Silver smirked when Yuki finally stopped his accusations and turned his attention to his pathetic bug type. Silver did not know what his zubat had said, but he guessed it had been something mean since the weedle's fighting spirit certainly dropped and it looked like it was going to run away. It was tempted to mock but Silver enjoyed the silence for now, a break from the empty accusations. He couldn't help but snicker at Yuki's harsh words to his own pokemon, sounded like they agreed on the last thing and Silver was certain that Yuki would give up on the bug soon enough. It was easy to see who had the winning spirit here and that might be what made the difference in the end. "Zubat, Astonish!" Silver ordered calmly, this would be over soon. He was right, just not in the way he had expected. Zubat flittered forward but due to the string shot earlier, it was not as fast as it could be, hindered as it was by the strings tying between its wings and body. It was an easy target for Weedle who at least wanted to give it one last shot, to try see if he couldn't get out of this weak state and turn out to actually be something worthwhile. The needles flew and hit the flying bat straight in the chest, and the bat plummeted to the ground unceremoniously and didn't get up again. Silver stared openmouthed but then his face contorted and he recalled his fainted pokemon. "You were lucky but that won't happen again, prepare to get burned!" Silver snarled and that was all his cyndaquil needed as cue. It leaped forward with fires on its bum, ready to take down anything Yuki would sent at it, it wanted to show what it got and get revenge on the humiliating defeat to Oasis last time they met. Weedle pulled through and grows +3 levels to [lvl 9]! He learned Bug Bite! But what is this? Weedle tries to evolve into a Kakuna! Will you allow it? If he evolves he will learn Harden.Oasis helped out and grows +1 level to [lvl 11] Silver is far from done, he sends out his level 12 Cyndaquil. Pokemon Notes: Weedle HP: 17/28 after level up, but before evolving. Oasis HP: 100%

Some would say his words to Weedle were harsh. This is true, but he didn’t care. Dancing around the topic or being too nice about it wasn’t gonna help him. Weedle was weak. That much was obvious. But the problem was more than just that. It’s his fear of literally everything. The other Pokemon, him, and anything bigger than it. All coming from its heritage as a small bug. But being a coward won’t fix any of that. So he made that known to his Pokémon.
It did wonders for both sides. Weedle pulled through and defeated the Zubat in amazing fashion and dealt another blow to Silver’s pride. No one like him wanted to be defeated by a tiny bug. Weedle’s resolve became strong enough that a bright light enveloped him. His form became more spherical, transforming into a Kakuna. It made Yuki go wide eye in surprise. Bug really do evolve that easily? ”Use bug bite to weaken it!” Yuki ordered as soon as Cyndaquil entered the battle. Now came the hard part.

Though Silver was a bit annoyed that Zubat had been defeated he still had his trusty Cyndaquil and unlike Zubat the fire type Pokemon had a bit more training. " Cyndaquil do not let me down. I do not wish to have to discipline two failure Pokemon on one day." He scoffed as the fire type Pokemon feared what Silver would do to it if it failed to impress him. As Kakuna was a bug type that was easy to burn Cyndaquil hoped that a single ember would be able to get the job done. " Enough wasting time, Cyndaquil use Ember on that pest and show this weakling what real power looks like." Within seconds a small ember sped towards Kakuna. The bug type tried to get out of the way however the poor bug type was too slow due to it's lack of limbs and in the blink of an eye it was lit up by the small ember. Against most Pokemon the attack would not be too devastating but against a Kakuna even a weak flame was enough to knock the bug type out. " To think that pathetic Zubat lost to such a weak bug. Great work Cyndaquil. You are far less useless than that rodent with wings." The young fire type sighed in relief as it had earned a reprieve from Silver's wrath. On the other hand the battle was not over yet as Yuki still had other Pokemon. " I do wonder what weakling you will send out next. Cyndaquil could use more training and against such weak Pokemon it should have no trouble getting stronger. I do hope that this is not all you can muster." Kakuna didn’t even get the chance to attack before a wad of fire engulfed him. The newly evolved Kakuna was stronger, but not strong enough to power through a fire attack. Especially not after taking a sizable beating. Yuki returned the downed Pokémon and tried to think about his next step. There wasn’t a single Pokémon who can stand up to Cyndaquil. Not even Bulbasaur, who is his strongest. He did have one idea, however. Yuki threw out his Cleffa and ordered her to use Tickle!

