Krystal slowly left the lab and looked around. It was winter and it was quite cold. She walked through New Bark slowly, exploring the sights. She was finally a pokemon trainer. She looked to her pokeball then looked around once more. It was winter and she had a fire type, but Charmander had fire on his tail. That should keep it warm enough, right? Especially if Starblaze kept his tail close to him. She decided to give it a shot, and see how it went. She held out her pokeball and called out. "Come on out Starblaze!" She gave a small smile as a charmander came out from the pokeball. She bent down and patted his head a little before standing back up. Now the two could look around together.

Snowflakes drifted down from the sky. Each flake settling softly upon the landscape and encasing every bit in an ever growing blanket of white. As the day went on though that snowfall teetered off, now only the occasional tiny frozen crystal dancing through the sky. It seemed it was going to clear up finally. It may even be a nice day for the beginning of Krystal's long pokémon journey. The wild pokémon of the route picked up on this change in the weather. Though the birds on route 29 were still a bit loathe to exit their nests unless needed other inhabitants were interested in having a bit of fun with the fluffy white stuff. One in particular would make itself well known to the trainer. Up ahead a squeal of joy would grab Krystal's attention. There was a red spotted bear teetering back and forth on the spot just at the edge of one of the route's ledges. With a swing of its little arms it jumped into the air and disappeared into a bank of snow just below; a plume of fluffy snow bursting into the air after it. Krystal could hear the Spinda, lost inside the pile of white, giggling and shuffling through the material with a wet squeak. Eventually it burrowed its way out of the snow, dancing like a drunkard as its species typically does. It stopped to shake itself off, then made a full 360 spin for fun. As it did though it spotted the trainer. Spinda stopped, head lobbing back and forth as its swirling eyes locked onto her. It smiled and scurried toward her, arm raising into the air to give her a friendly wave. When it was a handful of feet away it stopped and chirped its name, then waited for her response. Spinda (LV 4) is asking for a battle! Select a pokémon to battle & declare your first move!
