I'm a rather big FPS, TPS or general shooter fan in my video games and I've only heard off and on talk about shooters in the cbox and know fewer people still that play them here. That aside I wanted to share a bit of info off and on that comes to my attention.
Battlefield 3:
Two days ago the 'Back to Karkand' map pack for Xbox 360 and PC owners was released. If you bought the limited edition you get it free. The pack is part of an 'update' which is about 2.07 GB. It comes with some fixes which are here along with a trailer for it. PS3 owners got it early and the map pack costs 15 USD if you need to smack down come cash for it.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3:
Not alot of info here, if you got the Elite service it should be working perfectly fine now and you should enjoy it if you find the services useful.
Otherwise there seems to be a few fixes in the works, the akimbo FMGs are getting nerfed in the future. There is also supposed rumors of the feared Type 95 getting nerfed along with the CM-901. For the list of updates look here
Other news includes the unveiling of a 5000 day ban in place for boosting, cheating, hacking, exploiting the game or acting inappropriately in the chat. The last of which is unlikely to phase smack talk.
Other news:
The Spike VGA or Video Game Awards happened a few days ago and while not exactly a stellar program it showed off a few game trailers. Shooter related titles, although not all have a primary shooter focus include Hitman Absolution (Stealth), Mass Effect 3 (RPG), Rainbow Six Patriots, Bioshock Infinite, Fortnite, Transformers Fall of Cybertron, Alan Wake's American Nightmare and The Last of Us (PS3 Exclusive).
Other trailers included Command and Conquer Generals 2 (RTS), Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, Tekkan Tag Tournament 2, Amazing Spider-Man, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD and Diablo III's intro cinematic.
PS3 Owners:
