ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Day
The small girl’s eyes bore into Zaiden’s soul as they stared at him with wide, horrified eyes. He frowned, not sure how to handle the weight of this rejection and turned his attention to his battling grass-type whose disadvantage must have been obvious to any normal contestant and tried to focus on the mission at hand. How could he manage to help see his Pokemon through victory during such a wild and unpredictable moment? Yasei was new – new to Zaiden and new to the team. He was some latent prize that had been tossed at him during a marathon race and now needed the mousy brown haired teenager’s guidance so that he could become stronger.
The sheep stomped its heels into the ground and glared at its avian counterpart as it soared through the air. “Are ya just going to give me dirty looks up there? Won’t you run with me?” The goat called out to the pink-winged bird. In truth, he just wanted to keep moving. It was a driving inner need that pulled at him from the inside, eating him up every second that he kept still. “Come on, I promise I’ll be a lot of fun to chase!” Yasei turned around and tore off through the forested region on the top of his hooves.
“You are becoming like a thorn in my side, kid!” The feathered opponent cawed loudly, before swooping through the air and diving between large openings in the canopies to give chase. Yasei laughed, kicking up his heels as he leaped over a large azalea bush. The edge of his bright orange hoof caught on of the small, tiny budding flowers and nipped the corner of the plant. The small pink bud drifted haphazardly to the floor. As the Separow rounded the edge and swooped down lower to try and keep up with Yasei, the large branch that Yasei’s heel had caught swung back and barely missed the bird.
The pink-winged bird squawked out in surprise and anger, caught off-guard by the foliage’s ‘attack’, and swooped back up high into the airways above the canopy of trees to try and survey the land. “That was a dirty trick!” It called out, swooping down from the tip of one tree to the next, as it searched heatedly for the small brown goat with his bright green necklace of leaves. “I will make you pay!” Yasei laughed, turning his head sideways just enough to look behind him, though he couldn’t spot his opponent. Blinded temporarily by the need to see the Spearow’s face, Yasei lost sight of his path and came crashing into a small, thorny bush. The thin, spindly branches seemed to reach out as they wrapped around Yasei’s horns and pulled him into their depths.
Yasei yanked and tugged his head this way and that as he tried to free himself from the plant’s grasps. The brown-feathered avian nodded approvingly when he finally spotted his opponent and lifted himself up high in the air, before dive-bombing through the trees after Yasei. “I’ve got you now, and I will make you pay!” Yasei bellowed at the top of his lungs and kicked out in large leaps as he tried and struggled in vain to free himself. “I just wanted to play, you stupid bird! Is everything always so serious to you?!” He snorted.
Meanwhile, Zaiden surfed through his backpack as he shuffled around for something to help his fallen comrade. Yasei was a calculated distraction, but he wanted to bring the hot-headed fireball back to life and switch them out around in the heat of the battle. He couldn’t be sure how long the plant-based goat would last against its avian combatant. After some time searching through his bag, the chocolate-eyed young lad managed to gently touch the corner of a small, diamond-shaped object. Ecstatic, the boy began flinging his arms wildly around the bag until he was able to fully grasp the medicine in his hands.
“Mister…? What are your plans? We need you, mister, to save my family. Are you a hero or not?” Zaiden froze as his hands held the small, yellow diamond in its palms. He stared down at the young girl with concern and worry. Disappointment…was that all he amounted to in the end? He hadn’t even properly considered the girl’s offer and didn’t want this level of responsibility thrust onto his shoulders. He was just a teen, after all. He wasn’t meant to carry the weight of the world on his back. Just to save his parent’s home. He shook his head and slowly stood up as he turned away from the small girl and recalled his fainted Pokemon out of its Pokeball to give it the Revive.
