As Ororo moved to a different part of the route, he came upon a very strange scene of a man crawling on the floor, playing a game with his Mareep. He was wearing long sleeve shirt and pants, but his clothing were covered with dirt form playing too hard with his Mareep. Next to him, was his Snubull, who was running back and forth parallel to them, having her own fun. He was counting some numbers as they were moving gradually, and anyone who watched him would be confuse what sort of inside joke level of a game was this (or if he was not afraid to embarassed himself). Suddenly, the Snubbull stopped and growled, as she spotted Ororo and his Staryu next to him. The man turned his head and looked at Ororo for good several seconds, and then stood up with a loud "YAASSS, SIS!!!" "Finally, we're getting bored here. Do you know any new games we can play with our Pokemon? We got tired of hide and seek and running around. My name is Brendan, let's have a Pokemon battle, I bet it's more fun than the game we're playing," he introduced himself, and sent his Snubbull foward.
Pokefan Brendan sent out his (Level 22) Yeet
Weather= MistOOC: I have no intention to explain what this game was other than vague description of a weird man in the middle of route 34 would the mareep's name be "big mood"

Ororo was quite taken aback by the stranger’s odd behavior. He was covered in dirt and playing with his Pokemon as if he were one himself. Why didn’t he just have another one of his Pokemon come out and play with the other one? Not wanting to be rude, Ororo simply chuckled at the silly man. At a loss for words she simply nodded, adding “Sure, we can battle if you’d like.”
The researcher in training noticed the foe’s Snubbull, a Pokemon that was sought after in Johto due to its appearance. Many people wanted a little pink dog, this species of Pokemon was adored for its wonky facial features. Although it looked like an ornery little guy, its pink coloring juxtaposed its grumpy disposition. Granted, it would turn into something a little less cuddly upon evolution. Ororo knew this Pokemon was known for its wicked attack stat, so she had to think carefully about which teammate she would send out to battle the puppy. “Alright Poli, come on out and use your Bubblebeam!” The Poliwhirl did a silly flex and shot out the iridescent water bubbles towards the fairy type. Ororo waited in anticipation to see what this dog could do. (( 202 to incubatorrrr. Sending out Poliwhirl and using bubblebeam))

Anyone watching a grown man scrounging around in the dirt on his hands and knees would have thought he'd lost his marbles. But to Brendan, he hadn't lost them, he was winning the game of marbles against his Mareep; Big Mood - evidently not a remarkable achievement given the Pokemon's lack of hands. Flicking one Poke Ball along the ground and clattering against another Poke Ball, he was having all sorts of fun. Now here was this young lady with jet black hair appearing out of the mist with her Staryu twirling alongside her. He couldn't be more excited when she accepted his challenge almost as if he'd asked her to the school ball and she said yes. "Hey, I don't think I caught your name. Let me guess, Water Pokemon, in this weather... the name's Misty amirite?" Brendan chuckled heartily at his own joke. "Haw haw haw!" His Snubbull looked on with the grumpy face of hers, not even reacting at the slightest to the joke. "Wait, wait, I got some more. Why did the Staryu cross the road?... To get... to get to... the other tide!" The Pokefan could barely contain his own laughter, tears beginning to stream from his eyes. "Hey wait, one more, one more. Imma let you finish but Big Mood right here... he gets gassy after drinking Moo Moo Milk... I think he's ZAPDOSE intolerant." Brendan buckled at the knees and started rolling around on the floor chortling uncontrollably before finally getting up and holding both arms in the air like he'd just won a gold medal. "Thank you. Thank you ladies and gentlemen!" Ororo's Poliwhirl seemed to have finally had enough of this man's shenanigans and initiated proceedings with a stream of iridescent bubbles. The bubbles struck the Snubbull who didn't seem too phased at first but the intensity slowly built up and eventually, the beam was so irrepressible that the fairy bulldog was sent flying backwards into the dew-covered grass. Getting up gingerly, Yeet looked very unimpressed and the Grumpy Cat expression of hers sent Brendan into another fit of laughter. "Hahaha! Did you see the look on her face?" The Pokefan stood pointing and laughing at his own Pokemon. "Hey, hey. Yeet is pretty neat. You know what her favourite confectionary is?... Polipop!" As Brendan began chortling again, Yeet sighed deeply and got the message. She advanced forward on the Poliwhirl and slid a slimy wet tongue down the Water Pokemon's cheek who shivered uncomfortably at the unwelcome touch. The man’s actions continued to get more peculiar. He didn’t seem dangerous at all, Ororo could hold her own with the Pokemon she’d trained, so she wasn’t worried. The man seemed to just be joking around; perhaps silly would be a better word. She wondered if he was a retired clown or just eccentric but then thought it best not to ask in fear of either appearing rude or starting a long conversation that she didn’t want to engage in. She’d always been quite shy and silent. “Misty? I believe I’d met her in the past… but that seems like such a long time ago now. You can call me Ororo if you’d like.” She waited for him to point out the strangeness of her name, hopefully, the irony wouldn’t be lost on him.
The man’s puns were one thing she couldn’t handle. Inside she cringed so hard she could feel her bones rattling, but she’d never let it show. She laughed nervously, always conflict-averse. “Good one…” okay maybe her awkward response was more evident than she presumed. “But to answer your previous question, yes I do train water Pokemon. They comprise a large portion of the world’s Pokemon, so researching the type made the most sense. As for the mist, I think they like the dampness.” She tried making small talk about the weather, but she didn’t like saying anything without substance. Polipop was getting tired of his yammering, but he was always polite. It was easy to do so when you could take your frustrations out on battling. Ororo didn’t question Yeet’s name either, it seemed another point of contention that she didn’t want to cross. “Alright Poli, use another Bubblebeam.” The Poliwhirl was happy to do so, willing to do anything it took to get away from the strange man. ((304 to incubatorrrrr. Poli using the bubblez again!))

