After the stunningly awful shock that met him in Azalea, Justin had tried to find comfort with his Pokemon. They were all out of their balls, and huddled around him. The one taking it the worst was obviously Surreo, an empathetic Pokemon. They had to hand it to Justin though. Surreo was kicking and screaming off to the side while crying. If that's what Justin was feeling right now, he was doing a terrific job of hiding it. Rhoan nuzzled against his side, though Justin felt too tired to pick her up and hold her.
The only Pokemon not participating in the 'cheer Justin up' rally was Dayn, who was flopping back and forth in the grass. Surreo finally pulled himself together and sniffled, walking over to Justin before carefully sitting down to avoid a skirt-flip up. Justin... please. Don't act like this, it's not healthy. He murmured, but Justin merely sighed and leaned back in the grass. My parents are missing, and my home was burned down the day before I arrived in Azalea. I want to go out and find them.
His Pokemon nodded and understood. Even Anriiko was sharing in the sympathy. Though, you know we can't leave until we defeat the gym leader here. Surreo pointed out. Justin nodded, glancing towards the town. Bugsy. Bug type. Gives me the creeps. He said. Rhoan snorted. Doesn't everything give him the creeps? She oinked, glad Justin didn't understand her. All but Justin and Anriiko sent her angry glares. Dayn probably just had gas pains or something. He was getting more temperamental by the day. Guess that means we have to beat Bugsy quick. Alright team, time to train, eh?

“Nidora!” A soft call rang through the air following Justin’s telling his team that it was time to train. It had been a pretty normal day for Nidoran. She wiggled her light blue body through a few brambles, which seemed to lead to her nest. Nidoran always kept their nest well hidden, because there were quite a few predators on this route. Though, it seemed a little like it would be safe to venture out today. She didn’t seeme to notice Justin and in fact, she ignored him completely as she trotted passed him to get to the Berry bush on his other side. Pushing her snout into it, she began to peck at the branches of the bush, picking off berry by berry. She had been carrying a leaf with her, and was now using it like a make-shift bag. She dropped the berries into it. She seemed to be enjoying her work, tasting the sweet berry residue that was left on her mouth from her gathering. She collected the leaf, rolling it up so the berries would not escape, and began to make her way back to her nest. Though, now she noticed Justin and company standing there. Were they there before? She dropped the leaf full of berries to the ground, stray berries rolling everywhere, this was and that. Growling, she let her blue fur stand on end as she tried to ward off Justin. He was way to close to her sleeping place, her home, and she didn’t like that at all. _____________________________________________________ Warning!
You have been standing too close to Nidoran♀'s (Level 12) nest, and now she wants a fight!

Justin grinned when he saw the cute figure of the Nidoran. Awwww... you're so adorable! He chimed, watching the strange rat get on the offensive side. Apparently, they'd done something to tick her off just by standing here. While he ruffled around to get his camera, she continued growling, so Justin tapped one of his pokeballs to send out. All of his Pokemon could beat this Nidoran, but Rhoan did need the practice. Hey Rhoan, time for some practice. Gonna listen to me this time? he asked.
The Fire Pig nodded and looked at the Nidoran, attempting to size her up. The berries she was eating looked good. Rhoan wanted some, and figure she'd sneak some while she was close. She grinned and stretched her tail out, waving it to get the Pokemon's attention. Justin finally got his camera out and started taking the pictures, moving all sorts of ways to get different angles of the battle. Alllllright, Rhoan. Give 'er an ember, okay? he spoke, and Rhoan nodded, running forward and flaring up her fire. She then skidded to a stop to spread some dust and let out her embers on the rat thing. Ooo! Nice touch! Justin complimented, snapping a few photos while the dust cleared.