The Magby sprung back to life and pumped her hands up enthusiastically in the air. “Oh, that was a doozy! Owch, that bird smarted! I’m back, where’s my opponent?!” Zaiden turned back to the girl and knelt down on one knee. He grabbed one of her hands gently with his left hand and tilted her head up to wipe away the young child’s tears with his right hand. “So…so you mean…you mean, you can’t…save my mommy and daddy??” She cried. He nodded his head firmly, smiling down at the hazel-eyed girl, in a silent promise. Then, Zaiden pulled her into a soft and warm hug, though gentle to its touch in case the young girl tried to pull away, and let her cry in his chest.
OOC: Zaiden uses Revive on Takibi (who participated before fainting). Self-deducted.

ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Day
A gentle breeze billowed through the canopies, shifting the evergreen leaves on their extended branches in different directions. The skies peaked through the patchwork openings in the canopies’ ensnaring vines from up above. A thin white sheet of cirrocumulus clouds flooded over the body of the heavens above, cut into small, rippled bits. The sun’s warm hues washed over their whitened textures, brightening, and darkening some in an assortment of yellows, oranges, and reds. It was a world of in-between – where diurnal creatures would eventually trade in time out in the open with nocturnal Pokemon. Yasei kicked his legs up high into the air enthusiastically as he bellowed at the top of his lungs!
The young and rather inexperienced shaggy brown goat had won his first battle against the fearsome bird. He leaped from one hoof to the other, twisting his body in odd manners as though he were dancing. “Wow! I must be the fastest, huh?!” He called out loud. Yasei’s dark black pupils widened with excitement, catching a bit of the sun’s rays as they reflected in his gaze. Zaiden stood still, frozen in anticipation, nervousness, and anxiety. The crying child needed his comfort – something that felt completely unlike the mousy brown-haired boy entirely. At the same time, the teenage trainer wanted to rush over to his overly excitable goat and congratulate it on such a tough-fought battle. Frozen with indecision, he held the girl carefully in a warm embrace and began to gently pat her back.
He pulled back as she slowly began to quell her tears. The small lass tilted her head up and stared with bright, widened eyes in wonder and worry. Her lips trembled as she tried to form coherent words to voice the thoughts that raced through her head. Zaiden watched the girl fidget as she stood there and tilted his head slightly, concerned and confused. He observed the small child reach up and grip her hair with her hands and tug at it nervously. “I’m not…a hero…” The nearly silent lad spoke, before standing up straight and turning to face the direction the girl was previously leading him in. “But I’ll help.” He promised. The young lad’s eyebrows scrunched up in a serious expression as his lips furrowed, digging deep trenches on the sides of his face. What on earth was happening to this young girl’s parents? Was she stranded? And if so…would it be up to him to find a rescue unit that could take in an abandoned child?
As Zaiden stretched out a hand for the small child, she would eagerly grip it and begin tugging on it as hard as she could as she raced off in a set direction. Shocked and surprised, Zaiden’s knees nearly buckled underneath him as he tried to keep up. It was a strange, almost gangly expression, to see the lad try to immediately jump into a full sprint unknowingly, as he tried to keep up with the small girl’s fast pace. Eventually, he would slow a bit, giving a tug back to remind her to travel more carefully while traversing down the route. Zaiden’s eyes searched for signs of danger. His warm chocolate gaze washed over the canopies, slipped down to the bushy tangle of vines that ensnared the wild shrubs, and trickled through the swaying, snow-covered grasses.
A sound would catch his ears that cause the lad to stop. The young girl stopped dead in her tracks as Zaiden instructed her to be still. “WHAT’S WRONG?!” The curly-haired child screamed at the top of her lungs, before hopping defensively behind the taller trainer’s back. Zaiden stood in front of her reflectively and raised one hand up to place a solitary finger against his lips in a shushing motion towards the small girl, before turning his attention to a thick bed of tall wheatgrass that stood nearly to Zaiden’s torso. A flurry of ruffled, muffled sounds cascaded from the tall grasses as they buckled and swayed in different directions. Loud, raucous cawing echoed from inside of the tall wheatgrass, causing the boy to tense up apprehensively as he tried to determine the best course of action.
