It quickly turned out to be a slow progress, it was a crowded and popular area of the underground salestreet with plenty of cafés and clothes shops which attracted plenty of shoppers. Astrid and her pokemon had to weave their way through and try spot any clues of where the magnemites had disappeared to. Astrid stopped as people milled about and turned to her pokemon. "We are not getting anywhere like this, we need to split up to cover a bigger area," she decided and let out Helen as well which quickly gave them plenty of space as people kept a good distance to the big spider. Helen glanced around and lowered her head a bit while Astrid ignored it. "You all know how the magnemites look and I will guess they have some place in a corner or behind a shop or something where they live, which will be hard to find. You need to check for cracks and holes in the buildings and I would like for you to ask any pokemon around if they have seen them," Astrid explained and lifted a finger, "but be aware. The other wild pokemon might want to protect them if they think we are after them, so try be aware and not aggressive," she warned them. Helen nodded her agreement and crawled off in the direction they had come from, the sea of people moved aside as if she was Moses.
Placido stomped off and called to a lickitung who was eating ice cream with its trainer, while Rita raced off weaving herself through all the many legs which occupied the place. Badri pouted on his spot on the trolley and Silvia hesitated but also stayed where she was. "Excuse me, may I ask you a question?" Astrid asked a man with glasses who was messing with some sort of device. "I'm not interested in hearing anything about your Lord or Savior, or some poor children who needs my help," he snapped without looking up. "I just wanted to learn about your magnemites, if that is alright?" She asked and he shot her a quick glance over his glasses. He didn't look pleased. "They are alive and no, I haven't made them. Good enough?" He asked irritated and Astrid smiled apologetically. "Close, what interest could a magnemite have in ceramic or sugared fruit?" She asked and he stared at her like she was crazy, then huffed and turned back to his device without answering her. "I guess they usually do not," Astrid said to herself after a prolonged silence which made it clear the man wasn't going to answer her questions.
Silvia spotted some rolling movement and jumped down from the trolley and jumped over to where there was a small opening in between two shops. What looked like a big pokeball rolled around and after having watched it for some time the horsea called out to it. "Hey, have you seen some magnemites around?" she called and flinched as the voltorb rolled way too close to her face and stared her down. "Why? Who's asking?" It demanded aggressively and Silvia glared back and refused to back down. "My trainer is looking for some to be sure they are okay," she explained and straightened even though it didn't help much against the bigger voltorb, who smirked. "And why shouldn't I just grill you right here and now?" The voltorb asked with a malicious grin which made Silvia gasp and protest indignantly. Something black streaked past the horsea and sharp teeth glinted in the dim light as Rita threw herself at the voltorb.

The voltorb wasn't joking about grilling something when it used a charge beam against the black blur who took the hit. Rita returned the favor with a crunch. The voltorb is still annoyed with the dark rattata so it used charge beam once again but Rita's crunch was more than enough to finish it. Silvia +1 happiness & +675 exp
Rita +1 (1 level normal ) exp level 23-> 24, +1 happiness, also can evolve if it is night time to raticate Badri (exp share) +1 level, level 10 -> 11
Volturb KOed, double charge beam antonius , just about right! Lv25+ never get just +1 level from battle; only experience. Remember to look at the party for items like EXP Share too ;D~L
added in Badri, move for Rita and possible evolution: Anton

