Since it is October First, I thought I would open up a thread where we could discuss our favorite movies that we like to watch around Halloween. Also related are favorite Horror Movies or Suspense movies - as often, a lot of people like to watch Horror movies and the like around Halloween, too. <3
Specifically speaking, my favorite Halloween movie would be The Nightmare Before Christmas. xD I'm sure it's going to be everyone else, too, probably. But it's a good classic! I'm not sure if I have a favorite Horror movie but I have a lot of them that I like. ^^ Including Hannibal Rising, Halloween, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Candyman (new one isn't bad either!), and the first like 3 Saw movies. xD
The one thing I'll ask is if you discuss any horror movies in-depth that are relatively new (<6 months old) please include spoilers around any content that could be "spoiled" for others, just in case anyone was still planning on watching it. And of course, make sure all details and such fit ZZ's policies.

My favorite Halloween movies are Hocus Pocus, Bettlejuice, and all of the Halloweentown movies! <3 I'm not really into horror movies to be honest. xD

Hocus Pocus, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, and Gremlins are the ones I usually watch. Hocus Pocus would bw my top pick as I actually got to go to Salem for my 21st birthday and see a number of places they filmed at while I was there. The hotel we stayed at was a block or two away from where thy filmed the bus scene. That area looks quite a bit different now. Max's House looks nearly identical as do most of the other buildings from the movie. Sadly the Sanderson house was on a studio lot and not a real building but the village in the beginning was filmed at a local park with a recreation of Salem Village called Pioneer Village. It is really cool to see if you have a chance. They were closed when we went but we could see the village through the fence. I would love to go back someday.