Zaiden called the small green bird out of her Pokeball and handed Ray over to the small girl. He would motion for the two of them to stay put near the bed of grass, but out of the way of danger. Zaiden would snap his fingers and whistle until he could get his rushing, energetic goat to slow himself down to a complete stop and motion for Yasei to stand beside the child and protect her, as well. Then, he would return his attention back to the strange noises inside of the tall blades of grass.
As Zaiden parted the tall grasses back in different directions so that he could crouch down inside of them for cover and snuck closer to the source, he would notice a flock of familiar, brown-feathered birds picking at the ground on the other side of the tall grasses. Some of the Pidgey would scratch at the ground with their sharp talons, while others pecked at the dirt and tugged long, green bodies up to swallow down their gullets. Zaiden’s eyes widened hopefully as he tried to carefully crawl out of the grass slow enough that he hopefully wouldn’t startle all of them away.
OOC: Zaiden uses Pokeradar to spot a flock of Pidgey, please!
Additional Notes: Pulling Babiri Berry from Yuki, Persim Berry from Yamori, Charti Berry from Promise, Passho Berry from Kogasu, Wacan Berry from Uroko, Pecha Berry from Longgui, Cheri Berry from Baunsu, and Kasib Berry from Ray. Transferring all the mentioned berries to Mishu’s Inventory.

A few of the pidgey started flying away as they noticed the tall grass rustling, but two remained, not willing to give up this patch of dirt as they pulled up tiny buried grubs from the ground with their sharp beaks. Seeing Zaiden, they aggressively flap their wings toward him, attempting to shoo him from their feeding grounds. Two pidgey are ready to fight you off so they can keep eating! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Day
The small child would gently stroke the bright green bird as she stood where Zaiden had instructed her to wait. She watched as a flurry of wings took to the skies. Small, brown birds flew off in different directions, darting far away from where the mousy brown haired lad had spooked them out of their feeding grounds. She squealed at the top of her lungs and tugged the small Natu tight against her chest as she stared, wide-eyed and fearful, at the flock of wild Pidgey that flew off into the distance. Natu bristled up as it rolled an eye to stare curiously at the child. She may eventually leave me too, but there’s no reason I can’t protect her… Ray thought to herself. She fluffed up her feathers and flapped her short multicolored wings defensively. “Watch the kid!” She squawked towards the flock of tiny birds in warning.
Zaiden reached inside of his belt and pulled out two small white balls with red tops and a small, white button carefully carved into their centers. The teenage trainer would gently press the center button in each of the Pokeballs and toss them up into the air to summon his Pokemon. Two bright red beams of light shot forth and began to fill out the silhouette of two very distinct looking Pokemon. One was the lively and motivated head salamander whose fluffy head crest swayed back and forth as she juggled herself from one foot to the next. The second was a prim and proper rabbit, who carefully pulled on each of her ears, cleaning them and inspecting them for the slightest signs of debris. “ALRIGHT!” Takibi roared excitedly at the top of her lungs and pumped a fist in the air. “We have NEW opponents to face!” She turned her attention to the fluffy-tailed brown-and-cream colored rabbit.
“Uhm.” The Buneary scoffed, kicking one of her feet against the ground before turning away from the match and waving one of her hands as if to shoo them both away. “You have new opponents to face.” She announced in a very to-do and ‘that’s that’ kind of tone. She carried on cleaning her ears carefully, pulling out tiny bits of debris as she could find it and pull it out of her fur. She still hadn’t felt fully clean from her last match and she was nowhere near ready to face a whole new match against even more opponents that could put her at risk of dirtying her fur.
“Oh, come OFF of it Miss Priss!” Takibi scooped up a wad of dirt in her hands and tossed it at her teammate, hitting the small brown rabbit square in its back. Tsusagi puffed up almost like a balloon and spun around on one heel to face off angrily at her teammate. “You did NOT just get me dirty! YOU’LL PAY!” She would race off through the grass in hot pursuit as Takibi led her towards her opponent. When the rabbit leaped up to try and catch the small red salamander and pound her half-to-death with her paws, Takibi would leap out of the way so that the rabbit was flung in the direction of their enemies with her attack.
