Evening all! We have been working hard in the staff forums and have ironed out some improvements for some existing things on the forum.
Egg Tier Changes
After some discussion we have adjusted some of the placings in the Tiers due to stat & move power changes over the years, or whatever other concerns we had with where they were placed. They are as follows:
Ilex Forest
While we haven't gotten to doing replacement navigational images for the threads... WE HAVE A MAP!
The Welcome Centre has been spruced up to describe better what Ilex is supposed to be (a Universal Group Thread Area *cough cough*), as well as includes a snazzy interactive Map for all your navigating needs! The Ilex boards themselves have been shuffled around to further help keep our board count down, and to keep Azalea Cleaner. By this I mean all those Ilex threads are not visible when you first go into the board; but with our clickable map you should need to fish through all the Ilex threads to get to the one you want anymore.
As well, the Ilex Quests have been moved out of the Welcome Centre into the Quest area, but you'd still post in Ilex to do them as it's always been.
Fishing
One of the poor neglected aspects of the forum, probably not helped by it not truly being completed. This is still a bit of a WiP, as we are planning to spice up the Water Encounters on the routes and finally fully implement the Fishing Skill (currently Finneon in Ethereal Lake is the only working example), but for now we have fleshed out how fishing works and all the bells and whistles you can spend your hard earned Pokédollars on.
The Fishing Guide has been updated to include all of the updates.
More fishing updates will come in the future :3
And that's all we have for now! We've still got a huge thing in the works that we're hoping to get out to you guys soon. It's been a long time coming and I'm sure you guys are excited for when we finally get Gen VII pokémon integrated. We're doing our best! Thank you for your patience, and we hope you all continue to enjoy your time on ZZ; maybe even Ilex now, haha!
Cheers all!

- Base Hook Chance has dropped to 70%, but Baits now exist to increase that to 100%. If you fail to hook a pokémon though, you may just get an item instead! Whether the item is useful or junk is all up to RNG though.
- Rod Levels have meaning now, and there is a necessity to upgrading your Old Rod compared to the old system where you could just level your Old Rod up to 100 and not care.
- Baits & Lures exist! They are sold in the Fishing Shop
