Route 34 | Tibby didn't waste too much time when he was sent out of his Pokeball. The Pokemon began running, the ground tearing beneath him as he headed towards Ponyta. The Horse let out a whinny, trying to move, but it found that it could not get out of the way in time of the barreling shiny, and was knocked to the ground by the force of the body that rammed into it.
Shaking off, it stood back up, weakly rearing up and charging the Nidoking. It didn't want to lose, but the situation seemed bleak. Upon getting to him, it lifted again in a rear, then came down as hard as it could on Tibby's foot in a stomp attack. Well, some good that it did, because the Pokemon didn't seem so interested in what had just unfolded.

The ground beneath her feet was shaking fairly hard from Tiberius' attack, nearly knocking Tanya over. Luckily for her, it was over a moment later, especially after her Nidoking let out a low roar of pain as his foot was ungracefully stomped upon. He hobbled out of reach, glaring spitefully at the Ponyta before whirling round to stare at his trainer. Tiberius required vengeance, pronto, and hopefully Tanya would be wise enough to indulge him. Unfortunately the girl seemed preoccupied with her bag again, unzipping a section of it to retrieve an unused Poké Ball.
"Sorry to put a damper on your roaring rampage of revenge, but I'm not going to waste this opportunity," Tanya said with a wan smile, ignoring the angry huff Tiberius let out as he turned away. She'd have to find a way to make this up to him later. Enlarging the ball with a quick press of the button, Tanya stepped to the side to get a better shot at her target, pulling her arm back. "Here goes nothing!" As she sent the ball flying with a swift toss, she could only hope the capture was a success.

It was a catastrophic sight. The sheer brutality of the Nidoking laying waste to whatever unfortunate soul it had been pitted against. In this case, the unfortunate soul was a Ponyta and sadly nothing in its arsenal would allow it to safely defend it or counter the rampaging brute. Having faced the full wrath of its bulldoze and its stomping barely even hurting the enemy, the Ponyta had now succumbed to the pits of despair. In such a state along with almost complete depletion of its stamina, it was near enough ripe for the taking. Clearly aware of this, Tanya's Pokeball went flying forward as she positioned herself better to get a good shot at the Pokemon. Soaring through the air, it was at least opportune that the Pokeball would spare the flaming horse a painful end at the hands of Tiberius overwhelming strength. Enshrouding the wild horse in its glow, it absorbed it into its open centre before clicking shut and clanging to the ground. Rocking back and forth, it began processing the newly acquired Pokemon. Once... Twice... Thrice...

Tiberius watched the ball like a hawk, ready to pounce upon the poor Ponyta if it decided to break free. But when it ceased shaking, his expression soured. Tanya let out the breath she'd been holding, grateful for a quick capture. Walking over to him, she gently patted his arm and waited until he finally looked at her. "Cheer up big guy, we'll find you a nice battle around here somewhere," Tanya said with a grin. Tiberius huffed in response, but seemed mollified by her promise.
Recalling him to his ball, she straightened up and peered around again. If the local Pokémon were playing hard to get, perhaps seeking out another trainer would yield better results. Not like they would be too deterred by a bit of rain. Resuming her earlier humming, Tanya waded into the damp grass, scrunching up her nose at the sickening squelch of her boots sinking in the mud. "Just what I needed..." the trainer muttered to herself, glaring at the offending substance trying to bog down her progress.
Several fruitless minutes of traversing the sodden landscape later, Tanya sighed as her feet hit solid ground. Maybe it would just be easier to wait around and hope someone would find her. (It'd be less messy, too...) Decision made, Tanya stretched out her arms before folding them behind her head, still humming quietly to herself.
((Leaving the info blank, going to offer it in my shop ~ Edit: in case it's not clear, I'm looking for a trainer battle. No one specific, lol))