“You gotta catch me first, Miss Priss!” She smirked, and spun back around to face off with the brown feathered birds. She puffed up her cheeks and fired a high-powered ball of fire at the small Pidgey, aiming to scorch its feathers right off of its body. “Now to take care of you two! Sorry about my prissy friend she’s uh…pretty special, if you get me.” She scoffed as she tried to excuse Tsusagi’s weird and unusual behavior.
OOC: Tsusagi uses Pound on Level 7 Pidgey; Takibi uses Ember on Level 6 Pidgey.
Note: Please use Mod multiplier on Tsusagi when battle ends.

“You are on our feeding grounds!” The larger Pidgey cawed loudly. It lifted its long, brown feathered wings and began to beat them together as it hopped on its feet and kicked itself up in the air. The wild tiny bird only saw the adversaries as trespassers – a couple of Pokemon that did not belong in their territory and that might try to steal away their grub should the birds’ turn their heads away for a second. “Prepare yourself for your judgement! None may enter our domain and leave in one piece!” It huffed, puffing up its chest feathers as it soared up high in the air and prepared to dive down after its opponents.
The smaller Pidgey puffed up and hopped about from one of its clawed feet to the other. As Takibi leaped after it, swinging her short arms playfully, it would flap its short brown wings and lift itself to soar just over the small beaked salamander. “We will chase you out!” It chirped loudly, slapping its tongue against the inner walls of its salmon pink beak as it spat at the two Pokemon on the ground. “You and your prissy friend!” A wind of dirt stirred up into the air and spun in tiny clouds, causing the small Buneary’s cream-colored feet to darken and change into as more dusty color. Tsusagi narrowed her eyes and used her brown paws to puff up her thick, fluffy midsection as she leaped and jumped angrily in random directions.
“MY FURRR!” Tsusagi wailed. She kicked and screamed and chased after the small Pidgey, swinging her arms wildly in different directions. Tsusagi would hop up onto large ledges and bounce over atop overturned tree trunks as she gave chase. She would show this useless and stupid bird to ruin her fur! She would show them all why they couldn’t get away with dirtying her beautiful coat! “I’m going to CLOBBER YOU, STUPID BIRD!” She screeched at the top of her voice. Takibi shook her head and laughed as she ran after her friend and the smaller Pidgey with great haste.
“You’ve all gone and done it now!” The yellow beaked salamander commented at the top of her voice. She would rush through the tall, snow-covered grasses as she tried to keep up with her bouncy friend and airborne combatants. Takibi would slow down to stop in front of the large, overturned tree trunk. She swung her arms back and forth as she prepared herself, then jumped up. Takibi’s arms swung up and grasped at the bark of the felled tree and she kicked with her back feet, clawing her way up onto the large mass. “Little miss bunny rabbit’s gunna get you!” She laughed, before taking aim and firing a powerful ball of fire at the small Pidgey.
Tsusagi glared and crossed her arms over her chest as she turned on her battling companion. “You’re NO different! You’re over here tryin’ to egg me on in the fight…and now look at me! I’m all dirty and messy!” She huffed and used her paws to pull at her fur and highlight the discoloration and distortion that the dirt and debris had caused. Takibi smiled sheepishly and fought back the urge to laugh and shrugged to their opponents as the two birds swooped down after their opponents. “Ughh…we have bigger problems right now, princess!” She commented with a ‘duh’ expression.
OOC: Tsusagi uses Pound on Level 6 Pidgey; Takibi uses Ember on Level 6 Pidgey. IF Level 6 Pidgey faints, I would like to throw a Pokeball at Level 7 Pidgey after.

ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Day
The fluffy brown rabbit didn’t listen to her partner in the heat of the battle. Though Zaiden held his hands up high and tried to instruct his Pokemon to attack by shaping them into fists that he struck out in the air randomly, she hadn’t even noticed the lad trying to give her instructions. She turned around and curled up into a tight ball as she tried to clean her fur. Tsusagi pulled out bits of broken twigs and patted away the grit and dirt that clung between the thick, curly fluffs of fur and darkened her usually creamy colored hide into a dustier appearance. “I’m dirty! So very, very dirty! There’s no way I can be this dirty! EWWWWWW!”
The Pidgeys soared up high overhead. One seemed to cringe from the pain as Takibi’s burn seared its flesh and feathers. It would flap its feathers desperately as it tried to remain airborne, though the pain caused it to pause randomly and tumble lower to the ground each time. The larger Pidgey’s eyes widened in alarm, and it soared over to its friend, trying to lift its head up and help it remain airborne. “Are you alright, my friend?!” The smaller one feigned a tiny smile and nodded its head, before collapsing and spiraling to the ground once more. It would catch itself just above the tall grasses of Route 29, and hover on its wings in the air. “I will manage! We must teach these kids a lesson about messing with our…” The Pidgey shook its head as it stumbled on its words and had to focus its thoughts through the pain. “our…feeding grounds! Look at them – one is so scared, she curled up into a tiny ball! And the other looks like she’s –“
“Looks like she’s? WHAT, YA BURNED BIRD!” Takibi snapped and raized one of her clawed hands up into the air to wave it angrily at the smaller Pidgey. She rushed off through the tall grasses and jumped after the smaller Pidgey, wanting to knock it down and pulverize it into the ground as her blood boiled from its conversation. The smaller bird would dart back up into the air and maintain a safe distance from the yellow beaked, red salamander. Takibi would land on the ground empty-handed and ball her fists up to continuously wave them threateningly at the two birds. “Come down here and say it to my face! Even if precious princess won’t help, I can take you both on by myself!” She huffed and puffed.
“I’ll be right with you once I’m done cleaning my fur! Look at it…oh, it’s a mess. An absolutely mess! I’ll never get all this dirt out!” Tsusagi spat into her hands and rubbed them together, before brushing it through her fur much like a cat. Her wide eyes were wet in their corners as tears threatened to break over the barrier and spill down from her cheeks. Takibi shook her head and let out a loud, audible sigh. “Why bother…why? Why do I even bother?” She muttered to herself and turned her attention back to the two airborne Pidgey. She then shot another large ball of flaming embers at the small Pidgey once more, hoping to knock it out of the skies for good.
OOC: Tsusagi uses Defense Curl. Takibi uses Ember on Level 6 Pidgey. If Level 6 Pidgey faints, please use Pokeball on the remaining Level 7 Pidgey after.
Note: Please use Mod multiplier on Tsusagi when battle ends.

ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Night
The mousy-haired lad walked over to the Pokeball and picked it up off the ground. He carefully dusted off the dirt and debris as he stared at the small, red-and-white spherical device before it teleported off towards the Professor’s Lab. The small child walked up slowly after him while her wide hazel eyes scanned the area carefully for any sign of danger. “That was an amazing fight! Your Pokemon really know what they’re doing!” She piped up, seemingly no longer scared or afraid. Zaiden tilted his head and spun around on his heels to face off with the small lass, scrunching his face up in a deep scowl.
Didn’t he ask this young girl to wait for him on the other side of the thick wheatgrasses? What was she doing, dawdling off on her own to go investigate the matter that Zaiden had already managed to handle on his own? This is why he didn’t care as much for small children – that, and their questions and naturally verbose nature. He just didn’t know how to interact all that well with them… The mousy brown haired lad snapped his fingers and lifted his hand up in a ‘stop’ motion, getting the girl to immediately stop in her tracks and squeal out. “Oh! What is it?! Is it another dangerous Pokemon?!” She jumped and swiveled her head back and forth, before darting behind Zaiden’s back.
