Once again Vör's keen senses picked up on even the slightest movement. Big or small, threatening or oblivious, none escaped her radar. Though, she still had a ways to go before she perfected her aura abilities. This would become fairly clear when the thing the group was all waiting for finally poked its head from around the corner. Little clicks as the small creature trotted closer signaled that it wasn't particularly large, but it didn't need to be in order to cause trouble. However, the feathered pokémon that strut out onto the street was less than intimidating. With a distant stare through wide open eyes a Pidove hopped into sight. It blinked dumbly then hopped further, cocking its head to the side a moment before pecking at tiny pebbles and dirt clumps at the side of the road. The pidgeon continued on without any consideration to its new company. It pecked again, then something shiny caught its eye and it became excited all of a sudden. Happy and relieved. The bird derply hopped to the side and thrust its head to the ground to pick it up; only to be met with a splash. Beak thrust firmly into the puddle the ripples disturbed the reflection of a street light that had just turned on due to the thick thunderclouds rolling in. Needless to say the bird was a little stunned, and the clap of thunder shook the sky shortly after turned the Pidove into a wreck of nerves. With a screech it scuttled closer to Marchbaby flailing in fear. Pidove (LV 6) stumbled in! Will Marchbaby send a pokémon out to fight it?

The next Pokemon to appear was not what Marchbaby was looking for nor was it a high enough level to help raise Vör but t was still a Pokemon he did not have and as it was so young he knew it could not do very much damage to any of his Pokemon for quite some time and with that in mind he could not pass up the chance to capture a Pidove as it might be a useful Pokemon to breed as well as adding to his growing collection. With Vör not being an option for this battle however Marchbaby knew he had to pick one of his other Pokemon but before he could say a word Kamikaze stepped forward willing to act as bait as he tried to capture the bird Pokemon.
" Thank you Kamikaze, you made my choice a bit easier there but please remember we are not going to harm this little one as any of your attacks that do damage will knock it out in a single blow and we do not want to do that. I just need you to act as bait until we get luck enough to capture it at full health as tough as that may be. It is a good thing I have some Great Balls as they should come in handy against Pidove but even then there is a good chance it will break out a few times." As the weasel Pokemon stepped forward Marchbaby reached into his backpack and pulled out a Great Ball with his free hand with keeping the Quick Ball handy in case he encountered the Pokemon he was truly after once this battle was over.
" I am keeping my Quick Ball out just in case but I am saving that for now. I am going to try and use a Great Ball now Kamikaze so be ready. I hope luck is on our side but we all know how much our luck likes to fluctuate during capture attempts." He said before winding up a pitch. He threw the blue, red, and white ball as fast as he could while Kamikaze stood by just in case things did not go his way. Just before the ball reached its target Marchbaby quickly spoke to the bird hoping his words would net him good luck. " Pidove if you decide to come with me I can raise you to your full potential. I will always welcome one more on the team."
OOC: Sending out Kamikaze but using a Great Ball instead of attacking. Updating the Great Ball myself.

