Miracle Cycle The World is a Cycling Path!
Allows for faster traveling than walking or running
Want to feel the breeze through your hair as you pedal past bipeds clad in your Lycra shorts? Well... Miracle Cycle is a newly opened branch of Kanto's popular cycling store. A Bicycle is on sale for a lofty price but the owner of the store, Mr Armstrong, is seeking trainers to promote his wares! He is offering takers a temporary free riding experience in exchange for the help.
If you do a great job of advertising, maybe he'll let you keep it!
The Bicycle allows you to progress quicker through the roleplay, receiving top priority on the Mod List! And you can make a mod request if you've been waiting for 3 days.
In Bicycle Mode mod replies will stripped to their bare bone mechanics in favor of speed. HOWEVER, you are expected to still write as much as you can. The Bicycle is not an excuse for lazy posts.
To use the Bicycle simply leave an OOC note in each post that it is turned ON. It cannot be used to face NPCs or during quests, but can be used in conjunction with the Running Shoes! To give bike riding a try today simply roleplay your character purchasing the Bicycle outright below, or borrowing one from Mr Armstrong to help promote his store.
Upon hearing that a new bicycle store had opened up Marchbaby decided he should go and pay a visit as it would certainly help him get around a lot faster than he currently could. The very second he walked in however the price tag caused his jaw to hit the floor as he did not think a bicycle would cost anywhere near that much. Upon seeing an advertisement on the counter offering the bicycle on loan in exchange for advertising the store by riding it Marchbaby wasted no time in signing up. " I will gladly advertise the store, a bike like this will be a big help on my journey so this is a win, win deal." After signing the contract he was presented with Marchbaby walked out of the store with a shiny new bicycle at his disposal.
Tyler had recently been wandering around the business district of Goldenrod when he saw a new bicycle store had opened and he decided to pop in originally planning to steal one until he saw an advertisement offering to loan a bicycle in exchange for riding it around to advertise the store. He had no intentions of giving the bicycle back but as he had not risen in the ranks of Team Rocket enough yet he knew by the time the store owner figured out who he was it would be too late to do anything about it. " I would like to help you advertise your store as I see you are loaning bikes as part of your grand opening special. With how much I get around people will certainly become familiar with your store really quickly." He said as she signed a contract and then walked out of the store with a shiny new bicycle.
Kevin had recently heard that a bicycle store had opened in Goldenrod and though he had not reached the city yet he had a number of contacts in the city who knew the store owner. After making a single phone call to a friend he was able to get in contact with the owner of the store and made an arrangement for a bicycle to be sent to him to help advertise the store while also helping Kevin get around. After walking around the streets of Cherrygrove for a while a Dodrio ran down the street with a large box on it's back with the name " Miracle Cycle" written on the side. " Ah good this should be the bicycle I am loaning. That will be a big help on our journey instead of walking everywhere."
OOC: I figured I would do all three of mine in one post. I will add the bicycle to all 3 of their inventories.
Damien had a dang of a time finding the place. Big cities were just not his forte. What was meant to be a quick trip in the mid afternoon ended up being a couple hours of confusedly wandering down angled streets. He almost ended up in what the residents here knew as the maze of allies. He was almost about to give up as closing time drew nearer. His stomach was beginning to rumble with the fresh scents of evening dinner wafting out of the restaurants for the supper rushes. But there it was. Finally, he spotted the cycle shaped sign.
He made a run for it with a momentary burst of renewed energy. The ranger glanced the door for the open sign then slowed down to enter seemingly without haste. "Hello," he greeted the man walking in from the back after hearing the chime of the door. The place was empty and spotless. No doubt the poor man had been bored out of his wits waiting for customers. At the sight of Damien the man's smile nearly grew off of his face.
They had a quick conversation about the bikes. Going over the different kinds and settings, and eventually onto prices. The color went out of the lad's cheeks when he heard the cost. It didn't go unnoticed by the proprietor. And so a proposition was made, "You know, I could really use some advertising. Being a startup I don't have a lot to spend on extras like that, and I can't go around doing it myself as I need to be here in case anyone turns up. If you were willing to ride around showing off my bikes I'm sure people will catch on. I can't pay you for it, but how 'bout if your advertising is successful I just give you the bike you like best as a thanks?"
