Sylvester had started his day like any other as he headed out to the Ilex Forest to cut doen some trees so the charcoal master could make some charcoal using the wood. Things went well for a little whike as he found a few trees that would make for the perfect candidates to chop down. Just when it all seemed like things were going to go his way the Farfetch'd had decided they did not want to listen to him and went off to explore the forest. By the time Sylvester realized they had wondered off it was too late for him to do anything about it as he did not have any Pokemon himself and all.he could do was hope a trainer would come by who could help him. He was starting to lose hope as he called out for help periodically until he heard Astrid's voice. He was beyond thrilled to see her as he thought she might be able to help him. " Oh I am so glad to finally find a trainer. I am in a bunch of trouble if I cannot find someone to help me. I was supposed to cut down trees for my.boss along with his two Farfetch'd but they both ran up before we could cut down a single tree. "After trying to calm himself down for a few.moments he tried to explain the situation in a bit more detail. " To.be fair to them.this is not.the first time they have done this. I do.not have any badges so they usually do not obey me for very long at all. I iwsh I had powerful Pokemon to go search for them but as I do.not I have to hope someone will.help.me. I do have something I can give you in exchange for.the help. "After thinking about their favorite hideout locations Sylvester thought he knew a general location that they might be in. " I think the first one is in a wooded area with a very unique scent whose leaves are rather odd looking. As for the other it should be in a somewhat bright area home to a flying Pokemon from another region. I don't remember which region it comes from.though. I wish I could offer more clues but I do have a bit of a warning. The Farfetch'd are known to move around so if you take too long they might have left the area. I really do hope you can help me. " He said as he hoped Astrid would round up the Farfetch'd for him. Sylvester is asking for your help, please find the two Farfetch'd and return them to him.

Astrid was quite surprised to hear the boy was glad to see her, mostly because it sounded like he had been looking for trainers and she had thought there weren't many around in these parts. Didn't most try to get through as fast as possible and only the ones who got lost spent more time in here? Astrid doubted that people who was lost would be much willing to help, other than if it helped them get out again. Of course, this was at the edge of the forest, there probably were more people around here. She listened to all his explanations and looked around as if she expected to see clues of them but didn't see anything else than trees.
"I shall try my best," Astrid said hesitantly feeling this would be like searching for a needle in a haystack. How was she supposed to find a bird or two in a whole forest, who moved around, she could be going around in circles for days without seeing anything. "I am not sure I will succeed but I will take a look around while I am here, I cannot promise anything though," she warned Sylvester. She looked around, shrugged and then set off down one of the paths, one would be as good as the other.

As Kevin and his team entered Ilex Forest they signed into the guest book located in the welcome center. While they were there they saw there was a map of the area but none that they could take with them. Kevin did not have a camera on him or any other way to save the map but he did have a scrap piece of paper and a pencil that he was able to use to make a copy of it to help find his way through to the other side. After creating a copy of the map he folded it up and then stepped outside to the area known as the Shady Glen.
The weather was a lot cooler than the rest of Azalea as the shady trees blocked most of the sunlight and the trees produced a ton of shade as well so Eiskalt could avoid the direct sunlight for the majority of their journey through the forest. It was terrible for Samantha however as she had just gotten used to the hot sun only to go into an area she was not truly fond of. " Well this is better than the rain but that is not saying much. I was really enjoying the sun and of course we have to leave just as I get comfortable. This forest better have a bonfire to make up for it." She said as she tried to keep as calm as she could.
As they walked along one of the many paths in the forest both Samantha and Oracle could sense something in the distance and Oracle could even pick up on a strong aura a short distance down the path and alerted Kevin. " I can sense a strong aura up ahead. I do believe it either belongs to a human or a large Pokemon as it is a fairly large aura." She said as Kevin paused for a moment thinking how he should handle things. The forest would be the perfect spot for an ambush but it could also just be a friendly passerby or maybe even someone who needed help. In the end he decided to check it out feeling as though the risk was worth potentially helping someone out.
He followed Oracle as she led him and the rest of his Pokemon towards the aura she had picked up on. As they got close Kevin called out hoping to locate whoever or whatever Oracle picked up on. " Hello? Is there anyone out here? I don't mind helping at all if anyone needs help." He said as he waited for an answer.

