Sandy didn’t exactly know how she had ended up in the Pryce Conservation Center. Hell, she didn’t know how she ended up half the places she did half the time, but either way, at least someone had referred her to coming here this time. The wide open spaces were beautiful, and there were so many places for Pokémon to go around it. She sighed and looked to Munchy, who had wrapped himself around her from one of her shoulders to the other, like a Quilava scarf or…something like that. He wasn’t planning on fighting or anything if Sandy ended up having too, but he was watching out for her.
“I wonder how many Acres this place is…” Sandy spoke aloud, catching her Quilava’s attention for a moment.
“Quilava Qui…” Beats the hell out of me... Sandy gave a shrug and then spotted something strange. A cave…something told her she should probably stay out of it, but normally, listening to her gut feeling didn’t help anyway. She made her way over to it and entered carefully, gasping gently as she entered. A pretty mine of blue tinted Lapis covered the walls of the cave, giving off a pretty glow. What lived around here, Sandy did not know, but, she was willing to find out for sure.
(Currently in Lapis Cave.)

Waiting at the opening of the cave was a Purrloin. She stood, and then narrowed her eyes at the approaching couple of Pokemon. When she decided it was alright, she stepped aside and silently followed them. The guard had mentioned something about a Pokemon acting as a guide and a mediator. Perhaps this was it? The path ahead split into two adjacent openings, one with 'Battle Zone' written on it, the other with 'No-Battle Zone' on it. Chasm the Purrloin looked at the Pokemon on Sandy's shoulders, and decided they would be going to the battle zone. Mainly because no other Pokemon were allowed in the No-Battle. So she jumped up front and started to guide them down the path. The cave walls were a deep blue, casting a strange light around the cave. Torchlight was the only light seen, and shuffling could be heard from deep inside the walls and cave. Things seemed to have a coarse echo here, even Sandy's footsteps. Despite it's beauty, it seemed to have an eerie feeling about it. Perhaps it was the Pokemon inside? As they continued to walk, the smell began to worsen within the cave walls. It was obvious that Sandy had chosen a good place with lots of Pokemon, but she probably hadn't counted on the Pokemon of this type. A little rock off to the side moved, starting to follow them. It was gaining up the courage to confront the trio of Pokemon and human, but to no avail. They continued to walk, examining the walls, but finally the little sludge pile finally spoke up. Grimmmeee~ It growled, catching their attention. Chasm jumped off to the side and out of the way, so she could watch the battle. Her eyes still seemed to shine in the darkness of her little cornered perch, while Grimer appeared black and dull. The stink was awful, so Sandy would probably want to get rid of this little 'mon quick. Wild Grimer (Lv. 7) has challenged you to a battle! To arms, to arms with ye!

Sandy backed up a little bit when the Grimer came up towards her, trying hard not to offend it by holding her nose. Though, it was pretty gross, and the smell was killing her. Quickly, she took out a Pokeball and called out Darryl. Munchy watched as the Sandshrew blinked and took a look around, finally finding Sandy behind her.
“Hey Darryl, I’m going to need your help okay girl?” she questioned, bending down to pat the Sandshrew gently on her head. The smell hit Darryl, but she didn’t flinch. She kind of shook her head though, showing Sandy she also didn’t like the smell all that much.
“I know, I know, bare with it though, alright?” Darryl nodded and turned to face Grimer now, her first battle under Sandy’s training. Sandy coughed a bit, the Grimer’s stench really getting to her now and called out once she had an attack for Darryl to use.
“Darryl, start us off with your scratch attack!” Darryl held up her claws, tilting her head. Was that the right thing to do? What if it really hurt grimer…what if she got some of the slime stuck in her claws, and the smell followed her forever? Now that would be bad… finally deciding she’d attack, she waited to see if she could move faster than Grimer could.

The battle had started, and Grimer decided that it wanted to start the show, although... it seemed as if it were taking it's sweet sweet time trudging over to attack Darryl. If Darryl wasn't so startled by the smell, they probably could have played keep away. But unfortunately that isn't how battles work. Grimer lifted it's sludgy hand and slammed it into the side of the ground mouse, leaving a bit of sludge on the Sandshrew. Darryl immediently tried to get it off, but to no avail. Angered, she scratched at the ground multiple times before charging forward. Chasm watched the battle with interest and hunger. She eyed Darryl hungrily, licking her lips while her stomach growled. She'd have to head back soon, maybe she'd get something to eat. Although that Sandshrew looked divine. She curled her tail around her paws and watched Darryl charge though, remembering how she couldn't eat any of the customers and their Pokemon included. Darly ran her little claws down the side of Grimer, and although it didn't seem to do much of anything effect wise (the sludge just sorta... repositioned itself) Grimer seemed to have taken a decent hit. The cave echoed with the sounds of battle, and Darryl seemed to be enjoying herself, minus the stench of the cave. Darryl was anxious to see everything else in the cave and explore, while Grimer was content just sludging around. Sandy knelt down and called Darryl over to her. The shrew made her way quickly to the blonde, and Sandy pulled out a pack of tissues. Taking the creatures paw into her hand, she cleaned it gently, getting the muck and dirt out of it. She then scooped her up, ready to explain the ‘game plan’.
“Alright Darryl, so, I want you to keep scratching it. Only thing we can do really, right? A few more times might do the trick, and I trust you, alright Darryl?” Darryl looked up at Sandy, her head tilted. She understood, and gave her a soft nod. Sandy had doted on Darryl like this since she got her.
Berry and Scatter made fun of the poor thing constantly, because of her problem in over thinking things. However, Sandy didn’t see the problem. Honestly, where Scatter and Berry got such nerve, she had no clue. She just wanted Darryl to know that she wasn’t slow, it was just the way she was.
Sandy knelt down and nudged Darryl forwards gently. This time, Darryl didn’t have to think anything out. She hurried forwards towards the Grimer again, this time, her claws were fresh and clean for another hit.

