"Bein' an outlaw sure can suck sometimes." That was all Joey could muster as he slinked down the side of an alley between some buildings in the large city of Goldenrod. Thankfully, having stayed put sometime in Goldenrod, he had got an uncanny memory of all the alley layouts and used them to their utmost advantage in evading people. Ever since he had decided to confront his impersonator having viewed them wreck havoc on Goldenrod's underground, things had gone from bad to worse. Not only had he ended up indirectly killing one of the imposter's Pokemon but he had lost them without bringing them to justice and clearing his name... At least, clearing his name for the crimes they had committed. He'd still have a lot left that he did of his own accord. But then there was the fact he had also had the blame pinned down on him for a huge series of explosions that had rocked downtown Goldenrod. "Its not adding up. I wasn't even in the area... I was so many miles underground!" Thinking about the affair, he realised that the havoc must have unfolded when he was cornering the imposters down in the under. "I wonder who made all that mess?" Unfortunately, his ability to check out the scene of the crime was now largely impossible thanks to every police officer and have a go hero now tracking him down.
Unable to get to the room he had rented as well as return to a Pokemon Centre for healing, he had to make use of his custom firmware that was found on his Poketch. Realising that Lockjaw had received a serious injury from Voltek's furious Electro Ball, it meant he needed some medical attention and fast. Sending him off, it wasn't long before he found a substitute in the form of Dante. Leaning up against the wall of the alley, he called forth the ghostly spectre. "Ahhhh, my dear friend Joey. How may this dead living soul help you, mmmm?" Glad to see his ghostly acquaintance once more, Joey scratched his chin. "I was wonderin' if you could help me. A group of schmucks I faced, they LITERALLY phased through a wall with the help of a ghost. Can you do the same for me? All I need is to fade my appearance and walk through some buildings." Floating up one of his disembodied hands, the Haunter considered the chances before shaking his head comically about. "Nope, nope annnnnnnd nope. No can do. I can make you a bit fainter though." Stretching out his hands, the Haunter extended some of his ethereal ability over Joey, making him near see through. It was something a bit too startling for Joey as he raised his hands up before his eyes. "WOOOOAH!? Can ya least warn me before ya do that?! Hey... This is kinda trippy."
Stepping forward into the street, it appeared that not a soul could make him out. "Good thing I know to stick to the shadows as it is anyway." Looking around, he noticed this large dome shaped building. The outside certainly didn't look all that amazing. Little did Joey know, this was actually Goldenrod's gym. "Meh, we'll hide out there. Looks pretty shabby." Making his way over stealthily as Dante continued to give him cover, the two soon made short work of the distance. Standing before the doors, Joey laughed. "Alright Dante, you can let me become solid again. Don't wanna needlessly scare anyone thinkin' i'm a ghost." Relinquishing his grip on Joey's shoulders, Dante clapped his hands happily at being of some help. "Any time. Unless its Super Fun Happy Japanese Comedy Duo Club hour. Then you can take a hike." Laughing, Joe stepped forward into the large building, still unaware of what the place was. As he moved into the mains of the building, he was hit with a huge haymaker of shock to his stomach. "What the hell kinda place is THIS?!" Looking around, his head couldn't wrap around all the brightly pink and cutesy looking ornaments decorating the large interior.
"Doesn't look like anyone's here. Reckon we should call out Dante? I get the feelin' we stepped into some sort of wacky fun house." Unfortunately, it was too late. Distracted by a large hanging ball from the ceiling, Dante began patting it madly and clapping his hands as it span endlessly around and around. "Eh, suit yourself." Stepping forward, Joey cusped his hand and called out. "OI OI! ANYONE HERE IN THIS WACKY BUILDING?" Lowering his hands, he pulled a somewhat disappointed face. "I doubt i'll be able to hide much here for too long. I kinda value my sanity."