The young black-haired boy wandered into the Shady Glen with two brown feathered duck Pokémon, each holding onto a leek. He was whistling as he moved about through the thickets and tall canopy of trees that would cast heavy shadows over the forested area. Sylvester was sent into the area to cut down some trees for the charcoal master. He would often explore the Shady Glen in search of the right trees to chop down, and he was often accompanied by the Farfetch’d. However, he lacked any GYM badges, so the Farfatch’d were often hard to control as they did not like to obey the boy. Both brown feathered birds ran off, darting through the trees and hopping over large briar bushes. Sylvester tried to chase after them, but he was no match and eventually lost track of them in Ilex Forest. “Uh!” He came to a stop near a large stump and huffed and puffed, trying to catch his breath. “Are there any trainers nearby? Please, help!” The black-haired boy had to hop that a trainer would come along. He had no way to try to get the Farfetch’d to listen or mind him, especially since he had no strong Pokémon of his own or badges that would help him control them. Sylvester’ perked up at he heard Tyler calling out, offering to help anyone who needed it. Sylvester ran up to Tyler and doubled over, placing his hands on his knees as he gasped for breath. “Yes…yes! I need help. I’ve lost two Farfetch that belonged to my boss. I’m supposed to cut down some trees for him with the Farfetch, but I have a hard time getting them to listen to me.” Sylvester explained to Tyler with a heavy sigh, “This isn’t the first time I’ve lost sight of them! I don’t have any badges or strong Pokémon to get them to mind or listen, so they always try to run away and play in the forest. Will you help me find them? I believe the first one ran off into a bright wooded area with distinct scent. The area is home to a couple of bird Pokémon, too. The other Farfetch’d ran off into a shaded forested area that’s home to cocoon Pokémon, I believe. But they’re known to rush off to other areas if you take too long!” Sylvester added on with a warning. Sylvester is asking for your help, please find the two Farfetch'd and return them to him.
Note: This is my first time giving this mod a shot. Took me a while to find the info, so I hope I did the descriptions right! ^^

As Sylvester ran up to Kevin it was clear he was both exhausted and in dire need of help. Without saying a word he listened to the young man as he told his tale about the escaped Farfetch'd and the unfortunate situation Sylvester found himself in. Though there was nothing he could do to help with the badge side of Sylvester's problems he knew he could easily help round up the Pokemon as his team had been raised pretty well to counter both normal and flying type Pokemon. The only thing he wasn't sure of was exactly what moves the Farfetch'd might try against him though as they were used to chop down trees he figured most of the moves would involve a cut of some kind.
" I will gladly help you find your Farfetch'd, I wish I could help you out with the badge side of your problem but at least finding the Farfetch'd for you should not be too hard at all. The clues you provided should be very helpful for tracking them down and I will make a note of them moving around. I will try and find them before they change areas." He said as he took out his hand drawn map and marked the two locations he thought would most likely be where he could find the Farfetch'd. He then folded the map up and waved goodbye to Sylvester for now as he started to walk along the trail to the next area.
As he reached the end of the trail 3 new paths leading in different directions came into view. He was not sure off hand which path he should take so he pulled out his map and looked at it for a moment. The one path looked as though a fallen tree was blocking the way and without any Pokemon knowing Cut he could rule that path out. The second path led to an area that did not quite line up with either of the areas Sylvester had mentioned and so he decided to take the third path hoping it would be the right one.
" This path leading to the Luminous Vale seems like it is the most likely path leading to the Farfetch'd we are after. As a matter of fact that area sounds like the perfect place to look in once we get there." He said as he started to walk down the path leading to the next area wondering if the information Sylvester gave him was accurate.

--Entering from Misty Ridge--
They traveled north the next hour or so and went through a lot of different types of forest until they finally came across a path that took them west, which they traveled at for the next half hour or so. In this steady speed Yakul had no problems trotting on for hours and Pia seemed to have gotten past her embarrassment although she clearly had learned from it, she chased off a few wild pokemon but didn't kept going to try forcing out a battle, she returned quickly although she looked disappointed every time. Astrid looked at the sky and wondered what the time was, she was certain she was going to spent at least one night in the forest, she had planned for several, the question was how further they could get before they needed to call it a day.
The path merged with others and became much more used and wide, it also turned north and suddenly they were at a place Astrid recognized. "What? How did we get back to the entrance?" She said surprised and the little group paused to look out at Azalea in the distance. The sun was still high on the sky and the pokemon looked at Astrid to see what she decided, except Yakul who stomped a foot, impatient to get going. "It is tempting to go back but I did plan for several days in the forest and we still have at least one farfetch'd to find," Astrid said with a smile and Pia lighted up and turned towards the path they had first chosen and Yakul didn't need any urging to follow. Amanda floated after them peacefully.

