In the absence of the Wynaut, it wouldn’t take the other Pokemon long. Zubat fluttered down from the cave ceiling above and gathered as many berries as they could in their arms. A few Aron seemed to dart in and make off with a couple of fruit and berry pieces here and there. The Geodude which had been rolling about in the distance, grew louder as it tumbled about to the stockpile and snagged a few pieces for itself. In short, the other Pokemon would quickly sneak in, and sneak back out with several pieces of delectables that they could enjoy to themselves. A small, round Pokemon floated away from the stock pile and towards the group entirely. While other round blue Pokemon, with what appeared to be markings of an herb or branch on their backs, floated over and gathered up berries to float away with them, this Bronzor approached Astrid’s crew in mild curiosity. “Bronze….bronze...” It purred curiously as it would float around the red and black striped growlithe, then around the shaggy white furred canine companion. One after another, it seemed to inspect them curiously, muttering softly under its breath. However, this Pokemon seemed more curious than dangerous. Would it let them pass it by easily if they tried? Another Aron tried to sneak past the crew to the stockpile, where the Bronzor immediately spun around and floated towards it as fast as it could, knocking itself into the other Pokemon and sending the Aron crawling off somewhere deep into the cave. The Bronzor was apparently ensuring that Astrid and her crew didn’t dare try to approach the stockpile, while its counterparts made off with the berries. Just as quick as it crashed into the Aron, the blue spherical Pokemon would float back over to the crew curiously – floating around them, while trying to keep itself at a distance.

Astrid looked surprised as she saw all the wild pokemon which appeared and instantly took their share of the pile. She frowned, something was going on here but she couldn't tell if it was good or bad, nor if she should intervene or just let the pokemon take what they could carry. The Wynaut had certainly been good at keeping them all away from its stash, and they seemed like they were eager to get their hands on it. How had the wynaut gotten all this collected, and why?
Themis was thinking the same thing with Hugo standing and fidgeting beside her. "Should we just let them take it all?" Hugo whispered to Themis who gave a bit of a shrug. "We have no clue of what is going on here, but now is a chance," she answered quietly before turning to the bronzor with a smile. "Excuse me, can you tell me about the wynaut who was protecting this pile? How did it got it and why are you all sharing it now?" Themis called up the the floating mirror pokemon, sounding politely curious. Hopefully it could help spread som light over the situation. Had the wynaut just collected it over long time and it was wrong the other pokemon was taking it, Themis just had to get Astrid to replace it since it was their fault it was loosing it. She eyed the pile and what the other pokemon took away as she tried to spot if there was anything else than berries and such carried away, since there might be some personal things in between there would be hard to replace.
Benny walked cheerfully up to the geodude and his mouth fell open when it ignored him completely and rushed off towards the others. It took a few heartbeats to collect himself. "Hey, HEY?" He called after the geodude and then turned to Kjeld. "It ignored me, it can't do that!" Benny exclaimed and Kjeld nodded. "Yes, yes, that was not a nice thing to do," the totodile agreed solemnly. "Then say something to it!" Benny demanded and Kjeld looked like a deerling caught in a Flash. "Wha..? Me? But... I'm not very good at talking, perhaps we should just let it go?" He suggested while fidgeting with his hands. Benny groaned and rolled his eyes. "We can't do that, we have a mission. Let me handle it, come one!" The fomantis said and hurried after the geodude who was now on its way back with what it had collected. Kjeld scrambled after him. "Hey hey hey, have time to answer a question?" Benny said as he deliberatedly stepped in the way of the geodude so it would have to run him over to get past him, or stop and talk. "Who was the wynaut?" Benny asked curiously with Benny standing behind him and looking at the ground.

