"Finally!" the blond fell onto the park bench exasperated. She made sure her coat tail was smooth beneath her rump before draping an arm over the public seating and relaxing against its back.
It felt like it had been an age since she put up that notice. The pitiful thing. A tiny scrap of a page jumbled amidst other stray postings within the Poké Centre. Her visage darkened at the memory of the strict Nurse Joy, though only momentarily as she noted a couple nearby walking one of the paths. As much of a rapid turn in her future her latest ventures had been, mixing with Team Rocket, she couldn't help but still feel satisfied with getting a bit of revenge on that over-positive hag.
She wasn't able to dwell on these thoughts long. Only a few minutes of waiting occurred before the promised figure entered the park. He stood out just as he described, bright and fiery. Lenore smirked, half a laugh escaping her, then stood and waved to the teen. She of course put on a welcoming smile and sweet voice to greet him.
"Hello!" she chimed, dropping a hand into the bottom flare of her extravagant apparel to pluck the pokémon of interest from her loop. "I'm Lenore, nice to meet you." The dancer's hand returned to view and presented the compressed greatball to Antonius. "You're interested in this fluffy cutie?" The mareep was released in a flash of light, bright eyed and fully poofed with her baby wool.
Lenore has presented Mareep (future Clingy) to Antonius
Lenore isn't quite what he expected. From her attire, he would bet she is some sort of performer or dancer. He sees the mareep appear in front of him. It is a small one but the poster did say freshly hatched. Anton pulls out his pokedex to scan it.
"I am Antonius, Anton for short to my friends. I favor fire types but also know the benefits of having electric types. I look forward to raising all sorts of Pokemon to learn about and love them.Gadget making is a side hobby of mine. Fire types are good for the creation process while electric are for the power source. I do have other types of Pokemon in order to study them and see what sort of gadgets would work on them. There might be a few gadgets for trainers as well to protect themselves during fights or other uses."
Anton digs into his pocket and pulls out his wallet. He knows this will be a worthy investment even if it takes most of his money. He hands it over to Lenore watching the mareep's reaction.
"By the way, the way you are dressed, it looks like you are some sort of dancer or performer. You sort of remind me of a friend I knew who went to Hoenn for the contests out there."
The longer the boy went on the less of the woman's attention he got. Her smile faded to a passive interest, head nodding along as he told her what seemed like his life story and future plans. She just didn't have the moxie today to cut him short. Instead she shifted her weight, rested an elbow in her free hand and just waited. The mareep didn't seem to have a care in the world. She was simply happy to be out and about.
When the wallet came out Lenore's interest was rejuvenated. Her posture opened up near immediately. Dainty hands reached out to accept the monetary compensation. "Well that all sounds fascinating, I'm sure this one's static will come in handy hun," she chirped sweetly as she counted the cash. With the amount confirmed she stuffed it into a side pocket of her bag.
"Oh, really?" She played innocent. "Well, I did grace quite a few stages around dancing some live performances. But a coordinator is actually what I've just moved my ambitions to."
"Your friend give you any tips?" inquired the blond playfully. As the turn of conversation shifted focus Lenore took the opportunity to proceed with the transfer of ownership for mareep then offered the electric sheep's greatball to Anton.
"No, all I know is she headed to Hoenn. From what she said, she believes contests started there and then moved over to Sinnoh where they were changed some. I apologize for boring you a little with my own interest. I get overexcited about my favorite types and hobbies."
Anton reaches out for the great ball and takes it. The mareep looks up to him particularly at the Pokeball. He then reaches out with his other hand and pets the mareep on the head.
"I hope you like the name Clingly, mareep. Electricity has a tendency to attract things to it especially cotton clothing."
"Thanks again for the purchase, Lenore. If you have another pokemon to purchase, let me know. I don't have the money now but still something to keep in mind. It would also be fun to battle just to see how I would do against a performer like yourself. I do like the outfit though. You probably already know this but keeping it clean and relatively in one piece is ideal."
(OOC: My end is done. Lenore can respond however she wants and then we call it finished.)
"Aw, too bad." She tried not to look too disappointed. "Oh don't you worry about it hun, maybe I'll see one of your gadgets in shops once you get famous," she teased, smiling broadly and giving him a bit of a wink. The woman watched quietly as he interacted with his new pokemon, something else obviously on her mind.
"Hah! You bet, I look forward to our next encounter." Her hands went behind her back as she leaned slightly in a playful posture. One knee bending to balance her foot on the tip. "And thank you!" she accepted the compliment graciously. "You don't lose that sense of flare either yah here?"
Lenore winked again before spinning around, allowing the flare of her feather laced jacket to twirl along with her, to part ways with the young trainer.