He grumbled and shook his head as he placed his palm on his forehead. The setting sun had already sunken behind the horizon line, leaving only the moon and the stars to shine in the night sky. Thick, dark, billowy clouds obfuscated the large round moon as they slide around its domain, leaving only parts of the celestial body to shine down and shimmer in the night sky. Zaiden reached out to the small girl and motioned for her to lead him on. “I knew you were a hero! You just don’t believe in yourself, do you? Well, that’s ok! Every hero needs a sidekick, right? So, I’ll be your sidekick! Whadd’ya say?! You’re gunna save my mommy and daddy from the evil clutches of…” The small girl shivered and immediately fell silent. Something had seemed to stop her dead in her tracks.
Zaiden tightened his grip on her hand, careful not to squeeze too tightly. He pulled her behind him and stood tall and posed, ready for anything that might jump at them. The tall grasses buckled and swayed in front of them as a loud hooting sound rose up from their depths. Zaiden’s eyes narrowed suspiciously, and he tapped the small girl’s shoulders, instructing her to back up with him. He would slowly begin to creep closer to the grasses as he crouched down carefully. Zaiden moved slowly and deliberately, making sure to make as little sound as possible as he crawled steadily closer to the obscured creature that lurked within the tall grasses. The small lass cowered off close to the base of a large oak tree and watched fearfully as Zaiden worked his way and investigated the strange sound.

The grasses waved in the gentle breeze which was chilly, spring had barely gotten a grip of the area and winter could easily return. Flowers had taken the chance and had sprouted all over the place, their small heads poking up above the grass to get what little sun and warmth there was, and attract pollinators. Now, they were closed for the night to protect their fragile insides against the cold. The strange sounds turned out to be a hoothoot, it didn't hoot per so, although it did made plenty of happy sounds as it tramped around in the flower filled grass, scratching up the dirt and breaking stems with its flapping wings. Its movements was distinguished happy and it had a few flowers in its beak which it waved around, its singing chirplike hooting muffled by them. Hoothoot [LV 5] has appeared! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Night
The mousy-haired boy’s eyes widened with excitement as he noticed the happy-go-lucky Hoothoot playing in the field of sleeping flowers. Zaiden’s expressive chocolate brown eyes searched around the open route carefully and quietly until they landed on his familiar rotund furry brown rabbit with it’s long, dark-brown ears and cream-colored circular chest markings. He snapped his fingers to signal its attention, causing the skittish Pokemon’s ears to stand up in alarm and its small, beady dark-colored eyes to widen timidly. He nodded towards the small brown feathered owl.
Baunsu froze and folded his ears at either side of his head. The small rabbit began to shake his head back and forth vigorously for a second, outright refusing his trainer’s orders. “I don’t have a death wish!” The chattered at the top of his lungs, alerting the feathery brown owl, who flapped its wings and soared up to a large branch in a nearby tree and tilted its head curiously at the cowering lad and his nervous Pokemon companion. “What do we have here? A trainer?” It shivered and shook, hopping from one of its four-clawed feet to the other, exchanging which one it would stand on at a time. “You thought you would catch me? Not today, strangers!” It chirruped and trumpeted at the top of his voice.
A familiar and bubbly blue turtle with a large brown shell and softer cream-colored underside waddled up to Baunsu and prodded the other Pokemon with his hands. “Be brave, my companion!” Longgui tried to encourage the other Pokemon. Baunsu dug his feet into the ground, but it wasn’t enough to outpower the determined blue turtle. Longgui pressed both of his hands on the square of Baunsu’s back and shoved the Pokemon out into the small clearing of sleeping wildflowers to face off with the equally sized owl. Baunsu shivered, lowering himself to the ground. “I DON’T WANT TO FIGHT!” Baunsu roared at the top of his lungs, then turned to the feathery bird in the trees up above. “And I don’t like heights…” He whispered to himself, shaking his head determinedly.