The sounds of battle warmed the Policeman's heart. Of course, Keith always had to be on guard to make sure everything on Route 34 was running smoothly. He'd find the occasional gang attempting to form, although it was usually the dumb kids from Goldenrod. There was the one man who attempted to wrestle the wild Pokemon so that he could 'level up,' and he was usually brought in for the night. Kids would battle, but when there was a sore loser, Keith would step in and lay down the law. Teach the kids good sportsman ship. So, of course, as Keith watched the Nidoking lay waste to the Ponyta, he eyed the trainer with a hint of distaste. Why wasn't she training somewhere else with that hulking monster? He kept close tabs on her, making sure that she wasn't about to destroy poor, innocent Rattata's as part of her daily destruction, but it seemed as though she was looking for a trainer instead. Well, who was he to deny her? Despite the rain, he figured his Pokemon would enjoy the battle. "Miss? Uh, Miss!"Keith called out, sloshing through the mud and water to get to Tanya's side. "Are you finding everything okay? You look like you might want a battle. I saw you uh, destroying that Ponyta, so I figured I could probably give you a harder challenge?"The officer gave her a small salute, before pulling out his Pokeball and sending out his Growlithe. The canine materialized in front of him, immediately becoming soaked by the rain. Growlithe shot his trainer a look, but turned to face Tanya nonetheless. He didn't become a police dog to be kicked off the force for refusing a battle, after all. Officer Keith wants to battle! He sends out Growlithe! (Level 25) What will you do?

The sound of sloshing footsteps had her ceasing humming, looking round as the uniformed man approached. Her gaze was apprehensive, wondering if she'd somehow gotten into trouble over her battle with the Ponyta she'd just captured. He certainly wasn't approaching her because of her appearance; sodden sweatshirt coat, rain-splattered jeans and muddied boots. Not exactly the clothing a wanna-be thug would wear. Tanya tucked her hands into the pockets of her coat and flashed a smile at the officer.
She was relieved she wasn't in trouble, but frowned slightly at his wording of her earlier battle. "I wouldn't say I, ah... destroyed it. Tiberius is just a bit enthusiastic," Tanya replied meekly. (He's just a big grump. Probably because of what a bright blue hide he has...) Gently tossing Tiberius' ball up and down, the trainer felt a grin slide into place at his request. Oh, she was always game for a battle. "A challenge, eh? Hope you don't mind meeting the troublemaker himself then," Tanya replied, letting the shiny Nidoking free from his ball once again.
'Very wise of you, girl. I like those who keep their promises,' Tiberius rumbled, claws flexing as he faced the officer and his Growlithe. Tanya raised a single brow, not sure of what her Nidoking had just said, but accepting it as him being satisfied with the battle that had come their way. Taking a couple steps back, Tanya raised her hand and flicked out her fingers, the familiar pose pure habit at this point. "Alright Tiberius, hit 'em up with a Bulldoze!" came her command, the Nidoking uttering a low roar as he charged to obey it.

At first, the cop wasn't thinking this would be too terrible. He wasn't the best trainer, as in, he didn't usually have the time to spend grinding Pokemon levels and lurking in the grass to better his team, but he had fun with it. However, when the young girl mentioned something about sending out the hulking behemoth he'd seen earlier, nervous glances between he and his Pokemon were immediately swapped. Gulping, the officer watched as Tiberius loomed over his side of the battlefield. Keith's Growlithe growled, although it was hard to tell who the hound was directing it to. "Haha... uh, no worries. Yeah, we can totally take him on." The police officer replied, attempting to hide his nervousness. He'd just picked the wrong fight, that was all. They'd be laughing at this over dinner... as soon as the rest of the force was finished laughing at him for being beat by not only the young female, but by her big hulking monster as well. He had to admit, the size difference between the hound and the Nidoking was slightly comical. Not enough to make him feel better as the Nidoking prepared itself to Bulldoze straight through the pair. Now would be a good time to tell an attack, right? As the Nidoking bulldozed towards the pair, ready to squash the Growlithe like a bug, Keith managed to stutter out a "Fire Fang! Hurry!" before Nidoking arrived. Flames licked around the jowls of Growlithe, who bit into Nidoking for a decent chunk of damage before it was paid back in full by the blue beast. Growlithe was thrown to the ground in all senses of the word, before trodden and bulldozed upon by the Nidoking, who returned to his respective side. Keith's Growlithe - Level |25| Health: 20/70 Current Status: I want some Potions for Christmas -1 Speed Successful Fire Fang... It thinks.
Tanya's Tiberius - Level | 21| Health: 47/71 Current Status: Successful Bulldoze

