As this is the entertainment board, why not get some anime topics up? ;D
Out of all the anime i've watched, i'd have to say there's something unique about NGE which makes it such a joy to watch. Sure it's depressing as hell and Shinji himself is wetter than a Hydro Pumped flannel but I absolutely love the series. So far i've only seen the main anime series and the End of Evangelion (;_;) but i've enjoyed them all. As mind numbingly confusing as some of it seems. Seriously, there's some trippy stuff there.
I still got to get round to watching the updated rebuild stuff that's floating around these days. Part of me wants to watch 'em but another part doesn't. It's got that glorified mass produced feel that a lot of anime seems to have these days.

I didn't catch much of Toonami but i'm sure it was shown on there now and again. It involved some mechs and some other pretty oddball stuff. But i'll be damned if it didn't make for entertaining viewing. I only recently watched the series about a year or so ago, so i'm pretty fresh to the series.

It was quite scary. I know it had cool mecha's, but wasn't the show like super deep and psychological and very mental. I remember some creepy themes from the show.

The mechs themselves were definitely pretty cool. In all honesty I wouldn't mind piloting an EVA-UNIT of my own just because of how badass it would. The series itself does embody some very deep and psychological aspects though. The main ending to the anime series left a serious bad taste in many viewers but I found it to be kinda uplifting in a way. It's been a while since I watched it but I think Shinji got absorbed by Instrumentality and was finally able to let go of all his problems and be at ease with everyone. Definitely some disturbing bits in the series though. All the main pilots themselves have pretty far running disorders. Shinji being the wimp he is, Asuka having this sort of superiority complex and Rei... Well, Rei's, Rei.
