ALRIGHT! Seeing as Oak decided to act on my suggestion I think it'd be an idea to christen the new board with a video game thread. And they don't come much better than this one. Out of allllll the games you've played, which one would you say is the greatest? I'm torn between a variety of choices but the two that really stand out for me are both Nintendo games. These being Ocarina of Time and Pokemon Silver. They had a pretty big impact on my childhood and everytime I go back to them it is always such a delight to play. Honourable mentions include: Skies of Arcadia, Final Fantasy VI, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Tales of Phantasia, Persona 3 + 4, Chrono Trigger, Golden Sun and Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. Bit of an RPG nut as you can probably tell.

My favourite game of all time would probably be Conker's Bad Fur Day followed closely by other N64 games such as Ocarina of Time, Super Smash Bros and Golden Eye. These games were a huge part of my childhood so they've definitely had the biggest impact on me.
My favourite and first Pokémon game was Gold Version so that'd be up there too.

Pretty much all Pokémon Main Series Games. v__v
More specifically Pokémon Silver; although they all blow my mind a little. Other favourite video games.. Sonic Adenture 2: Battle - the Chao! They gave me something to do when Pokémon because tedious. I also love the Destroy All Humans series, but I have only played two of them, and only own one. Don't hate me, but Yoshi's Island for the GBA. For GC, Super Smash Bros. Meleé. My most loved XBOX games, for the original 'Box, were Mad Dash and Jet Set Radio Future ^___^
I completely can't remember any more, even console-wise.. D:
Interesting to see that we all love the 2nd Gen. HGSS this month. :o
and I know, I know; I'm a complete girl when it comes to games. I liked Brute Force too - that's manly right? and pretty much ALL of Valve's stuff. :3

I tricked my mum into getting it by showing her how cute the characters on the front were. She was pretty shocked at how vulgar it was but had a fit of laughter when you had to move those boulder people around in the strip club. ;D Goldeneye was a big part of my childhood too. Used to play that one to death. It saddens me we'll never have another game like it really. Truly a one of a kind experience. Other favourite video games.. Sonic Adenture 2: Battle - the Chao! I only know about one other person who has played the Destroy All Humans games. I loved Yoshi's Island for the GBA too. In fact, I think it was one of the first games I got it for it. And seeing as I totally missed the SNES at least I got to experience it's glory. TOUCH FUZZY = GET DIZZY. Brute Force is pretty manly indeed. D: Grrrr! I've also noticed something about Valve's games. They seem to have a wide gender appeal to not only guys but the female gamers as well. You wouldn't think that to be true as some of it's just FPS PEW PEW PEW but I guess no matter what the game, if it's excellent people will be drawn to it.

If ever get the chance, give CBFD a spin as it is just pure hilarity. The N64 one mind you, the Live and Reloaded version was absolute gutter trash. It has a lot of spoofing of various pop cultures like The Matrix and Saving Private Ryan. Multiplayer was an absolute blast though. I can't tell you how many hours my brother and I spent on steal the flag on that castle stage. Teddiz versus Squirrels. Awesome game. ;D

I heard on wikipedia the remake sucked so I will download the N64 version.

OMG!!! I can't believe we're discussing my favourite game of all time. ^^ This brings back so many great memories! The single-player never gets boring as it adopts so many genres from the War level to the prehistoric Ooga-Booga level to the Spooky/horror level and as Joey said it's a spoof of so many different movies like Reservoir Dogs, Dracula, the Shining, The Matrix, Saving Private Ryan and many more! Haha, it's also full of sexual innuendo and as an eleven year old when I bought the game, I had no clue about then but slowly as I grew old I realised there were so many subtleties in the game such as the level with all the cogs in Bat Tower. Ah yesss! The Great Mighty Poo! Probably the scene most synonymous with the game, mainly because it was used as the advertising back in the day. That song was epic and I remember knowing the whole song off by heart and beating him over and over agin just to sing along with him. Yeah, that Big Ooga Booga has got to be one of the funnest bosses to play against. When I first faced him I had no idea what "Going for the meat and two veg" meant and when I found out it certainly caught me by surprise. lulz and you get a big cavewomen hooker as a reward at the end. xD And the crazy storyline was balanced so well by the multiplayer. I definitely played the hell out of the Colors and the Total War levels on all levels of difficulty. Inbred was the easiest difficulty and perhaps was the most fun and Einstein level was just about impossible to win lol. I feel like some vintage Teddiz versus Squirrels action right now. I also have Live and Reloaded for Xbox but it was a big disappointment. They didn't change the storyline but only made it much easier and the multiplayer is just plain crap in comparison. Awww man, you should definitely try and rent, borrow or steal a copy of the game if you can.

