Sophia Lock sat amidst a hoard of books in the trading center. The woman was casually reading through a book as she waited for a certain Hale Callahan. A few hours ago the two struck up a deal. Hale would give Sophia her Hoppip, Smeargle, and Sentret in exchange for ten thousand pokedollars. The bibliophile knew it wouldn't take Hale long, seeing as the money was already forwarded to the girls account.

Walking towards the center in swift steps which almost left her team behind, the scruffy brunette seemed a little at war with herself today as she massaged the bridge of her nose before letting out a raking sigh. Sure she had caught them, but the bond had yet to be established so why did it feel as though she was doing something heinous? Was it because she was accepting money for them? She wasn't too sure of herself at the moment, but money seemed to have nothing to do with it---in fact the sum seemed paltry if she thought over just who and what exactly she was planning to give away. As the doors to the Pokemon center opened to admit her in, Hale's hands went to the inside of her hoodie to draw forth three Pokeballs as she released the creatures residing within them who were all revealed in a blinding flash of red light. Red light she didn't often see, for her own team were barely ever in their Pokeballs except in emergencies. These three however hadn't seen the light of day in a while, and she couldn't help feeling guilty for that. Then again in all honesty, she had no use for them either---perhaos they were better off with someone who actually wanted them. Yes. The Shiny Hoppip fluttering around happily didn't seem to be at all bothered by this arrangement---Dayang was no stranger to the center, having been here before to find a new owner for herself though that Amelia girl had never gotten around to actually settling the deal. Well, someone now had. Raphael seemed less than enthused about being traded off though he was trying his best to keep this from his mistress for now; Being the oldest of the bunch, he was going to take trade-over like man. Something the very last little beast couldn't The Sentret clinging to Hale's leg seemed a mess and for good reason; First she had been given to the brunette's sister for a Houndour. Then given back. She wasn;t sure if it meant she had been terrible in both battling and Contests, but her self-esteem was as low as it had ever been. "Hey, it's alright pet." Hale crooned softly as she picked up the Sentret in her arms to hold her one last time. "Maybe third time's the charm. Ye'll be fine." Spotting the bespectacled lady perusing books at the waiting hall of the center, hale quickly strode over and tapped her on the shoulder. "Sophie, right? Sophia Lock? Hale Callahan---we talked earlier about the deal." She ventured forth before gesturing to the three mons as Desirae leapt up to give the Sentret a goodbye kiss. 'Well here they are. Raphael, Dayang and Allegra. Ye best be takin' better care of them than I did, especially the little one." Box Pokémon: Shiny HoppipName: Dayang Gender: Female Level: 5 Attacks: Splash, Synthesis Ability: Leaf Guard Nature/Personality: The epitome of grace and femininity, this kindred soul resents the idea of needless fighting and prefers to pursue intellectual or aesthetic interests. She dislikes city life and as such tends to prefer the sanctity of her Pokeball whenever her team makes their way towards another gym badge, preferring to emerge only on grassy routes or whenever they might need her. SentretName: Allegra Gender: Female Level: 3 Attacks: Scratch, Foresight Ability: Keen Eye Nature/Personality: 'She is the joy and the laughter' pretty much defines her place on the roster as the team baby in the midsts of hot-blooded males. Filled with wide-eyed naivete, she is prone to getting lost occasionally due to wanderlust or shiny objects which catch her interest. Her small size and skill and staying hidden makes her a good 'lookout' for them though it takes a lot of coaxing and promise of sweet foods to have her fight large opponents. She has a penchant for music which results in a spot of wild dancing whenever an agreeable beat comes on. Enjoys crazy dancing, collecting shiny objects and human pastries. Smeargle Name: Raphael Gender: Male Level: 10 Attacks: Shadow Ball, Swift, Recover, Sketch Ability: Technician Nature/Personality: Artistically insane pretty much sums up this borderline lunatic's usual state of mind. 'Peace' doesn't exist within his realm of thought, only chaos. In battles, he will never stay in the same place for more than five seconds, moving around erratically in a style reminiscent of a drunken master to confuse and bewilder opponents. Left alone, Raphael is mostly at peace but his temper tends to fuse out in spectacularly violent manners when being bothered while he loses himself in his abstract paintings, most which tend to depict morbid things and occasionally nude models (though he will never tell anyone where he picked up the latter). Don't touch him, don't talk to him, do not approach him in this mode--the only way to get hi out of it is to either wait until e collapses from not eating for a day, or finds himself a 'muse' and/or new inspiration.