The round and rocky Geodude rolled about on the cave floor. Although the hardy Pokemon might appear to be rolling in different directions so oddly that it wasn't heading in any particular path, the boulder-like Pokemon would tumble along it's own makeshift path. While blue and purple winged bats fluttered down from the cave's ceiling to snag up the more tender berries from the pile, the rocky Pokemon focused on just making it out with his Chesto berries. the pink and green plant-like Pokemon with scythes for hands bothered the Geodude, causing it to spin around and beat its two thick hands into the ground below him. "I not help!" Geodude balled its hand into a fist and began to rhythmically pound away at the ground in a sort of rage. With the bits of dirt that the boulder Pokemon would displace, he used it to create a pile in front of him as though he were trying to build a barrier. "pink guy not here. Berries for free. I keep berries. You leave!" The Geodude warned Benny and the small, blue water crocodile with a hiss. Then, the Geodude would turn back around to try to roll off again. Would it actually attack if they tried to, though? This seemed very likely. Something moved underneath the ground where Geodude had been throwing its tantrum. The dirt and ground shook back and forth, and parts of the cave floor seemed to rise and lift itself up entirely. Slowly, a yellow rattle poked out from the ground through a small hole that had been created behind the mound. The blue and yellow snake-like insectoid Pokemon began to shake its head back and forth. Dunsparce flapped its wings in a buzzing tempo to remove the dirt off of its wings. Then, the Pokemon would lift itself up to hover in the air, before landing on the dirt pile and hissing at Benny and Kjeld in warning. It was clear that the Dunsparce was blaming them for the Geodude's tantrum - and if they weren't careful, this Pokemon was ready to attack. A Wild Dunsparce [Level 13] has appeared!

"Why not?" Benny asked indignant when the geodude said it didn't want to help. "Yes yes, you say so, but what can you tell me about the pink guy?" Benny continued to try to get an answer but got nothing else than a back turned towards him. Kjeld looked nervously at the angry rock type and glanced worried at Benny as he might wanted to go after it. "Let it go, it said it didn't want to help and there are plenty other pokemon we can ask instead," Kjeld argued while pulling in the fomantis arm to keep him from going after the retreating geodude. Benny grumpled but as the dirt began to move below their feet the geodude was completely forgotten and Benny pushed Kjeld backwards so they both got out of the way.
Themis twitched her ears annoyed when the bronzor didn't answer her questions, she looked closer at it and wondered if it could even talk at all. A sound behind her made both she and Hugo look back. Themis glanced back and forth trying to decide what to do, and then turned to Hugo. "Will you go help them? It doesn't look like it wants to talk," she warned and Hugo shot a glance towards Astrid to be sure she was safe, and then nodded as he hurried off. Themis turned back to the bronzor. "Can you understand what I'm saying?" She asked it politely.
"Go talk with this then," Benny suggested and pushed the reluctant Kjeld in front. "But but but... I'm not good at talking," the totodile stammered as he fought against getting too close to the dunsparce. "Then it will be good with some training, wouldn't it?" Benny grinned as he continued to push Kjeld forward. The totodile faced the chubby snake and opened and closed his mouth a couple of times. Then Hugo rushed past them and attempted to slam his head down unto the snake.

