Name: Emmet Kilroy
This is his normal appearance. A somewhat short person, only 5' 2". However, he tries to hide this by wearing 3" custom platform dress shoes. Speaking of his dress shoes, if he's not wearing a suit and tie, then he's usually wearing his classic red vest, a large yet thing black bow tie, black leather gloves, white, pleated, and button down dress shirt and black, pleated pants. His hair turned grey at a young age, due to a condition called vitiligo. His eyes are a steel blue kind of color.
He has a burn scar on his upper left temple he hides with a band-aid, that he is embarrassed of. It is in the shape of the side of a fireplace poker, from an incident when he was younger.
Personality: He is quite the hothead, and doesn't tolerate humiliation. He hates when people bring up his height, or his hair. He plays the loner card somewhat well, and doesn't seem to work very well with new people. It may take a three or four meetings just to hear his voice. He can be quite patient, however, waiting for the right moment to strike, especially when he focuses. He does like to set traps for his opponents, or get them stuck, and forcing them to have few options to take.
For these reasons, he loves the Poison-type, using a myriad of moves to force his foes into a corner. When it comes to raising a pokemon, contrary to his normal persona, he actually treats them with respect. However, he is still strict on them, not allowing for much leniency and weakness. He expects the most out of them, and believes each one is capable of great feats.
History: He grew up in Goldenrod City, being born to Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Kilroy, Section Heads of the Goldenrod Department Store. He grew up in a large, but cold house. By could, I do not mean the temperature, but the environment, if you will. He never saw much of his parents, as they were always working, and he was being taken care of by the maids. At the age of 5, he wanted desperately for any kind of interaction between him and his parents, so he took the fire poker, and placed it in the fire for a while to heat up, in the living room where his father was on the phone. After it was hot enough, hesistantly, he pressed the red hot tip of it to his head, causing an almost brand-like scar on his temple. However, his efforts were in vain, as his father only called for one of the nurses to come and patch him up.
At 8 years old, his mother gave birth to a second child, this time a daughter, named Sophie. This was the only sibling Emmet had, and one of the only two people he could talk to when growing up. They grew a very close bond, as he always looked out for her. A few months after he turned 14, his grandmother grew ill, and was brought to the family mansion to be taken care of. The children had never actually met their grandparents, as they were kept inside the Mansion most of the time by tutors, or only allowed to go so far as the department store itself. The children spent much time with their grandmother, and got to know her quite well, as she not only seemed genuinely interested in them, but cared about them. This was the only other person the two could talk to, besides each other.
Unfortunately, after some complications with her treatment, their grandmother passed away on Emmet's 16th birthday. The funeral was small, and his parents didn't even show up, making it feel much smaller. Sophie cried and cried as they buried the one person who gave her hope and love, while Emmet became angrier and angrier with his parents for how they treated their family members. He grew hateful and distant of everyone, and stayed away in his room, only to come out when the tutors came, and even then he wouldn't say much.
Many years passed, and he still held the same grudge against his family. He had been 20 for a little while, and he had been planning an escape for some time. Not that the family would notice or anything. He scrounged up enough money to get him to this town his grandmother came from, called New Bark. In the middle of the night, he sneaked out of the house, and ran down the City and away, and had help from multiple trainers along the way to traverse routes and forests to reach the end of his journey.
Finally, he had made it to New Bark town, and with the money he had with him, bought out his old grandmother's house and enrolled in a pokemon training school to get his trainer's license.
Other info: He loves to put a spin on the pokeballs he throws, to keep his opponents guessing and, also, he just loves the feel of the ball as it spirals out from his hand and towards his target.
As noted before, Emmet absolutely and unfathomably loves Poison-types, but also has a bit of a passion for the Dark-, Ghost-, Bug-, Flying-, and above all else but Poison-, Normal-types.
How did you find us? Ughh Jessecast....