Farfetch'd trotted ahead eagerly with Pia hot in its heels but it made no attempt of running away. It had been fun exploring on its own and breaking the rules and expectations to it but it had been a bit too much. The hunger had surprised it as it had only been able to find water and now there was really scary things in the forest, besides Pia so it was more than ready to get back home. "How eager you are," Astrid commented surprised as it flapped ahead, half running, half flying, it looked like it couldn't wait to get back, which was strange with how it had acted before. The old woman was quiet for a while with Yakul trotting steadily and carrying her to on. "Have you just realized you are close to home and then getting eager, or did you know something about what that crash was and you want to get away?" Astrid mused without expecting any answer, all three pokemon was hurrying on too busy to take the time to try get her to understand.
They reached the place where Astrid had met Sylvester the first time, but he wasn't anywhere to be seen. "I do hope we are not too late," Astrid said worried and took a deep breath. "Hello? Sylvester? Are you here?" She called out in her spinkle voice which wouldn't reach very far, and she frowned. "Farfetch'd, could you please make some noise? If Sylvester is nearby he will certainly hear you and come running," Astrid said and the bird eagerly did as told and squawked its name loudly to attract the boy, the call rolled through the trees and could certainly be heard in a good distance from here. Much further than Astrid's weak attempt. "Then we just wait," Astrid said with a confidence she didn't feel, she was already planning on what to do, if the boy didn't show up, how to search or if they should bring the farfetch'd back to Azalea and ask around there.

It wasn't long before hurried steps crunching twigs and old leaves could be heard from a path nearby. And they weren't alone, soon a familiar voice would call out in reply to the farfetch'd's own. "Farfetch'd?" Sylverster was close, though still blocked by a turn of foliage. The leek wielding duck gave another chirp and skipped toward where he was coming from. Within the next moment the two were reunited.
"Oh thank goodness," he voiced with an audible tone of relief. "You didn't get yourself hurt did you?" As he asked the boy knelt down to give the bird a quick once over. He was a little banged up but nothing that wasn't fixable with a quick potion or two. Noticing Astrid's presence wasn't immediate, but eventually the dark-haired apprentice broke his attention from the farfetch'd to discover her standing there.
"Thanks so much for finding this one." He paused to stand up. While relieved that he now had one of his master's pokémon the task still wasn't done. Sylverster took out Farfetch'd's pokéball and recalled him so he wouldn't wander off again; at least not too easily.
"I just got a glimpse of the other one on the move actually. I tried to get it as it passed by but I was too slow." The boy let out a small agitated sigh before continuing, "It went down into a real spooky place. Too dark for me to feel safe pursuing it farther than I did. If you wouldn't mind..." he went somewhat sheepish, dropping eye contact before he proceeded to ask for more of her help. "You'll know you're looking in the right place if you see some apricorn trees around," he finished with a hopeful upswing.

