Side Quest Rules:
While on a side quest, your Pokémon will not be healed automatically so any damage or non-volatile status ailments (Freeze, Burn, Paralysis, Poison, Sleep) will be carried into the next battle (if more than one are involved). Hence, the only way to heal your Pokemon is through the use of items until you’ve completed the side quest.
You may pull out of the quest only in between battles but must start from the beginning again if you wish to try again. Items that you received the first time prior to pulling out will not be available the second time round. You cannot complete the quest multiple times unless there is a written exception.
Note, that you cannot already have a thread open before starting a side quest so finish your current thread and start a new thread in this sub-board to begin.
Where The Wild Things Are
Must have completed the Burnt Tower sidequest, Legendary Trio
Exploring around the north of Cianwood's area, it becomes noticeable that not all is what it seems. Generally a sparsely populated area thanks to the free falling boulders from the mountain, there are signs of footprints etched in the sandy pathways. What's most surprising is that these footprints are very large and are highly evocative of dog like paw prints. What's more is that the patterns seem to have three distinct owners. Deciding to investigate, it's not long before the culprits are found.
Nestled in a natural tear in the rock formation of the mountain slumber the trio of mythical beasts which were last encountered in Ecruteak's Burnt Tower. Resting in this rocky alcove, it would appear they are unaware of your presence. This soon changes however as a disturbance from the mountain up above sends a cascade of rogue boulders falling down from its craggy peak. Now alerted by the impending shower of rocks, the legendary beasts hustle out of harm's way.
Finally becoming aware of your presence, the trio stand firm as they sense your improved strength as a trainer. Deciding that the best way to ascertain your new skills is through that of battling, one of the group steps forward in a bid to challenge you. (PLEASE NOTE: These Pokemon are not obtainable as they are holding back their full strength and can easily bat away capture devices):

Suicune: Lvl 40
Raikou: Lvl 40
Entei: Lvl 40
Upon claiming victory against the respective beast, the trio look to one another but flee towards the horizon in unison. Before their sudden escape can even set in, the sound of running footsteps behind yourself alerts you to the arrival of another trainer. His fancy clothes and slicked hair are highly familiar, it's none other than Eusine who had guided you through Burnt Tower when you first encountered the trio. Annoyed that he had been but a second late to witness the beasts in action, he decides to challenge you as a means of proving himself worthy of their attention.
Drowzee♂: Lvl 38
Haunter♂: Lvl 39
Electrode: Lvl 40
Upon defeating the eccentric trainer, he will regret his misfortune once more at missing his chance to see the legendary beasts up close. Congratulating you on an improved performance to what he had witnessed in Burnt Tower, he hands you a gift in the form of HM05 Whirlpool. Saying his farewells, the mystery man departs in the hope to chase down the legendary beasts.
