Haunted Hallways
The main building of the Mountainside Complex is a shell of its former glory. Many of the windows are broken and boarded up, hallways are filled with debris, doors are either boarded up or blocked by debris or stone from collapsed walls or even parts of the ceiling. It's dilapidated and a severe health risk. Surely that means there's lots to find here?
The Pokemon that wander the Hallways, while wild, are hell bent on scaring away anyone they come across. When walking through the Hallways, with every new 'square' of the floorplan you move to, there is a 1/3 chance for an encounter. This is not the case for backtracking if you go down a dead end.
But you must use caution, as there are two Pokemon, one for each floor, that patrols the area. Trained by the inhabitants to stop any trespassers, by any means necessary, they will hunt you down until you leave their domain. If they find you, they will demand a fight. If you manage to win, they will leave you alone to wander as you please, but if they win. Well, if they win they will take some of your money total to hand over to their trainers, and transport you back outside the building. You can certainly try it again, if you think you can win the second time. Is it worth another attempt?
While this area does not require the Fog Badge to enter, if you do not have it when you do enter, the levels of the wild Pokemon will be +5 to +10 of your total party average and cannot be caught. The two Boss Pokemon will be at set levels detailed below.
If you do have the Fog Badge, the levels of the wild Pokemon will be -1 to +7 of your total party average, and will be capturable. The two Boss Pokemon will then have levels based on team average, detailed below.
While this area does not require the Rising Badge to enter, if you do not have it when you do enter, the levels of the Boss Trainer will be at set levels detailed below.
If you do have the Rising Badge, the levels of the Boss Trainer will then be based on team average, detailed below.
If you are a Rocket member, you will be given instructions on how to get through the building and to the top floor quickly, meaning you will encounter less Pokemon along your way, unless you dawdle of course. The Boss Pokemon will not battle you, but may try to bother you or demand a treat or two for good behaviour.
The First Floor - Sub Area
The only entrance into the building is from the stone Walkways. The only unbarred door leads to a room with a hole in the floor, the only door opposite it is clearly blocked. Are you brave enough to climb, or even jump, down and try and find your way through? If you do attempt to navigate the Hallways, a veritable maze of dead ends and blocked doors greets you. Most of the blockages seem natural, but some also seem man made. Perhaps you're trying to be dissuaded?

The Second Floor - Sub Area
Congratulations, you found the ladder leading to the second floor, but now you have to do it all again. Oh no! But this time it's a lot more perilous. There's less blockages up here, but the floors are a lot more unstable, you'll need to be careful and step lightly if you don't want to fall right through. All Pokemon that are land based* will take a -2 penalty to Speed while on this floor.

The Third Floor - Boss Area (Non Rocket Members Only)
You made it to the top floor!! Congratulations, you've stumbled into the lions den. Whoops. Once you get to the top of the ladder, you quickly realise this was a mistake. You're suddenly face to face with a very angry member of Team Rocket, a large metal door behind them. Before you have the chance to flee, they battle you!
If you win the battle, the Team Rocket member will begrudgingly let you be, without any more Pokemon to bother you with. But you can't go far. The only way forward is through a metal door with no lock, just an electric lock that requires a passcode. No matter how many times you ask the Rocket member, they will not give it up. They learnt their lesson the last time. Bummer, looks like there wasn't anything fun up here after all. At least nothing you can get to.
If you lose the battle, the Team Rocket member will nab some of your money and take your strongest/rarest Pokemon*. They'll then promptly throw you out of the building. But not from the top floor, don't worry. If you go back through the building and reach the top again, the Rocket member is gone. Perhaps there's another way into the room, or maybe there's another building somewhere? Surely there must be a way for you to get your Pokemon back!
*This will only be in effect while you're in the Estate, you are free to use this Pokemon outside of the Estate. You can leave the Estate to re-arrange your team, but you will only be able to re-enter with 5 Pokemon instead of 6. If you have a Pokemon taken in this way, you can continue through the Estate to get them back.