They all turned their heads as they the sound of someone approaching and Astrid exhaled relieved when she recognized Sylvester's voice. She had been right, and been lucky that the boy was still here. She wondered if he too had spent the whole night in the forest or if he had just returned from home to get on with the searching. The old woman smiled as she watched the two reunite and she hoped the farfetch'd had learned its leasson and would stay put and help the boy, it had brought so much worry. As Sylvester checked farfetch'd over to see if it was injured Astrid glanced at Pia, she had been quite rough with it but the trumbeak didn't seem to care as she preened her feathers. "I'm afraid there was a bit of a disagreement with Pia," Astrid said out loud, which got the boy's attention, "it seemed fine but if needed I have some potions you can give it," she offered. Sylvester either didn't hear her offer or decided to brush it off as he thanked her for her help instead, Astrid watched him closely for a moment in an attempt to figure out which one it was.
"Oh," Astrid said when Sylvester told that he had almost managed to catch the other one but it had run off again and when she got the boy to point the direction it was opposite to where she had heard the crash earlier. She hesitated and looked thoughtful in the direction she had come from. "Whatever it was it is probably long gone by now," Astrid sighed as she decided she should look after the other farfetch'd instead. The chances of other humans being out here was slim, she had only seen Sylvester and she doubted few would venture in here without strong pokemon, the forest was well known for being dangerous to travel through unprepared. Most others who needed to get to Azalea either came by the sea or by the sky. If it was wild pokemon she had heard clashing she would have to accept that was how life was and that she couldn't help all of them. She narrowed her eyes at Sylverster, "you know a surprisingly lot about where exactly your farfetch'd are when they are lost," she teased and smiled, "but I will take a look at see if I can find this one as well."
Astrid looked at the two paths that laid ahead in the general direction Sylvester had chosen and then shrugged, one could be as good as the other. She had been lucky last time and had managed to stumble across the farfetch'd even though she had gotten lost and everything, this time she was determined that if they found it, it shouldn't just be from pure luck.

--Returning from Dense Thicket--
The sun climbed higher as they left the overgrown area and Astrid was happy for the shade the trees provided in the glen as the temperature increased. She looked around to see if Sylvester was nearby, he might have seen the still missing farfetch'd or it had returned to him but he was no where to be seen. "I do hope there is another way through the forest than the one we just had to turn away from," Astrid mumbled to herself, perhaps Sylverster could help her get through but what if there were more of the same further in? No they probably needed to return to Azalea and figure out how to deal with such on their own, she was not going to let it stop her.
"It is a shame you don't all have my size, then we could all just have crawled through and be going," Janus told the others calmly and Pia glanced at him to see if he was mocking but he didn't look like it. "It is a shame you don't all have wings or we could just have flown over the forest and avoid that thicket all together," she retorted and flapped her owns a bit to show her point. "You couldn't have gotten through the vegetation back there, it was too dense for that, even up in the tree tops," Janus pointed out helpfully and Pia's feathers rose in annoyance. "No but I could here! If we all had wings we had started outside the forest and just flown above and avoided the brambles all together!" She snapped and Janus nodded. "That's true, that would have been easier," he said and Pia relaxed a bit again. "It is a shame you are not strong enough to carry us all," Janus stated as a matter of fact and Pia's head snapped around to stare at him. "What do you inquire by that?" She hissed and he looked surprised over her tone. "That you are not strong enough to carry Astrid or Yakul for that matter," he said puzzled and then added, "Of course Yakul could get put in her pokeball, I suppose that isn't too heavy but we can't really do that with Astrid." The trumbeak stared at him wanting to argue and scold him but he looked to have no clue that he had offended her. "I could easily carry you so you better keep your mouth shut!" she warned him and he nodded unfazed. "Yes, I am very small so you could do that," he stated, "but I wouldn't like that so I probably shock you," he explained and she spun around to face him beak open wide. "You little..! You are not going to threaten me!" Pia hissed and took several steps towards Janus who stared dumbfounded at her.
"That is enough!" Astrid broke in and Pia drew back begrudgingly with a glare at Janus. "I do not know what this is about, but you need to be nice to each other or we will never get through this forest. You will be quiet now and if you start talking again, you can ask the other to be quiet if needed to avoid things like this, if that does not help I will recall both of you, got it?" Astrid said sternly and both pokemon nodded.
Janus watched Pia as she flapped her wings to get airborne and flew ahead while he wondered why she had suddnely become so angry. They had had a nice calm conversation about how to best get through the overgrown part and then she suddenly had screeched at him, it made no sense.

