Hunting in the dark(F)

After spending so much time hunting for Pokémon in the Dark Cave, it seemed that Tyler's patience was finally about to pay off. He and his team had found many of the Dark Cave's Pokémon, but the rarest Pokémon this cave had to offer had still eluded them. Until now that is. From out of the shadows, a new voice was heard. "Wynaut." Not even five seconds after that, a strange looking, blue colored appendage appeared from the shadows behind some large rocks. What ever it was, it pointed right at Tyler and Blitz, without revealing the rest of it's body to them just yet. The hidden Pokémon remained hidden for another thirty seconds or so, before jumping out of it's hiding spot, coming out into the light, and into full view for the trainer and his Pokémon to see. "Wy. Wy. Wynaut." This extremely rare Pokémon smiled at Tyler and Blitz, giving them a friendly greeting.

Just as Tyler was ready to give up on his search a strange voice reignited his hopes of encountering the other rumored rare Pokemon in the Dark Cave and the appearance of a blue appendage behind some rocks only increased his excitement. As Tyler thought about running towards it and grabbing it before it could escape the small blue Pokemon stepped into the light finally revealing itself. The strange blue Pokemon was a Wynaut and Tyler knew just how lucky he had gotten by finding it. " Oh boy, the rumors were indeed true. This is quite a find and I know we can make some serious cash selling Wynaut eggs." As soon as he calmed down from the excitement however he knew he needed to do quite a bit of damage before trying to capture it.

" The one real issue is going to be weakening this critter without knocking it out as from what I recall Wynaut are pretty frail Pokemon. Since I cannot afford to knock out such a rare beast my only hope lies in moves with set levels of damage and Flint's Dragon Rage will be the most useful option so we do not knock it out." Flint was quite eager to get started as well since helping Tyler bag this rare Pokemon would help him improve his relationship with the young rocket recruit. The fire type stepped forward looking at the friendly Pokemon and snorted ready to show the little psychic type a thing or two about power.

Before Flint could launch his attack however Tyler just had to have a little chat with their elusive new friend as it had been a huge pain to locate. " You have costed my quite a bit of time and for that you owe me big, I could have been getting ready for another mission but instead I chose to look for you so do not expect mercy from me. This first attack should convince you to stop wasting peoples time, Flint use Dragon Rage." With his orders now set Flint got ready to launch his attack aimed right at the face of the young psychic type. Just like Tyler he had no mercy in his body and he was going to make sure Wynaut suffered for its cowardly ways.

With a deep breath a large blue flame shot from his mouth and sped towards Wynaut as Flint and Tyler hoped their plan would pay off. If it did capturing Wynaut in the next round would be a far easier task than it currently was.

Wynaut's smiled remained, as it looked up at Tyler and Blitz, happy to meet some new faces. And Wynaut's joy only grew when it saw how happy Tyler was to have found it, even though it didn't really know what cash was. Little did the bright Pokémon know that it was about to enter a world of pain, fueled by seemingly endless hours of searching and frustration. When Tyler called out Flint, Wynaut smiled once again, overjoyed to see yet another new face. "Wy. Wynaut." Wynaut approached Flint, and extended one of it's arms out to him as a kind of greeting. However, Flint's greeting was far less friendly then Wynaut's.

Much to the Psychic type's shock, Flint unleashed a powerful stream of blue flames from it's mouth, engulfing Wynaut almost instantly. "Wynaut!" Wynaut let out a cry of pain, as the flames not only caused it a fair amount of damage, but also pushed it back several feet. As Wynaut laid their in the dirt, it took a moment to ponder why this trainer and his Pokémon were treating it this way, especially after it had given them such a friendly greeting. Wynaut slowly got back on it's feet, not out of this battle yet, and decided to make another attempt to win them over. "Wynaut! Naut!" Wynaut gave Flint a very charming look, using the best Charm attack it would muster. It's efforts may not win the Fire type over, but this did a very good job of lowering his attack power.

