After the fierce battle against the Lickitung, knowing that Joe perhaps had an impersonator lingering around in the shadows of Goldenrod couldn't have been a nice thought. His name was something he had to protect, otherwise it'd just make things harder when traveling around Johto, as police would likely track him down sooner rather than later. This impostor had taken his thieving, bad boy appearance and in return, left out all of Joe's positive and quirky traits. He was a thieving biker but never would he go as far as to harm someone or even destroy something as meager as a few windows just to attract a bit of attention. A Pokeball here and the odd pocket of money there was nothing compared to the acts this other fellow might very have have been doing. Then there was the question of, why Joe in the first place? Maybe his antics of stopping Team Rocket were starting to catch a light and spread, it could've been his previous trouble making battle back in the Pokemon Center against the young girl. He was even interviewed recently, so whoever this was and whatever his reason might be, they had been following Joe closely.
With Joe and his team agreeing to get to the bottom of this, the best thing to do was to look around and get some knowledge from the locals. There were numerous shops down in the Underground Tunnel and if these rumours were true, news would most likely have spread to everyone who works down there. Not having a single lead, he needed to start somewhere. Having witnessed the battle between Joe and the PokeManiac, a single stall owner had gone back to work. Having a small room in the wall to store any goods over night, the male seemed to own a fruit stall, tacky wooden crates piled up at a slant, containing numerous fruits. Turning away abruptly as Joe began strolling over with his mischievous looking bunch of Pokemon, he sent out another roar, hoping to entice passers by to come and purchase some of his merchandise. Unfortunately it didnt seem to work, a heavy sigh escaping his lips as he thought Joe would be a difficult customer or something.
"L-Look, I need to make a living, stop stealing from me, a'right?" Turning slightly, the male rested his hands upon his hips, slowly realising that Joe wasn't here to try and pinch some money from his pouch. Readjusting the cap on his head, the male took a chance to take in Joe's appearance, allowing Joe to do the same. The stall owner was just under Joe's height, skinny and with incredibly pale skin. His curly brown hair sat messy by his ears, bits protruding from the baseball cap which sat backwards on his head. Over a crisp white tank top he wore denim dungarees and a pair of trainers protected his feet. Soon taken a back by Hoodlum's ghetto way of speaking, the man blinked at the elasticated trouser lizard, "Faking no jacks?" He questioned, taking off his cap and rubbing the back of his head, stringy hair drooping over his eyes before he readjusted his hat back on. "The word? E-Er... Let's see here..."
Obviously a little intimidated by Joe's size and bulk, the stall keeper was more worried about having his face smashed in and end up crawling away like that Isaac trainer. Rubbing his chin, he turned back to Joe, giving the same tiny, useless hints as the others had done before him. "There has been a group of trouble makers down here lately, three of them. Smash up a jewelers down there and robbed half the stock." Pointing a finger over Joe's shoulder to show the blonde where it had happened, it was amazing that he had missed it before. Right next to the Hair dressing Brothers was a shop, cardboard planks covering where the windows used to be as well as numerous cones and tape to make sure no one else approached. "Poor guys were already going down hill, the attack just gave them a kick over the edge." Pondering a bit further, his figured that giving Joe a bit more knowledge wouldnt hurt, surely. Holding out a hand, he continued to explain, "Police gave all us stall and shop owners a warning about these guys. They were caught on the cams' too, a few pictures of them were printed out. I know the main one wore a leather jacket and had a purple bandanna but things were a little blurry."
Realising that Joe actually fit his description practically, there was no doubt on this guys mind that Joe was perhaps a part of this trio. But not wanting any trouble, he felt the need to comply. Trying to think fast, one final bit of information popped to mind, "Although the shots were blurry, I heard the police made a sort of Wanted Poster for these guys... It's probably still on the Bulletin board down here." Stepping out into the center of the walk way, he ushered Joe over and gave a long point, "If you dont know your way, carry on going forward and you'll find it at the top of those stairs." Rather awkwardly giving Joe's shoulder a friendly pat, the male walked to his original spot. "You could also try questioning the security officers, though I dont think they'd welcome in unknown faces." Hoping that he didn't sound too weird, the man laughed off his final comment, forced, "But besides that blunder, nothing much has gone on. It happened a few days ago anyways, the guys have probably upped and gone by now... A-Although, I heard the biker shop was raided too--"The Shop Keeper gave Joe a bit of knowledge. Head to the Bulletin board for a chance of seeing a Wanted Poster or head to Security to see if you can watch some Security Videos?
