I was goofing the news for upcoming PS3 games yesterday when I came accross an article that said Capcom is going to rerelease Okami but on the PS3 with updated graphics. Trophies. And Move support. As some of you may know I am a huge Okami fan so I nearly shit myself in excitement.
Is anyone else looking forward to Okami coming to the PS3? I loved it myself and saw it as the greatest PS2 exclusive ever made. Sorry about this being a bit short since I am on my IPod but as soon as I get a chance to use a regular computer I will add the screenshot the article posted as well as other details.

I saw pictures and such about this game and got interested right away. What is it about anyway?

Not exactly PS2 Exclusive as it is out on the Wii. :3c
But Okami is an amazing game, I didn't know it was being re-released and updated for the PS3 but damn, I can share your excitement, March. It's an absolutely beautiful game and when I first turned it on, I remember not being able to put it down. The story is so gripping and that characters have so much care and personality put into them<3 Their sequel, Okamiden for the DS, was just as amazing. I still haven't completed it but damn, it's just as amazing and beautiful as the first plus that bit cuter!
As for what it's about, well, it's very VERY much circled around Japanese mythology. You are pretty much playing as the Sun Goddess, Amaterasu who has taken the form of a white wolf. It's pretty much one of those every one hundred years a demon pops out type of story. You play as Amaterasu and restore the land to its former beauty as demons have invaded and Orochi is trying to reawaken, or something along those lines. I dont really want to say much, it's best to go check something like Wikipedia if you are interested in giving it a shot, I guess. There is just so much to say about this game but now that I know it's coming to PS3, I'm just too busy sitting here in awe. *O*

MORRI HOW DARE YOU FORGET TO INCLUDE THE AMAZING MUSIC
I learned of this while listening to Okami tracks on YouTube... Must say, this is one time I wish I owned a PS3. I still have my working PS2 copy around but nothing to play it on (and I won't play the Wii version even if I found it)

I totally forgot about the Wii port until Morrigan brought it up. I do recall getting a Wii copy from the library and both me and my brother struggled to get the motion control to work correctly which is probably why I forgot about it being ported to the Wii.
One thing I did see was the HD version is 20USD which for a game that takes at last 20 hours to play through and I doubt even that would be enough time to do everything that is a steal. My PS2 copy recently broke so it looks like I will be getting 3 games for Christmas this year and I am more excited for it now than the other two which are Black Ops 2 and MOH Warfighter.
It would be nice to see Okami get a sequel on the PS3 even though I never got the one on the DS. Sadly I doubt it since Clover studios went out but at least this awesome game is being brought to the PS3. I might just finally build up the patience to find all the animals you are supposed to feed as I never had the patience on the PS2 version since my record clear time was 14 hours doing almost only the main story but being a trophy hunter it might just help my patience as well.

I'm not the biggest fan of Crapcom at the minute so to me, this seems like a quick cash and grab, especially when considering that there's been a lot of insight lately into how their company model works. Sure, Okami is a great game but it'll be a while before I give Crapcom another penny of my money. Then there's fact that Clover Studios is no more. Eh.

I had no idea that Capcom was in the middle of a controversy do you mind me asking what they did as I have not heard anything about it probably because I have not bought anything from them since the original Okami came out. As for Clover studios it is a shame they went out shortly after Okami came out especially since it was such a great game that tragically did not sell very well. pikachu464Yes that is the trailer for the game. I think there was another one as well I saw in a recent article but I could be wrong but in either case that is at least 1 one the trailers.
