The Patrat leapt from the bush, trying to make itself look larger than it was as it hissed at Zaiden and the little girl. It swiped at Lóngguī as he was released from his Pokeball, but it was too far away for it to connect, it was just a warning swipe, trying to get them to leave it alone. The bright blue turtle with his tough brown carapace leaped from his Pokeball and stood defiantly between the furry brown rodent and his trainer. Lóngguī's bright reddish-brown eyes stayed glued on his opponent and narrowed with a suspicious gaze. The small brown rodent pressed its body flat against the earthen ground and backed up so that only its large head poked out from the thorny bushes. Its eyes were narrowed down suspiciously on its enemy and its tail shot out with its fur bristled and standing on their ends. It chattered nervously, pinning its ears against its head, and hissed a warning at the bright blue Squirtle.
“This is my home!” The Patrat declared as it stomped one of its paws against the earth and dug into the ground with its sharp claws. “Leave me alone! You’re not wanted here!” Lóngguī stood still as he sized up his opponents and waved his short, thick arms at his side. His eyes glanced around the area carefully and he mentally noted the obstacles that could stand in his way in the heart of a battle. “My trainer has called me out to fi-!” But the Patrat leaped forward, swiping the air in front of the blue turtle’s face aggressively in warning. “I don’t care what your trainer wants! I said LEAVE!” It hissed once more and pressed itself further into the face of the earth while slowly backing up into the bush.
Zaiden’s eyes widened with enthusiastic excitement. He pulled out his small red electronic device and flipped it open. A small blue keypad sat on one side of the device, and a large screen with buttons located just underneath sat on the other side as he opened the Pokedex. With a press of a button, Zaiden pointed it directly at the Patrat, hoping to gain more knowledge and understanding on this strange creature. He had never seen anything like it in his entire life. What type of Pokemon was it? Did it know really strong moves?! “Patrat, the Scout Pokemon. They are extremely cautious. One of them will always be on the lookout, but it won’t notice a foe coming from behind.” He carefully read over the rest of the details, noting that were normal types and how they were originally discovered in Unova.
After scanning the Pokemon, Zaiden would carefully close his device and place it back up. He whistled to Lóngguī, who turned around and stared at Zaiden with wide and curious eyes. The bright blue turtle seemingly waited for his instructions, while remaining on his toes and ever-vigilant against his opponent. Zaiden used his hands to demonstrate one of his fists ramming forward in the air, signaling for the water-type Pokemon to Tackle his opponent. Lóngguī blinked slowly and placed one of his clawed fingers against the side of his face as he stared at Zaiden with some confusion. Did his trainer seriously think that Tackle would be a better choice than his powerful Water Gun? Since neither moved seemed to be surprisingly more effective in this fight, Lóngguī would have naturally assumed that Water Gun would be the more impressive move out of the two.
With a careful nod, Lóngguī spun back around on his feet and faced off against the Patrat. He backed up just a bit to give himself enough room. In an instance, the other Pokemon sprinted to its feet and began racing through the undergrowth. It ducked underneath a large opening of an overturned tree and scrambled on top of a large stump, before darting through a thicket of long wheatgrass. Lóngguī growled and charged after the other Pokemon, aiming to tackle the wild rodent and keep it from escaping his clutches. “You can’t run from this battle!” Lóngguī snapped in warning. The Patrat just laughed, “Watch me!”
OOC: Lóngguī uses Tackle.

The patrat ran as quickly as it could through the grass, but Lóngguī was faster, and tackled the Patrat causing it to stumble forward. The patrat almost seemed like it had expected to get hit, but annoyed, it scrambled back up to its feet and charged back at the squirtle, tackling it back! ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Night
The two Pokemon seemed to scuffle about in the tall grass. Long, thin strands of bright green leaves shook and shivered as the bright blue turtle rolled around with the rich brown rodent. The long, tiny white and pink dots decorated hardier stalks of grass that rose up in clusters of five to seven in a round formation. When Lóngguī toppled over them as the Patrat’s Tackle knocked him backwards, their stalks would bend until they broke, smashing the remaining flowers against the ground and tearing bits of the petals to string them all about.
