PARTY: | OOC: 671 Words; 400 Added to Egg! | Character: Mishu
When the boat arrived at the port, Mishu filed in line with the other passengers to descend into the Johto region. She worked her way from the port to New Bark Town, where she was informed by villagers and other trainers that she could easily pick up a starter Pokemon for the region. The young thirty-year-old aspiring biologist already had her starter in mind – a skittish and often shy Nickit that she wanted to work closely with so that she could eventually gain its trust. However, it seemed as though it was customary to swing by the Professor’s Laboratory to grab supplies and a starter Pokemon, which most novice trainers would make their partner Pokemon during most of their journeys. But, doesn’t that make them rather easy to beat? Mishu had to wonder, as she pulled open the door to the facility and walked over to the Professor.
She exchanged tails of her travels to the region and her ambition to both become the best Dark Type trainer there was and eventually settle into the role of a dark type biologist. Studying Pokemon and field research so that she could understand them better, appealed to the young girl more. The Professor humored about having her work in his lab if she ever acquired the experience and there was ever an opening, and she thanked him politely as she accepted the starter supplies and the Squirtle to begin her journey. Before she left the town, Mishu sent the new starter Pokemon to her box so that she could focus on her newfound Pokemon friends that would comprise her team – an eventual army of Dark Type Pokemon.
Mishu walked down Route 29 with her hands clasped gently behind her head. The thick curls of dark blue hair fell and swirled around her face, framing it beautifully so as she wandered down the route. When Mishu noticed the grass getting taller and thicker, to the point that the grass blades could tickle the tops of her knees, she pulled out the Pokeball to her newfound companion and released the cute red fox Pokemon with it’s black ears, black tipped tail shaped much like a duster, and black feet. The young, skittish fox froze up as its fur stood on ends and it began to growl at her. The Pokemon, still scared and untrusting, began to back away and shook its head cautiously. Where was it? Where did she take it? What was this place? Where was home?
Thick, intricate Mammatus clouds decorated the skies above. Bands of bright rays of sunlight pushed and prodded through their depths, escaping in patches. The slight gentle breeze seemed to stir the shadows that played on the ground below. Mishu leaned down and offered out one hand for the wild Fox. “It’s ok.” She reassured the Pokemon. “You don’t have to trust me right away, little one. You’ve been wild for so long, I don’t blame you for not wanting to be domesticated so easily.” She spoke in a soft voice, almost cooing to the small fox Pokemon. Nickit sniffed the air near her, hesitantly approaching her but staying just out of the girl’s reach. Still, in order to make her Pokemon stronger Mishu needed to let it out to stretch its legs and play with the other Pokemon around the area.
I may find it hard to find other dark types… She hummed to herself. But I can get to know the wild Pokemon around the area more in time. She would definitely need more than just Nickit when it came time to face the first GYM Leader. At least, Mishu presumed as much, and assumed that the GYM Leader may have a team of Pokemon she may need to face first. I can worry about learning more about the people later. What dark type Pokemon are native to this region? There’s Umbreon, of course. Carvanha – oh, wouldn’t that be a cool Pokemon to meet! And Houndour, which prefer hunting in packs so they rarely travel alone.

It probably would be hard to find dark types in the wild as they weren't that widespread in this area of the region. Mishu probably would need to look for other means of getting her hands of the desired type of pokemon, but wasn't that also what made it fun? In the meantime she would encounter other types which she could learn about, she wasn't going to battle against dark types only after all, and hopefully she would get a lot of excitement experiences along the way. Kotara would be the first to hear the furious screech of a pokemon at a far distance, as a human shout followed it was loud enough for Mishu to hear as well. Nono, get off! Stop it! What is wrong with you? No! Ouch! Stop it!The voice grew steadily louder as the speaker got closer, she didn't sound scared or angry really, and when the speaker got close enough Mishu would be able to hear the laughter in her voice. Soon after a woman in her twenties came walking strangely towards them, she ducked and waved her arms in an attempt to scare off a furious pidgey, who kept attacking her. "Ouch!" She exclaimed as the pidgey dived and managed to get past her arm to peck her head, "what's bothering you this much?" She asked exasperated. The woman noticed Mishu and grinned sheepishly and covered as the pidgey dived at her again but missed. "I shouldn't be so lucky you are a trainer who can help me get rid of this?" She asked Mishu hopefully and looked over her shoulder to see where the bird was now. "I don't get what has gotten into this little one, usually pidgeys just throw sand at you and then fly off," she said as she threw out her arms, then ducked again to avoid yet another attack, "if they are aggressive it is just to chase you away from a tree or something, but this one just don't know how to stop and I don't know why!"She looked pleadingly at Mishu, "Please?"Pidgey [lvl 6] is acting strangely aggressive. Do you want to help out?Shiny: zGKuf7A01-421-42

PARTY: | OOC: 590 Words; 400 Added to Egg! Not attacking, BUT Kotaro will use Quick Attack if Pidgey attacks Mishu or Kotaro | Character: Mishu
Soft yellow eyes stared up at the strange dark blue haired woman. Mishu didn’t budge as the fox twitches its tall, black ears and wriggled its cute, button nose adorably so. Kotaro took in long, deep breaths with flared nostrils as he pulled in her scent. She smelled sweet, like summer rain on a hilltop covered in beautiful wildflowers that had just bloomed. Something about her soft, somber voice beckoned the small dark fox ever closer, as though she were a safe place. Someone he could run to, somewhere he could hide. Could Kotaro trust this specific individual? He didn’t want to. There was a large, thick brick wall that seemed to keep him at bay inside of his head. Like a barrier imposing itself from the mind into the real world, the small red and black fox slowly back up. He pulled his lips back and gave a small, short skittish growl. Mishu stayed still, stooped into her awkward posture as Kotaro tried to process everything.