Darryl was cleaned off, and back to looking almost as pristine as she was when she entered. However, the battle was far from over, due to the levels and difficulty of the battle. Grimer wasn't going to go down without a fight, unfortunately, so it wouldn't be an easy fix for Darryl and Sandy. But they had the advantage of items, while Grimer had the advantage of, er, well, nothing really. It started to sludge it's way over to the side of Sandshrew, despite the protests of the young Pokemon. The Grimer raised it's slimy hand and slammed into the side of the shrew. The sludge slugged it's way down the side of the shrew, and it immediently started to sludge it's way back down to it's side of the field to avoid Daryll's claws. It didn't quite work out that way though. Grimer didn't escape in time. The shrew's claws raked down the side of the grime pile, and took away a bit of Grimer's body. It let out a little cry, and pooled a bit in the floor. Lucky for the team of Sandy and the Shrew, it was a critical hit! Darryl returned to the side of her trainer while Grimer slowly pulled it's messy body up and drug itself towards it's side of the field, not willing to turn around. Chasm rolled her eyes and let out a huff. Taking too long. She hissed unpleasantly in her native tongue, annoyed out of her mind. How she got stuck with this stupid job was unbeknown to her. From how Darryl was acting, she clearly didn’t like the smell of the Grimer too much. She shook her head, holding her claws away from her sensitive nose. Sandy couldn’t help but chuckle at Darryl’s antics. The orange scarf on the Sandshrew’s neck ruffled as she turned to look back at Sandy. The girl had reached around into her bag to pull out a Great ball. She seemed ready to capture the smelly thing. Darryl wondered if that was a good idea, but Sandy knew what she wanted to do most of the time, so the Sandshrew stepped off to the side.
“Thanks Darryl, you did a good job. Now let’s see if this works!” She tossed the blue ball at the Grimer, letting it sail through the air. She didn’t know exactly how to go about caring for a grimer, but it was an interesting Pokemon to have indeed. Darryl spun around and ran over to Sandy, standing at her feet. She’d be ready to attack again if need be, but she really hoped it would just stay down. She didn’t want to get her claws gunked up again.

Thankfully for Darryl and Sandy, the Grimer's battle was about to be over. The pile of sludge watched the pokeball curiously as it's past life flashed before it's eyes. It used to be a Pokemon belonging to a Coordinator, but for some reason, Grimer lacked the beauty in the trainers opinion, and dumped the Grimer on the side of the road, never to return. It was found and brought here, but he familiar sight of the Pokeball intrigued and scared it. As it was sucked into the pokeball, it closed its eyes and didn't fight back. The ball shook once... twice... thrice... and nothing happened. When the little 'ding!' happened, Sandy and Darryl wold know that it was safely captured. --- Victory! Darryl defeated the Grimer with the help of a Pokemon capture! Darryl gained +3 Levels! Darryl learned Sand Attack! Darryl learned Poison Sting! Darryl gained Happiness! Fill out the info on your new teammate! Grimer Name: [choose] Gender: [choose] Level: 6 Attacks: Poison Gas, Pound, Harden, Mud-slap Ability: Stench or Sticky Hold Nature/Personality: [choose] --- Chasm yawned and rolled her eyes at the celebration. She looked at the cave and then the path that led to the outside. Sandy would have a choice. If Chasm had a choice, she'd gobble up the Sandshrew. She stared at Darryl hungrily, but then looked up at Sandy with curious eyes. Where would the Purrloin be leading them next? Did Sandy want to stay and continue looking in the cave? Or did she want to change areas already? It didnt' matter to Chasm. She was bored no matter what they did.

GrimerName: Hexxus Gender: MaleLevel: 6 OT: Sandy Attacks: Poison Gas, Pound, Harden, Mud-slap Ability: Stench or Sticky Hold Nature/Personality: [To be filled in] Happiness: 0 [Grimer is going to someone else so I did not pick an ability] Sandy sighed in relief when the ball stopped shaking. She didn’t know how much longer she could take the smell at all. Looking around, she took a minute to appreciate the pretty lapis of the cave. Munchy, who was on her shoulder, was getting quite tired of it. Sandy rolled her eyes and gently flicked him on the nose. “Oh stop being such a spoilsport boy.” She teased. Munchy rolled his eyes. He and the girl had had a close bond, even closer than before since Halloween, so he wasn’t mad at her for giving hima flick on the nose, but he was bored. There was nothing to do besides stare at a bunch of pretty stone around here. Sandy congratulated Darryl, returned her, and collected the new Grimer she had captured. She looked down at something similar to a guidebook she had been given, and turned to the familiar Purrlion leading them. “Hey, can you take me to Lara Meadow?” Reading about the rules of the Meadow, she quickly recalled Munchy, leaving her Pokemon free while she waited on the Purrlion. Putting this on hold for now~