Lóngguī hopped up on his two feet and balled his small hands up into a tight fist. He smirked, spinning around to face the Patrat, and wiped away a bead of sweat with his fist. The night air was a soft, gentle breeze that could barely be felt as it trickled across the ground. The round full moon shimmered in the backdrop of the purplish night sky with its soft yellowish-white glow. “You can’t run away from a Pokemon battle!” Lóngguī commented once more, his voice swelling up in the pit of his chest. He felt alive! He was enthusiastic about stopping the other Pokemon from darting off through forested region.
The Patrat stood still and motionless for a second. It’s hypnotic red-and-yellow ringed eyes locked on the bright blue turtle with his large brown carapace and creamy-yellow plastron. It twitched its tiny snout and wrinkled up its lips as its large, strikingly white bucktooth stuck out just underneath its top lip. The hairs on the wild Pokemon quivered for a second, then its lowered itself back down on all fours and immediately spun around on the top of its feet. Within seconds, the wild Patrat darted back through the thick overgrowth of the forest. It’s feet worked fast, toppling wildflowers, and ripping up long blades of bright green grass in its wake. Lóngguī hissed and crouched down, then sped off after its opponent as fast as his short feet would maneuver his thick-framed hide through the region.
He darted in between a large root that rose up out of the ground and curved back around, pushing its way back into the earthen ground. It carved out a small hole underneath itself, though thick, sharp thorny vines jutted out all around the root, with only this root creating safe passage underneath them. Lóngguī cried out loudly, the sounds of his frustration and anger boiling over in his tongue as his shell seemed stuck between the root and he wiggled back and forth, trying to free himself with very little success. “I’m stuck!” Lóngguī cried. “This can’t be right! You can’t escape a battle, Patrat! I won’t let you! Fight like a Pokemon, don’t cower away like scared puppy!” His voice echoed around him as he tried to convince his opponent to face him properly.
Zaiden’s warm brown eyes widened in dismay as he watched his battling turtle try to free himself from the large root he had tried to crawl underneath. His hands rose up to his face as his mouth fell open in a shocked expression. What should he do now?? The Pokemon he had just found was nearly gone as its tiny paws scurried through the tall grasses and wild weeds, and his fighter had gotten himself stuck with no way to free himself in time to catch up to the wild Patrat. The small girl tugged quietly on Zaiden’s shirt and pointed to the shuffling of grass where the furry brown rodent was darting away. “Yay! The scary beaver is running away!” She naïvely commented and clapped her hands excitedly.
Zaiden heaved a heavy sigh and yanked his backpack around to the front of his side. The small child tilted her head as her eyes darted to Lóngguī with a confused expression. “Hero…aren’t you gunna help your Pokemon? Don’t all heros take care of their Pokemon? And isn’t yours stuck??” Her voice rose up into a sharp shrill as fear and terror seemed to decorate her bright hazel eyes. She just couldn’t understand why Zaiden was so fixated on the scary bucktoothed rodent, and why he had seemingly turned a blind eye to his struggle turtle. Zaiden managed to pull out a small Pokeball and tossed it at the running Patrat as he tried to capture it before it could gain too much ground between them. May this work in time! He thought to himself anxiously.

ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Day
Zaiden walked over to his small blue turtle. Lóngguī's long, fluffy blue tail stuck out high in the air from the other side of the root. It wiggled back and forth as the small Pokemon tried to pull himself out of his own predicament. Claws scraped against the rough bark of the rooted tree and dug into the soft earthen ground, kicking up bits of debris and long blades of bright green grass in their wake. Lóngguī cried out loudly as he grunted and growled, wriggling to free himself. The mousy-brown haired lad shook his head silently as a few of his longer bangs slipped over his face and halfway covered one of his eyes. What a strange predicament to watch his Pokemon in. Did the Squirtle underestimate where he could actually fit in?
