Hey Gais! So I do a lot of Scetching and drawing and I color a lot with colored pencils. I am wanting to find markers, other than the kids artsy ones or sharpies to be able to color pictures with. Does anyone have an suggestions at all?

Yay! I always love me some traditional artists<3 After drawing a year of flowers, I'm kind of having a traditional drawing hiatus but there are so many tools I would like to get back into using.. One day, maybe. xP Since I live in the UK, you will probably have things what I dont and vice versa, so all I can suggest is looking in your local arts and crafts store. Unfortunately art materials can be REALLY expensive, so practicing with cheaper stuff first always helps.
For coloured pencils, I always used Faber Castels back in college for delicate colouring on shells and flowers, they always had pretty and vibrate hues. I think the pack were called 48 Classic Colour Pencils. Something what we dont have in the UK but I keep hearing are good are Prisma Colours. For Markers, I was really lucky and Joe bought me a box of Copic Markers, which I'm hopefully going to collect more of and the colours and way they blend together is AMAZING<3 Water Colours and black Quink Ink work wonders for me too, it's literally just experimenting and stuff... Gah, sorry, I just like, cant suggest an exact brand lmao. ;__;
If you have any spare time, I suggest looking at traditional artists on deviantart aswell. Most of the time they will have a FAQ about what materials they use and then you can try to mimic their style until you feel comfortable enough to find your own. I found a few people I particularly like;

Yeah... I prefer Digital with CTRL+Z to undo when I go wrong LMAO! Traditional artists are amazing~

I don't know my left hand from my right in terms of art and all that but even I know copic markers are held in quite high regard, just as Lex and Morri both mentioned. Morri's also shown me some really awesome copic pieces that I actually had trouble telling whether it was digital or traditional. Of course that's likely someone who has dedicated their life to them but from the sounds of it, you can't go too wrong... Shame about their price though.

Whoo! Okay I am really glad I asked cause now I have some art supplies to strive for xD I am also hoping to get into a little more digital art when I finally obtain my own laptop hopefully by the end of the summer which summer around here is getting closer! Cause I have 19 more school day left as a junior!
But I am sidetracking myself. I am hoping to start drawing traditional art for around here when I have time in the evenings! I'll open a shop with some ideas as soon as I finish them! (whole reason I was asking about art supplies) so life is good, art is fun! And I am rambling xD thanks so much you guys! And if you have any hints tips tricks or just wanna talk about drawing and art I am willing to listen! (;

If you need really high-quality colored pencils, I use Prismacolor, and my choice of marker is definitely BIC. I have two packs, both 32- one fine point and one extra-fine point. They have a lot of shades of colors, and they're really high quality and long lasting. 32 Markers are about 25 dollars. As for the Prismacolor, where I buy them, they are about 1.50 per pencil. Not exactly cheap, but VERY high quality.

Yeah we've got some of those Prisma color markers at my school, like a huge box of them. But they are expensive so we're only allowed to use them for certain projects

You guys I am so proud! I couldn't fall asleep last night so I grabbed a piece of paper and my sketch pencils and just started drawing! I am so pleased with this photo!
I actually had to grab a book I had gotten for christmas with horse photography to look at to get the foals proportions correct!
It took me maybe a hour to get it all shaded out and maybe a 20 or 30 minutes to get it sketched out!
But what do ya guys think!

Also I don't know how good the resolution is since I took it and posted it with my iPod so I appologize in advance. Attachments:

I currently using copic markers in this regard.These markers have high quality inks that are checked 4 times for accuracy in manufacturing.The high quality construction of the marker includes also a tight fitting cap and clearly printed identification code of colours . This will be helpful for you...