Silvia closed her tiny little mouth tightly as she watched Rita make short progress of the voltorb, why did she always get help even when not needed? Rita jumped back from the bruised voltorb who somehow managed to make itself look smaller and submissive, and the rattata backed off to Silvia with her ears twitching nervously. "I'm sorry, I know Astrid said no aggression but I couldn't help it with how it acted," Rita apologized fidgeting, Silvia looked at her surprised and then nodded. "It happens, I don't think a battle could have been avoided," the horsea said, "we might be able to use this to our advantage. Hey! I'm not done talking to you!" Silvia called to the voltorb who had tried to roll away. It froze and its eyes widened when the two females made their way over to it, a nervous grin flashed up on its face as its eyes darted from one to the other. "I was just joking, please don't hurt me," the voltorb grinned while it pressed itself against the ground, Silvia and Rita exchanged looks before both of them straightened to loom over the electric ball. "I just wanted to ask some questions, which I hope you want to answer now," Silvia said sternly and the voltorb nodded eagerly and said smarmy "Of course! I'll love to help in any way I can!" Silvia wrinkled her nose in disgust while Rita frowned annoyed. "Tell me if you have seen some magnemites, a pair preferably, some who often argues with each other," Silvia said and Voltorbs eyes flashed warily before its sickening smile return. "Magnemites is all over the place down here, and I'm certain some of them argues with each other but mostly they don't think much, they don't have much brain in there you know," the voltorb rambled and quickly added when its interrogators didn't look pleased, "I saw some just down the road as the pokemon center, if you hurry you might still catch them" The two looked at each other again, then Silvia gestured for them to leave with a nod of her head, "I don't think we'll get anything more out of it," she said as they left the opening and looked around for a Pokemon Center, but mostly just saw feet. A pair of eyes glared hatefully at them before it rolled away.
"There you are," Astrid said kindly as Silvia and Rita returned to her, "I take you did not find any magnemites this time. Do not worry, we will try a bit further down the road," she said cheerfully and place Silvia back up on the trolley beside Badri, who was shaking from excitement. They didn't have to go far before the telltale red and white sign of the Pokemon Center became visible and Astrid went inside after a quick glance at Badri. She recalled him and got another scatterbug out to join her and went out on the shopping street again. Silvia stretched to look around but couldn't see any magnemites around, "do you think it was lying?" she asked Rita who shrugged, "why wouldn't it? It probably knew more than it wanted to tell and sent us in a blind direction." The horsea scowled and glared back at where the voltorb had been. Balder, the scatterbug, watched them with mild curiousity.

A wild Magnemite floats in front of Astrid and her team. It looks rather upset as bolts of lightning zip between its tiny magnets. If they're not careful, they could get caught in its crosshairs. Getting out of the Pokemon Center Astrid made sure Balder was sitting securely on her trolley before she looked around. "Where to go.." she began but flinched as the magnemite came flying in close. The flying magnet withdrew a bit but let the electricity dance around its body, making its mood clear to her and every one around her. The crowd quickly pulled away and Silvia determined jumped down from the trolley to face it. "Hey lady! What have you done to anger it?"[/i] A random man called out rather annoyed, and Astrid lifted her chin when she heard the mumbles of her sending out a water type to face off the electric one. "I am not sure, but I have tried to track some down who might have made some trouble and trying to figuring out why," she answered to no-one in particular. "What did she say?" Someone asked as her thin voice didn't carry very far. Astrid chose to ignore it and focus on the magnemite instead. "Silvia, please ask it why it is upset and tell it we don't mean it any harm," Astrid said and the horsea nodded. "Are you crazy woman? Do you want your horsea to be toasted?!" Another voice called out and earned a bit of laughter. "She's too old for that," another commented dryly and Astrid sighed as she waited to see how the magnemite would react. Silvia straightened as she too heard the comments and while she agreed with the part about Astrid, she wasn't going to let the old woman down. She had been trusted to face this pokemon so Astrid had to think she was strong enough for that, and of course she was, this wasn't the first electric type she had run into although she of course hadn't handled them on her own before. "Why are you upset?" She called out to the magnemite, who made some metallic sounds and floated closer to her but she stood her ground stubbornly. It got right in her face and she could feel the tingle of the electricity, what was it with those electric pokemon and wanting to intimidate her? She swallowed hard but refused to budge, the magnemite narrowed its eyes as it noticed the wary look Silvia had in hers and flashed some more electricity. "Stop following us!" It threatened and Silvia waited for it to continue but it said nothing more, so they just stared awkward at each other. "What are you up to? We aren't here to hurt you," Silvia began and the magnemte lifted is magnet up high as if it threw up its arms. "Then leave us alone!" It said and Silvia began to protest but got interrupted by the magnemite, "enough! Leave I take the consequences!" It warned. Silvia opened her mouth and the magnemite began to charge up to get serious about what its warnings. To Silvia it was almost a dejá vu as a black streak flew past her at the magnemite and tried to bite down on one of its magnets and if successfull would attempt to throw it away. No matter if she was successful or not Rita would leap after it and try to chomp down on it again. Silvia looked like a thundercloud, "Hey! I could have handled this! That is not fair!" She shouted frustrated after Rita. One thing was to be helped once by accident but now it would just look like she couldn't handle it on her own, and there were spectators this time! "Stop taking my battles!" she shouted at Rita who for the time being was too occupied to answer. The magnemite fell much easier than Rita had expected, she grabbed hold of it in her first attempt and flung it away like it weighted nothing. She heard some angry voices but didn't think of it as she dashed after the magnemite, ignored the shock it gave her and threw it to the ground. She stood beside it heavily panting and first then began to realize where she was and the crowd around her. Her eyes went wide as the humans stepped closer holding up their phones towards her and her ears went flat down and she crouched wide eyed. She spun around and raced back the short distance to Astrid, only to slide to a halt when she was met with a furious Silvia. "Why do you keep doing that?!" The horsea demanded to know, and Rita backed confused and scared, "what?" she asked in a thin voice and Silvia shook with fury. "What?! WHAT?! Is that all you can say?! It was fine once but I can handle this, I don't need your help! I need the battles if I want to grow and then you can't come and snatch it all right under my nose!" Silvia hissed and Rita pushed herself to the ground shaking. "How dare you!" Silvia accused but Rita just stared at her paralyzed.
"It is okay Rita, they just want to get pictures of you," Astid called but it didn't look like the rattata heard her, but she did came scrambling back only for Silvia to begin to shout at her, much to Astrid's surprise. "What are you doing? Silvia, Silvia!" Astrid tried to cut through to no avail as Rita just pressed herself more and more to the ground and Silvia worked herself up. The old woman sighed and recalled both pokemon, she would have to talk with them at another time when they were calmed down, but Silvia really showed that there were some dragon in her. The old woman looked around but only Balder was within sight, as both Placido and Helen was still out looking. She let out Yakul, who headbutted her gently and Astrid stepped over to where the magnemite had been. Now where had it gone to? Shouldn't it still be where Rita had left it?