Zaiden knelt on the ground as the bubbly young lass with long, southern bell curls came bounding up next to him. Her wide eyes like saucepans stared at the teenage trainer and the struggle turtle carefully. Mimicking Zaiden’s pose, the small lass crouched down on her knees and examined the situation carefully. “How’re we gunna…get him out?” Her voice bubbled up inquisitively as she turned her blazing stare to burn in Zaiden’s direction. He could feel the fierce intensity from her gaze dig deeply into his soul, though he did not bat an eye in her direction. Instead, the strange young lad stayed trained and focused on the task at hand. He pointed to his small turtle, highlighting the legs and feet of his Pokemon, then the shell. He then used his hands to illustrate how he would carefully pull on the exposed part of Lóngguī's shell while she helped with his feet.
“So…” The bubbly little girl’s voice inquired as it tried to understand what Zaiden was telling her. She tilted her head and sized up the situation carefully, though the sharp claws of the small aquatic Pokemon scared her tremendously. She trembled a bit and stumbled in her crouched positioned. The girl would catch herself, though, before falling and carefully right herself back up before nodding her head. “We’re gunna pull him out?” Zaiden turned his rich brown eyes to burn directly into the small girl’s curious hazel eyes and nodded firmly. They both grabbed the struggling Pokemon and pulled on Lóngguī's shell and legs, wriggling him this way and that, until the Pokemon popped free on their side of the large root.
Lóngguī jumped up and down excitedly. “I’m free! Yes! Now, where’s that bubbling little rodent?!” His head turned this way and that, with one fist raised triumphantly in the air, as he searched through the tall grasses and large bushes in the forested route. Lóngguī raced off, darting throughout the area, and disappeared into the terrain and reappeared several times, until he finally gave up all together. “That coward must have fled off. Drats! There’s no honor in running away!” The Squirtle snapped his clawed fingers and fell on his butt next to a large oak tree to sit.
The girl applauded loudly and jumped up and down excitedly. “Yay, yay, yay!” She cheered at the top of her lungs, screaming so loudly that her voice cracked a bit. “We did it! We freed your Pokemon! Now, can you help our village, PLEAASSEE! There’s a big scary bird that’s terrorizing our home! We’re sure it’s the one causing all the fires around our village! Please, mister, please! We really need your help!” She pleaded. Unable to turn down the request, Zaiden only nodded firmly and waved for the girl to lead him on. He began following her as the sun rose up over the canopy of trees, beckoning in a new day.
OOC: On the search for the SOS Pokemon! RNG please. <3 Longgui also forget Tail Whip and learns Rapid Spin. Self-updating.

ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Day
Zaiden tried to picture himself as a hero. He recalled all of the fairytale books that his mom used to read to him when he was a very small child. The hero always seemed to show up in the nick of time and they seemed to know exactly what to do. In contrast, Zaiden was very unsure of himself or his own skills. The small lass carried on and described the damages that this mysterious fire Pokemon had caused, and it caused a strange sort of chill to run down the base of Zaiden’s spine. He nodded deafly as he marched forward, using his rough hands to push away thick vines and pull back prickly branches to help them walk further along their trail.
Another sound caught his attention. Zaiden stopped and the small child immediately jumped up and rushed behind the stronger and more solid young lad. She trembled as she gripped the back of Zaiden’s thick, dark blue denim jeans. “We must be close now.” The young lass muttered underneath her breath and poked her head slightly around Zaiden’s side. “It couldn’t be the firebird, could it??” She gulped, and shook her head defensively. Though, as they watched the small Pidgey flip around in the skies, both Zaiden and the small child seemed to relax.
Zaiden was well aware of the Pidgey and its species by now. Having caught them twice, and experienced them many times along this route, the bird didn’t seem to unnerve him nearly as badly when it carried on above them dramatically so. It swooped up in long loops, before diving down from the heavens above only to stop mere seconds from the ground below and spiral back up to the white puffy clouds above. The way the brown bird danced on the gentle breeze above was mesmerizing, and for a second even Zaiden was caught staring dumbfoundedly at the Pokemon as it swooped about through the air. When it chirped, seemingly inviting them along, Zaiden dug around in his backpack as he searched for one of his Pokemon to take the bird on in a battle.