Clearly unsettled by the weather, Pidove might've actually been relieved when Marchbaby whipped out and tossed a Great Ball at it. The Flying type shivered nervously up until the moment the sphere ensnared it. With a splash, the ball landed on the street floor and began to roll in all sorts of directions. The would-be-captor could only watch as his quarry slowly began to settle down in that prison, its will to break out slowly fading. And fading. And... after several wiggles, a familiar tone rang out to confirm the capture.
Congratulations! Pidove has been caught! Kamikaze gained a paltry 300 EXP for her non-participation! As Marchbaby celebrated his successful capture he saw a strange looking object sitting on top of a nearby trashcan and he went to investigate. " Would you look at that, someone left a Lucky Egg here and it looks like they were going to throw it away. I lost my old one a while back so I sure could use it to help train Vör. Usually I would not think of taking it but since it is on top of the trash no one seems to want it so I say lets bring it along with us. Vör hold onto it for me as it will allow you to still gain levels against lower leveled Pokemon so we will not need to rely on luck any more." He said as the young Lucario grabbed the egg and held onto it. With their discovery he now did not have to worry about leaving the area any time soon as she would be able to gain levels and experience for quite some time now that they had acquired such a special item. Even if it would not make the Pokemon he was after come out any faster it was at least a start. " Now that the problem of raising you Vör here has been fixed let's continue our search. I am sure we will get lucky at one point or another if we keep trying." Vör shook her head in agreement as she started to scan the aura of all the nearby living organisms again hoping to pinpoint the other Pokemon they were after. It did not take her very long to find something else either. " I can see something else in the alley to the right at the end of this road. My powers might still need more work but there is no denying that something is there. I am sure if we keep trying though we will get lucky but lets go see if this is a lucky break or not." She said as Marchbaby walked towards the alley with all of his Pokemon following close behind. He did not want to jump the gun just in case luck would be on their side again but Vör was ready to strike if they got unlucky. " Be ready Vör, we are really close to where you saw the aura. Do not strike until we know what it is though." After issuing his warning he waited to see if luck would be on his side again. OOC: Moving the Lucky Egg from Kevin's inventory into March's and putting it on Vör. Waiting for another encounter. Putting Birdy in March's PC for now. The alley was comfortably spacious, something no doubt appreciated at first, but as they walked and the heavy clouds above began sprinkling them all it might have been nice to have a narrower passage; for the better protection from the thunderstorm that had snuck up on the city. Up ahead a trash can rattled. Vör's aura senses proving to be right once again it seemed March and Co. had found another pokémon roaming the streets. Currently though it was still in the bin rummaging around making it a bit difficult to figure out what exactly it was they had found. One of Cherrygrove's own trash panda's perhaps? Or a feline having a bit of mischievous fun? It was hard to say as there weren't any other noises than the rummaging. The lid was off so it was possible to creep right up to the side and peek in, but no doubt that would come with some unfortunate side effects in the way of spooking a wild pokémon. Luckily the damp weather solved this problem for them. A flash of lightning lit up the sky and shortly after a booming rumble ripped through the clouds in a crisp crackle that seemed directly overhead. Whatever had been in the garbage pin screeched. Startled, the wild pokémon jumped against the side of the bin and knocked it over. Garbage was spewed along the alleyway along with a long smooth figure. Yellow slit eyes instantly locked onto the trainer and his pokémon. The snake hissed, rattling its tail in warning not to come any closer. The maraca sound barely audible over the slap of rain beating against the concrete. An Ekans (LV 10) was found! Which pokémon will battle?

The rain would have normally been a pain to put up with as none of his Pokemon were water type but in this case it was quite a good tool as the thunder produced by the storm prevented him from making a costly error. Had he tried to identify their next opponent by digging the Pokemon out of the garbage bin he likely would have been bit by the Ekans. As dangerous as the Pokemon could be it was far less dangerous at range so long as he could avoid its Poison Sting attack. He even strongly considered battling the Pokemon until he remembered that he had found a Nest Ball the last time he was in his estate.
" This could actually be a very good sign as I do not have an Ekans yet and if this Nest Ball that I found works I can still save my Quick Ball for the one Pokemon I am really after without wasting a second encounter with such an uncommon Pokemon here. Still to be on the safe side Vör I want you to stand guard just in case this battle does not work. Ekans can be quite feisty and if the worst does occur I need you to stand guard and take a hit just in case. I do hope the worst does not come to pass though." He said as Vör stood in position and Marchbaby grabbed his Nest Ball. Looking right at the snake as the rain continued to pour he began speaking to the serpent hoping to convince it to join his team.
" Ekans I know you are not normally a fan of people and that most would fear you without giving you a chance to be friendly. I on the other hand being a dragon apprentice am more than willing to give you a shot. If you come with me I can help you make some friends and help you reach you full potential. I found this Nest Ball that I think will be perfect for you if you do decide to join me." He said as he got ready to throw the ball. He had never used a Nest Ball before but he hoped it would live up to its name due to the Ekans being low leveled. He then tossed the ball hoping for luck to be on his side praying that the snake would not get a chance to strike at him if it failed.
OOC: Sending out Vör but tossing March's Nest Ball instead of attacking. Vör is still holding her Lucky Egg. Updating the ball myself.