I think that's one of the greatest things I loved about it. I had literally just watched one of the Matrix films and kept thinking: "How COOL would it be to have a Matrix game?" and then this game came out with a parody of it. I still get the itch even now to go and replay that segment. Count Batula was pretty funny what with the bat droppings. Ah yesss! The Great Mighty Poo! Probably the scene most synonymous with the game, mainly because it was used as the advertising back in the day. That song was epic and I remember knowing the whole song off by heart and beating him over and over agin just to sing along with him. When I first faced him I had no idea what "Going for the meat and two veg" meant and when I found out it certainly caught me by surprise. lulz and you get a big cavewomen hooker as a reward at the end. xD I still sing the song randomly. ;D Morri turns round and just gives me a really confused stare. I guess it was one of those "Had to be there moments." I couldn't quite fathom that a huge turd monster was lurking in a dung heap. It was definitely one of the N64's highlights. The huge cavewoman at the end was hilarious. Partly because of their confuddled speak but also because Conker was soooo looking forward to a bit of a victoly party. ;D And the crazy storyline was balanced so well by the multiplayer. I definitely played the hell out of the Colors and the Total War levels on all levels of difficulty. Inbred was the easiest difficulty and perhaps was the most fun and Einstein level was just about impossible to win lol. I feel like some vintage Teddiz versus Squirrels action right now. Multiplayer is Godly. GODLY. Thanks to what you mentioned I just remembered the Katana weapon. That was hilarious; gave you a wicked cool jumping ability and all that nonsensical Japanese babble. *FLIP FLIP FLIP* Plus the deaths you could enact on people were pretty cool. BYE HEAD. Awww man, you should definitely try and rent, borrow or steal a copy of the game if you can. Amen to that brother! Pc: Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines BACK UP! That's your favourite PC game? Damn, you are a true brother. VTMB was one of the first PC games I truly played and the world is just so immersive, so engaging. Plus the amount of replayability is remarkable. MALKAVIAN RESPRESENT. I loved that funky ass Dr.Seuss costume you could get him. Wow, just discovered this place after being completely kicked nagged at by Joey... I have so many favourite games that it'll probably be impossible to narrow down. But here we go!
For N64, without a doubt, it is Paper Mario. Screw any other damn game (Im sure there is one which is better, but hell) I actually LOVE this game. And obviously the Zelda games. ^^
I have quite a few for GB/GBA. Obviously, Pokemon Gold and Silver were the best (I have both and both have completely died on me v____v) but I also liked Breath of Fire 2, Tales of Phantasia, Golden Sun... Well, I'm sure I could expand greatly. But I'll stop there. x3
Gamecube! Well, Skies of Arcadia is a must here. Its probably the only game that I have played and completely over and over again. I actually fainted playing this game it was so damn good. And though people may think Lloyd is annoying, I still really liked Tales of Symphonia. I think it was just fun to run around on a world map battling things. Durh, simpleton.
PS2... Well. I bought Joey 2 games for Christmas last year and now all of a sudden we have 60. So I still havent really played anything. Though I love the Persona games (KAAAAAAAAANJI <3) aswell as Dragon Quest. That is probably my favourite right now as I run around in circles, battling for hours on end.
I'm still a bit unsure about the Wii, I have quite a few games that I like, but nothing that I would want to play over and over again. If anything though, I would say Okami and Resident Evil 4, because they are both so pretty and amazing. I really like Harvest Moon aswell, so Tree of Tranquility can go here. But I have yet to find my absolute favourite. Dont let me down Rune Factory! *flails*
Then finally, DS. This is probably the most impossible section since me and Joey literally have hundreds of DS games... I really liked the Final Fantasy remakes since I never got to play them on the GB. I also loved Rune Factory! Ooh! And Luminous Arc! The Phoenix Wright series were pretty damn cool too.
But I have a feeling HGSS is going to dominate everything. I totally overplayed it when I was younger, so I will probably do it again here. x3

I loved Vampires, I died a little inside when I found out Troika disbanded D: I loved the exclusive malkavian dialouge with a stop sign... ........... ...................__ ............./´¯/'...'/´¯¯`·¸ ........../'/.../..../......./¨¯\ ........('(...´...´.... ¯~/'...') .........\.................'...../ ..........''...\.......... _.·´ ............\..............(
For N64, without a doubt, it is Paper Mario.

Paper mario was win, back in the day I still remember when I first got that game... it was beautiful. Tales of Symphonia was the first game I ever got four friends to sit down and play with me from start to finish! I love Harvest moon games so much, but I should warn you I really did not like the Rune factory for Wii D= it was pretty bad in my opinion. --------------------------------------------------------------- As far as badfurday goes, I wonder if we could set up a N64 Emu with online mode and play some games? I have no idea how laggy the emulators are.. -------------------------------- Oh yes my favorite PS1 game ever and a close second for favorite game in general would be SaGa frontier...very underrated game