Silver is surprised at the new Pokemon his cyndaquil is facing. He can't remember the last time he faced such a Pokemon. It still looked weak so this one will still not be a challenge. "All right, cyndaquil, use a tackle on this one and see if we can knock it out like we have with the weakling bugs. I doubt this one will be much of a fight just like the trainer." The cyndaquil responds with a tackle with the full body to this new opponent. The cleffa rolls back from the hit and the cyndaquil gives chase. It then remembers the command the trainer gave and tickles the underside of cyndaquil with the small fingers trying to avoid the hotter part on the top of cyndaquil. This makes the cyndaquil walk back trying hard not to laugh. Silver looks at his Pokemon with confusion. "What...what did you do? This is no laughing matter, cyandaquil, so you need to straighten and finish this fight." The cyndaquil responds by taking a couple of deep breaths to regain composure. He stands next to Silver waiting for the next move to be called. He has no intentions of disappointing Silver. His trainer is right, this fight is no laughing matter. "I don't know what your plan is, trainer, but it will fail. You can't have anything strong enough to beat me if all I've seen is the best you got." His next few moves were going to be a gamble. Most of his Pokémon were rather weak, only able to take a hit from Cyndaquil or two at best. That’s only if he sticks with tackle. Ember will tear through them all without and trouble. But things weren’t over yet. His baby Pokémon’s tickle move broke Cyndaquil’s composure enough to leave its defenses lowered. If he uses this to his advantage and a leech seed, this battle could be his.
Yuki ordered for another tickle, but knew it most likely wouldn’t land. Cyndaquil is much faster and stronger. So if his current Pokémon went down, he’ll send out Oasis for a leech seed. That will be the biggest risk in his plan.

Silver laughed. "Cyndaquil, knock that thing out with your Ember attack. Lets not waste any more time with this battle." They said, sneering. "This isn't going to be like last time, kid. Cyndaquil knows what will happen if he loses again." The cyndaquil quickly got to work, and before Cleffa could even take a step forward, a blast of flames came from Cyndaquil's back, knocking the small pink pokemon over. "Hmph..." Silver said, watching his pokemon. "That ember looked kind of weak Cyndaquil. Can you work a little harder? This is training, not time to slack off. You need to get used to using that move as many times in a row as possible. Hey kid, do you have any more pokemon for Cyndaquil to train against? Maybe something actually strong?" Silver asked the trainer with a hint of arrogance. The cyndaquil was sweating at this point, the flames on its back still bright and strong, but with each ember, it seemed to tire itself out more and more. It seemed to have some experience battling, but this constant barrage of embers wasn't an attack strategy that the pokemon was used to. It panted, trying to catch its breath from the battle. It had performed well, and hopefully its master would appreciate their effort, but it seemed like if it had to keep using ember, all that was going to come out was smoke. Cleffa has been knocked out, what pokemon would you like to send in next? [Note: Running Shoes has already been used. This wasn’t going well. Yuki took in a breath as he returned his baby Pokemon. Getting knocked out like that wasn’t going to sit well with it. He reached for his pokeball, where Oasis rested. It’s not a good match up.
One or two ember attacks will be enough to take her down. Fire does play well with grass. What can he do to help? An idea soon came to him. ”Is that all your Pokémon can do?” Yuki sent out his Bulbasaur as he asked the question. ”You’ve only fired off embers this whole battle. It’s making me wonder if your Cyndaquil’s body is weak. Does it not know a simple tackle attack?” Now he just needs to see if he takes the bait!
”Bulbasaur! Use your Leech seed attack!”