With her home on the line the female Nidoran stood her ground as the burning embers came sailing in from the unfamiliar Pokemon. Holding her ground the Nidoran took the powerful blow and was quick to shake off the embers and stomped on them to put them out. Seeing a chance Rhoan looked back at Justin and winked at the camera for flare and to add to whatever pictures Justin was taking. A bit of a mistake to be vain given the situation, one which the Nidoran was willing to take advantage of. Surging forward the Nidoran made a beeline for her and in a surprising move spun around once she was close enough, before kicking her rear legs out for a Double Kick. It was a hard impact and thanks to Rhoan's head being somewhat angled towards Justin, she took the blow to the side of her head. Feeling like she'd accomplished something, the Nidoran looked towards Rhoan hoping she'd struck a solid blow, but was shocked to see and feel Rhoan's head turning towards her. Startled and now afraid the Nidoran moved away from Rhoan, who was allowed to turn her head towards the offending Nidoran. With a sharp glare Rhoan showed she was rather pissed that the little photo moment was ruined and with a quick snort focused her mind on one thing, showing this upstart who was in charge here, maybe if the Nidoran was lucky she'd learn something from her superior. Justin gave a little chuckle and watched the battle. He scanned through the pictures while Rhoan just glared at the Nidoran. Luckily, the Tepig would be calmed after this fight. Why? Because at least one picture was perfect. Rhoan'd be irritated that it was messed up in the first place, but at least one picture captured the wink without the Nidoran in the frame. Don't worry! I got a good picture. He grinned, and Rhoan nodded. Stupid... rat thing, whatever you are.. The Tepig oinked to herself, clearly still irritated.
Justin managed to whistle through his teeth, even while in the cold. He put on his green jacket and zipped it up, still impressed by the show of Tepig's defenses. You're doin' fine, girl. He praised, and took pictures until the cold reached his fingers, rendering them useless for the camera. With a flurry of zips and snaps, the camera was safe and his hands were stuffed deep inside his pockets. Good show, girl. Maybe i'll give ya a treat after this, eh? Use another ember. He ordered.

“Nidora!” Nidoran squeaked as she scraped at the ground. Rhoan wasn’t the type of Pokemon she felt like dealing with right now, that was for sure. With a shake of her head, she tried to think of a way to win. Tail whip…that would work, right? Right! Turning, she moved her tail around it a cute display, trying to catch Rhoan off guard. Rhoan for some reason or the other, felt strangley relaxed by the tail whip and let her guard down, which lowered her defenes slightly. Turning, Nidoran waited as it stared at Rhoan expectantly. Was she going to move or would she have to wait all day? Snapping out of her daze, Rhoan retaliated with a series of embers, all which burned into the Nidoran’s skin with renewed vigor. Nidoran was growing tired, and anyone with eyes could see that. Her stance was low to the ground, like she was about to fall, and her breathing was quite uneasy. She settled on the floor, for now unable to do much else beside wait and see what Justin would do next. He seemed kind, but, maybe he didn’t like Nidoran? ____________________________________________________ VS.Wild Nidoran |Level 12| Health: 31% (12/38HP)Status: Normal Attack: A successful Tail Whip. Justin couldn't help but form a soft spot for the rat. It was adorable, and Rhoan had all but flown by the battle. She had done incredible, and had barely any damage compared to the Nidoran. She deserved the treat, and his forgiveness for her flub up in the Union Cave. Perhaps she was finally learning the obedience she needed to function as a full member of the team. Justin dug down in his pocket for his piece of candy. A rare candy, in fact. Why not reward the flaming pig with an extra level, hmmm? He smiled when Rhoan heard the ratting of the wrapper.
Good girl, Rhoan. C'mon back now, and i'll see if I can catch 'er. She's a bit tired lookin'. He smiled, digging into the side pocket of the bag. He pulled out the tiny great ball, and clicked the button. It expanded in his hand, and he threw it with ease towards the little rat. The ball landed on it's head, and sucked in the rat with the power of the red light. Soon the ball was on the ground, ready to seal Nidoran's fate. Perhaps Justin would get lucky, since he was using a Great Ball. Good job, girl. Lets see how this turns out. I promise, after the battle, ya get your candy, ya little oinker. He smiled. Rhoan snuffled and let out a little fire, excited for her treat.

The sight of a Greatball into the equation made the female Nidoran perk up a little in excitement. Perhaps its initial thinking prior to this of the male wasn't so inaccurate after all. Not sure how to respond, the little rodent looked up in the air as the Greatball with its blue and white colouring blurred through the air. It was a strange sight for it to behold and it had no idea if it would hurt what with how fast the ball was spinning. Instinctively flinching its eyes shut just as any other normal living creature would, the Nidoran♀ was pleasantly happy to find that the impact of the ball was no more greater than a gentle nudge to its nose. Opening its eyes again, all it saw was a bright red glow envelope its entire body before it was sucked with extreme prejudice inside the capturing device. Falling to the ground, the improved Pokeball began to do its jig. Once... Twice... Thrice...!