(Lv 19) With all the hub bub around it was easy for one of magnemite's friends to sneak in and begin pulling the fainted pokémon away. However, it didn't last long enough as Astrid's searching gaze would discover the pair of magnetic pokemon floating nearby. Upon being spotted the younger steel type panicked. The careful magnetic balance that connected it to its unconscious ally broke, producing a dull metallic clank that dissolved into all the noise of the tunnel. Shiny? FJMksCC41-421-42

"Hey! Wait!" Astrid exclaimed as she noticed the magnemite was trying to pull its fallen comrade with it, it looked rather peculiar as they didn't touch each other. By moving in vertical circles above it, it pulled the unconscious electric type over for floor a little by little. "You need to catch it Miss," a man said helpfully and when Astrid ignored him he added more condescending, "you just have to get a pokeball and hit the one which is knocked out." "I was not planning on catching it," Astrid snapped and flipped up her badge, which made him take a step back in surprise. "Really?" He said as she flipped it closed and put it back in her pocket. "And I prefer not to get disturbed unnecessarily," she said and grabbed her trolley to walk away from him. He looked at her skeptically but didn't dare the gamble that she really was an officer so he kept his mouth shot.
Astrid grabbed a pokeball wondering whom she should call out if necessary as she made her way over, and the magnemite who tried to save its friend got really busy in swirling around. "Hey lady, get it over with so we can get going!" Another woman called as she stomped her foot impatiently, she had several bags over her shoulder and clearly was out shopping. The magnemites were blocking the way into a handbag store and several customers was waiting in the door to get out. Astrid pulled out a pokeball, she would battle this one too and then take them to a more secluded spot to try ask them some questions, it was way too crowded here and every battle seemed to disrupt the shoppers. "At least they are not scared out of their minds," Astrid mumbled to herself and guessed it was pretty common down here with how many pokemon there were.
A shadow dropped from the ceiling and screams from fleeing spectators resounded through the tunnel. "Helen!" Astrid gasped as she recognized the big spider, who had attempted to drop right on top of the fleeing magnemites. Shadows moved around her and the magnets as the ariados tried to stop the two from fleeing, swirling like mist which seem to stick on the magnets. "Where did that one come from!" Astrid heard someone exclaim. "I don't care! Let's move! It's a spider and its big! Ugh, look at those legs!" Another answered clearly grossed out, and the area clearly thinned out quite a bit while the doors to the closest shops got closed, with clerks looking out the windows warily. There was still a smaller crowd who was watching intently, "I think it's with her," one voice said intrigued but the rest was lost to Astrid as it was too quiet. "Keep it under control Helen, I do hope they can answer some questions," Astrid called out and waited for her ariados did what she was good at, now her size really came in handy.