Then a sound carried over the hills. Kotaro’s ears stood on high alert as he listen, then fell and fanned at the sides of his face as his eyes narrowed. It was a loud screech of an avian creature. The fox turned swiftly around and darted off into the distance, slipping between thickets of tree trunks and ducking off into the woods. It was a trap! Kotaro knew that it had to be, and yet he had trusted her all too easily! “No, wait –!” She called out and stood up. Mishu dropped her hands to her side and let out a long, exasperated sigh. All that work, ruined so easily! Now she needed to find her newfound partner! She started to run off but stopped dead in her tracks with the sound of another person called out to her.
Mishu turned around and walked over to the sound of another woman who seemed to be caught in a losing battle with a small brown-and-cream feathered bird. The normal-and-flying type avian swooped down on its tiny wings and pecked at the other person mercilessly, as though it had been enraged by her. “We don’t have these in my region.” She tilted her head as she pulled her backpack around to the front and yanked a notepad out. Mishu flipped to an open page and began to sketch the strange and wondrous bird, taking note of its estimated size and its aggressive nature.
But they aren’t usually aggressive? Hmm… “So you’re saying these birds aren’t usually this aggressive? Can you retrace your steps leading up to the attack?” She asked the lady as she cautiously approached the both of them. Mishu knew, though, that she would need to be extremely careful lest she provoke the bird herself and cause it to swoop down upon her head. She didn’t want to attack the poor Pokemon, especially without knowing all the facts first. “Maybe you did something to spook it and you just weren’t aware? Could it also have a nest nearby?” Two familiar ears popped out from under a bush and twitched nervously as the skittish fox observed from the safety of its hiding place. This person… she wasn’t the cause of the sound? She wasn’t attacking him? No…it was just a dumb bird, attacking another strange human. Feeling a bit guilty for running off so fast, Kotaro would remain hidden unless the Pidgey tried to attack him or his trainer. He at least owed Mishu the same kindness she had shown him, after all…

The woman looked a bit confused when Mishu's reaktion to her problem was to find a notesblok and comment she wasn't used to see pidgey's around. Why wasn't she helping her? Or at least said it straight out if she couldn't? When Mishu began asking more questions, the woman sighed as it sounded a lot like one of the researchers from the nearby lab who could be a bit detached from reality and had other priorities than normal people. "I'd love to help you learn about this pokemon, but could you please get it to stop pecking me?" The woman pleaded with a laugh, while it wasn't the worst thing that could happen it was a bit annoying that Mishu let her wait and get more pecked while asking unimportant questions. "I'm collecting mushrooms which are perfect this time of year, and I might have gotten too close to its nest or something, but they usually let you go after having chased you for 20 meters or so! This one shows no signs of stopping and I haven't taken anything else than those mushrooms," The woman rambled off and now sounded a bit annoyed. "Now, please! Do you have a pokemon or some other way which can stop it? Or else I'll need to go home and hide in my house until it gives up, which hopefully won't take long," the woman added with her arms above her head to shield herself from the ongoing diving and pecking from the pidgey. The pidgey ignored Mishu completely, she could just as well not have been there at all. With the pidgey keeping its attention only on the strange woman, Kotaro was free to watch peacefully and get to learn a bit about his human and the strange region he had been brought to. That is until something sticky was shot straight at his face followed by laughter. "I got you! I got you real good!" A voice boasted which came from a pink worm which Kotaro certainly wouldn't have seen before either. It grinned obliviously as it continued to tell him how good it had been at hitting the nickit's face with a stringshot. "You were hiding and didn't see me at all! But I did sneak up on your and I hit you in teh face!" The wurmple continued eagerly as if it hadn't been clear to the dark type already. Wurmple [lvl 5] is teasing Kotaro! Shiny: sRWPSYEh1-421-42

PARTY: | OOC: 660 Words; 400 Added to Egg! Kotaro uses Tail Whip | Character: Mishu
The young scientist jotted down notes about the Pidgey as she studied the bird. The wild Pokemon was a small bird, just a bit bigger than a Rookidee. It had a short, thick pink beak that seemed better suited to breaking open hard shells. I wonder what your diet is… Perhaps you subsist on a mixture of bugs, seeds, and nuts? Or perhaps, you just enjoy seeds and nuts, particularly ones with hard shells like walnuts? Mishu had to wonder how powerful the Pidgey’s short, thick brown-and-cream feathered wings were. The way that the avian dived repeatedly after the other woman’s head gave Mishu the idea that the bird was most likely capable of whipping up thick gusts of strong air with its impressive wings.
