The Walrein-like man with the cigar behind the cashier who had been methodically riffling through the morning papers was jolted out of his deep concentration on an article about some political scandalsbetween Sinnoh and Fiore delegates at the latest Battle Frontier meeting when his first customer of the day made to walk through those doors and request an item. He raised an eyebrow at the trainer as though to confirm this order was all before rolling his eyes just the slightest and getting up from his seat with the paper tucked under his arm to head towards the appropriate shelf. Taking out a single Ultra ball from the stack, he waddled back to the counter with a huff and dumped the single item into a small paper bag which he handed over to the boy.
"One Ultra Ball huh kid? That'll be £425 including tax. No haggling." He said curtly, adjusting his nametag which read 'Russo' as he counted the money given to him carefully and haphazardly stored it in the cash register before tearing off the receipt and handing it to the customer.
"Have a nice day."
As the boy left, he shrugged and went back to his paper without too much thought. The day was too early for him to take his job seriously anyway, as he sipped through some coffee and mumbled,
Barely ten minutes had passed as the shopkeeper for today finally made himself comfortable and began to scan the obituary section of the newspaper, partly surprised that the old fart who led them greenhorn trainers on city 'tours' hadn't kicked the bucket just yet. Some people had all the luck.
Then the door made to swing open again and old Russo let out a light 'tcch!' when he realized after five seconds that it was the same boy from before. Well, he knew the kid would be back for something else anyway--no one who wasn't an idiot came into this store with a single item on mind.
The kid's question gained him a withering stare from the curmudgeonly cashier who eased himself out of the seat and cricked the sores out of his back before moving out from behind the counter into the nearby stockroom.
When he reappeared, it was with a massive box filled with Ultra Balls which he heaved roughly onto the counter top. A few of the balls spilled out of the open cardboard container, but he didn't really care about that at the moment.
"Kid, this here's a Pokemart. We open seven to eleven, seven days o' that week 'cept for Sunday mass. We don't do no haggling, don't sell liquor to anyone under 18 and most of all, don't go out of stock." He said gruffly as he drummed his fingers on the table and subconsciously stroked his mustache.
"These here all Ultra Balls. Pick to yer heart's desire."
The person working the register this day was a perky young girl, probably just around the tender age of 20, who was chewing a wad of gum in an obnoxious manner. Occasionally she would startle the quiet customers perusing the shop by blowing, and consequently popping, bubbles.
Teeth gnashing overtime to soften the wad of chewable material, she barely noticed the boy approach the counter and request some items. Although she did shoot a nasty look at his Charmander, as if it were a filthy beast.
Pushing strands of black hair from her face, she peered at the boy as if he were some odd looking bug and sighed. As she bent down to collect his items, her name tag declared her name as "Holly".
Holly placed a plastic green bag on the counter and drew up two boxes, one full of a few rows of Poke Balls, the other with rows of Potions. She counted out the amounts requested, and dropped the items in the bag. Holly rang up the register and blew another bubble.
"Okay... that's £815 in all," she said after punching in a few buttons. She accepted his money, looking at it carefully to make sure it was real, and put it in the register with a bored look on her face.
Holly handed the bag to the trainer and waved him off with nothing more than a huff before pulling out a compact mirror to preen herself with.
[[OOC: Ive handled all of the transactions, so theres no need for someone else to update. :3]]
As the automatic doors opened, Andrew stepped into the local PokéMart. He took a quick glance around, scanning through the different shelves. The shop was packed with Pokémon items of all sorts. This must have been the biggest shop in the whole city. There so many items to choose from. Andrew shook his head as he realised he was wasting time. He needed to make a quick purchase and go.
As he spotted the clerk, he instantly made his way towards him. He took a moment to catch his breath and go over the list of items he wished to purchase. A small list price list caught his eye, making him realise that he couldnt afford to be buying as much as hed hoped after all. After taking a moment to rethink, Andrew finalized the items he needed in his head.
Hey, could I get 9 Poké Balls and 2 Potions, please? he blurted out before he even had the shopkeepers attention. Em...whenever youre ready.. he quickly added. He stood awkwardly at the desk, waiting for a reply. He didnt have time to search for the items himself. He was in a hurry to leave the city before it got too dark. He wanted to move on quickly, but getting stuck on Route 30 in the middle of the night wasnt what he was hoping for. For all he knew, there could be villains out there whod mug him and thered be nothing he could do about it.
Kerry entered the mart, finally excited that she could replenish her stash of pokeballs. She had already caught so many pokemon, and she needed more! She looked around at all the items, some she had never gotten the chance to buy for herself, and she stocked up. Grabbing a few of each item she wanted, she hoped she had enough money to cover it all. She piled the the items onto the register and counted out bills.
Kerry would like to buy: 3 Pokeballs 3 Potions 1 Superpotion 2 Full heals

The pokémon hunting game had been a long, hard trek through Saffron City's wooded outskirts. Returning to his work at the PokéMart, he found a red-headed girl who looked oddly familiar.
"That'll be £3, 105," he said before taking the money from the girl. And with that, she left the shop through the front entrace while he went to the back to search for some wild Ariados he saw in a dream last night.
Ororo walked into the mart with her four pokemon caught from the previous town of New Bark. She really needed to restock on items since she used a lot of them already. She went up to the counter and asked for 5 great balls and a revive.