The Magnemite put up a great fight but it was no match against Helen. Helen used a powerful Night Shade attack, to which the Magnemite used a Thunder Wave to try and paralyze its opponent and slow her down. This didn't let Helen stop her, even as the paralysis tried to seize hold of her motor skills. She pushed through and managed another powerful Night Shade after the Magnemite fired off a pretty impressive Electro Ball at its opponent, knocking the little Pokemon out of the battle.

The battle was short and intense but Helen ended on top and as the professional she was, she quickly covered them in sticky webs to keep them in place. Now she really got to appreciate her new size as she simply grabbed them and lifted them off the floor to carry them to Astrid.
"See, that's how it should be done," the man who had mocked Astrid earlier commented but she still ignored him. "Well done Helen," the old woman said gratefully, "can you find Placido and bring him here? I think we will start here and see what these too can tell us." Helen put the two still unconscious magnemites in the ground in front of her and aimed her spinneret at the ceiling to shoot a string up there. She turned to climb it to the ceiling and scurried along that, making the spectators below point and stare at her, walking there upside down. "What, it's with you?" The man asked surprised and Astrid sent him a quick glance. "Yes, you did not see the IPF mark on her?" Astrid answered him dismissively but against her expectation it didn't make him quiet, instead he laughed. "No, I was way too impressed watching her battlestyle! You trained her to be able to do that?" He asked with clear admiration in his voice, which made Astrid look at him suspiciously. "We have worked together for some time yes," Astrid said and turned back to the magnemites who began to stir. "So you are really here on a mission and not just fooling around, wow," the man said with a laugh and Astrid got some ticks near her eye, wouldn't he ever shut up. "Hey, perhaps I can help! I know this area really well and since the shops are pretty protective of the wild pokemon, I can help with the contact there as well if needed. I have worked for all of them after all, so they know me," he said cheerfully and clapped his hands together as if eager to get to work. Astrid turned to face him fully, watching him through narrowed eyes. "Really? All of them? And why are you suddenly so helping?" she asked him warily and he grinned and shrugged. "I'm bored," he answered her last question first, "and perhaps not all of them, but most of them. They have all kicked me out, since I'm apparently not good at customer service," he added with a wink and Astrid stared at him with a raised eyebrow, that wouldn't surprise her at all. She sighed and her shoulder's slumped. "Alright then, but you have to do as I say as I cannot allow you to ruin this," she said defeated and he lightened up in disbelief. "Really?! I promise ma'am, I will not get in the way!" he looked like a five year old who has been told they were goin to raid a candy shop. "So, what is the mission?" He asked hopefully and Astrid let out Silvia before she answered, "I encountered some battling between a pair of magnemites but I think it was staged. They destroyed some merchandise in front of some shops and some of it might have been missing, but the clerks wasn't very helpful." "I'm not surprised, they are really protective of the wild pokemon after all. They are a good income for trainers to come down here, but they have all also been contacted by countless of trainers who try get them to agree the wild pokemon are a problem and get them to pay for the trainers to catch them," the main happily explained and Astrid blinked surprised. "Then their reaction makes sense," she commented and explained to Silvia what she wanted her to ask the two mangnemites. The man watched as the magnets became increasingly agitated but they couldn't do much in their web, Silvia turned to look at Astrid with a helpless look, making it clear she didn't have any luck. "We will wait for Helen and Placido to return and figure out what to do," Astrid decided and opened her trolley's build-in chair and sat down to wait.

The lights in the tunnel start to flicker on and off. Some strange and eerie noise can be heard coming further down the tunnel. Investigating it may seem to lead nowhere. But wait, what's this?! A strange tell-tale trail is leaks back and forth through the tunnel. Like...smoke? That appears and disappears as soon as you glance at it? When confronted, the smoke takes form into a floating ball of what looks like sentient gas. The Gastly is playing tricks on everyone in the tunnel! A Wild Gastly is playing tricks! [Level 18]