Meanwhile, Kotaro jumped back as a thick shot of stringy substance shot at previously wild fox. The red fox with thick black markings around it’s hazel-colored eyes leaped nearly a foot into the air as it turned swiftly on its feet. His thick, bushy red tail dipped at the ends in thick black fur reminiscent of debris from a chimney sweep. Kotaro tossed his tail up high into the air and waved it back and forth as he growled at the shadows before scampering around tree to its other side. What was that? Who was attacking him?! What did they want?! Please, go away! He thought, quivering and shaking nervously so as his eyes darted around anxiously.
Mishu was shocked when the other woman began laughing and pleading with her. Was something wrong in the way that Mishu had reacted? Just because the other woman had spotted her as a trainer, and hoped that Mishu would help her out, did not mean that she owed her any favors! And she was trying to help her out. Humans – trainers or not – just had to learn what their impact on the environment amounted to. “I would love to help you.” Mishu spoke softly, yet clearly, as she stopped scribbling in her pad and placed the hand that held onto her pen on the side of her hips. “But I can’t do that – short of just battling and beating the poor Pokemon up – without understanding why it attacked you. Did you actually want help, or did you want another person to feed into your human ego?” Mishu asked, trying to keep her voice from throwing any sort of accusation. She didn’t want to upset the woman, but she did want to get her to understand her part in this.
Play? The Nickit yipped cheerfully and began bouncing up and down on its feet excitedly. The small bug with its pink-and-white exoskeleton immediately calmed the small fox down as it spoke up. The once worried hazel eyes narrowed down on the Wurmple before they softened. He rushed over to the bug and shook his head hard and fast. It almost seemed as though Kotaro’s head might pop off from the sheer force alone. “Oh, do you wanna play?! I love games! My momma and daddy used to play all sorts of games with me!” Kotaro spun around and began whipping his large, bushy tail back and forth excitedly. He could only hope that the Wurmple wouldn’t run off.
Mishu sighed and shook her head as the woman explained what she was doing. What was causing the bird to react so aggressively? She shook her head and reached a hand up to scratch her head. The thick dark blue curls bounced and swayed as Mishu considered her options. This woman had misjudged the poor avian, by the sounds of it. The scientist in the making walked closer to both the woman and the bird and reached a hand out carefully. “Come now, little bird.” She tried to speak soothingly. “Don’t you have a family to return back to? We mean you no more harm.” Mishu promised, hoping that the Pidgey somehow understood.

The woman stared speechless at Mishu from her outburst, she was the one getting pecked here and she didn't get at all what Mishu meant about her ego. "It is getting rather painful and yes I did hope you could chase it off," she began confused, wasn't that what trainers did? Battle pokemon? How could you be a trainer if you didn't? "But if you can't do that, don't you have a pokemon who can talk to it and explain to it that I mean no harm? Or get the informations you need?" She asked and added, "I mean, if you have kids in school who are fighting, you usually stop it before talking to them to solve the problem, so I kind off expected you to do the same since right now I'm the one getting beaten up."The woman sounded more confused than angry, she hadn't really caught what had changed the conversation and she definitely didn't understand why it should take so long to do something that should be really simple, if Mishu was a trainer. The pidgey didn't pay Mishu any attention until she held her hand up towards it, then it screeched and pecked at her to get her hand away, it would hurt if Mishu didn't get her hand pulled back in time. Otherwise it didn't seem to listen to what she said, or perhaps it didn't understood her. Right now it was too upset for it to make any sense. There was a slight change in what it targeted, now the woman was standing still some of its attacks was further down than just the woman's head. The Wurmple didn't notice how Kotaro jumped by the hit of the string shot, it was too busy telling him how great it had been for it to happen in the first place. It stopped and flinched a bit as he rushed over to it, watching him warily as he shook his head wildly. It relaxed and looked eagerly when the nickit asked if it wanted to play. "You wanna play?" It mirrored the question eagerly, "no one wants to play with me, they just say I should eat and shut up! I'd love to!" It exclaimed and bounced up and down as Kotaro waved with his tail. The wurmple took aim and shot another sticky thread at him, which stuck to his front legs this time. The wurmple pouted playfully as it had missed its attempt to hit him in the face again. PARTY: | OOC: 69 Words; 400 to add to egg please. Kotaro uses Beat Up | Character: Mishu
Kotaro skidded to a stop. The slippery terrain caused the red-and-black bushy-tailed fox to slide across the slurry of wet, sodden ground mixed with snowy debris and leafy remains. He squeaked out in terror as his legs shot out in different directions, causing the front half of his body to plummet to the icy ground. He struggled and kicked wildly and splayed his legs in different directions as he tried to right himself. Kotaro’s rear end shot up into the air, then deflated back towards the sodden ground below as he crossed his front legs to push himself back up. “Gee, this is kinda slippery, isn’t it?!” He giggled, though the ends of his words were twinged with a bit of shock and horror. It took Kotaro a good while until he was able to grasp his footing in the terrain. Ok, I gotta use this to my advantage. He thought to himself with a smirk.
The thirty year old’s hand stayed in the air as the bird screeched out a loud warning. Her dark umber fingertips twitched nervously and faltered only for a second, but she refused to pull away. She was sure this bird was riled up because of something that happened and had disturbed it’s environment. The question remained – what? Her golden amber eyes widened, and she bit her lips as the feathery brown bird pecked at her hand. Some impolite words slipped out from under her breath in a hurried and hushed fashion. She pulled back with a sigh and a frown. I’m the one that is the intruder here. I know this. It won’t be easy to convince you to let me help you. She rubbed the spot where the Pidgey had pecked and gasped when a twinge of red swirled in a smeared pattern against her skin. Pidgey’s beaks were really strong and impressive. They were even powerful enough to break skin!