The officer's uneasiness upon seeing Tiberius appear went completely over Tanya's head. Then again, the drizzle was consistent enough that perhaps she'd simply mistaken his apprehensive look for something else. Her Nidoking really wasn't all that scary; just big. Really, really big. But as long as he didn't go off on unauthorized rampages, she was fine with him going all out in battles. What better way to work off some steam? Tanya winced when she saw the Growlithe leap forwards with a maw full of fire, biting down on the charging Tiberius' leg - the same one that had been stomped upon earlier.
'WHY MUST YOU VERMIN ATTACK MY FEET?!' the blue Nidoking bellowed as he completed his attack and stomped back over to Tanya. His flawless hide was now marred by the fiery bite, and his pain had multiplied tenfold from its previous injury. But he was not so weak as to let such pitiful attacks deter him from finishing a fight; if anything, it only made him more determined. "You alright Tibby?" Tanya's voice inquired as she stepped into his line of sight. Glowering at his opponent, Tiberius looked over at her and inclined his head.
Pride filled him as a bright smile appeared on her face, knowing she was impressed by his fortitude. "That's the spirit ~" Tanya laughed, shifting her gaze back to the Growlithe. "Let's show them how strong we really are. Another Bulldoze!" Perhaps she ought to feel bad, Tanya mused as Tiberius moved to attack, that the officer had decided to challenge her of all people. The bookworm from Blackthorn was no slouch at battles.

Growlithe panted happily to itself, despite the rain, when it's attack irritated the Nidoking to such extent. Keith couldn't help but smile and give his hound a pat for such a job well done. Perhaps the hulking monster wasn't as hard to beat as it had seemed? Either way, there was another round, which meant another chance to turn things around in their own favor. "I think we can pull this out of the hat, as long as that Nidoking misses. Think you can dodge?" The Officer suggested, and the canine only blinked. How could you dodge something that large? "Don't think about how large he is. Instead, think about how small you are! Make yourself hard to hit!" The officer suggested. His interesting take on the battle had given Growlithe an idea, so after their pow-wow, the Growlithe seemed to have a bit more confidence. Even when facing the Nidoking. It growled angrily, and even attempted to go first. However, Tiberius wasn't about to have that. The Bulldoze was in progress, as was the Fire Fang. Fire licked at the jowls of the Pokemon, and time seemed to slow as Growlithe missed the opportune moment to bite Tiberius. Think small, think small... The Growlithe thought to itself when it missed the attack. If it made itself smaller, it became harder to hit, right? So, Growlithe did it's best to contract and contort itself to as small as it could be, out of the path of Tiberius. However, all the Nidoking had to do was deviate to the side to still hit the crouching hound. Keith's palm rose up to his face as he returned the dog. "You shouldn't take everything I say literally..." He told the Growlithe, before digging into his pocket and grabbing some money to hand over for winning. "You did great! And your Nidoking is good too. He looks happy, well, as happy as something intimidating and large as he can look, I guess." Keith handed her the money. "Don't stay out too late, they've got this whole Gauntlet thing going on around here, and the trainers get really rough. Wouldn't want anyone getting hurt.." Keith waved as he walked back to the city to heal his Pokemon and get back on patrol. Keith's Growlithe - Level |25| Health: 0/70 Current Status: Mother of god.. -2 Speed
Tanya's Tiberius - Level | 21| Health: 47/71 Current Status: Successful Bulldoze
Officer Keith hands over £680. Congratulations! Tiberius has defeated Police Officer Keith and Growlithe! Tiberius gains +4 Levels, due to Lucky Egg! Tiberius gains +1 Happiness. Tiberius is trying to learn Chip Away. Delete a move to make room for Chip Away?

