Penumbra Hills
Penumbra Hills is named after the long, winding hills that caress the estates’ landscape. Many of the hills are very steep and have ledges that may require a certain level of difficulty safely climbing or navigating around. Penumbra Hills is decorated with large, thick trees that block most pathways around the hill site. Smaller trees shoot up between otherwise easily navigable passageways and requires Pokemon who are skilled in cutting down the smaller trees to safely work your way around. There is a 1 in 10 chance of running into smaller trees that will completely block your path and prevent you for journeying further through the estates, without a Pokemon that knows cut.
The wild Pokemon that inhabit the estates have a hospitable ecosystem within its walls. They comprise of canid and avian creatures who often seek out the smaller reptiles, rodents, and insects as prey. There are often field researchers who will come out and study the Pokemon in their native environment, to gain a better understanding of the delicate and natural balance between the species. This space is open to the public and trainers are encouraged to battle and capture wild Pokemon that they may find within Penumbra Hills. The first encounter does not run the risk of being blocked by a cuttable tree, but every subsequent encounter will be checked first for a cuttable tree blocking your path. Should you run into a tree and you don't have a Pokemon on your team who can cut it down, you will have to end your adventure and wait 1 week before you can try again.