The strange mirror Pokemon reflected on the words of the trainer's Pokemon. In truth, it wasn't as though this Bronzor hadn't run into trainers and their Pokemon in the past. Some would carefully avoid the Bronzor altogether, which was what the strange circular blue Pokemon preferred the most. Then, there were those that might challenge and battle the duel steel psychic type Pokemon. It nodded its whole body as though it were nodding its head - which pretty much encompassed its entire body - as it spun around to stare down at the red and black striped fire type dog. "For many moons, Bronzor have maintained the peace and tranquility in this part of the cave. Pokemon young and old revered us - we managed the food storages throughout the entire cave to ensure that none went hungry..." An so, the very verbose Bronzor would go on and on about its entire legacy. It explained how the wild Pokemon were truly wild but a starving and barely surviving species. Bronzor explained the legacy of the first Great Bronzong that brought peace and order to all the wild Pokemon of the Dark Cave. It described how the Bronzong, with the help of the wild Pokemon and other patrol Bronzor, started to organize and divide hunting teams among the different types of wild Pokemon. How they formed watchmen, and how they eventually worked to care for the old and the sick wild Pokemon, so none would have to endure extreme suffering. "But some Pokemon did not appreciate Bronzor. Some wanted the food all to themselves."Meanwhile, the yellow and blue land snake faced off with the little blue crocodile with red spikes, and his small pink friend with green grassy scythes for arms. As Kjeld stretched open his mouth in a weak attempt to start up a conversation, the Dunsparce would react in a sort of mimicry. It stretched its jaws out as far and wide as possible, and released an ear-wrenching screech that pierced the airwaves and threatened to burst the eardrums of anyone nearby. The Screech would fall the heaviest on the heavily furred white Furfrou, though, as Hugo jumped into action for his teammates. "Watch it, you idiots!" The yellow land snake hissed, shaking and rattling its tail threateningly. Hugo came crashing full force into the Dunsparce's side. The long snake Pokemon twisted and writhed as the Furfrou's headbutt sent it rolling and tumbling off of the top of the dirt mound. As soon as it righted itself, the Dunsparce would lift itself back into the air to hover over and began attacking Furfrou with it's tail in a full on rage. Now it was angry and very upset. "You're disturbing MY peace! BE GONE!" It commanded Hugo, Kjeld, and the others. Themis looked surprised when the bronzor through itself out into a long story about the life in the cave, she glanced at the other wild pokemon but then settled down to hear it out. If it was meant as a distraction for her, so its friends could continue snatching the berries she was alright with that. In this situation she didn't need to keep the 'crime scene' as it was, just to learn about the wynaut and figure out what was going on. If the bronzor didn't continue after ending with the cliffhanger that not all wanted to work together, she would ask. "Was the Wynaut one of them? And if so, how did you handle that?" Themis was curious, with this many wild pokemon it would be strange if they couldn't handle a single wynaut, although of course Astrid had been fast and they hadn't seen its abilities in battle.
If Hugo had been in doubt of his way of handling the dunsparce had been the right one, he got confirmed the moment he jumped into battle and saved Kjeld from the worst of the screaming. His ears was ringing as he leaped dazzled forward and shoved the dunsparce away with its head. To his chagrin it hadn't been enough to surprise it and retaliated with an attack of its own right away. "I will! As soon as you back off!" Hugo growled in return and scoped a pawfull dirt from the floor and flung it at the snake. He then attempted to shove it away with another headbutt. "Calm down and we will retreat!" He commanded.
"That's the spirit! Show it that it can't pull us around by the nose!" Benny cheered Hugo on Eagerly, while Kjeld looked uncomfortable. "But.. you don't have a nose?" The totodile asked confused and Benny gave him a light push. "It's just a saying! Be quiet if you don't have anything good to ad," the fomantis scolded and then turned back to look cheerful at the battle.

The blue spherical dual steel and psychic type Pokemon was pleased to see that the furry red canine wanted to hear more about the troubles that were affecting the colony of wild Pokemon in the Dark Cave. True, you wouldn’t consider a single Wyanut to be a challenge in ordinary situations. However, the Bronzor was fully convinced that this was no ordinary situation. “Strange little pink Pokemon appeared one day, and started making demands. Wyanut needed protection. Wyanut needed guards.” The Bronzor explained. It cast its glance throughout the interior of the cave, noting the other Bronzor who all came and gathered up the berries. Although, in the distance, several of them were already distributing the berries among the wild Pokemon of the cave. Small Zubats and young Geodude rolled up in a gathering far off in the distance, grateful for their meals. The sounds of the happy voices and footsteps – and in some cases, rolling – could be heard through the commotion. “Eventually, Wynaut