They continued along the path with the sound of rustling leaves from the tree tops above, Pia kept glancing up but didn't see anything of interest. She was itching to go up and check if something was following them or if it was just the wind playing with the leaves but she was needed to keep the farfetch'd under control, who knew what it would do if she turned her back on it?
Astrid had stubbornly refused to mount Yakul, having decided the skiddo needed the lesser weight to make sure her legs hadn't taken any damage. The skiddo had been limping from time to time but had stopped every time Astrid had seemed worried about it, which only worried her more. She could feel how much she had been walking now and she was relieved when she could recognize their surroundings. "Oh finally, now we are almost there," she exclaimed relieved and looked around to spot Sylvester. "Call for him, please will you? Your comrade did so and Sylvester came running instantly," Astrid urged the farfetch'd who was happy to do as she asked, anything to get away from that crazy trumbeak!
As soon as the two had been reunited, Astrid cleared her throat to get Sylvesters attention. "I'm glad we could help get you two back together, perhaps you can do me a little favor and tell me if you have a suggestion to how to get through a really dense part of the forest? The path leads straight into a tangle of brambles and we haven't been able to get through, although I think that is the way we need to go if we want to get through Ilex," Astrid explained and looked hopefully at him. What he had to offer was exactly what she had hoped for. "And this move should be able to get us through? That does sound wonderful," Astrid said cheerfully and then went silent as she thought about who should get to learn it. She let out Lykke. "What do you say to learning a move which will get us through that horrible bramble wall?" Astrid asked and Lykke grinned back and looked eagerly at Sylvester, expecting him to be the one who could teach her.

Much like the first duck's return, Sylvester was quick to round the tree line and make a beeline for Astrid. "Finally! You two were going to get me into a load of trouble again," he lightly scolded the bird on approach. When he turned his attention upward he let out a sigh of relief. "I can't thank you enough!" But perhaps he could. As the older lady went into a question of the thick forest line and expressed an interest in proceeding through Ilex his visage illuminated. "Yeah, you could use the move that Master Kurt taught his Farfetch'd to get around: Cut. I actually have an HM on me..." The boy trailed off as he patted a few of his pockets before finally finding the square containing the move Astrid needed. "Here, you take it. As thanks." Sylvester offered her the HM and smiled about being useful to someone. "Sure will. It'll cut through anything this forest has to offer," he added with a quick swiping hand motion. With the farfetch'd back and Astrid moving on, Sylvester parted ways with the kind woman now in fairly high spirits.

Lykke eagerly learned the new move and Astrid said her farewells to Sylverster, and hoped his two pokemon helpers would have better in the future. "I do not know with you, but I need to rest a bit before trying again," Astrid said apologetically to her pokemon and glanced at the sky. There was still plenty of day left and it was a bit of a shame to leave already, but she needed to be fit to continue and now she was exhausted. A good night sleep in a real bed and making sure she had plenty of food to last a longer trip and she would be ready once more. She also wanted to get Yakul a check up by Nurse Joy, to make sure that slide down the hill hadn't affected her. Pia was the only one who looked disappointed but they followed her out of the forrest without any complains.
(New team: Yakul, Lorenz, Lykke, Helen, Lipia and Shane) A couple of days later Astrid was back, and she was well prepared for a longer trip. She had made some changes to the team and the only one still left was Yakul and Lykke since they were necessary now for the trip to succeed. "Now it is time! Onwards!" Astrid said cheerfully and nudged Yakul forward, the skiddo carried her in to the shadow of the canopy and they quickly reached the crossroad. Yakul pricked her ears as they both spotted the young teenager standing in the middle of it and looking bewildered, at his side a raticate sniffed around looking just as uncertain. "Hello young man, is everything alright?" Astrid called to him as they got closer, and hoped he hadn't lost some of his pokemon as Sylvester and she would get further delayed by helping him. "Thanks, but I don't think so," he said with an apologetically smile as she saw who she was, "I'm trying to get all the way through the forest so I can get to Goldenrod, I'm a trainer you know and that's where the next gym is," he explained and looked pussled as a wide smile spread on Astrid's face. "What a coincident, so am I! And as I have been down all these roads I think I know which way to go!" She said eagerly and the boy stared openmouthed at her. "You're a trainer?! But you're old!" He exclaimed making Astrid laugh. "I need to spent my retirement on something," she teased and found her badges to show him, which made him all excited and he pulled his own two to show her as well. "This is so cool! Do you wanna team up through the forest?" He asked and his raticate jumped up and down beside him. "I would love to," Astrid said with a smile and gestured for him to follow him, "we are going this way, it is blocked but I have been taught a way to get through, hopefully. I think the other two just runs around in circles."She showed the way and they chitchatted, learning each others names, the boy was called Hector and what they had been experiencing through their travels so far. Hector was a typical kid with a pokemon playmate who had become old enough to go on a journey, and he had decided to go with his best pal Karna, who had quickly evolved into a Raticate. He also had some other common pokemon which he worked well with and Astrid was impressed with how he managed to focus on a small group instead of just catching anything he came across. His journey had sounded rather uneventful to Astrid, at least he had avoided most of the troubles with criminals Astrid seemed to have been running into all the time, Hector sounded like he thought he really loved it and couldn't wait for more. -Leaving for Dense Thicket-- Wordcount: 637