Tyler's plan had worked perfectly as Wynaut had enough health to endure Flint's Dragon Rage. Given how rare the small psychic type was he was hoping he did not miscalculate how much health it would have and he was very pleased that now he would have a chance to try and capture Wynaut before it could escape now that it's health had been drained considerably after taking such a powerful strike. He was glad he had saved a Dusk Ball for this very occasion and he wasted no time in getting the ball ready to throw after searching for the elusive Pokemon for so long. The strange looking ball was a perfect match for Wynaut's elusive nature and Tyler was hoping the final part of his plan would go through as planned.

" You were quite a hard creature to find and I give you credit when it is due but your hopes of remaining a free Pokemon are about to come crashing down if this DUsk Ball works as well as it usually does. You will be very useful to me once I can train you a bit but at least my search has finally come to an end. I can assure you that under my ownership you will be a force no sane person will ever mess with especially given your unique fighting style. Flint you did good but stand by just in case our luck does not pan out with this capture."  He said as Flint stood ready to endure anything the Wynaut could throw at him as he felt the elusive Pokemon might have one final trick up its sleeve.

" Now then let's put an end to this crazy hunt so I can do some damage elsewhere, Go Dusk Ball capture this elusive Pokemon so I can get out of this nightmare of a cave." The ball left his hand and sped towards Wynaut with a purple glow emanating from its center gaining power from the darkness within the cave.  The ball looked like it was lined up to score a hit center mass. As they awaited the results Flint really hoped for this nightmare to come to an end. He knew that the cave would not help him train much more and he needed a change of scenery after looking for this annoying Wynaut for so long. Blitz on the other hand just wanted the capture to be a success so Tyler might be in a better mood for a while so it could relax for a little while.

The Wynaut looked at the opposing pokemon, totally unaware of the current situation. It was still trying to intimidate the opposing pokemon, fully tuned out to the affairs around it. Suddenly, a little capsul ball hit it on the head and it was sucked inside. "WYNAUT!" It cried out as it got sucked in. It shook once... twice... and three times. The Wynaut was captured! Soon, it popped out of the pokeball and jumped onto it's new trainers head. Keeping this wynaut in the pokeball would be very very difficult.

Tyler was filled with relief as the dark ball clicked shut but just when he thought he had the last laugh the small psychic type somehow opened its ball by itself and climbed onto his head. At first he thought it was a bad dream but then he realized this young Pokemon was going to be quite the little trouble maker. " This thing must have a death wish or something coming out of its ball without being told. Mania if this thing does not get off my head in the next three seconds please knock it into a wall with your Dark Pulse. It might be the more dangerous way to get it off me but it cannot use any move to protect itself that way."

Right before he started to count the young Wynaut suddenly jumped off of his head and tried to run over to Mania to try and play with her fur. The look on the canines face made it pretty clear that she was ready to kill it if he did not recall it as quickly as possible. " Get back in your ball now you little pest." He said as he recalled Wynaut right before Mania's short temper gave out. " That little pest is lucky, another second and I would have eaten it for lunch. It had better pray it never comes near me again or else it will not be so lucky." Tyler nodded as he fixed his hair and started to make his way to the entrance of the cave with his Pokemon.

Once they reached the entrance they made their way to the Pokemon Center in Violet City so that he could change Pokemon now that his adventure in the Dark Cave was finished. As he stood by the pc he saw a message in his inbox from headquarters telling him of a new assignment in Cherrygrove and he was very pleased to receive another mission. " I think Glock will be very useful for this mission so Volcano can go in my pc for now. Our mission is pretty important but as I do not know if anyone is listening lets head to the location first and then I will brief everyone on the task. Do note though that no humans are to be harmed during this mission unless I say otherwise."

With the Pokemon swap now completed and Tyler making one rule for the coming mission very clear they headed towards the location of their next mission.



OOC: Swapping Volcano for Glock. Moving this to the archives and going to start Operation Dig in a new thread. Bait is going in Tyler's pc for now. Also adding 650 exp to Flint for the successful capture.