“Hang on..” Mishu commented and walked back over to her backpack. Although it was an old traveling companion of hers from her adventures back in Galar, Mishu was careful to take good care of her belongings. The frayed edges, though minor, showed the only hints of aging for her carryall. She rummaged through her supplies and pulled out a small first aid kit, where she pulled out a trusty bandage and began dressing her wounds. She used some antiseptic to clean the wound first, then covered it, before returning back to the lady and the mysteriously overly angry Pidgey.
Kotaru’s fluffy, black-tipped tail shot straight up into the air as his fur stood on ends. The long stringy substance coated the red fox’s fur in random areas and uneven areas. It clung to his coat. He steadied his four paws on the ground and furiously shook himself to unsuccessfully shake off the bug’s sticky goo. He fluffed up his fur to make himself seem bigger and more imposing, but still this didn’t seem to help. Woah, this is a really good attack. Grade A way to slow your opponent down. Do all bug friends have this kind of skill?’ Kotaro thought. “Amazing attack, lil fellow! I don’t know why someone would call you stupid. Slowing your ‘opponent’ down is a smart move!” He emphasized opponent in a joking and playful way and laughed. “Hey Guys, let get ‘im!” Kotaro championed his largely empty party of nonexistent team mates to join him in beating up his opponent. The furry red fox rushed over to the pink Wurmple and dived from its left side to its right side before playfully batting the bug Pokemon with it’s black paws. “Now, you let me know if I’m bein’ too rough on my friend, ‘kay?”
“Since you mentioned it, I do have Kotaro. Maybe he can talk to the Pidgey.” Should she involve her own Pokemon to help her learn more about this Pidgey? Mishu sifted her slender fingers through her wavy blue hair and scratched her scalp gently as she considered the notion. “Hey, Kotaro! Kotaro, where are you?” Mishu walked around and called out as she searched for her team mate.

The woman winced when Mishu got pecked and she looked sympathetically as the wound, "yeah, it can peck pretty hard," she said knowingly and tilted her head puzzled as Mishu went to her bag but lightened up when she saw the first aid kit. When Mishu returned empty handed after having taken care of herself, the woman look at her with a stone face. "Really?" She said and sounded disappointed, she flinched when the pidgey dived at her and pulled at her hair and sent Mishu a pleading look, befor she straightened up and held out a hand. "The least you can do is offer me some of that kit, I have more wounds than you do by now," she said tiredly and would be very insistent that she got some of it. As Mishu turned to search for her missing partner, the woman's mouth fell open for a moment. She turned her head away and looked suspiciously at the dark type trainer as she walked around aimlessly. Then she sighed and looked overbearing at Mishu. "Hey! Stop that!" She exclaimed and earned another peck as she tried to shoo off the pidgey, who had now turned all its focus on the woman's pretty little waist bag which was sitting on her hip. The bird dug its claws in and grab the top with its beak and shook its head wildly as if it tried to tear it appart. "That's a gift from a friend! You can't break it!" The woman said agitated and tried to push the bird off, the bird chirped furiously and flapped hard to stay put hanging from the side of the bag. The Wurmple was fighting for its breath from laughing so much at Kotaro's Bambi-on-ice kind of display. "You're legs are too long!" It hiccupped and laid its most front legs on its chest as it took some deep breaths, but then it broke down in giggles again. It could barely answer his praise through its giggling although it's cheek reddened a bit more than they already were and it looked away shyly. Alarm flashed into the wurmple's eyes and it stopped giggling abruptly when Kotaro rushed at it, and it looked panicked to see where the other hidden pokemon he had called for were. It dug its head and closed its eyes in preparation for the worst when the nickit reached it, and then blinked slowly as he poked it lightly as he hopped around it. It laughed a bit sheepishly and relaxed again, this was really just a game. "Oh you!" It said playfully and swung its overbody around and pushed Kotaro away, "you'll pay for that!" It teased. PARTY: | OOC: 781 Words; 400 to add to egg please. Kotaro uses Quick Attack | Character: Mishu
Kotaro and Mishu were in two separate worlds. The sly red fox with a soft white underbelly lived in a playful world with the friendliest little bug Pokemon he had ever met. Mishu wanted nothing more than to understand the Pidgey and figure out why it was lashing out at the other young lady so aggressively. She called out and searched around the open route that have been carved through a thicket of trees and tall ledges. The foxy little dark type Pokemon couldn’t hear her in his world of play and make believe.
The somewhat tall older lady climbed over a steep ledge that required her to place her hands on the top of the ledge and help hoist herself up as she scrambled with her feet. A face full of sludgy icy snow, partially melted in the sunlight caught between a world not quite cold enough for it’s existence nor warm enough to full dissipate. As she stood up fully, she began to brush the excess off of her face and placed her hands in a cupped, mocked speaker-phone around her mouth. “Come out, Kotaro! Nickit. Where did you go?” She heaved a heaved, concern sigh and crawled between two trees that were closely packed together save for just enough space for a single person to squeeze through. It was blocked off by a wall of trees at it’s end, however, and caused the young lady to have to turn around abruptly and push back the way she had originally came.