It was an unlucky time that Yuki had run into this rival, Silver had the advantage and Yuki hadn't had time to train many of his pokemon so they were a bit outmatched by his energetic cyndaquil. You can't win all battles and every trainer would need to learn how to handle losing some here and there. Of course it would be enjoyable to be the one who got to teach that to someone like Silver. The redhead rolled his eyes, "are your memory so bad you have already forgotten that Cyndaquil tackled your cleffa? And almost took it out in one go as well," he scoffed and crossed his arms. "Ember is its strongest attack, but with that bunch you have there it won't learn anything from this, other than all your team is pathetic," Silver mused as he took the bait. "Your pokemon are so useless an ember is wasted on them," he mocked with a smirk. "Cyndaquil, knock that houseplant out with Tackle," Silver ordered bored and waved dismissively with a hand. Cynda! Cyndaquil shouted eagerly and fired up its back as usual, before it pelted forward and slammed into Oasis, he easily endured and with it so close he couldn't miss with his seeds. Cyndaquil shook annoyed as the seeds sucked some of it energy, Silver didn't look worried at all. With how weak Yuki's team had been until now, he couldn't imagine that it should be anything else with the bulbasaur, Yuki hadn't even really used him against Zubat. Silver Battle Weather: Temperate (Clear) / Night [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Cyndaquil LV 12 HP 89% [31/35]

”Did he? I don’t really remember.” He tilted his head and picked his ear. ”I think she was more tired than anything. The battle wasn’t her cup of tea.” His act paid off. Cyndaquil tackled at Bulbasaur rather than use his ember attack. The result is little damage being done and the same getting healed by leech seed. Now he just need to keep it up.
”Here. I’ll show you how it’s done. Bulbasaur! Tackle attack!” The green frog Pokemon rushed at the fire mouse and slammed into its side. Considering what happened last battle, Bulbasaur had a fair shot. But that’s only if they kept using tackle against each other. Will Silver keep falling for the taunt?

Silver gritted his teeth as he watched the seeds bury into the echidna’s furry hide. How was such a pathetic plant Pokemon managing to get the best of his fire type? They were superior in every way to plant types, so it made little sense to Silver how his opponent could easily manage to overtake the battlefield with such a simple move. The worst of it was the fact that Yuki’s Pokemon didn’t even look like it had endured a single scratch from Cyndaquil when his Pokemon rammed Oasis with his Tackle. “We’ve wasted enough time, Cyndaquil. Use your Smokescreen so that this walking bulb can’t keep hitting us so easily!” Silver instructed in a gruff, annoyed tone. Cyndaquil shot long flames out of his back and stood on his hind legs to ball his small front paws into tiny fists. If his trainer was sure of the move, then the trained echidna knew that he had better do his best to perform under pressure. He shot out a thick slimy sludgy-like mixture at Bulbasaur that managed to hit Oasis across her eyes and compromised her vision. She struggled through the smokey screen that covered her face, turning this way and that to try and find her opponent, and charged in random directions at first as she chased after Cyndaquil. “Looks like your plant has lost its senses.” Silver jeered and pointed with a smirk covering his mouth. “She sure was tired, huh? From our strong attacks.” He continued firmly, not giving an inch in edgeway with the conversation. All that mattered was that Silver’s Pokemon were strong enough to prove themselves. He would do what it took to become one of the strongest trainers around, and eventually a champion as well. With this attack, it shouldn’t take too much to turn the tide back in Silver’s favor. Silver Battle Weather: Temperate (Clear) / Night [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Cyndaquil LV 12 HP 57% [20/35]

The smoke coming from Cyndaquil’s mouth made his eyes go wide with shock. Remembrance followed after. Smokescreen. A move Yuki completely forgot about until now. The fire mouse used it in their previous battle. A hinderance, but not a complete ace in the hole.
”Bulbasaur! Remain calm! Don’t blindly rush around! I want you to listen for Cyndaquil and pin point him.” Saying all of this in front of Silver probably wasn’t the best idea. But it’s not like there’s another way of conveying the message. He just needed to trust in his partner to do this. ”When you feel confident, tackle attack!” The grass frog nodded and did her best to listen for her opponent. If she manages to find them, she’ll rush for him with a full body tackle.