Maxwell king » OOC: On a wild goose chase! Max strutted into Ilex Forest feeling on top of the world, his body language exuded an air of confidence to the point that some may mistake it as cockiness, after all he had just returned to his hometown and defeated the local hero in battle. The prodigal son returns home and does what not many others have done before sure did sound neat in his head, even if he was stretching the significance of the moment to suit his own narrative.
As Max entered Ilex Forest he noticed a map, he took a moment to study it but there was so much information to it that he decided to only remember a few significant landmarks on it. After having stepped into the area known as 'Shady Glen', Max realized that he could have simply snapped a photograph of the map to have it on hand with him, however he made the decision to soldier on rather than turn back, always moving forward was his go to mentality and it had worked for him in the past and he saw no good reason to change things up anytime soon.
Thickets and tall canopy's of trees casted heavy shadows over the forested area, despite this the distinct sound of a human whistling could be heard moving through the forest. Curious as ever Max followed the direction from which he believed the sound appeared to be emanating, the area was damn near silent other than the whistling sound to the point that an eerie vibe was being given off, Max wasn't worried at all about that however, he had the utmost faith in his pokemon and their ability to protect him if things went awry.

A young lad with choppy black hair and dark brown eyes stood in a clearing of a thicket of trees. The young man had both of his hands fixed up near his face with the nails of his fingers situated between both the upper and lower rows of his teeth. Sylvester busily bit and chewed at his fingernails as he stared off in some unknown destination. Why, oh why, did these wily bird Pokemon always seem to enjoy taking off from him and disappearing in the thick overgrowth of Ilex Forest?! Oh, if only he had some badges so get them to mind him – he might only need one badge or two to help ensure that they would listen! Between fistfuls of nail biting, Sylvester would also use his hands to whistle out in the vast wilderness of the forest. “Farfetch’d! Farfetch’d! Oh please, oh please come back Farfetch’d!” He called out as loud as he could in different directions. The image of an unknown and strange lad that stood just a few inches taller than Sylvester with black hair approached him and Sylvester gave a soft, relieved sigh. Maybe it was another Pokemon trainer that could help him? He had to hope beyond all hope that this person was someone that could help him recover his Farfetch’d – and before his father found out that he had lost them again. Sylvester jogged over to Maxwell with his hands stretched out in front of him as he waved them back and forth to catch the other lad’s attention. “Heeyyy!” He called out. When he reached Maxwell, Sylvester would bend over and place both hands on his knees and heave heavy breaths of air to recover himself. “Are you…a Pokemon...trainer?!” He would wait for a response, and then begin to straighten himself back up if Maxwell informed him that he was one. “Do you have any badges? I’m not looking for a battle –“ He would continue asking questions, then quickly add in the extra detail lest Maxwell get the wrong idea and try to challenge him to a battle. “You see, I don’t have any badges so my father’s Farfetch’d never listen to me and always run away. There are two of them. Could you help me find them? Please?” Sylvester would wait for Maxwell to agree to help him. If he disagreed, then the young lad would lament on about how he was in deep trouble and would just wonder off into the forest on his own, lost and confused and never knowing which way to go to try to find the feathered fiends. If Maxwell did agree, then Sylvester would perk up with a hopeful smile and continue to explain, “Great, thanks! There are two Farfetch’d that belong to my father. One…I think…I mean I believe it went somewhere brightly lit area of the forest with migratory bird Pokemon that are known to dislike cold seasons. The second one…hmm…it’s in a brightly lit place with small bird Pokemon that love to form quite large groups. Do you think you can help me? Please?!” Sylvester is asking for your help finding two Farfetch'd (both Level 20)! But where, oh where, could they be? Egg Update Sent in