Nickit slid back and forth across the slushy ground as he tested the ground once more. A determined look cascaded a way across his eyes, causing his brows to furrow and his lip to tighten in a devilish grin. “Betcha can’t keep up, huh? What me now!” He called out to his spiky pink friend with long yellow poisonous barbs on its rear-end and a small poisonous barb on it’s head. Kotaro stomped his feet determinedly into the icy-covered grass before kicking off with his back legs. He would dart around as nimbly and swiftly as possible, slipping from one side to the other unless the Wurmple found a way to prevent him from doing so. With one quick motion, he would jump up into the air before aiming to land smack-dab beside him. If his move landed then Kotaro would try to send his head spiraling into the side of his friend – hopefully not too hard to hurt him but possible hard enough to knock the wind out of him temporarily. “How was that? Impressive, huh?” He asked his friend.
Mishu made her way back to the girl before catching a glimpse of the ensuing argument. I really didn’t want to do this, but what choice do I have?! She grabbed her bag and raced across the icy terrain to try to use it as a barrier to gently block the bird and try to nudge it off of the other woman’s bag. Mishu nearly slipped and fell in the process, though she just barely clung onto her footing. A small sound - like someone trying to break a twig – caught her attention. “You hear that?” The blue-haired Dark-type trainer would absent-mindedly hand her bag as a weapon to the lady for a split second. She didn’t seem dangerous, considering the length of time she’d spent arguing with Mishu and begging for her to help her out with the bird Pokemon. “You can use my first aid kit for yourself.” She informed the other lady.
Mishu walked around her towards a huge limb that had fallen off of a nearby tree and had a large, discarded nest laying on the ground with a singular bluish-black egg wiggling on the ground. “Oh, this is a Murkrow egg. I’m almost positive. They’re pretty crafty fellows with an affinity for shiny things. So many people fear them for no good reason, too.” She picked it up and very gently began dusting the debris off the egg as she checked its condition, hoping that it wasn’t too late and that it hadn’t suffered any significant damages. An idea struck her as she walked over to the other lady and the troublesome Pidgey. “I doubt you can really understand me but…Pidgey, did you know about this egg? Did some horrible person do this?” It looked like it was the strike of a bolt of lightning, but Mishu wasn’t for sure. She doubted that the Pidgey even understood her at all, and half wondered how crazy she had to sound for trying to talk to it after the first failed attempt.

"Hey! What about lending me that kit first?!" The woman protested when Mishu left without handing her the first aid kit, but soon got distracted by the bird. "Thanks!" She said relieved when Mishu came back not long after and helped her with the pidgey, albeit briefly. "What?" The woman asked distractedly and eagerly snatched the bag from Mishu when offered, and tried to push it in between the bird and her beltpouch without ripping the fine leather and decorations. "Do you think birds love the frills and pearls?" The woman asked as she carefully kept the beak away with the bag, while pulling gently at the bird's claws to get it it to release its grip, but she wasn't very successful. She glanced up when she didn't get any answers and sighed tiredly when she noticed that Mishu was out of earshot once again. "So much help she is, she's probably a researcher of some sort, she certainly has the absentmindedness of one!" the woman said under her breath and had to pull her hand away quickly to avoid getting pecked again. "Why do I have such soft heart I want to help others with their wishes when I'm in such problem myself?" she added and smirked bashfully. The woman's head snapped around when Mishu suddenly spoke again, "where did you get that?" She asked surprised and winced when the pidgey's beak found her skin again. The bird screeched as Mishu moved in close and swung its head around but froze right in its track when it saw the egg, and its feathers slowly laid down again. It chirped worryingly and let go of the purse to flap to Mishu's arm. It chirped directed at the egg as it sidestepped up Mishu's arms ignoring the woman it was standing on. It gave the egg a few gently pecks and chirped encouragingly. A tiny weak answer came from within and the pidgey resolutely swung its beak at the egg and cracked it open, before it began pulling at the edges. The shell seemed surprisingly thick and scratchmarks revealed the baby bird had been trying to get out but hadn't been able to. The woman glanced over keeping Mishu's bag up as a shield should the pidgey decide to turn its attention on her again. "Aw, that is so cute!" She cooed but quickly frowned, "doesn't it look rather weak? Can a bird be too long in the egg? How long has it been there?" She asked Mishu, looking like she expected the more experienced woman to know all the answers. Wurmple's grin faltered a bit when Kotaro smiled devilishly, it exhaled while lowering its head a bit before lifting it with its grin plastered back on. It looked at him sliding around and then tryingly pushed itself around a bit but with a much bigger surface it didn't slid around so much. "Huh?" The wurmple said and looked up from its practice sliding when Kotaro called out and it blinked as he rushed around swiftly, darting here and there. It frowned concentrated as it tried to keep up with him but still lost track and howled from shock when he plopped down right in front of it, rearing away it was easy for the nickit to give it a headbutt which toppled it over. It was gasping half from the shock and half from laugher when it rolled back on its stomach. "Yes! I really hadn't expected that! I might not be fast but I can slow you down!" It said mischievously and spewed a string of that sticky stuff from before, which swirled around Kotaro's front legs and bound them together. "Try run fast now!" The bug laughed and did another sliding attempt which went well, so it looked proudly at Kotaro, "you are not the only one who can do that now."Wild Encounter Weather: Chinook (slippery) [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] [attr="class","qkt-clip"]Wurmple LV 5 HP 52% [11/21] [attr="class","qkt-wild-imgbox"] [attr="class","qkt-pkmn-img"] [attr="class","qkt-trainer-pkmn"] [attr="class","qkt-clip"]Kotaro LV 10 HP 90% [28/31] [attr="class","qkt-trainer-imgbox"] [attr="class","qkt-pkmn-img"] Wumrple [Shield Dust]: SPD 812 Normal (-1 DEF, +1 SPD) Kotaro [Ability]: Spd 18 12 Normal (-1 SPD) <Kotaro used Quick Attack, Wurmple used String Shot> Hatchling shiny: yamEwNu|1-42Congratulations! The blue-haired woman whose height was caught halfway between five feet and six feet smiled as the small, dusty brown feathered bird edged its way up her arms and stared at the egg worriedly. It was just as concerned as she was and wanted to know that this little hatchling was going to be ok. Her eyes widened a bit when the Pidgey used its thick, strong beak to peck and prod at the egg, but Mishu made sure not to make any sudden movements that may started the tiny bird away from her. She studied the creature carefully as she watched it tend to the weak hatchling who was barely able to find a way to push free and find its own escape. Although a rather plain and simple looking bird Pokemon, the Pidgey had a strikingly beautiful, large black banded mark on the side of it’s face trailing from its eyes. Black attracted heat, so was this marking used to help it have better vision out in the blistering heat of the hot summer months?