Zaiden called out his hyperactive goat, who shot out like a bolt of lightning from his Pokeball. The shaggy brown goat with a strikingly bright white mask over its face and around its hooves bleated loudly as he stomped his bright orange hooves into the earthen ground. He bounded up in large jumps into the air and raced around the tall pine trees of the forested route, hopping over large bramble bushes, and ducking swiftly between tight corners. Zaiden shook his head and growled underneath his breath. The mousy-brown haired lad raised two fingers up to his mouth and whistled for his Pokemon, trying to call it back to the fight at hand.
The wild bird seemed delightled and chirped in a loud shrill before soaring up high into the air and glancing around to spot the wily goat. The small child jumped up and began rummaging through Zaiden’s bag. “Oh!” She exclaimed, pulling out a small red-and-white device with her tiny hands. “I got this!” She then hurled the empty Pokeball at the wild Pidgey with all of her strength, trying to be as much of a help as she possibly could for her hero. Zaiden jumped back and waved his hands dramatically at her, snatching his bag away from her and quickly zipping his back up as he watched the Pokeball soar up high into the air after the wild Pokemon. He didn’t need another Pidgey! He reached out one hand dumbly and grasped at the air itself as he watched the Pokeball spiral towards the feathered avian.
OOC: Sending out Yasei and using one Pokeball. Self-deducting. Should reflect 8 after self-deduction.

ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Day
The hyperactive goat kicked his feet up into the air as he raced across the ground. The young lad could hear the sounds of Yasei’s bright orange hooves as they thumped across the earth, softened only be the thick tangle of wild grasses that swelled up in clumps throughout the region. A flash of brown and green surged past the young lad’s gaze in different directions. Zaiden sighed and placed his fingers on his temples as he drew in a deep breath of air. Now he had two Pidgey, when he didn’t need the extra Pidgey. What was he going to do with this extra bird? The small lass jumped up and down excitedly. She clapped her short hands with their tiny fingers together as she cheered herself on. “I caught a Pokemon!” Zaiden glanced up and relaxed himself as he watched the small girl carry on in her amusement. What did it feel like to catch your very first Pokemon? Zaiden closed his eyes for a brief moment and thought back to the first time he started his journey, with his verbose Charmander at his side. Excitement. Adrenaline surged through his veins and pumped like a loudspeaker inside of him. The momentum and thrill of that very moment when he hurled the small Pokeball at the wild Sentret and watched as it scooped the Pokemon inside, only to fall on the ground and wiggle back and forth dramatically.
Zaiden walked over to the Pokeball and picked it up off of the ground. He cradled it for a moment in his hands, calling the bird out for a second to pluck the small fruit that it had tucked underneath its wings. A bright red light enveloped the small bird, pulling it back inside of the Pokeball once more. Zaiden then turned around on the tips of his heels and walked over to the small lass, reaching out to extend the Pokeball to her. The small child stopped jumped around and spun to look up at Zaiden with confusion in her gaze. “I caught the Pokemon…are you giving it to me?” She asked curiously. Her hands began to shake as she reached out and gently clasped the Pokeball in both hands to stare down at it. She gulped, her lips faltering as they twitched indecisively at their corners.
Zaiden nodded her head firmly and waved his hands towards the young girl. “It’s yours.” He added when he felt her gaze burn inside of his skull with even more questions that threatened to break off of her quivering lips. “You caught it.” It didn’t seem to matter to the teenager that the Pokeball she had used was his. In Zaiden’s mind, this catch meant so much more to her than it did to him. Tears welled up in the corners of her eyes and the hazel-eyed child threw herself into Zaiden’s side as she wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace. “Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!” She squealed at the top of her lungs, rubbing her face back and forth against Zaiden’s shirt to wipe away the tears of joy that leaked down her face. “I promise to take good care of it!”
The small child eventually pulled back from the large lad and stared down at the Pokeball in her hands in silent curiosity. Zaiden watched as she studied her new friend for a second, then released it with a click of a button. It was cute to watch her slowly introduce herself to the Pidgey, offering the once wild bird her arm to perch on. The dull brown Pokemon soared up to a nearby tree and watched the small lass for hours, only slowly learning to trust the young girl with time. Eventually, the Pidgey would settle on the small girl’s arm and brush up against the nape of her neck as it chirped cheerfully. “I think I’ll name you…hmm….Plucky! Yeah! Do you like that name? Plucky?” Zaiden tapped the small girl on her shoulder and pointed in the direction of their path, signaling their need to keep moving and to hopefully find this illusive and dangerous Pokemon that was terrorizing her village.