(Updated Nidoran, being sent to Rhoan's PC Box via a 'sale' Justin made in his RP. She won't use it til later though. Updated Move, replaced Odor Sleuth for Flame charge. Used 1 rare candy in post, evolved Tepig to Pignite, and replaced Defense Curl for Arm Thrust)) Justin pocketed the extra Pokeballs he had, and picked up Rhoan, smiling while she sniffed at his face and hair, waiting for the treat she'd earned. Her overwhealming urge to snack on the treat was causing Justin to loose his balance, knocking him over into the ever increasing snow. The Tepig started to get covered with the ice and flakes, though nothing was keeping her from her candy. The blue wrapped delicacy fell out of the photographer's pocket, and she quickly started to much on it, much to Justin's amusement. If it wasn't so bloody cold outside Justin would have stopped and had a snack himself. Rhoan ate the candy though, entire wrapper and all. She gave a satisfied burp, but almost immediently, she began to glow in that familiar light Justin had seen when Surreo started to evolve. He quickly backed up from the Pokemon, and watched with awe as the transformation took place. Even in the midst of the snow and ice, Rhoan was evolving and casting a spectacular glow around the falling snowflakes and blizzard winds. When the process was complete, Justin stared in awe at the new Unovan Pokemon that stood infront of him. Rhoan wasn't so... little anymore. Rhoan, you're.. pretty grown up now. He grinned, looking at the Pignite infront of him. I'm impressed. If the snow wouldn't have bothered him, he would have taken a picture. Rhoan was still getting used to her body as well. Whoah whoah whoah? What's this? I'm... taller? And... hairy. She sighed, but still looked content with the new power. Justin worked out a moveset on his Pokedex, and started to trek towards the Pokemon center to trade out a few Pokemon, and then train some more. After the Pokemon were changed out, he returned outside with a thicker jacket and a blanket to see if any other 'Mon's braved the storm like he was.

The cries of the Nidoran female echoed throughout the area and could be heard for quite a distance. Even a few townsfolk heard it's cry and tried searching for the cause of such horrific noises caused by the pain of Rhoan's Ember attack. When the Poison type was captured a few bushes near the battle area started to rustle. Growling could also be heard from them that it could only be described as a rabid dog hunting for it's next meal. As Justin approached the bush to see what was going on a Poochyena jumped out of the bush and bared it's teeth to him. THis one seemed to be a pretty strong one if the size of the teeth meant anything towards determining its level as well as it having a large bushy tail which it kept up like a banner to show off it's dominance to the other pokemon in the area. Realizing it would not scare Justin with a tail alone it decided on a different tactic. It seemed that this Poochyena was watching the previous battle which just happen to take place on it's turf and by no means was it a happy dog that a human was in it's territory. It let out a loud Howl as it stared Justin down waiting for him to make a move. This Poochyena was looking for a fight and it did not seem Justin would have a hard time running from it since every time he tried to even walk in any direction the dark type would copy him. Justin would now have to choose either to get crafty or fight the dog pokemon. A wild lv15 Poochyena appeared. Would you like to battle or run?

Justin grinned at the new encounter, glad that there was something still out here. Not to mention that the dog was incredibly adorable! The photographer looked through his Pokemon, trying to decide who he would send out to fight the mad Poochyena. There was no doubt in Justin's mind he wanted to catch it, though he'd probably end up selling it again. Poochyena was still a good Pokemon, so he didn't know. He managed a frozen shrug to himself while he tapped Rhoan's Pokeball. The Pignite fell into the snow like lead, and walked to a less covered area for the battle.
Rhoan, delighted with her new strong form, merely cracked her pig knuckles and looked at the dog, towering over it slightly. Her presence was stronger than ever, and it seemed she'd grown up slightly. Teenage Rhoan now? Perhaps. Justin managed another frozen shrug while he looked through her new moves. Arm thrust? That was a fighting against a dark. Not the best idea. Howabout her new flame move? Justin figured it'd heat up the battlefield at least. Flame Charge! Best of luck, Rhoan! He chimed.

No doubt that Rhoan's evolution has left her very much more powerful than before, having a nice increase of HP, attack, speed... everything! To try out the newfound abilities of the newly evolved Pignite would be amazing! To test this out and right off the bat, fortunate that this Poochyena came looking for a brawl that it'd soon regret. Rhoan was up first, being a little more nimble than she was before. The issue of Flame Charge was both new and exciting, to which the Pignite was happy to comply. She started out by psyching herself up and stomping her feet around like mad, kicking up dust and snow. As she proceeded, the snow around her feet began to melt and temperatures were on the rise near her. Suddenly, FROOM! She had engulfed her entire body in a cloak of flames: The attack was ready! Starting off a little slow in the charge, she quickly picked up momentum as Rhoan ran. Accelrating faster and faster, the snow was melting instantly and turning into a steaming vapor in her wake. In this cold environment, she looked like a flaming meteorite streaking in a winter wonderland at snow level. Leaving the wild Poochyena little time to react, the pup was smashed into by this flaming bolder. That was a hot sensation and it took a heavy toll on the pooch. It felt like most of its strength had been sapped away in that singular hit... what a powerful strike! But this wasn't over yet! So long as Poochyena had a single breath left in its body, it'd take death over dishonor any day! Picking itself off the ground and shaking of the white powdery snow, it retaliated with a Tackle attack! It would've personally like to give it a bite, but Poocheyna has been around the block a few times... how exactly it knew this, not even it knew, but dark type moves weren't very effective against fighting type Pokemon. Still, it was going to give out whatever it could while it can. Battle