“I found it on the ground. A bolt of lightning must have struck the tree with the nest in it.” She informed the other lady who wouldn’t release Mishu’s bag for fear that she may be attacked again. “The fall must have disturbed the egg. It seems lucky that it has survived.” She admitted. Mishu spoke her words in a carefully in a low tone so that she wouldn’t spoke the Pidgey as it tended to the young chick. “A bad storm must have rolled through here some time earlier. I’m wondering if we should check to see if the Pidgey had a nest that something similar happened to, as well?” She admitted. The tiny black feathered chick pecked and prodded its way through with the older bird’s help. It flapped helplessly in Mishu’s arms and cawed thankfully to the older flying type Pokemon for helping it break free. This hatchling would make it, but she would have to carry it to the nearest Pokemon center soon to be sure that everything was ok.
The pink larval Pokemon shot out another round of its sticky, stringy goo. Kotaro’s thick bushy tail shot straight up in the air and began to wag back and forth as he tried to shake his fur to rid himself of the excess string shot. It was too late. The stringy buggy substance stuck to his fur and skin, wrapping himself up in a silky mess as he scratched and bit at the gooey substance to pull it out of his fur and try to free himself from the sticky mess. “That’s a good one!” He admitted to his friend, still cleaning up his fur meticulously for the moment. Then the red furred fox would leap up and race after his friend again, aiming to hit him with another quick attack while he still could. Come on feet. Don’t fail me now. Let’s show our little friend what we’re made of! He thought with a sly smile.

The wurmple watched gleefully as Kotaro tried to clean the worst of the strings out of his fur. "Yeah, I know. Most say its not useful at all but I know my granny once shut the beak of a bird who tried to eat her with it! So I'm practicing to be the best there is!" The Wurmple boasted. When Kotaro moved forward the wurmple scrambled laughingly to turn and rush off, "you can't catch me!" It called out loud as its stubby legs slid and glided over the icy surface as it tried to gain speed. It managed to just stay out of reach of Kotaro and darted around a tuff of tall grass and it toppled over laughingly as the nickit pelted past it. Where the sticky strings slowed down Kotaro it also helped him gain a better footing since some of it was stuck at his paws. While the wurmple was now quick enough to keep its distance, Kotaro's sticky paw made him great at turning corners and he slammed a paw into the side of the pink bug who rolled over the ground where it ended on its right side. It laid gasping and laughing where it landed, "I give up, I give.. up!" It hiccupped and waved a foot in defeat. "Huh, I can't breathe," it gasped and turned an eye towards Kotaro, its grin never leaving its face, "that was fun!"It lay still a few more moments before it rolled back on its stomach and looked at Kotaro with bright eyes, "you are really fast! Can we do this another time?" It asked hopefully. "Oh no!" The woman gasped quietly and glanced at the pidgey who still didn't pay her any attention. "That sounds horrible, it's good that it's fine," the woman said, "you think it is because it has laid out of the nest that the shell has become so tough and hard?"The pidgey chirped and did its best to help the murkrow out of the remains of the eggshell, which it threw to the ground, and it flap its wings encouragingly and chirped to the baby bird to do the same. It turned and chirped demanding at Mishu and looked at her expectantly and would peck the murkrows beak lightly a few times, if the human didn't understand. "That might be the case for why its angry," the woman exclaimed and smiled encouragingly at Mishu, a quick nervous glance at the pidgey and she took a few steps away and began to clean some of her wounds, wincing from the stinging. When the pidgey felt certain the baby bird was well cared for, and hopefully getting fed, it turned a worried eye at the woman, who froze in her tracks, and her hand flew protectively to her decorated poch. As the bird spread its wings and turned fully towards her she backed off and lifted Mishu's back protectively. "What have I done to you?" She asked it panicked, and then quickly opened her pouch and pulled out a few edible shrooms which she threw at the ground. "Look! I just have chanterelles, I haven't taken anything from you!" She defended herself and the pidgey dived and flung one of the shrooms away, and chirped furiously at the woman who looked back at it helplessly. Kotaro "won" and grows +1 level to [lvl 11]! (ooc: you can catch the wurmple if you want, but I get a feeling you aren't interested )

The red-and-black fox laughed as his friend admitted defeat. A tinge of sadness decorated his eyes and he worried that hew would never see his newfound companion again once he set off with his trainer. Where would their travels take them, and could he really hope to lose a friend after making them this early in the game? The crafty red fox’s ears flattened on the sides of his face. The hot sun beamed high in the sky, causing the already melting slushy snow to liquify faster. A promise of warmer weather on the horizon as it burned brightly in the sky. In fact, if it wasn’t for the tiniest of gentle breezes some might complain that it was slowly growing to be too hot too fast – a typical complaint of many, when the weather wasn’t the perfect “inside, A/C, climate controlled” conditionings of their house. “I had so much fun with you!” Kotaro exclaimed as his tail thumped happily on the ground. “Promise to never forget me? I hope we can meet up and play like this when we’re older. Do you think you’ll be a Beautifly or Dustox by then?” He asked with a bright smile.