The storm that had drawn the wild snake Pokemon out of its hiding place in the trash can continued to rage down from above. bright flashes of lightning rained down from the sky, seeming rather close. The storm had done a great job at making a quick entrance in the small City of Fragrant Flowers. large puddles of water were already forming all around the alley where March and Vör stood with the storm-frightened Ekans. It clearly wasn't a big fan of storms, and most definitely wasn't a fan of rain either. It didn't seem to enjoy having its skin get all wet in the rain. The low-levelled Ekans let out another little hiss as its eyes continued to stayed locked on the trainer and his Pokemon. If the storm wasn't bad enough, it seemed as if the Ekans was going to have to defend itself from this Pokemon and her trainer as well. The Ekans knew that the rain could prove advantageous to it however, as the rain drops that hit the ground in the alleyway were loud and could allow for the Ekans to find a way to sneak attack the trainer, as he could not hear the Ekans' movements over the sound of the rain. Before Ekans could even prepare to make an attack, however, it listened to the dragon apprentice speak. As it would seem, maybe it wouldn't be forced to defend itself in this situation against the trainer and the Lucario. It would seem as if the trainer really wanted to have Ekans on the team with him. It was a new feeling to the wild Ekans, hearing March's words. Most trainers would never want a 'gross' or 'scary' Pokemon like it was on their team. Most people that would run into wild Ekans around Cherrygrove would be afraid of the snake's frightening and intimidating appearance. As the green and yellow Nest Ball found its target in the wild Poison-type, the Ekans showed no resistance to the Pokeball. It seemed to want to accept the offer Marchbaby had made. The ball landed back on the ground of the alleyway. The ball wiggled three times, before letting out a loud ting! sound, letting the trainer and his Pokemon know that the Ekans had successfully been caught. Wiggle.
Wiggle.
Wiggle. ....
Ting! March caught the wild Ekans!
Vör gained two levels and grew to level 19! Vör can learn the move Sword Dance, but she already knows four moves. Forget a move to make room for Sword Dance? After capturing the Ekans Marchbaby saw a strange trio of figures heading his way and before he could even get a word out a Lucario and Braixen ran towards him with a familiar face right behind. Without getting a chance to say a word he knew it was Oracle, Samantha, and Kevin. As they exchanged words Marchbaby could hardly believe that he had ran into Kevin here of all places and that the man had already matched his badge total in the fraction of the time. To be fair the man had a Lucario with him from the moment he started his journey while Marchbaby did not get one until much later but he was still very impressed that Kevin had caught up with him. As their meeting was interrupted by a noise down an alleyway Kevin went to look for what caused it while Marchbaby followed when a second noise intervened. If his hunch was correct a second Pokemon might just be in the alleyway and him and Kevin might be forced to fight in a tight space. Vör was more than ready to get started the moment she heard the noise and started to scan the area with her aura sight hoping to pick up on whatever was hanging out in the alley. " I can see two living things indeed. There has to be two living things in the alley here we just need to find out who or what they are. Once Kevin finds the first one we should have an easier time drawing out the other." She said as Marchbaby got ready for a close quarters battle. He knew from his experiences in the area that a few dangerous Pokemon could be lurking just around the corner or it could be something nearly harmless. Ekans did not worry him too much as Vör was immune to its venom and so long as he kept it away from his non steel type Pokemon he would not have to worry about that but other Pokemon might be far more dangerous. " Be ready Vör, I have a feeling both Kevin and us are going to get jumped at any second. This is a bad spot to work with any kind of mobility so strength is going to be our main option here." He said as Vör watched every bit of the alley with extreme detail. She was ready to battle anything with the bravery to jump out and face her. OOC: Waiting on another encounter. The dust storm began swiftly, replacing the thunderstorm that had been there just moments before. The weather change in that moment was crazy. Immediately the air began to feel more dry and began to fill with dust all around the two trainers and their Pokemon. Kevin was then greeted with a wild Spearow from the alleyway; leaving the other Pokemon from the alley for Marchbaby and his Pokemon to take care of. It caused a lot of noise, seemingly scratching at a trash can. It must've been looking for some sort of food in the trash, as it dug through all over. The lid was still closed as the Pokemon scrambled around noisily. It was easy to tell that the Pokemon had claws of some sort from the sound it made when its paws hit against the side of the can. It wasn't too small a Pokemon, as it didn't seem to have too much room to move around. The Pokemon stopped being so noisy however when it heard the two trainers and their Pokemon talking. It had taken the scavenging Pokemon by surprise, as it had not expected to find anyone else in the alleyway. The Pokemon was planning on trying to stay quiet in the trash can but the loud squawk! from the Spearow that flew in front of Kevin scared the Pokemon so much that it jumped out, the lid popping right off and rolling into the ditch following at the side of the alley. The Pokemon turned to Marchbaby and his Pokemon. The Meowth looked around at the Pokemon and the trainer for a moment, before his eyes made contact with a round object. The Meowth's eyes locked on with the Lucky Egg. It was carried by the Lucario, a very shiny egg. And the sneaky, treasure-loving cat Pokemon wanted it. "Meowth!" The Meowth let out a small cry as it charged towards Vör, entirely ignoring the dust storm developing around it. It wanted the treasure, and it wasn't going to stop until it had it. A wild Meowth (level 8) appears from out of a trash can, and wants your treasure! What will Marchbaby and his Pokemon do?

