Keith had reached Cherrygrove and all, and that was fine and dandy, but he didn't feel like his Pokemon were sufficiently prepared at all. In fact, his newly-caught Venonant would probably be unable to keep up with the Pokemon on the next route - or, god forbid, a trainer who was trying to pick a fight. As such, Keith instead found himself strolling back onto a familiar route, Pokemon in hand. In theory, it would be pretty easy - just sound out Bell and clean up with Ashton. What could go wrong, right?
Keith preemptively released his Venonat from its Pokeball. It wasn't really a confident thing, clinging to Keith the moment it came out, but hopefully that wouldn't be too bad of an issue to work out. After all, Venonat does need to enter a battle in order to get any training, and it would hopefully build confidence as well. "Come on, Bell! You've got this! I won't make you do anything that you can't handle. Remember, you've got Ashton backing you up!" He promptly encouraged, and at his egging on, Bell would gently crawl off of his leg and cautiously walk forward, scanning the area. Keith would give a hum. Hopefully, nothing too strong against Bell would roll up...

With the quiet hum setting the mood Bell was left to search through the fading tall grasses for any signs of activity. It was a bit hard to tell though, as the light patter of rain drops falling across the greenery made all sorts of movements and helped further mask the steps of anything approaching. The bug shivered mildly. The rain was chilly at this time of year. Normally the cold didn't bother her too much but as each drop soaked into her fur it would become harder and harder to resist the elements. Luckily, though, it wasn't long before the obvious signs of a wild pokémon popped into her radar. Her compound eyes locked in on the swishing tan ears bobbing through the grass in a chaotic pattern. It was as if something was more stumbling around than having a nice stroll or frantic run through the rain. Sure enough that was the case. Soon the friendly face of a Spinda would break through the vegetation. The little bear stopped to stare at the trainer and odd bug. Though, in Spinda's case stop didn't mean still. As it 'stood' its body was still shifting back and forth in some odd teetering dance. A Spinda (LV 5) appeared! Fight? Shiny Check: eyaup5WT1-421-42