worked against us. It started out as a simple rejection of our system – it could have more berries by foraging for itself. Soon, it convinced other Pokemon to join in the rebellion. It told them we were corrupted and kept all the best berries to ourselves. This is not so. We pass out berries indiscriminately on a first come, first served basis, unless there is a greater need.” Bronzor explained the uprising. How several of the Geodude and Zubat fell under the order of the Wynaut. They promised to only give up 10% of their berries to Wynaut’s collection stash, and in turn Wyanut and its makeshift army would defend their right to collect – and eventually steal – the berries from Bronzor’s protected Pokemon. “Wynaut is only the first, but not the last, of Pokemon who want to change our ways for worst.”Dunsparce slapped its tail on the ground in anger. Its emotions were starting to take over the yellow land snake’s sense of judgement, as it cried out in frustration. This mangy white furry canine had no business being here in their cave and disrupting the Dunsparce’s home. Where was the Wynaut at anyways, with it’s collection of food – or had they been responsible for that? It rattled its tail threateningly, as Hugo moved in and kicked up and sprayed sand in the blue-and-yellow snake’s face. It hissed and flew up into the air to hover. Then, the Dunsparce rammed into the other Pokemon, flying as fast as it could in its rage. Hugo immediately responded, rushing forth and knocking its skull into the Dunsparce’s side. It cried out in pain, as the Land Snake tumbled across the ground. The Furfrou had clobbered its thick head against not only Dunsparce’s side, but his wing! The Pokemon tried to flap its left wing along with its right, and rose up into the air for a brief second, before landing again. Hugo hadn’t damaged the wing too badly, but it seemed to really hurt the Dunsparce. ”My WING!” It hissed out in a loud cry as it tried to beat the wing as if to shake the pain away. “Bad Pokemon. BAD DOG. You hurt my wing!” The yellow and blue snake raged forward, blinded by it’s anger. As the Normal Type Pokemon rushed across the ground in a heated slither, it would completely miss it’s opponent. It was so enraged and blinded by its emotions, that the Dunsparce only stopped as it ran into the huge pile up upturned sand and ground. It caused the Dunsparce to pause briefly, before slowly turning around – perhaps, calming down just a bit? “You must leave this place now! Or else, I will not let you go freely.” It hissed at the Furfrou and all of Hugo’s companions. Themis listened closely to the bronzor's explanations, they were clearly all from one point of view and while the bronzor surely believed every word to be the absolute truth! Themis guessed the story from the wynaut was quite different and she wondered how it would explain itself. It sounded like the wynaut wasn't welcome here, and if they learned the bronzor perhaps were acting like a dictator they would have to discuss if they wanted to go back and see if some pokemon needed their help. Themis didn't like how the bronzor mentioned how others went against its idea of a perfect society, it hinted others were not pleased with the arrangements. At the moment though there was little she could do about it, she would prefer to get out and talk with the wynaut and learn its side of the story and then take it from there. The investigations here was done for now as there was little more to do and she wasn't interested in hearing all of bronzor's lifestory. She thanked it for its help and bit it farewell before she turned to try gather the rest of the group.
The battle with the weird snake went well, even though Hugo didn't seem to be able to catch it off guard. Something felt wrong to him though, it had been attacking Benny and Kjeld, right? He felt secure he could beat it if needed but it hadn't really been his goal as he just had wanted it to back down and let them go without any problems, but now it was a full out battle and he really didn't know how to get out of it again. It didn't help that Benny kept encouraging him and throwing half insults at the dunsparce, which probably only angered the snake even more.
Hugo huffed when the dunsparce raged over it had hurt its wing. "Suck it up," he mumbled under his breath, it was a battle and that was what you could expect. Beside, Hugo wouldn't really call it a wing those things it had on its sides. It was hard to tell if it was from the injured wing, or if the dunsparce had heard what Hugo had said, but it certainly was furious as it rushed at him, only to run past and straight into a pile of dirt. Benny and Kjeld giggled behind Hugo who kept a close eye on his opponent. The furfrou's eyes widened when the dunsparce threatened them to leave, that was the chance he had been hoping for! "Thank you, this was what I have hoped. We will leave calmly now," Hugo informed the dunsparce with a court nod and both Benny and Kjeld stared at him in shock. "But, but but why? You were kicking its butt, you would have won this!"[/i] Benny asked in a loud whisper. Hugo backed a few steps and pushed the two with him towards Astrid. Kjeld eagerly hurried on but Benny fought against it. "I only tried to get it off your backs, now get moving before we get into more trouble!" Hugo growled and Benny sauntered after Kjeld. Hugo stayed back and was ready should the dunsparce not let them walk away.
