The kid was sick. Like, really sick. Mikasi couldn't imagine ever wearing the bug maybe if it was a cooler looking pokemon...maybe? Mikasi sure wouldn't just give away a pokemon. The kid had no guarantee Mikasi would ever bring back any of the evolved species to show off. Though, if there was profit in it then Mikasi imagined it wasn't a bad idea. However his studies about pokemon had primarily been fighting or training, he didn't know the first thing about breeding.
For that matter the bug didn't appear all that strong. Oh well, it was free and was bound to have its uses. "Sure Kent. Sounds like a great idea. I appreciate it." He'd need to figure out how breeding work but it could be good for some cash also in the future and when he joined team Rocket the more skills the more they would probably appreciate him. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of him. He'll enjoy the trip I'll be making."
It sucked the kid was so ill. Mikasi wasn't totally heartless as much as driven to a goal. "So, when you start feeling better, maybe next time I stop around you could join me for a bit of time hunting pokemon." It wouldn't ever come to pass Mikasi guessed, but maybe it would give the kid a bit of hope.
Kent was pale as he sat in a chair covered in a blanket which had been tucked around him. He looked hopefully at Mikasi as he pleaded his case and to the other boy's good heart. Yes, he had no guarantee and yes it might never be fulfilled but he was desperate, he had no other choice! He had always been told to live life at fullest and follow his dreams but it was a bit hard when you were stuck at home all day and often was too tired to move from your bed! Yes, his parents had been kind and they had done all they could to help him explore and experience the world, taking him on many trips to awesome places in the region, and he was grateful for that, but there was only so much they could do. None of them were pokemon trainers and he had seen so many pictures about the colorful vivillons, and he wished more than anything else in this world, to get to see at least some of them for real before.. before he went on. He had even gotten a scatterbug from a good friend, but he had no way of training it himself.
"Thank you!" Kent said relieved and then suffered a coughing fit which made tears run down his cheeks. He smiled apologetically to Mikasi as his father rushed out and fussed about him for a bit. Kent glanced at his father who avoided his eyes when Mikasi suggested they could go out together another time. "That sounds fun, I'd *cough* love that, but I also *cough* hope you can show me some different vivillons," Kent then said eagerly and would hand over Skitter's pokeball. He really hoped Mikasi would be true to his words and return.