The dark, dingy alley ways had become the new home of the once innocent and naive Sharada. When she had started her journey, she never envisioned she would be neck deep in Rocket trouble. Letting out a hefty breath, smoke rolled out in waves from her pursed lips, cigarette butt crinkling up as she tossed it from her finger tips to the ground, stomping it out deftly with her boot. Her eyes glanced upward, she was barely able to catch a glimpse of the clear skies overhead between the towering buildings which surrounded her. Remaining in the shadows, she zipped up her black jacket, in attempt to disguise the all recognisable red R which sat ablaze on her chest. She let out another sigh, when something up ahead caught her eye. It looked as if a shop had newly opened, a delivery of bicycles being wheeled through the doors. This caught her attention, Sharada had always been an avid bicycle rider. She cautiously approached the entrance, eyes beginning to practically sparkle at the variety before her. Her overly obvious staring caught the attention of the owner and rather hesitantly, she agreed to his offer of advertising their brand.
Catherine was darting about all over Goldenrod City. There were things to look at and explore absolutely everywhere but this young girl was a hard one to overwhelm. One minute she was in the bushes, looking for new Pokemon, then she was bothering the poor elderly couple in the local Day Care. Both herself and her Pokemon ram raided the huge Department Store and their mischievous yet harmless antics had them kicked out of the Game Corner. Skipping her way out of the tunnel which ran beneath the city, Catherine and Atlas had found themselves in yet another crowd of shops. Eyes gleaming as they examined what was around them, Catherine was drawn in by a gentleman attempting to attract people to his new bicycle store. There was no doubt that with Catherine's sweet and innocent charms, she would snag herself a bike and do him the favour of advertising his store to boot! Win win for everyone.
"Are you sure?" Astrid said doubtfully as she looked at the bike the shop keeper eagerly showed her. "I mean, I used a bike to work when I was younger but that is many years ago, and my legs are not as good any more," she continued and gestured to her cane. The shop keeper brushed her off. "You never forget it when you first have learned it, and it is the most popular bike among the police force," he explained and smiled a fake smile. "You'll need to get around fast ma'am, and the bike can get you anywhere!" He said and Astrid looked sceptically at him, it would need for her to be able to write it too. "I will let you borrow it and check it out, no cost at all! And you just return it if you can't use it," He said cheerfully and pulled out some papers, "I just need you to fill these and you are good to go!"
Astrid left the shop with a shiny new bike for free, which she wasn't sure she couldn't use at all. She wondered if she could if she put on some extra wheels.
Justin thumbed through the brochure detailing the bike shop, contemplating its wares until his eyes honed in on the price. He didn't need glasses or contacts to assess the sheer, obscene amount of zeroes lining the page. Who in the world had that kind of money? Surely not Pokemon trainers... He could feel that hard truth resonating within his almost empty pockets. Couldn't take pictures without a fixed camera. Couldn't make money without pictures, so funds needed to be allocated to fixing his camera in Olivine first. But in the meantime.. he'd certainly get there faster if he had a bike.
After a bit of deliberation and conversation, Justin happily agreed to an advertisement plan, eager to take the sticker-laden bike through the rest of his journey and hopefully rustle up some revenue for both the shop and himself (once he had everything fixed!) So long as he could keep his Emboar off of it, that is.
This section of Goldenrod was far too busy, and far too garrish for Rhoan's taste. Even with the assistance of headwear or hair over her eyes, it still physically hurt to see all these glittery, shining buildings in the bright light of day. She'd been on a few Grunt missions in the tunnel nearby, as well as Ilex, so this was just unpleasant.
Her Joltik seemed to be having a grand time, however.
The tiny creature squeaked from the safety of her hair, tugging Rhoan's scalp in the direction of the bike shop it had seen. She knew where to go, she just didn't *want* to go. It was so busy and why would she want to go in when she could just steal it? Eh, if it's going to be plastered with advertisement stickers then she might as well go about it the correct way. Items like that were too novel, too noticeable. Better to keep a low profile.
After the quick discussion with the owner, Rhoan signed away her anonymity for a bit, agreeing to assist with the advertisement of the bike. Would she really? Absolutely not, but it was the thought that counted. And by that, his thought. It counted for her. She was the only one that would benefit. Maybe Joltik, but it liked everything.