Themis was waiting halfway and wouldn't join Astrid before she had gotten the rear with her. Ove came flying over and landed beside her. "What now?" He asked curious. "Benny and Kjeld had gotten themselves into some mess with that dunsparce over there but I think it has solved itself, the bronzor mostly wants to talk about its vision of life which it claims wynaut was destroying and causing an uproar again," Themis explained and Ove looked surprised at her with a "are you kidding me?" look. "Yeah... I'd like if we could go back so we can talk with the wynaut and figure out if something serious are happening here," Themis added. "Do you think Astrid agrees we have learned enough to let us leave?" Ove said teasingly before he returned to Astrid and tried to figure out how to let her know they'd like to leave. Themis was left shaking her head smilingly, he was alrright.

The team of trainees were already traipsing down the tunnel before Dunsparce could even think about retracting its generosity. Inching forward, it might have considered it. Dunsparce spat at where they'd been standing instead; it passed its approach off as a lunge, a parting effort to pass as threatening. "And sss-tay out!" Astrid's team fled the battle! (1/2 consecutive escapes.) Behind, the belly of Dark Cave began to lie low again, the berry stores reduced to crumbs and detached stems. The last of Amanda's light left with the party, leaving the intermittent glint reflected off a Bronzor's ruddy surface; the chirps, rumbles, and footsteps of Pokemon, scattered and aimless. The Bronzor spoke from its perspective, but there was one objective point about its story: there was no sense of community among the Dark Cave denizens, if according to it, there ever was. Pokemon returned to their own devices, driven by instinct. The one species divined for structure remained floating in silence. Meanwhile, the slope leading back through the Dark Cave returned to its straightforward orientation, enclosed by cave walls creating a linear path back to the surface. It was near the pond where another path could just be spotted opposite the green water. A gap in the wall, just obscured behind stalagmites, cave-water lapping at the entrance, and undoubtedly making for a tight fit; a loose estimate could place it at around two-feet tall and only just wider. The only other significant note about this hole was how it reeked with the same smell as the team's new little pink friend. There was always the rest of the cave past the near-abandoned clearing the team had just exited if still bit by the spelunking bug. That, or they could resurface. Enter the Wynaut burrow, or keep moving?

As the dunsparce let them go without further troubles, or perhaps they just got out of there fast enough for it to react. Hugo kept glancing back as he trotted after the two others, but the dunsparce didn't do anything else than shout them a last warning. They gathered around Astrid easily and Themis pointedly walked towards the tunnel they had arrived through, and turned to look back at the old woman. "What? Do you want to leave already?" Astrid said surprised, they had just gotten here. The pokemon looked expectantly at her as she looked from one to another. "You think you have learned to work together?" She asked them and they glanced at each other, not really certain of that but they agreed they'd prefer to get out of this cave now. Astrid looked at them and shrugged. "Golderod wasn't build in one day, perhaps it is enough for today," She decided and followed her pokemon through the tunnels.
Both Hugo and Themis stopped when they reached the hole and they exchanged glances. "Doesn't it smell a lot like.." Hugo began and Themis nodded a confirmation and crouched to peek through the gap. It was pitch black as everything in this cave and revealed nothing of interest, no other smells. Themis stood up and turned to the others who looked curious at her, she shook her head. "I guess it has just been its living place, we'll get more information about it asking it ourselves rather and snooping round in there," the growlithe said and looked thoughtful at the others, "besides, only a few of us would be able to enter and I don't think we should split up now." The others agreed and Astrid followed while wishing she could understand what was happening. She was glad to see her pokemon at least worked together and listened.
They made it to the outside without any further hindrances and hurried back to Violet City and its pokemon center to talk with the wynaut and get its side of the story. They didn't get much out of it, as it refused to talk with them and and it seemed relieved when Astrid decided to find it another trainer in the end.
