(I hope this is the right place to post it, since it is a pokemon game, although not one of the official ones) I stumbled over this game, when I saw a playthrough on youtube and I still have yet to try it, as my boyfriend is still asleep It has been fun to hear what you others have experienced in the cbox. So what do people think about the game until now? And what are your team?

So... I had written a detailed outline of my thoughts of the little I've seen of this game. I then had to reboot Chrome because it was slowing my computer down to the point that I could barely use the damn thing. UGH. ;-;
But yeah, I really like the way this looks already. The story has the same "Pokemon" feel while looking like something completely new that Game Freak would never actually make themselves. The Gen 4 feel is really nice. I like the look of all the starters (although, avoiding spoilers for the time being, typings might be a little unbalanced...) so I have no idea what I'll pick when I eventually get to this game. Adding the Delta species concept from the TCG is a nice touch; I'd forgotten those even existed. All in all, it looks great. Will play some time soon-ish, depending on whether this old potato-computer can handle it.
EDIT: The one problem I have... the music is clearly Pokemon music, but I can't place my finger on which tracks are from where. That's actually really irritating. xD

And we have started! And played several hours, but now he needs a rest I like it so far as well, although it is a challenge with so many ground/rock types (due to the opponents). It is nice with especially the variety, and therefore the challenges the trainers give you. My boyfriend also pointed out one NPC that talked about, that there was a price if you didn't evolve your eevee. Lvl. 12 Sussie is my starter and is doing pretty well. I'd preferred the male version as I like the design better, but I didn't want to restart and all that. Lvl. 11 Tjalfe was the first one I caught, I have always loved the male nidoran line. Lvl. 11 Erna I ended up catching as well, although I'm not big fan of ghost so I'm not sure if I'm keeping her in the long run. Lvl. 10 Canth is the newest member of the group I can't get the dexNav to work though.

Okay, so I decided to take the egglocke challenge, because I wanted to understand how it actually worked. I could choose if I wanted the eggs randomized or chosen from a file on the computer, and since I'm pretty sure I don't have the proper files, I chose randomized. Story runs the same I like the plot and introduction to the character by the way: "You're being brainwashed, do you still remember who you are?", and then you finally get to choosing a starter it won't really matter what you choose, unless you want to consider what your rival Damien ends up with. As soon as you have named your starter, box 1 from the computer pops up, and you have to change the starter (now named 'Egg Token') with one of the many eggs. You can decide which egg, but you can only see their names. (Yes, each egg has a name). I picked Jessie. Immediately Jessie hatched into an Ekans. You are asked if you want to put it into another Pokeball, but so far it hasn't really mattered. The hatched Pokemon elevates into the level the 'Egg Token' was. After beating Damien, I went and had a look at Jessie the Ekans. He came with Iron Tail and a couple other moves I'm pretty sure was egg moves. He has 31 in all IV's (as do all other eggs that hatches). It's far from all that have egg moves though. Every hatchling carries an item too. Jessie has Black Sludge. Others have one of the Choice items or carries Life Orbs. After hatching, they elevate to their level, and you get to decide whether they should learn any moves that came with that level up. Now, the starter was a special case, but after that you are catching Pokemon normally, except they are 'fainted' and turned into 'Egg Tokens' as soon as they are put on your team. From there you have to physically go to your PC in the Pokecenter and change the tokens for eggs. The Pokemon you catch are registered normally in the Pokedex, so I'm going for Pokemon I haven't caught before, when catching 'tokens', though it would probably be easier to just catch whatever, until you have the number of 'tokens' you want. When I travel around catching Pokemon I've made sure that the PC boxes is left on one of the spare ones, that isn't filled with eggs. I have four of those, while the rest is stuffed with eggs(or the tokens that have replaced the eggs). I'm not sure what happens if the box is set on one of the egg boxes though. And with this I've reached what I actually have hatched so far. A big part of the names are telling, but not always easy to figure out, when you don't know for sure what the idea behind the name is. I've just reached route 2 in the game. All of my hatchlings: Edit: updated hatches and team

Okay, so far. I am enjoying the game. LOVE IT. In fact. I picked the dark side of things instead of going for traditional [though I wish I knew about that egg part :O SO COOL!] I am not that far ahead but I am trying to work my way there~ Here some spoilers!

I found the Secret Bases/Friend Safari! I wouldn't mind testing it out with anyone else that has gotten theirs :3 Figure we can keep a nice clean list of everyone's here, so if you'd like to post your Username in the game (you register it if you do anything that connects to their servers) then I'll edit it in: ◓ Lamont: Lamont (Poison Type Safari)
Now the hard part of deciding my base theme... ...

