he so often had seen meowths do. He was ready. Albert's panicked voice confused Max but he understood he had to be fast as something he hadn't noticed in this dense mist was underway, something that could mean big trouble. He dashed forward and Skadi finally heard him but he was over her before she got turned fully around and the two were sprawled on the wet grass before they knew it. Skadi was the first back up and she pushed Max back down again, she was not going to let him out of her sight again, if she could avoid it. Max clattered annoyed with his teeth. Meanwhile Albert was beamed in his belief he had managed to disrupt whatever sinister plan Pixie had had. "How did we do?" He called excited out to her. Pixie looked on to the battlefield in fear and slight excitement as it was going well. But the fog was making it hard for both sides and drawing out the fight meaning the shy girl had to try and be social for longer, which she hated. But there was no way she was going to let him win not when she and Skadi were this close.
"I-I'm not sure. It's hard to fight like this" she stuttered, but there was an end in sight to this battle and that's all she had to think about. "Skadi, lets use other tackle keep calm and find him in the fog" she announced to her beloved bug Pokemon.
Skadi narrowed her blue eyes and tried to find the rat in the fog. where are you" she thought.
