Darkened corners and shady alleyways. This was the way in which Joey did his business. Most other trainers took their trade off to the respectable and cheerful Trade Centre that was done entirely by the book. Being a wanted outlaw for a whole strew of crimes, official places like those weren't the best establishments to be turning up in. Instead, the tried and tested way of doing a night time exchange suited him perfectly. Stealthily hiding his way down one of the alleyways that connected with the main square before the trading building, Joey lie in wait for the contact. They had inquired about some of the stock he had captured and he was certainly looking to sell them off. Both Pokeballs were tucked away safely in his pocket.
Unlike most other nights, this one seemed off. There had been time and time again where the local police had arranged a sting to apprehend the biker clad thief but he had always got away by the skin of his teeth. Joey stood there, leaning against the alleyway wall as he thought to himself. "Dammit, somethin' about today just ain't sitting right. I rarely get a gut instinct but when I do... Best to be prepared." His eyes drifted down to his two Pokemon that were out as protection. With him was Hoodlum, his gangsta Scraggy and his silent, brooding Elekid.
The two were merely emulating Joe as much as possible and were also relaxing against the wall. "Maaaaaan, when's dis cracka gonna show up, dawg?" Joey looked down to Hoodlum and shook his head. "At least call my clientèle something respectable! I ain't all clued up with your speak but I know a jibe when I hear one." Hoodlum stood forward and waved his hands non-threateningly. "S'cool dawg! S'COOL! Aight, I ain't meanin' no dis. But y'all gotta admit. This busta sure ain't here on time. Maybe it's da popo." Joey looked to his Poketch and sure enough, it was a little but later than they had agreed. Deciding to pass the time, Joe's trusty whiskey hip flash came out of his pocket and he took a good sip of the fiery drink inside.
Just then, footsteps were heard off in the distance. Elekid immediately stood to attention and raised its bulky arms and Hoodlum turned to face the direction of the sound. Someone was coming...
