Blood and Fire - the official words of House Targaryen. Words spoken in truth; they won their empire on the backs of dragons. They fortified it with a thousand swords running the lands south of the wall as dark as the Dornish sand.
The year is 172 AL. The last dragon died within your lifetime. The magic has begun to fade from the world. The splendor that bore the world has keened its last cry, many believe, leaving myth and magic a thing of history and myth instead of blood and fact. Yet still, in dark pockets of the world, that secret fire still burns.
Baelor the Blessed and King Viserys has died, leaving a man reputed for his adultery and arrogance to take the helm of the throne in a time of tumult and regrowth following the Dornish revolution. King Aegon, the Fourth of his Name, has taken to the throne of the Seven Kingdoms – named so, even with one refusing to bend the knee. Dorne has barred the world from its borders years ago, and since, has begun the beat of the drums, the message for war begin anew.
In the North, the King-beyond-the-Wall begins his earliest deals to strive to conquer the Seven Kingdoms. And within King’s Landing, the King’s bastards of the new King already begin to stir discontent. The King is crowned; his constituents are named; a tourney is assembled in his name. And the world turns a new leaf, as the Age of Man struggles to its feet, lifting itself up upon the backs of dragons – both those of flesh and those of name.
Their words still sing, when you listen. Blood and Fire.
Welcome to the game of thrones; can you play and win?

A board based on the fandom of George R. R. Martin’s acclaimed series, A Song of Ice and Fire, based nearly 100 years before the events that take place in the premier story, and around 30 years prior to those in Tales of Dunk and Egg. Freed of much of continuity, in a tumultuous time of history, we follow the story of the fearsome and incestuous Targaryens and the intrigue that abounds them at their court of King’s Landing, and the machinations in lands farther and farther away, while enemies internal and far flung beat their war drums against their banner or all of man.
A fantasy game of intrigue, war and the honorless world of true knights, it is said that all play the games of thrones, but few win. We’d love to have you prove the saying or fight against its pull; we’re just now beginning, and we’d love you to be involved on the ground floor.