Mishu watched as the Pidgey helped clear off the shell from the hatchling then tapped expectantly on the Murkrow’s beak. The beak was weak? They needed their parents to regulate the temperature of the egg for many bird species and could die before they’ve had the chance to hatch. In fact, several egg-laying animals sometimes regulated the genders of their young by the transfer of heat to the eggs. Mishu carefully cleared away the excess shells and pulled out a soft rag from the pocket of her jeans after she moved the Murkrow so that she could cradle it freely in one hand and used it to gently clean up the bird. Mishu walked over to the other girl and reached out her hand expectantly for the bag. “There should be some Pokefood in my bag. Look for a small blue canister. It’sll have a spring-top lid to it. Those are the softest Pokefood pellets I have. Get me one of my bottles of water out of the bag too. I can break them up and use the water to hydrate them just a little bit – not too much to clog up the Murkrow’s throat or choke it – to help feed it.”
If the other lady chose to just hand the bag over and let Mishu figure it out, she would. If she refused to even hand the bag over, then Mishu would simply snatch it back. Hopefully, the other lady just worked with Mishu as this would make things easier. The light brown eyed dark type trainer watched as the Pidgey began flinging the mushrooms away with a strange sort of curiosity. “Don’t Pidgey normally eat bugs? Hmm…” Then it dawned on her and she turned to the strange woman and her cherished decorated bag. The Pidgey ate the bugs, that must be true. With its strong winds, Mishu could speculate that the Pidgey would be able to whip up a powerful gust attack to scare out any hiding prey within its region. But several species of bugs thrived on mushrooms. If this woman wasn’t the only person harvesting mushrooms from the forest, then chances were good that the Pidgey felt threatened by the human’s encroachment on its territory.
“How often do you collect mushrooms from this area? Are there any others who collect mushrooms from around here?” Mishu asked. She would begin breaking up the soft Pokefood and using the bottled water to create a soft, sloshy Pokemon food mixture that would be safe and easier for the young Murkrow to swallow and digest. The blue-haired trainer would then only take the smallest pieces of the mixture and place in the Murkrow’s beak encouragingly as she cradled it to help ensure that it kept its head up enough to eat. “I believe the Pidgey may be worried about the overharvesting of this mushroom. I’m sure the bugs its loves to eat depend on the Mushroom. I bet Pidgey has been finding it harder to find food thanks to the overharvesting of this mushroom and is upset. Maybe you should apologize and promise not to harvest anymore chanterelles from this area?” Mishu added with a hopeful expression. If the other lady refused and that truly was the issue, then there would be little more that Mishu could do for her. If the woman would promise the Pidgey this and the Pidgey calmed down, then Mishu would set back off on her journey down the route once more.