Polipop indeed enjoyed the dampness of the day. Mist always had that effect on water Pokemon for the most part. They enjoyed basking in the damp weather, it was almost what sun was for grass and fire type pokemon. So while on days like this where the latter hid, the Water Pokemon enjoyed it. "That so? I guess today would have been a good day for fishin' huh?" he asked. "You ain't Misty, but it sure is Misty. Ain't that right Yeet?" he asked his precious Pokemon. As the Poliwhirl launched another array of bubbles, as if to just shut the man up for two seconds, he clicked his tounge while his Snubbull staggered from the attack. "I wouldn't be so quick to stop playing with Yeet here, fam...I think you'll find my next Pokemon quite....Shocking!" If Yeet agreed, it didn't show in the Pokemon's face. "Let's keep the zingers coming, use Headbutt Yeet!" he called to his Pokemon. Yeet slammed into the Poliwhirl, using to some extra push in his paws not to stagger against the other Pokemon's rather large and gelatin-esque figure. Why Brendan was so eager to be 'Hip with the kids', no one knew but the man himself. However, people around them tried to get back to their own business. After all, he was Ororo's problem right now, so why trouble themselves?Brendan's Yeet |Level 22| HP: 16% (11/67) Status: Normal Yeet used Headbutt! Yeet did 16 Damage! Did you know the past tense of 'Yeet' is 'Yote'?
Ororo's Polipop |Level 25| HP: 69% (52/75) Status: ATK -1 Polipop used Bubble Beam! Polipop did 26 Damage! Keep talking to me and I will Yeet you out a window.

Poli was certainly enjoying himself in the dampness of the battlefield. The king’s rock he was holding really made him happy and cheerful. Ororo noticed he’d been getting closer and closer to the item he was holding; she knew he had to be close to evolving with it soon.
He’d do a little dance, similar to that on a certain Mr Rime Pokemon; a species Ororo had recently heard about from a colleague vacationing in Galar. Despite the Poliwhirl’s elation, Ororo was still concerned with the opponent’s odd dialect. Something incredibly modern--not bad, but as someone who lives pretty off grid, she had no clue what was going on.
“Alright Poli, use another bubblebeam! Let’s get this finished so we can continue our research.” She didn’t want to try and explain to him that the king’s rock should be helping him evolve soon, but she had a good feeling he knew what was up. His personality was much more Politoed than Poliwrath and the researcher was keen on studying the effects of certain items on water Pokemon. Ororo forgot that the other trainer was present again, she’d been focusing too hard on the upcoming evolution. She was never one for small talk anyway. ((using bubblebeam))

Brendan had little doubt that Yeet was not going to win as it was clear that Poli was just too tough. He was not too worried however as he still had his Mareep in backup and in weather like this an electric type could quickly turn things around. Not being one to give up however Brendan ordered Yeet to attack one final time hoping to cause a bit of damage before being knocked out. " Oh Yeet my dear Snubbull, please use your Lick one more time. Any damage you can do to help dear Volt will be very helpful." Yeet was not fast enough however as Poli quickly fired off a Bubblebeam scoring a direct hit on the canine. The Snubbull was sent flying backwards skidding on the ground before halting at Brendan's feet. " My dear Yeet, you did your best but Volt will have to take over things from here." He then recalled the young fairy type and tossed another Pokeball in front of him revealing his beloved Mareep. The electric type shook as the mist soaked into it's wool. It was far from favorable weather for Pokemon who were not a huge fan of getting wet but the young sheep had to make due to not disappoint it's trainer. " My dear Volt, being my last Pokemon you will have quite a bit of work cut out for you. Make sure you show our opponent just how strong you are."Trainer Battle Weather: Misty (Clear) [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Yeet LV 22 HP 0% [0/65]