"Who are they?" The man asked curiously as he watched Astrid sitting down and the magnemites halfheartedly struggling against the web which Helen had left them in. "A couple of my pokemon, Helen is the ariados which you have already seen," Astrid said and the man made an oh sound as he realized what she was talking about. "If you are going to stick around, we better present ourselves," Astrid decided but still found it hard to relax around the man, "I am Astrid," she said and looked expectantly at the man. He half bowed, "I'm Xavier ma'am, and I do all I can to help you even though I can see you don't trust me yet," he said politely and Astrid looked away uncomfortably to hide her embarrassment. He hadn't hesitated with the name, so she doubted he had made it up.
"Oh no, not again!" Xavier complained and Astrid frowned and glanced at him. He wasn't looking at her though but further down the tunnel. She followed his gaze and saw a flicker of light in the darkness. Wait, darkness? This part of the tunnel was well lit and usually full of customers. "Is that smoke?" Astrid asked worried and pulled herself up standing, Silvia looked between the now very quiet magnemites and her trainer, unsure of what to do. "No, although I'd wish it was," Xavier said grimly, "It's a trouble maker even I can't compete with." People scattered and the few who had been around to watch the last battle the old woman had had, hurried away and the doors to the shops got closed. Not that it would help anything.
"A gastly!" Astrid exclaimed when she saw the gassy pokemon which floated towards them with an expectant look on its face. "Doesn't look like it is going to just fly past us," Astrid commented and clicked to enlarge a pokeball in her hand. "Nope! Certainly not," Xavier said cheerfully and Astrid shot him a suspiciously glance but his eyes were at the ghost which quickly came closer. She let out Yakul who snorted and stomped threateningly at the floating pokemon, while following its every move closely, always staying between it and her trainer. "Yakul, Razor Leaf should do it, and then send this at it," Astrid said as she pushed an empty pokeball at the skiddo's side. Xavier looked surprised but Yakul simply grabbed it with a vine and did as suggested, let the leaves cut through the air only to be followed by the pokeball a moment later.

Gastly tried to hypnotize Yakul, but the Grass type Pokemon easily broke through the sleepy-time eye mumbo-jumbo and unleashed a fury of leaves. Astrid's Pokeball, that Yakul had tossed, flew passed the Gastly, who easily floated out of the way and started laughing at the goat and its trainer. Gastly didn't seem discouraged at all by Yakul's warnings, it just continued forward grinning. "Careful, it has some tricks up its sleeve," Xavier whispered to Astrid but she didn't take her eyes off the ghost type, who had begun to move in a funny pattern, a lazy eight which was really hard to take your eyes off. "Yakul! Look away, stop it! It's trying to hypnotize you!" Astrid snapped as she forced her own eyes away and she scowled when she saw the blank look that her uninvited human companion had. "Xavier!" She snapped and he jumped startled. Well, at least it meant it was a name he was used to. He shook his head and yawned while he rubbed his eye. "What..?" He asked and blinked several times to get the sleep out of them. "It's using hypnosis, keep your eyes off it!" She said briskly and Xavier's mouth formed an "ooh", "what can you tell me about it?" "Oh, eh, let me see. I think there is only one and most of the time you don't see it. While other pokemon are welcome this one is the one they'd love to get rid of. You can't keep it out and it poisons and scares everyone it comes in contact with, usually it tries to engulf your head with itself, forcing you to breath its gases. Let me see, what else. It goes through windows, no I have said that already, ehm. It doesn't come around so often so I think it just does it to feed of fear or something? Doesn't ghost do that?" Xavier rambled off and scratched his neck nervously and tried to casually step behind Astrid to keep her between him and the ghost.. "I think that is about it, not much is known about it but its a nuisance whenever it arrives," He said and Astrid nodded while she rummaged through her trolley for another pokeball as the first one had clearly missed.
Yakul had tilted her head ever so slightly at the sight of gastly's movement but Astrid's warning pulled her out of it and she sent her leaves flying which forced the ghost to move and break its attempts. The skiddo sent the pokeball flying after her leaves but the gastly was quick at noticing the difference and moved ever so slightly when it came close and the ball disappeared in the darkness behind it. Yakul stomped frustrated and sent another array of leaves at her opponent, she would do anything in her power to keep it away.
Astrid picked up another pokemon and handed it wordlessly to Xavier, who took it confused. He swallowed nervously when Astrid's wish became clear to him as she pointed sternly at the ghost floating around. Xavier rolled the ball between his hands as he gathered the courage to throw it and risk attracting its attention.