After seeing Kevin encounter a Spearow Marchbaby was not expecting his luck to be much better and when he heard a scratching noise from a nearby trash can he figured the Pokemon closer to him would have claws. It was not the Pokemon he was hoping for but rather a Meowth that appeared after hearing the Spearow squawk and Marchbaby was not sure how he should feel as Meowth were not a very rare Pokemon but he did not own one yet. As Meowth looked over at Marchbaby he felt the cat was up to something and in no time at all the cat had set its eyes on Vör's Lucky Egg that Marchbaby treasured.
" This Meowth certainly knows a rare item when it sees one but I am not going to just let it waltz off with your egg Vör. This feline needs to learn a few things about its natural enemy the canine of which my dear you happen to be. Do me a favor and battle this Meowth so it can learn why messing with a canine like yourself is a horrible idea." He said as Vör stepped forward ready to strike the cat down with one paw while grasping her Lucky Egg with the other. Even she treasured it as it increased her power slightly no matter which foe she faced and it had proved to be a very useful in an early area like this.
" So my little feline friend, you thought you could do a quick snatch and grab did you? I hate to break it to you but I am not a newbie like a lot of other Pokemon you might have gotten lucky with. It a tough battle was part of your wish however that is about to be granted. You could try and run but even then it will be of no use as a young one like yourself could never out run me."[/color] As she approached the young Meowth her free paw began to glow in a bright blue color as she prepared an Aura Sphere to bring about a quick end to the battle. As she took aim she looked behind her waiting for Marchbaby to order the attack which he did not a second later.
" Open fire with your Aura Sphere my dear, hold nothing back as you put that Meowth in its place. Whatever you do make sure it goes down in one hit so it does not suffer too much." As soon as he finished speaking she fired the blue sphere at Meowth hoping it would not find a way to dodge it.
OOC: Vör uses Aura Sphere on Meowth.

The feline had deftly scampered across the distance in to time flat but Vör was wise to its intentions. Meowth had to watch as its prize was held aloft just out of its reach by the taller pokémon and then poked fun at. The alley cat skid to a stop and pivoted right round to glare a pout back at the blue jackal. The big eyes weren't about to win Vör or March over though, the lucario continuing to mention just how outclassed the wild pokémon was. Meowth hissed its denial and buckled down for a fight. It looked fearsome enough, likely one tough cat most wouldn't want to meddle with in the dark of the night. With the dust beginning to whip about it was almost a similar effect, though the sandy debris did well to better camouflage the tan fur. None of that would be any good against the aura sensing pokémon though. The sandstorm wasn't nearly thick enough in the alleyway to hinder her sight of the feline; unfortunately for the meowth. Vör's opponent was busy squinting through the flying sand and flexing its spindly claws while she was building up power and locking on. With a quick thrust of her palms she unleashed her collected force energy and sent it barreling through the air toward the unprepared pokémon. To no one's surprise it was a bit of overkill. Not just effective against the feline's general type, but powered much beyond what was necessary for the alley cat. The poor thing was thrown down the alley and lost to the distant haze of the building sandstorm. Vör grew to LV 22 thanks to the Lucky Egg!