OOC: Taking the Mago Berry off Pidgey and then moving it to Mishu's Inventory. Also, Zaiden is then giving the NPC girl the Pidgey, so won't be adding it to Zaiden's Box / Collection. (Effectively letting it be 'free' again).

While pidgey was getting content living with a human, others were not. A spearow which had passed just as the more docile brown bird had decided to try get a bit closer to the girl and see if it could trust her, had landed in a tree and watched scowling. It didn't do anything before Pidgey had decided to accept her and snuggle up against her neck, but then it began to call down to it and berate it for giving up its freedom and dignity. ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Day
Zaiden shielded his eyes from the blazing sun above as he searched through the canopy of trees. A loud squawking sound caught his attention, though he couldn’t seem to find where it was coming from. The gentle breeze that sifted through the land shook the long, tangling branches of the wide oaks and tall pines, causing them to waver back and forth. Each time that the colorful feathered opponent chirped loudly, the young teenager’s rich brown eyes surfed through the lobed and thin needle-like green leaves of the different surrounded trees. A flash of pink and brown soared up into the air, before darting over into a huge magnolia tree whose bright white flowers decorated its high tops as it blossomed in the bright spring weather.
“What are you doing with that human?!” The Spearow called out as it catcalled to the other Pokemon. It couldn’t quite understand the notion of taking to a trainer. This young Pidgey would have had so much potential! Especially, since the other human had released it from its spherical imprisonment. “Why are you even staying with them?! Get up and fly away! Save your dignity as a wild bird Pokemon!” It scoffed, before diving up high into the air and chirping at the top of its lungs as it glared down at the small Pidgey. The young bird spun around on its trainer’s shoulder and shot the wilder bird a nasty look. It fluffed up its feathers and fanned its wings aggressively, hopping back and forth from one foot to the other. “This young girl is my trainer!” It shot back angrily, shaking its head at the other Pokemon before taking off into the airways. “She cares a lot about me! It’s none of your business what I’m doing with my trainer!” Plucky roared in a shrill chirp.
The two soared after each other in a high-speed chase. Though, the pink-winged Spearow managed to throw in the first strike, ramming the other bird with its sharp beak and knocking the young Pidgey out of the skies. The small bird spiraled down like a bullet surging to the ground below as it folded up its wings in defeat from one quick Peck of the wild Spearow’s beak. “You’ll never be strong with a human! You’re a weakling, and you’ll always be a weakling!” The Spearow cawed, stretching out its wings defiantly, then proceeded to chase after the fainted bird’s plummeting body with its sharp talons stretched out menacingly. “You’re nothing without a human! You don’t deserve a savior! You’re half of what a real bird Pokemon is!” It would snatch up the body and carry it over to a nearby tree, blocking the small girl every time she tried to recall her Pokemon. “I’ve a whole army to teach you why you’re nothing and why these humans are nothing, too!”
“PLUCKY!” The small girl screamed at the top of her lungs. She pulled out Plucky’s red-and-white Pokeball and hit the buttons several times, trying to recall her friend back inside of its Pokeball. Though, every time the bright red beam shot out from the Pokeball, the wild Spearow’s wing would raise up and seemingly slap the beam away, blocking the hazel-eyed child from recalling her friend. “NOOO! PLUCKY!! PLEASE, PLUCKY, GET UP!” The small child’s voice cracked as tears rushed down both sides of her face and dripped onto the ground below her feet. “PLEASE, PLUCKY! YOU MEAN SPEAROW!” She began searching around frantically for a large rock and picked it up in her hands.