((Gonna do something strange, but I want the levels pretty quick.)) Justin watched in awe as the new bodied Rhoan completely obliterated the competition, even going as far as almost knocking out the Poochyena. It was a fighter though, which made Justin admire it even more. A pokeball sat at his side, ready to take the toss. Rhoan heard the click and instinctively went off to the side, but something made him choose to dig down in his pocket for a new team member he'd recently acquired. It was incredibly adorable, and he figured he might as well share some of the experience throughout the whole team, no? Rhoan was plenty strong, and perhaps this strange plan of Justin's would work. Let's go, Simba. He said, tossing the Pokeball. The new Pokemon, slightly weaker than the adversary that was, well, weak, let out a little cry while tufts of static and electricity coursed through his body. He let out a little call, which might have been an attempt at a roar, before waiting for his commands. Hold on, Simba. You won't be attacking this battle. I'm trying something. He said, taking out the Pokeball and tossing it with ease. The ball soared, but within the time Justin had taken, Simba was probably about to get attacked. Either way, the ball hit the target and sucked the dog into the Pokeball. Now all they had to do was wait. Wait until something happened. Although, Simba looked a bit disappointed. ((Recap. Switched out Pignite for Shinx. Then attempted to catch Poochyena. I just want the +3 levels. ))

Simba hopped out of the pokeball and gave a small little growl, ready to attack the other pokemon with its cuteness. It was surprised when its trainer hadn’t called an attack for it to do. It looked towards Justin with a confused look upon its face, wondering what Justin was planning. Poochyena hid its face in its paws. That pokemon was so scary! However scary any pokemon was, Poochyena didn’t give up on a fight! The small dark dog pokemon rushed toward the little electric type and tackled it, sending it flying backwards.
Simba got back up and walked back towards Justin. “Shiiinx” he said in a sad voice. That mean dog hurt poor Simba! Justin pulled out a pokeball and tossed it at the dark type pokemon. Simba was a little angry that Justin had tried catching that mean doggy! The ball wobbled once….twice…..three times! The ball made its little confirmation ding saying that the capture was complete. Shinx gave a satisfied growl, he was happy for Justin catching a new member. Maybe this pokemon wouldn’t be so bad after all, Simba barely knew it afterall. All of the sudden a white light engulfed Simba and it he started growing. Simba's evolution was beginning! Simba gained 3 levels and is now level 16!
Rhoan gained 1 level and is now level 18!

Justin's plan was executed perfectly, despite the pang in his heart. He couldn't stand to see Simba hurt, but it was for his own good. It was his first battle, and even though he was already a high enough level, it was good to bring in the humility. That, and he was about to gain some massive experience. The Poochyena stayed in it's ball, meaning a successful capture. Not that Justin minded that at all. It was something else he could sell in his shop, or send to his Conservation Center. Though he wanted to find a new home for the dog as soon as possible.
Speaking of dogs, which made no sense because Shinx is a feline creature, Justin passed his gaze over to the little Shinx. A white evolution light was engulfing him. Perfect. All according to plan. Simba passed Justin a glance, wondering if his trainer would stop him, but when he merely dipped his head to the feline, Simba knew he could continue with his evolution. His paws became longer, his body larger and stronger, his hair bigger, and everything else, actually. When he was finished, Shinx was there no more. Instead? A Luxio. Justin whistled through his teeth and bent down to pet the newly evolved Pokemon. Got yer little right of passage there. Welcome to the team, Simba. He ruffled the feline's hair.
There wasn't much time to celebrate though. Justin's hands were still shaking from the cold, and he was continuing to make his way back to the Pokemon center to rest up and thaw out. But of course, it was far away, leaving them plenty of time to accumulate more wild Pokemon battles. Which was okay in some sense, but annoying in others. He needed all the training he could get for Bugsy, although Rhoan would do well in the battle. Hopefully. If she didn't get pig-headed. (bad pun is bad).