As Vör defeated the Meowth with almost no effort whatsoever Marchbaby was quite eager to try and find another Pokemon to battle when he saw Kevin had encountered a Diglett. " Oh boy he got pretty lucky, Diglett are pretty rare here. If he captures that Diglett I will be super jealous." He said as he then saw Kevin send out Eiskalt the baby Sneasel which was a very brave choice for him to make. As much as he would have liked to stick around and watch he wanted to find another Pokemon he could battle to keep training Vör until she was strong enough to take on the Goldenrod gym.
" This dust storm really needs to die down soon, it is not helping things at all. It is a good thing I have so many steel types Pokemon with me or else things could get really dicey." He said as Vör started to take a liking to the awful weather. " In all honesty I am starting to like this dust storm, it makes it so few Pokemon can see us coming while my aura sight pierces through the storm seeing anything that tries to hide from us. Finding the Pokemon we want should not be too hard at all if luck is on our side." As she began to use her sight again she could see the aura of something else approaching them down a small road and Vör stood ready for whatever was heading their way.
" There is something else coming down this small road. I am ready to strike if it is not what we are after, since most of the Pokemon here are so young defeating anything else that tries to bother us is no problem but I do hope we can avoid a fight this time." As Marchbaby looked on desperately trying to avoid a dumb mistake he had made his decision. " Vör stand by like usual but do not strike yet. I do not want to take a risk and be wrong and we do not know when the Pokemon we want will finally pop out. If we knocked out the wrong one it would be a huge pain to find another one." With the standby plan in motion they waited cautiously for what would jump out next. Marchbaby still had his Quick Ball ready if luck blessed him with good fortune again.
OOC: Waiting on another encounter.

Skitty resided in a fairly clean alley way. It had some yummy food in the dumpster, a feeding bowl it typically came to for nourishment. Foods in there ranged from special cookies sold only during specific holidays like festive cakes, candy canes, strange cookies, etc. Other times the Pokemon would lap up delish hot cider or egg nog. The ultimate favorite food was the decadent and rare Slowpoke tail, a product that was very controversial for the region due to its inhumane practice and cause of the endangerment of the Slowpoke species.
As the little cat trotted down the alley, it saw a trainer. Typically, the cat would hide from suspicious trainers, but it was feeling very feisty today. The Pokemon decided to lightly jog up to the figure located a bit down the road, hissing in a way to ensure the foe would understand the circumstances of the altercation. Perhaps the trainer would drop some delicious treats that it could snag up and run away with! A wild Skitty (level 10) is wanting to battle! zwws5Jz31-421-42

The next Pokemon to appear was a rare Pokemon like Marchbaby had hoped but unfortunately it was not one that he was after. Even if this encounter was not quite the one he was after he had every intention of taking full advantage of the situation to train Vör and get her one step closer to being ready to face the next gym leader. " Well this is a bit disappointing but at the same time things could be worse. Seeing as how that Lucky Egg of yours allows you to gain experience or levels regardless of the level gap it will come in handy here." He said as Vör cracked her knuckles ready for another battle.
She had been getting in a lot of training lately and this SKitty would make another fantastic sparring partner as she not only had the type advantage but the level advantage as well. " I admit I am not a huge fan of battling such a cute younger Pokemon but in this case I do not have much of a choice without wasting this encounter in its entirety. I can at least make this quick so it does not have to suffer too much." She said as she prepared an Aura Sphere and waited for Marchbaby to give her the order to attack. After a few seconds of thinking things over Marchbaby finally ordered the attack.
" I feel bad for this poor SKitty as well but by jumping out it was asking for some trouble, thankfully we will be teaching it a good lesson so it does not make the same mistake against a more heartless trainer. Vör go ahead and use Aura Sphere ans make sure the poor kitten goes down in a single strike." As she acknowledged her orders she fired the small blue sphere at Skitty aiming center mass to minimize the suffering it would go through if the attack hit its mark. " I sure hope this poor SKitty does not suffer too much but my attack should easily get the job done." As they waited for the attack to reach its target Vör could hardly wait for the whole ordeal to be over as she still felt bad about using such extreme force against the younger Skitty.
Even Marchbaby had to cover his eyes as the attack got close as he could hardly bare the thought of using so much force against the kitten.
OOC: Vör is sent out and uses Aura Sphere.

Skitty wasn't deterred by all the talk of how outclassed it was. If anything that made it even more determined to show the trainer a thing or two. Fur bristled its hissing intensified, brow furrowed and claws bared the little feline stuck its tail high up in the air as it bowed its head down and prepared for a pounce. Even in the face of the growing aura sphere the little cat didn't falter; though it should have run. Definitely should have run. Being that the two attackers shielded their eyes from the unmistakable trouncing they unleashed upon the wild pokémon, and the meddlesome sandstorm still whipping around, it was hard to say exactly all the details of Vör's attack. The force went flying and so did the pink feline. With a tiny squeak it was thrown down the alleyway and crashed into an arrangement of bins from which it didn't emerge. No doubt knocked flat out cold the moment Vör's mighty attack bumped its nose. Vör grew to LV 23 thanks to the Lucky Egg!