Zaiden grabbed her hand and shook his head as she pulled it back, ready to fling the large rock at the wild bird. He then quickly searched through his own Pokemon and pulled out a small red-and-white Pokeball. With the flick of a wrist, Zaiden summoned out his fiery hot salamander from its Pokeball. Takibi shot out from the bright orb and began jumping up and down excitedly on her clawed feet, digging each of their long, sharp nails into the ground. She wagged her whole body back and forth as if she were stretching and glanced around the area with great interest. “What are we up against now?” Her voice called with great enthusiasm. Zaiden snapped his fingers, getting her attention, and pointed to the wild bird in the sky. The small Magby nodded defensively as her trainer pulled the small crying child into a warming embrace and let her cry on his chest. “So you’re my target, huh?! You think you’re big and bad too, I bet! Try and find me!” She called out as she released a thick cloud of black smoke that swallowed up the entire area in an instance. Then, the small red Pokemon would began running through the tall grasses inside of the cloud of black smoke, searching until she found the right spot to target her opponent, and spit flaming globs of small fireballs at the wild Spearow.

The spearow turned from where it loomed over Plucky to glare disdainfully at Takibi. It scoffed and then leaped at her, ignoring the smoke which it flew straight through as if its wasn't there to give the magby a taste of its sharp beak. ZAIDEN KABILA Aspiring Champion Bike Mode: ON | Time: Day
The small girl stared with saucer-sized eyes as the two Pokemon battled each other fiercely. She clung to the large rock she had found and quietly began to stroke it’s rough edges with her fingertips. The small child’s body trembled as fear gnawed away at her, though she could not find words to bring the fears to life in words. She only stared at the battle before them as tears welled up in the corner of her eyes and share stared at her resting Plucky that was too weak to defend itself any further. “Oh please, Plucky…” She murmured underneath her breath, more to herself and to anyone else. “Please hang on until I can get you back…”
Zaiden pulled her close as he wrapped her in a loose hug. It was awkward watching the small girl face such a tough situation. He had a hard time internally juggling his emotions. He felt angry at the Spearow for taking the small girl’s Pokemon away and keeping her from recalling the bird. Zaiden was also struck with fear of what might happen if his Pokemon didn’t win the fight. The bitter taste of doubt clung to the back of his throat like a sickness he couldn’t seem to shake off. He snapped his fingers, determined to test the bird, and recalled Takibi back to his side. Then, the mousy brown haired lad would pull out another Pokeball and call out his brave blue turtle with the click of a button.
The bushy-tailed turtle shot out of a beam of bright red light and leaped in front of his opponent. “Hello there, fine feathered friend!” Lóngguī called out to the brown feathered avian. The blue turtle would stick out his left arm straight out and used his right arm to cup it and pull it across his body, then do the same with his right arms. He would then stretch out his legs as he bent each of them one at a time, preparing himself for the eventual fight. “Are you my…” His voice trailed off and the smile that the brave turtle had once plastered across his face soon dropped when he caught sight of the crying child. After searching through the dense forested route, it didn’t take Lóngguī long to find the reason for her tears. “You fiend! I’ll make you pay!” He roared at the tip of his tongue. What sort of cruel Pokemon would do such a heinous thing to another Pokemon – and hurt an innocent child like that?!
The wild sparrow soared wildly overhead. It would zip through the canopy on its fast wings, all the while keeping itself in between the trainer and her Pokemon as it cawed bravely at its opponent. “This Pokemon has forsaken its true nature! It has forsaken its bird companions! Partnering with a human?!” It laughed as it spat the words at the bushy-tailed Squirtle. It seemed to swoop repeatedly at the other Pokemon, dive-bombing it from the air, as it challenged Lóngguī. “I have nothing to pay for. I am only teaching this half a bird a lesson – nothing more and nothing less. What should I have to pay for?” The Spearow challenged Lóngguī, who only glared back and responded through gritted teeth, “For hurting the young child and refusing to let your defeated opponent return back to its trainer.”
OOC: Switching Takibi out with Longgui. Would also like to use Adrenaline Orb, if I'm able (since switching out and using a move wouldn't require running shoes, I would like to use an item in place of the move bit considering I used up my running shoes. )

The sprearow would growl more threats and insults at Lónggui and Plucky before it dived to use it's strong beak on all the soft spots it could find on the squirtle. As a strange orb came flying it batted it away like it had done with the beams of the pokeballs, this orb was different and exploded with a flash and a lot of smoke. The shock from the unexpected result made the spearow nervous and it cawed loudly until one of its kin arrived to join it.