Sophia gave the three pokemon a warm smile as she examined them with her crystal blue eyes. These three pokemon some how felt right, like they belonged on her team. After taking a few more seconds to laminate on her new pokemon she turned back to Hale. "Ah, yes. I'm Sophia Lock. It is a pleasure to meet you again." Sophia said in her clean and crisp British accent. "I am sure that Dayang, Allegra, and Raphael will feel right at home with me." There was a warm smile on Sophia's face. It seemed fairly childish for a woman of Sophia's age, but it had an odd draw to it. The bibliophile clapped her hands together. "Now why don't we get started?" the woman inquired, eager to receive her new pokemon. She was excited that her team was coming together so quickly, and they all seemed to be wonderful pokemon.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Hale managed to crack a smile at the woman who despite looking somewhat scatter-brained seemed to be warm and eager to meet her potential partner---all the better. Allegra stopped snuffling in Hale's arms as she looked up at the woman curiously. She had been expecting a younger trainer rather than a mature woman, but this one in front of them looked interesting. Nothing like the flighty younger trainers of course, but perhaps that was best---at least they could trust the woman have a level head on her shoulders. Dayang was the first to approach Sophia, fluttering over to settle on her shoulder as the grass type crooned softly in contentment, having found a spot she liked to curl up on as she yawned and stretched out like a cat. She liked this woman already, never mind that a scant two sentences had passed between Hale and her. Raphael however was more scrutinizing, raising an eyebrow at the bespectacled woman as he took a single step forward and tapped his chin thoughtfully, trying to gage if she was a decent trainer. Given, he human looked as thought she would make out with a good book before another male, but perhaps that was an advantage; Far as he knew, these younger humans were prone to incredibly rash and stupid decisions that marked their youth, but this one was much older and was probably more experienced. "I certainly hope so. Neways, ye'll keep me updated with how they're doin' eh?" said the brunette as she hesitantly handed Allegra over to Sophia, patting the rodent between the ears one last time. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot about these..." Digging into her pockets, hale produced a bag of Rare Candies, six in all which she held out to the woman as well before gesturing to Dayang who looked at it in a hungry manner. Item: Rare Candy x6 "For her. I reckon she could use 'em to kick things up a notch. $13,000 for the whole lot. That'll be all then?"

Sophia suppressed a glee of joy as Dayang perched on her shoulder. She was glad to see the young Hoppip starting to warm up to her so quickly. The woman began to softly rub Dayang's stomach, and for a few seconds she wondered why the Hoppip became so attached. Maybe it was she appreciated what Dayang brought to the team even though so many new trainers thought of them as worthless because of their horrid offensive pool, and lack luster strength. Or simply because Sophia thought Dayang was adorable, or even though they were both woman and Dayang came from a male dominant team.
Sophia's thoughts returned to the present as Hale offered the rare candies. The woman almost let out another glee of joy as they would really help Dayang progress in her training, which would already take a rather long time. The woman plucked one of the candies from Hale's hand, and unwrapped it. Oddly enough Sophia held it up to her nose and took a deep whiff, more seasoned trainers knew that rare candies had a very specific honey and berry mix smell. Once the candy checked out she offered it to Dayang, who gobbled it down with a cry of joy. "I apologize for that, but many people have tried to sell me fake rare candies before. Although they are clearly real so I will gladly pay for them all."
The odd woman began to pat down her jacket, clearly looking for something. After quite some time she pulled a tan book out of her jacket. The simple tan book had the title 'Some Memories of Drawings' with the name Georgia O'Keeffe which made Raphael's eyes widen in joy. It gave him hope that this woman was a lover of the arts, and would let him work in peace. And at the end of the day Raphael had no love of fighting, but his art was something he couldn't live without.
The bibliophile began to flip through the book. It took her only a few seconds to find what she wanted, and much to everyones surprise there was a large pile of pokedollars hidden inside of the book. Ms. Lock carefully counted out the money she owned Hale (Afraid that was Hale was secretly a loan shark and going to bust her kneecaps in with a Shillelagh). The woman snapped the Georgia O'Keeffe book shut and placed it back within one of her many pockets.
With out stretched hands Sophia offered Hale her money. And in exchange got the young Sentret and remaining rare candies. The bibliophile softly cradled the young normal type, a soft and friendly smile was on Sophia's face. It was clearly by how she held Allegra that Sophia had a child of her own. The bibliophile looked back up at the Callahan girl, "I think it would be a splendid idea to catch up some time. How about a spot of tea?" Sophia inquired.