The early mists of dawn had just dissipated when Tanya strolled out of the city, tugging her jacket a little closer to keep warm. Autumn was just around the corner, judging by the bite of cold in the air, and part of her was grateful. Stifling heat was something she wasn't accustomed to, even with how long she had been traveling. Another change in her day was where the redhead was walking: up to Route 35. (I think the wildlife on Route 34 hates me by now. May as well hope for some good battles here.) Despite the late night she'd had, Tanya felt oddly energetic; perhaps the thrilling set of battles weren't going to fade from her memories so quickly.
It brought a smile to her face to recall the fun she'd had in the Gauntlet. And the TM she'd been given had been used on a Pokémon who would definitely put it to good use. One she hoped she would be able to train as she continued her leisurely walk on the route, glancing round at the various cries and sounds of the wildlife hiding just out of sight. Maybe luck would favour her again here, and bring forth some interesting encounters... and also keep Aster and Tiberius from fighting again. Having both of them on her team was bound to end badly, but training was something too crucial to ignore because of their hatred of one another. (Then again, it was their squabbling that led me to the Gauntlet in the first place...)
"Bah, enough worrying," Tanya muttered to herself, giving her head a fierce shake. Getting lost in thought wasn't exactly on the top of her agenda for the day, especially if a Pokémon tried to get the jump on her. Stopping in place, Tanya brushed her hair back from her face and took in her surroundings, gaze watchful as it skirted over the grass. North of her position was the building that led to the National Park, a destination she was determined to reach once her desire to train was satisfied. Behind her lay the city, and aside from the well worn path trod upon by many a trainer, it seemed like her only company would be the abundant grass - for now.
((OOC: I would like to swap Tempesta out for Astrid the Sandile. And also to have Drain Punch taught to Aster in place of Growl. To clarify, Tanya is on Route 35 and waiting for an encounter or battle ~))

Standing amidst the wave of grass that stood between the exit of the metropolis, Goldenrod City and the entrance to the gate which led to the National Park, the route was fairly short with nothing of immense value within it at a glance. Numerous trainers often wandered the path, hoping to bump into others who had recently defeated the local Gym Leader, Whitney and have a battle worth remembering. But Tanya had diverted from the path and instead went exploring through the tall grass, where wild Pokemon lurked. Much tougher than any wild foes she had probably faced so far, the Pokemon that stalked the red head secretly, hiding within the protection of the wilderness, were often looking for fights, many just levels off from their evolution which caused them to act violently. So already, despite the area coming across as serene and quiet, several creatures had their eyes on the female, ready to pounce without a moments hesitation. With a blow of the cool air that floated across the route and swayed the grass gently, it was only a moment before something big and bad would rise to the challenge. Or not.
Enjoying the clear skies but not so much the blood chilling breeze that accompanied it was a fairly laid back Pokemon, drifting along the breeze with little care to those who surrounded it. With the power of flight, it would often skim over the heads of trainers, watching battles as they took place below, often scoffing at how weak they were. For this Pokemon, it took pride in it's strength and would only ever approach worthy looking trainers. Atleast once a day it would find itself being chased due to it's rarity but the Pokemon did not care, as it would continue to flee until it found something to match it's majestic being. Red shell glimmering against the sun and elegant, thin wings beating faster than the eye could see, the Pokemon was that of a Yanma. Scooting through the air with a snobby demeanour, it soon began to descend into the depths of the route, landing on a tree stump in the centre of the grass.
Wriggling it's tail, the bug suddenly picked up at a hint of movement. Turning it's head and blinking it's eyes, the bug was ready to jump at a moments notice, until it actually took in the sight of what was approaching. Eyes glittering as the breeze blew past and flicked Tanya's luscious red hair to the side, the Pokemon became awed by the beautiful shade of red which rivalled that of it's own red shell casing. Remaining on the spot, it kept it's stare locked onto Tanya, mesmerized by the red locks she possessed.
A wild Yanma (Level 27) has appeared! Please select a Pokemon to use in battle.