Time to make an update, and though it has been quite some time, I thought I actually wanted to have something to post. It is going very slowly here, and as you can all probably see by the levels, we haven't got far. Just beat the mini-tournament in the Pokemon School yesterday But oh boy do I miss a water type and/or a grass type.. Pokemon Team I restarted a new game and played it up until I had the same pokemon and same level, as with the other, just to get the male delta bulbasaur. Took me several tries, as it popped up as female all the time, so I think there are bigger chances to get female than male here, even though their wiki says its 50/50. Orion lv 15. ♂ Tjalfe lv 16 ♂ Moria lv 15 ♀ I don't usually like heatmor much, but I decided to try it out since I met and caught her in the first hidden grotto you come to (a lot of time we have just logged in to go there, and then out again). Moria has been quite an asset to the team though. Shimrio lv 15.♀ When I learned you could trade for this one, which I haven't tried to use much, I went and trained a butterfree as much as I could to boost it's level, and I haven't regretted. Canth lv 17.♂ Has been a challenge in all the caves until he learned a rock type move) Wynona lv 10 ♀ Newest addition to the team and neither trained nor tested yet. Again one I haven't played with before I wanted to try out and see how she will work as my flying type. Erna lv 15 ♀ Has been a big help with her Mean Look and Hypnosis, but there are few ghost types I'm interested in, so she has been given af rest for now. Egghead lv 15 ♀ .. I think the name shows how much I love this pokemon, but I really needed a grass type and she has saved my behind more than once, so I'll give her that. She too has been given a rest for now. Boyfriend's Team. He is going for purple pokemon, sort off and he was quite surprised that I'd like to note down his team, since "it wasn't done yet" Grim lv. 18 ♂ He too has chosen charmander, although he is stalling the evolution for getting a move a bit faster, and he likes it's lighter color better than what it becomes. And only one named. Zubat lv 14 ♂ He was quite surprised to learn that fainting pokemon would cause them to lose happiness, and it worried him a bit as he'd like to evolve this and his team live a hard life. Butterfree 14 ♂ He is determined to keep this one, and I do my best to help him avoid pokemon that has type disadvantage against it. Nidoran 15 ♂ Kept mostly for it's fighting move to break stone, me thinks. gastly 16 ♀ phanpy 12 ♀ Newest member and just begun training. He thought he lacked a ground type. He has used a blitzle a lot as well, although I don't remember its level. It is below 18 as it hasn't learned flame wheel yet

I took this up again today and found that my saved files have disappeared. Probably while I was in the process of changing computer a while back. Anyway, I wanted something partly mind-numbing so began a new game choosing just the nuzlocke mode for a challenge (thereby forcing myself to actually follow the rule of boxing the fainted Pokemons). I'm slightly confused how much the nuzlocke follow the 'only the first Pokemon per route', mostly because I have had coincidences where I thought I might not be able to catch something, but succeeded anyway. It began with an Abra teleporting away as my first meeting in the small Dark Cave. My second meeting in there was a Zubat, which I caught no problem. Outside in the open of route 1 I caught a Blitzle first thing, but later met a shiny Meowth and was able to catch that too, so now I don't know if the game actually have some exceptions to the 'first pokemon' rule, or we are supposed to go by the honour system. In the mine in Midna I first ran away from a Shuckle and was able to catch a Nosepass instead. My current team: I was in no mood for creative nicknamesEevee: Moon, lvl 20, female Nidorino: Rabbit, lvl 21, male Blitzle: Horse, lvl 21, male Shiny Meowth: Shine, lvl 21, male Azumarill: Mouse, lvl 21, male Whismur: Loud, lvl 17, female Deceased - Zubat: Bat, lvl 11, male (killed off by that annoying Murkrow on route 1) - Nosepass: Nose, lvl 14, male (killed off by the research lady's Emolga in Midna Mine) - Baltoy: Ellie, lvl 20, genderless (killed off in Cyan Cavern by a wild Shuckle ) On a side note: Pokemon fainted in the school tournament doesn't count as deceased apparently. All are healed back to full health, like the tournament never happened.

With the last couple days not having access to mah main machine much I was gettin' some time to get back into this! :D
Anyone else still play it? xD I started a new game on Hard Mode and ho boy... It is a challenge @.@ Level capped so you cannot be higher level than the next main NPC battle and the major NPCs pokémon have crazy powerful moves with great coverage. Just did the Trainer School capped at LV 17 and had to go through a Luxio with Iron Tail and Quilava with Extrasensory and stuff like that xD It's basically impossible to just glide on through with a single team. You have to be training specifically for your next challenge.

Nice! I'm really enjoying the difficulty though not so much the mandatory grinding when I have to switch party members to prepare for the next gym xD If I ever make it to the Elite Four I'm probably going to be creamed! At least you don't lose money when you lose haha.
The fight with Nora in her hometown versus Celebi... @.@ Didn't help that I forgot she was there and had an egg in my party xD
And I think they fixed the Friend Safaris! Not 100% sure but I can login and look around now. I might try to visit a random base this weekend.

And we got the game startet again, my bf is pretty underleveled and has some trouble with it, while I'm doing a bit better. We have gotten one town on, so we have just reached Mechi Town ^^' My tried to battle the cerebi holding rival and lost to her badly, so grinding has started.. Current team: Orion has evolved and become lvl 27 Moria is still showing her worth, lvl 27 Haneko, my grass pokemon, lvl 26 Fanny, a tricky one to train, lvl 24 Shimrio, lvl 19 Cleaver, gotten todays session and I like it, lvl 26 Others Zep, my water type, lvl 30 Xiro, lvl 22 (just because dragon) Tjalfe, lvl 25, stubbornly keeping. Wynona, lvl 25, flying one. Not sure if I get to use Canth (rogenrola) or Rio the riolu again, I kind of want to, but it gives so much grinding so they are less focused on at the moment.
