Yeah I remember the first time that me and a group of friends tried it out for the first time... man that was disasterous. I would say that I started to DM the fall of my sophomore year but I at least had some friend that had much more experience than I did so they made the transition semi-easy... if they weren't harassing the sheriff and the local town folks... God I laughed a little bit but man did I head desk a lot.

Endworld is a desolate stretch of land, where time no longer flows properly and dying worlds leave their final mark in existence. Endworld was once part of a great kingdom and was connected to the land known as midworld by a grand rail way, and the land was protected by honor bound gunslingers, great knights of justice whom served the royal crown. The land was once a prosperous and filled with life, until one day a great quake roared out and the ground fell away, severing the railway and leaving a small part of endworld floating alone in a void. Some say it's been 10 years since the end, some say it's been a thousand in a way they are both right. Bit by bit the world is dying, as the residents cling to life in a world that doesn't want to live.
The sun no longer shines, the land has grown barren, the only remaining forest is rife with savage monsters making it too dangerous to explore. Very air it’s self is oppressive and heavy, as if the world is trying to close in around you. A handful of magical orbs, the only manner in which towns can grow their meager crop exist as precious resources that people have and also will kill for, and as time continues to march in its awkward loop they only grow fewer in number. In order to survive people search for and scavenge shards of otherworld’s that have met their end as they connect with end world, leaving behind small ghost towns, or even dangerous monsters only to disappear again over night, those unlucky enough to find themselves alive in endworld after their own world has expired must eke out a living however they can.
Aria; the fabled city of endworld, the only functional remnant of the time before the world moved on and died. A city where none may enter without invitation, with walls taller than any man or beast no one really knows what lays within, only that a summon into the city must surely be better than the dying world.
Your journey begins in the small remote town of Selia, on the eastern side of Endworld. Barely a hundred people live in this town, a single glowing orb that can barely produce meager crops to sustain the village for a short time. Instead the small town relies on sending its best out to gather scraps from the shards of other worlds that pass through Endworld, stock piling everything they need to survive and trading the rest to a caravan that passes by once every so often. The life they live is a harsh one, and it is also the only one they can manage. As the strongest, and most able of the villagers your role is certainly the most vital to the survival of the village as you are sent out to scavenge what you can so that both you and your home may live another day.
This is the intro to my upcoming D&D, what do you guys think?

Hmmm... it's very... I don't want to say Fallout but the survival and cruelty of the world would seem Fallout-ish. Anyways I like the idea of the Endworld and using the term, "Dog eat Dog" world idea. Reading it gave me this idea of a fantasy world now isolated in a void 'sea' as it's slowly dying away. And already I like how it sets you for important even if it's such a big deal for a small town. Kinda beats my island nation theme that I'm cooking up for a project. XD

Other then the fact that my game is sort of apocalyptic in a dead world, there is no connection to fall out, at least from my view point. The two are vastly different, I think mine is a bit more harsh then the Fall out series, at least the two newest games. Still, haha I am glad that you enjoyed it I probably won't get a chance to play it for like three more weeks though sadly.

Sorry about the connection I made to Fall Out but unfortunately that's the only apocalyptic game I know of so that was the first thing that would pop into my mind. It seems upsetting that you won't get a chance to use it but would it be rude to ask how come?

It's not rude at all haha... basically we were supposed to play a couple of times before my friend had to leave. He works on a passenger ferry live on for two weeks at a time, however when game time comes, one of the groups girl friend(ohboyherewego.jpg) just wasn't in the mood, and after a lot of blah blah blah's the game got postponed. Now my friend is gone and he is a vital part of the group and everyone wants to wait for his return... but it still sucks that because of her no D&D for nearly a month and I've been D&D less for ...well 5-6 months at least...GAH!

Unfortunately for me... I have to wait until I get back to college before I do anything cause most of my friends around my house don't do DnD but my friends at college do. So I've got a while to wait.

I'm curious, has anyone played the World of darkness pen and paper game? I'm really interested in them but I've never tried nor do I know anyone who has.
I've been looking into trying a new system either the world of darkness, or a mega man XD20 system based on the star wars system. I might buy the world of darkness Vampire: The Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition ... and try maybe to play one of them online.