Tanya didn't know what was watching, but the sensation had her skin prickling. Despite keeping her eyes continuously roving, nothing seemed to want to spring out at her, which was relieving and irritating at the same time. Wading into the grass seemed to be the only sensible idea, but being unable to shake that odd sensation of unease prevented Tanya from taking another step. Perhaps the Pokémon on this route were stronger than those she'd battled prior, and were simply waiting for the right chance to strike. The thought had her hand reaching for her messenger bag, slipping into it and pulling out one of her Pokémon; it never hurt to be prepared for anything.
A short wait later yielded nothing aside from the faint hum of an insect's wings and a stab of disappointment. "Oh come on!" Tanya spat, lifting her head to scowl at the heavens. As she looked back down, a glint of colour snagged her attention, causing her to turn towards it. How she had missed the shiny carapace of the Yanma before, Tanya didn't know, but there was no chance she was passing this opportunity up. This particular Yanma was scarcely moving, seeming oddly fixated on... something. With a light smile, the redhead cautiously approached, hand still clutching the ball she'd grabbed earlier. "Aren't you a cute Yanma? Such a pretty shell you have," she murmured, hoping it wouldn't flee as she released her Pokémon.
Nyx sprang free from the ball, wings fanning out wide as the imperious Honchkrow relished her freedom. "To be cooped up for so long... for shame, my dear Tanya. But I will forgive you this slight," Nyx said, chuckling at her own benevolence. With her back to Tanya, she missed the exaggerated eye roll and subsequent sighing. Despite becoming much stronger, Nyx's motor mouth had remained intact. "Don't be so high and mighty, Nyx. You're here to battle, not chastise me. Less talky, more fight-y. Wing Attack, pronto," Tanya spoke, flicking her fingers at Nyx as the bird turned towards her with a scornful expression. Clamping her beak firmly shut, Nyx beat her wings hard to ascend, angling towards the captivated Yanma to begin her attack.

Remaining still on the tree trunk as Tanya also caught a glimpse of the Yanma, the bug tilted it's head to the side curiously as she spoke quietly but to the bug type, her words were loud and clear. Particularly sensitive to sound and sight, the dragonfly like creature had not met a character with such vibrant hair. For Yanma, the colours of it's world were so much more varied and in depth in comparison to a human, which was probably why it had become entranced by her so quickly. Usually it was surrounded by the same dull shades of brown and green but to have something which shared it's own colouring had instantly caught it's interest. Tail lifting up and down in time with the breeze, the Yanma clicked it's fangs together, watching Tanya as she began to cautiously approach. Also drawn to the bug type, maybe due to it's own vivid colour or rarity, she had prepared herself earlier and held a ball tightly in her fingertips. Not looking to fly away anywhere fast, it seemed that today the Yanma was finally going to get it's wish, to find a worthy opponent.
With a throw of the ball, a large, dark crow emerged, yet another unusual sight. Instantly taking a disliking due to her dark colouring, the Yanma clicked once again, this time with disapproval. Still, it wasn't going to say no to a fight as, as usual, it would come out victorious and without a single scratch. Confident enough, the Yanma still remained in the same place, eyes focused on Nyx as she spread her wings and took a low flight, shooting straight towards the wild bug. Leaving any evasive manoeuvres until the very last moment, right before Nyx's eyes the Yanma disappeared, leaving her to trip over the surface of the tree trunk but land again. Raising her head, she looked around to see what the bug had disappeared off too but with incredible speed, it formed right behind her. With all it's might, the Yanma crashed it's shelled body into the back of the dark avian, causing her to trip forward in surprise but the damage was barely anything.
Turning with a glint to her eye, the Yanma flinched. It was very rare that an opponent would survive against it's speedy moves, so how was the Honchkrow still standing? With the bug now in her sights, Nyx was quick to lift herself back up into the air and dart towards the hovering dragonfly. Stretching out her wing, she made a swift, diagonal strike in mid air with her wing, which instantly clashed against the body of Yanma. It was this moment, that the bug realised it was much more delicate than it thought. Falling straight out of the air, the Yanma landed against the floor on it's back, legs curling inwards protectively as parts of it's body flinched, still absorbing the pain it had just received. Humiliated with that strike alone, the Yanma still had a bit of fight left in it, despite it's confidence taking a bit of a hit. Visibly shaken, it tried to think of a way to turn this battle around.