"Gotten into trouble already? Can't handle a little smoke?" Silver mocked, "but what else could you expect from such weak trainer with such pathetic weak pokemon."He knew very well that he could have beaten Oasis by now with an Ember or two, and probably the rest of the team too as what he had seen of them until now hadn't been impressive at all. It was actually rather embarrassing that his zubat hadn't been able to handle it on its own, as while it was weak itself this team of pokemon was a laughing stock in Silver's opinion. "Tackle again huh? You prefer us to use moves you know I can see, probably got nothing else than that," He scoffed and looked closer at the bulbasaur. She looked annoyingly energetic still even after some attacks, he longed to burn her and see her crumble to his powerful pokemon but he didn't need that to win. "Leer Cyndaquil," he ordered, his fire mouse didn't do as much damage as he could have wished, but he of course had also mostly trained its embers, as it was its most effective move. Cyndaquil called its name and narrowed its eyes at the bulbasaur, which made it easy for the grass dinosaur to pinpoint her opponent and she rammed into it a moment later. Silver frowned as his cyndaquil did not look as well as he'd expect, perhaps he had miscalculated and his fire type would not have enough time to finish it the old fashion way? Yuki didn’t show it, but he started to get worried. What if Bulbasaur couldn’t finish this fight? Silver was right about one thing, despite all his cruel taunting. His team wasn’t very strong. All of them would be taken out by a single ember attack. Especially his second three bugs. Kakuna was the only evolved Pokémon and looked what happened. It wasn’t a contest. It’s why he baited Silver to only use tackle. ”It’s all I need to take you out.” The only thing Bulbasaur had to take him out too. How much longer can leech seed help tip the scales?
”Don’t let up. We can win this. Tackle attack! Full force!” Bulbasaur got into a low stance and rushed at Cyndaquil. Smoke got into her eyes, but she tried to blink it out in time. She can see how fatigued Cyndaquil is from the fight. If this attack landed, she’s confident they’ll win! That’ll show Silver’s smug face!

The battle had really begun to drag out, both for Yuki and for Silva. Things had turned around with the emergence of Oasis into the battle, with Cyndaquil being slowly worn down by the plant-dinosaur. Even with his type advantage and Cyndaquil's advantage in terms of experience, if Silver weren't so arrogant he might have seen the writing on the wall here. He was going to lose, even if only by a hair. But Silver was too inside of his own head and had his head firmly planted somewhere unpleasant, so he was unable to see that. "Cyndaquil, burn that toad away!" he commanded, a bitter and angry tone in his voice. Cyndaquil nodded, summoning up its back flames as it released a flurry of flaming embers at the Bulbasaur. Oasis couldn't dodge out of the way in time, too committed to carrying out the Tackle ordered by its Trainer, and closed its eyes as the embers struck its body. Between the smoke in its eyes and the pain of being pelted by a storm of small flames, one would be forgiven for assuming that Oasis would fail in her attack. That this would be it, and Silver would claim victory after all. However, Cyndaquil was also unable to dodge in time. Oasis, head down and body charging at full speed, slammed into the body of the Fire Rat. Cyndaquil felt the wind get knocked out of it as the world began to fade. With the seeds still sapping its stregnth as it fell back, the Cyndaquil's body went limp as it fell into unconsciousness. Silver paused, waiting for his Pokemon to get up, only to realize the sad truth. Cyndaquil was beaten; Silver recalled the rodent into its ball and fished out a wad of money, Yuki's earnings for the encounter. Rather than handing them to the young man, Silver instead tossed the wad of money onto the ground. "Useless rodent, we have a lot of training ahead if you can't even beat some overgrown cabbage."Just like that, too consumed by his own anger and frustration to even acknowledge Yuki or Oasis, Silver turned on his heel and stomped away. Yuki and his Pokemon could now take a moment to lick their wounds and recover from the rather heated battle, as well as a chance to count out their winnings.
Silver begrudgingly gave Yuki £600 for winning! Oasis pulled out a victory and gained +3 levels! Oasis is now Level 14! Oasis learned Razor Leaf!
