Not sure who all is interested in this game, apart from Alex, Midori, and Kode but here is some footage from the alpha stage of the multiplayer. M4 looks like it will be good the player just needs to control his fire sometimes. Now if only it was Army instead of Marines. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfeOoEDYEt0

You'll live you big baby, not like changing which branch would change their effectiveness in game.

Army would have more and bigger toys though and look cooler. More than that though I want a fire selector in multiplayer. Aimed fire ftw! Based on the sound of the impact in the video though I wonder if you can kill people with pieces of buildings you shoot with a rocket.

That would be interesting to see, but more likely then not you'll just end up with people being 'dazed' by those types of impacts.

Probably. That opens them up to being shot by allies though but it is probably better to just try and hit the enemies or their area with the rocket. I hope the blast radius isn't too small though.

First thing that always ends up nerfed are the explosions.

Them and the assault rifles. Can't have assault rifles being capable of rapid fire, accurate fire, strong fire, long range fire, and have low recoil. Can't have them out classing most other bullet firing weapons as then people would get mad. Have to keep it balanced after all!

Believe it or not I have been considering getting this game. I will admit I did not like Battlefield 2 Modern Combat or whatever it was called on the PS2 but this one looks way better. One thing I could not stand was scoring points and getting random upgrades for weapons. I do not know if that is returning or not but if it is that would be the main reason I would not get it. The graphics do look really nice even if it sucks that the PS3 and Xbox360 versions have a smaller multiplayer support than the PC version. I would hope they make the single player campaign long to make up for that since the PS3 and Xbox360 can handle from what I understand up to 128 people in a game at once of course it depends on the game and all but it should have at least 64 player support since we all know both systems can handle at least that many even if it may have a bit of lag at those numbers. The only other reason I am debating getting this is due to the announced Medal of Honor 2. I loved the first one and I really want to get it but since it does not have a release date I do not want them to release it under a year from this game in the event I do not have the money to preorder Medal of Honor 2 and get left out. If I knew MOH2 was not coming out for quite some time then I would almost certainly buy this as a hold over until MOH2 comes out since when it does come out it will be the main thing I play.

I obviously don't know for sure but I would assume that MOH2 wont be out until well after BF3 as they wouldn't want to interfere with each others sales. As for player support I know PS3 can support well over 100 in one game but I don't know about 360 and I doubt the game on PS3 looked as good as this does. So I'm sure they can support a high number of players but I don't know if they could on a game like this one as they can have issues with 8-24 players based on the servers and the player's connections.

All the footage we've seen so far is PC, so I'm kinda worried about how the game will look on the consoles.
Also, dropping packages DANGER CLOSE BABY! Airstrikes for everyone!

I've been under a rather comfortable rock, but I'm more worried if they'll tone it down in the multiplayer.

It is highly possible as that has been done for years or that might be why they are having less people for multiplayer on consoles. So that they don't need to downgrade it at all or much apart from that.