The Hoothoot hopped about on the branch and flapped its wings excitedly as it began to turn around. “That’s good!” The wild bird called out to the skittish rabbit in response to Baunsu’s nervous words. “I don’t want to fight either! And I don’t want to be owned! So with that, I think I’ll take my leave now!” It began to flap its wings as hard and fast as it could as it lifted itself up into the air. The small Sentret’s wide eyes studied the wild owl carefully, though he kept himself firmly pressed against the ground as the short grasses tickled the underside of his belly. Could he really trust that this wild Hoothoot would not attack him and try to take him out with a powerful move?
Zaiden began shifting and searching through the bag until his hands landed on a small yellow, black, and white Pokeball with a large red ‘v’ painted on the top of its dome. He carefully pulled it out of his backpack and pressed the button in its center. The young teenage trainer would chuck the empty level ball at the wild Pokemon, hoping to zap it up inside of the device and easily catch the Hoothoot before it had the chance to escape. Baunsu shivered and waited, both for Zaiden to give him a command to attack and for the Hoothoot to make good on his promise to shove off somewhere else in the distance. When the Level ball soared past him and after the retreating owl, Baunsu leaped up onto his back paws and began to clap his hands together excitedly. I won’t have to battle! He sighed with relief!
OOC: Sending Baunsu out and tossing my only Level Ball at Hoothoot! Self-updating the ball deduction.

ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Night
The small lass clapped her hands together, excited that her ‘hero’ had won another battle. She pressed herself against his leg and pointed a solitary finger in a fixed direction. He glanced down at her, pulling himself away from the hazel-eyed child’s grasp, and walked over to collect his newly caught owl. The mousy brown haired teenager stared carefully at the spherical device with a soft smile on his lips and watched it slowly disappear as it teleported off to the Professor’s Lab. So many Pokemon, so little time to spend with them all… What was life like at the lab for Pokemon? Did they just wait in a field somewhere for their trainer’s eventual return?
The brown-haired lass ran up to Zaiden and immediately clasped his hands in her own. “C’mon, hero!” She protested at the top of her lungs as she tugged against the large lad’s strength with all of her might. The small child dug her heels into the ground as she did so. “We need your help. Remember?” Zaiden gulped and nodded his head deafly as he turned to follow her through the forested region. Thick bushes swelled up on their pathway and stretched their long, ensnaring vines out after the small lass and Zaiden. Zaiden immediately blocked her, pressing the small child behind him as he would cut the thicker vines away to create gaps large enough for them to traverse down.
What does she need my help with? Zaiden’s mind began to race, though the words seemed to stick to the back of his throat. I can’t be a hero. I can’t even help my parents keep their shop or their home. I’m virtually useless. Whatever she wants me to help them face…I doubt I can help them at all! The thoughts raced through his mind as they walked slowly through the forested route. When the small lass tugged on his arms and pointed down a new direction, Zaiden turned with her. Two large trees marked the new path, with one snapped in half up higher than either of them could climb and pinned against the other tree from being able to fall to the ground below. “We’re almost there…”
“Uh..” Zaiden reached to the back of his neck and scratched nervously. The small lass froze in her footsteps and spun around, shocked to hear her mostly silent hero find words to speak with. So, he could talk after all! “Yes, hero?! Don’t worry, I know the way! We just need your help defeating the scary monster that’s been terrorizing our homes!” She piped up, her eyes lighting up with hope and excitement. “You…will still help, won’t you…?” She tilted her head and asked softly. Zaiden could only nod as the words immediately left him.
A rustle in the nearby bushes caught them both off guard. Zaiden crouched down and motioned for the small child to stand behind him so that he could protect her. He carefully shuffled between his Pokemon that he had on hand and pulled out a small red-and-white Pokeball. He clutched the Pokeball defensively in his hand with one finger hovering over the small white button that was etched in its center as he began walking towards the shaking bush and pulled back the long, thin prickly branches to try to reveal the hidden mystery beyond its depths. As soon as Zaiden thought he had seen the strange face of a red-eyed furry brown buck-toothed rodent chittering away nervously at him, the teenage trainer pressed the button on the Pokeball and released his brave turtle.
OOC: Requesting Patrat encounter, please. ^^