The wurmple's grin faltered as Kotaro spoke and sadness found its way to its eyes too. "Had? So you are not staying," it said quietly, "everyone here leaves, so I guess it shouldn't be a surprise." It smiled sadly to Kotaro. "Of course not! I hope you don't forget me either," it said and sounded more doubtful and then shrugged, "I don't know, depends on if I become a silcoon or a cascoon and I don't really have a say in that. And then you probably wouldn't be able to recognize me then." It sighed and then put on a forced smile, "But we'll see one day, take care and have a lot of fun!"The wurmple grinned but it the happiness didn't reach its eyes, it bowed its head to Kotaro and then turned to crawl away before it couldn't hold back the tears anymore. The woman was reluctant to hand back Mishu's bag, it had worked well as a shield. She was more than happy to dug out the pokemon food and hand it over Mishu, which would have been hard for the owner of the bag to do, while she still had the murkrow baby in her hands. If guided she would even help with hydrating the food for Mishu to use to feed the hatchling. The woman frowned and scratched her head thoughtfully, "I'm usually out two or three times in the fall, but I saw there were so many shrooms around I couldn't help but take a few. I don't think anyone else is plucking this time of year," she said slowly while watching Mishu feeding the young one. As the baby was well cared for the pidgey turned its attention at the woman again. "You think?" The woman asked and shot Mishu a quick glance before she looked down at the pidgey who was getting agitated again. "Look, I haven't taken much and you can get it back if that helps," the woman said and opened up her pouch, which made the pidgey fluff out its feathers aggressively once more. The woman emptied her little back with the two to three different kind of edible shrooms, the pidgey hopped a few steps forward and completely ignored any shrooms which wasn't chanterelles, it even stepped on one of them in its eagerness to get closer to the woman. "See, that's all I have, it's empty now," the woman said and showed the empty interior of the pouch and the pidgey tilted its head and laid down its feathers again and walked over to the chanterelles, which it circled uncertainly a few times. "That is strange," the woman said tilting her head forwards and then hesitantly reached for a bay bolette, the pidgey didn't react at all. She swallowed hard and picked it up and moved so the pidgey saw it in her hand, it watched her calmly but as she didn't get any closer it looked down on the chanterelles at its feet again. The woman stood with her hands loose at her side with a perplexed expression. "Apparently it is only those which are the problem," she said to Mishu and glanced at her, "I wonder why, perhaps they are contaminated? I can show you were I picked them, perhaps your can figure out the problem then." The woman offered and began to collect all the shrooms which wasn't chanterelles, which the pidgey didn't object at all. The woman looked thoughtful and then took a step towards the pidgey, who looked at her warily, the moment she reached out towards the shrooms at its feet, it raised its feathers and jumped towards her chirping. She withdrew and the bird returned to circle the shrooms. The woman placed Mishu's bag beside her, "I don't think I need that one anymore, thanks for lending it to me," she said with a smile which disappeared when she noticed the pidgey had begun to throw sand over the chanterelles, as if it tried to bury them. If Mishu wanted to be shown where the woman had plucked the mushrooms which had upset the pidgey, the woman would gladly lead her there. It wasn't a long walk, just a few hundred meters into the tall grass to a humid grove with old trees, and plenty of shrooms, especially chantarelles. "I have plucked here for years," the woman said and put her hands on her hips as she looked around. A loud chirping made her jump and cover her head, the pidgey came racing and landed on the ground in front of them wings spread out and clearly not wanting them getting any closer to the grove. The blue-haired, light-brown eyed dark type trainer scratched the bottom of her chin with her hands as she tried to put the puzzling pieces of this mystery together. There were many chanterelle mushrooms and she only picked them a couple of times in the fall? The strange young lady was most likely timing the seasons of the mushrooms with the best time for her to gather them, perhaps for some homemade meals or to sell in a store? However, the curly haired thirty year old didn’t suppose that a few missing mushrooms should normally throw a small bird in such a tizzy. It was more likely that she would have disturbed its nest, honestly. Though, usually birds give up once you’ve wondered far enough away from said nest, and they often moved their nest shortly after to keep their young the safest.
Was there something else connecting the yellow mushrooms with the dull brown feathered avian? As the other lady tilted her designer purse and emptied the contents out, Mishu watched the Pidgey circle the mushrooms with a strange fixation. She didn’t suppose that the bird ate the mushrooms itself. She pulled out her trusty Pokedex and skipped to the fascinating facts that covered the pidgey’s diet. “… foraging for food such as small bugs.” That solved that. So if she was right about this tiny bird’s diet, then why did it need the mushrooms so badly? “Please take me to the spot where you frequently like to harvest the mushrooms. There’s definitely a reason why this Pidgey is so fixated with them, and it’s not related to its diet that I can tell. I doubt bugs would care if there were plenty of other mushrooms and such about to feast on, so that plausibility isn’t holding enough water.” Mishu stated with a snap of her fingers and a nod of her head. She used a Pokeball that she tapped against the baby bird to capture it. This will make transporting you to the Pokecenter safer until I can assure your health.
Mishu trotted slowly behind the lady as they wondered through the forest to the spot. “Is this also the first year a Pokemon has attacked you over these mushrooms?” Mishu inquired with a tilt of her head. Within mere moments, they arrived at the grove and Mishu looked around at all the mushrooms that shot up along the old tree trunks. Armillaria, Hen-of-the-woods, Oyster mushrooms, and Sulphur shelf mushroom, among many others decorated the spot. The wild winged avian rushed at them again. It held its wings outstretched and seemed defensive of the chanterelles, as if it were warning the trainers to avoid the spot entirely. Mishu straightened up her back and trotted closer, preparing for the wild bird to try to dissuade her and possibly peck her like it had done to the other lass.
“We need to see if we can figure out why this Pidgey is so bent up over these mushrooms.” Mishu commented. She wasn’t truthfully sure that her newfound comrade would stay out here with her for long, but she had to hope that the young lass wouldn’t try to high-tail it out of the woods to leave her high and dry. Besides, didn’t this lady seem like she really wanted to be able to collect the mushrooms again? Hard to tell, with the way she’d also tried to give them back almost to no avail. Should the Pidgey peck at Mishu or otherwise prevent her from getting any closer, the dark type trainer would have to back up and try pacing around the bird and its prized chanterelles to see if she could slip in closer from another angle or find any obvious signs around the base of the trees and other mushrooms that might had made the bird go wild.
