Disturbing the temporary peace of the group, a Pineco fell from the sky, woken up by the snoring Farfetch'd. Penelope was taken by surprise by the sudden attack, but then the surprised emotion faded as quickly as it came. Seeing that it was another Pineco, she turned her head quickly and thought about which Pokemon to send to fight it. However, they're all a little too strong in her opinion.
Just as the Pineco was getting impatient, a little Deerling hopped from out of the woods to defend them. Penelope was confused, since she don't know this Pokemon personally or academically. The little normal Pokemon leaped forward and turned around, kicking the Pineco with its two hind hooves.
OOC: Deerling used Double Kick
I have no memory if I introduced Deerling to my character so I guess this post would be the one.

Thick, dark clouds loomed over the vast stretches of the Pine Gap. As the winds whipped up and howled through the trees’ canopy, their long branches would sway and jump in erratic patterns. A loud boom, accompanied by a large flash of light that illuminated the heavens above, would bring in the torrential rains. The downpour swept across the vast forest, easily drenching the land below it within minutes of its arrival. The bright blue bagworm clung to the various bits of pine needles and debris it had easily coated its body with as it plopped atop a pile of broken branches and discarded leaves, all of which had turned a mottled discolored brown tinge after remaining on the forest floor for so long. It could care less what brought the girl into its forest, or how heavily the odds were stacked against it. The bagworm only saw that the young teenager had wandered too close to its home and managed to disturb its perfect slumber. The Pineco’s bright red eyes narrowed down critically on the black haired picnicker as it snorted, a soft and barely audible tune. They would easily pay for the trouble they had caused the now angered bug! Though, a furry brown mammalian Pokemon donning a bright red Santa hat crawled out from the thick pine tree forest and jumped easily into the fray. It spun around, slamming its hooves against the blue bagworm, and knocked the Pineco backwards. The bagworm leaped up and shook its head. Although stars seemed to spin above as the pain radiated inside of its skull, the Pineco would not be spared so easily. As soon as the hooves had landed, another assault of the Deerling’s hooves would slam against the small bug, knocking it through a thick pile of leaves to bounce against a large rock. It roared, having enough of the girl and her Pokemon’s charade. The Pineco leaped out with a loud battle cry as it rolled over to them, before leaping up into the air and landing dramatically upon the Red Nosed Deerling’s back. It bit down, sinking its short fangs into the cervine’s back. It tried to dig for any berries that the Deerling was hiding, though in its haste to bite down it would find none. Penelope sighed as she noticed the winds picking up, signaling that a storm was coming. She hurriedly put on her jacket before the rain poured down. She also returned some of her Pokemon, except the Azumarill, who would enjoy the rain. Then, she shifted her attention toward the battle.
The young buck, although small, and looking unusual with a Santa hat in this weather, was quite a strong one. It was able to kick the Pineco twice and knocked it backward, shaking the leaves on the forest floor. The angry bug got up and tried to bite the Deerling, but it withstood the attacks like it was nothing.
Seeing that the opponent was an energetic and feisty one, she grabbed a special Pokeball from her bag, and tossed it toward the bug, hoping to capture it.

⭐ ~ ✨ ✨ ~ ⭐ The bug had tried to bite down on the deerling and sink its teeth into body of the red nosed cervine. However, no matter how hard it tried to bite down, it could feel that the skin of the Deerling was just too tough for it to seem to penetrate. The ‘wild’ deer bucked and reared, kicking its back legs into the air, then its front legs, in a repeated motion. It would seem to continue this bucking and rearing show until it finally managed to knock the bagworm Pokemon free from its body and sent the small blue pinecone shaped Pokemon flying through the air, to land skittering across the ground. That wouldn’t dissuade the Pokemon from standing up for its habitat. The Pineco raised itself up, shaking its head as it glanced around for a second, shaking its head and regaining its collective. A forest littered with broken branches and discarded leaves strewn all over the place greeted the bug Pokemon’s immediately eyesight. It turned this way and that in its stupor, trying to remember what it was doing, until it dawned on it. Like a lightbulb clicking on, as soon as the Pineco’s eyes landed upon the tough hide of the large cervine, it would jump up and rush forward with a loud battlecry. “Leave this place!”And get sucked up inside of a bright beam of light. The Red beam of light had shot out of a Nest Ball whose top dome was painted in a swirling pattern of bright emerald green and lighter olive green. The bug would fight. Oh, would it ever fight! The Nest Ball fell amongst a bed of moss and pine straw and rocked back and forth, rolling about on the ground as the Pokemon inside fought to reclaim its freedom. However, after several minutes that might have felt like hours, a resounding ding would eventually announce a successful capture. It may have fought for freedom, but freedom would only be a dream for the Pineco now… SUCCESS!!
Red Nosed Deerling gained 0 levels. Seems he was too high level to learn anything from this. Deerling gains +1 Happiness. Deerling increased to +1 Happiness! Please fill out form: Pineco Name: [choose] Gender: [choose] Level: 8 OT: Penelope Claire Reed Moves: Tackle, Protect, Self-Destruct Ability: Sturdy Nature/Personality: [choose]
-1 Nest Ball from inventory
Mod Note: Pineco doesn't learn Bug Bite until Level 9. I made a mod error in previous post in modding Pineco using a move it doesn't technically know. HP should have been awarded back to Deerling, but catch was successful anyways...so...