Perhaps sensing the dragonfly's dislike, Nyx narrowed her eyes on the stationary critter, almost sneering at it. It didn't look like a very powerful Pokémon to her, and why Tanya had sent her out against something that was more akin to prey was beyond her. But orders were orders, and the Honchkrow was not one to disobey no matter her mood. As Nyx drew in close for the strike, her target suddenly vanished in the blink of an eye, not a trace of it to be seen. Tanya and Nyx wore twin expressions of utmost surprise, having not expected the last second dodge. But while Nyx collected herself, her trainer watched the Yanma reappear and rush at her Pokémon's back, a cry of warning leaving her lips just a moment too late.
"To attack a lady in such a fashion! Shame on you!" Nyx cried out, retaliating with a powerful blow from her wings that left the Yanma reeling. Only she was allowed to pull such dirty tactics to win, as was becoming of a true Dark-type. The Honchkrow wheeled round in the air, soaring back over to Tanya without a backwards glance at her pain-riddled foe. "Did you really have to hit it so hard?" Tanya asked with a raised brow. A derisive sound was her reply, Nyx still seething over the battle's course and her trainer's earlier comments. Rolling her eyes, Tanya turned her attention back to the Yanma, pondering if it was weak enough for capture.
As she pawed through her bag for a spare ball, Nyx uttered a hoarse caw upon realizing what the redhead was doing. "Surely you're not going to capture such a weakling?" she demanded, pausing to hover over her trainer's head. "Very astute of you, Nyx. Your powers of observation dazzle me," Tanya replied, her tone deeply sarcastic. Palming the Great Ball she'd taken from her bag, the girl took a few steps forwards to get the Yanma in her sights. "Here goes nothing!" Tanya muttered to herself, letting the device fly with an expert toss. Nyx shook her head, muttering choice words as she landed on the ground.

Yanma had to admit, while looks were quite the factor when it came to bug Pokemon, they could easily deceive. Yanma hadn't expected to get itself into such a one-sided altercation. What had started with mere glances at a human's hair had turned into so much more, and from such a deceptive creature. No matter how Yanma attempted to wrap it's head around Nyx, such a beautiful creature... one didn't expect Nyx to hit like a truck. And yet, here Yanma was, battered and bruised. The Bug Pokemon mourned it's battered shell with a hint of narcissism. It's battle tactics seemed to revolve around the same personality trait, though. The mere shock of the swapped moves seemed to shake the Pokemon to it's core. Buzzing it's wings, Yanma flicked it's head to the side, watching Tanya and the dark bird with curiosity, and a sense of dread. As powerful as it was, Yanma's strong shell was nothing against the bird's power, even if it was just an eyesore. However, Yanma had yearned for a good battle, and was given exactly what it had asked for. This time the bug had bitten off more than it could chew. It would still face it's fate with the same pride it took in it's shell. But, instead of an attack, the trainer had a different plan. The woman stepped forward, as if the roles had been reversed and she was about to battle. But, no... instead, she threw a Pokeball. Yanma liked Pokeballs. The red and white contrast stuck out in battles, but this one was different. Instead, it was blue, red and white. Practically mesmerized by the colors, Yanma forgot about it's aching body and dirty shell to watch the capsule as it approached. The thousands of colors it saw swirled in front of it, but before it could snap back to reality, it was snapped into the Pokeball. Despite it's thrashes, the poor bug was just too tired to carry up much of a fight. Instead, three shakes was all it took before the proud bug had been captured. Successful capture! Nyx fought with grace and power, and gained 3 Levels for her efforts, and +1 Happiness! She is now level 24! Congratulations! Wild Yanma has been captured!
