Julefeber = Christmas-fever Story time: In Denmark it is a tradition that the two big tv channels shows a Christmas tv series, which is a miniseries in 24 episodes with the climax or solution in the end of course, so it becomes a good Christmas after all Often the plot is something which is threatening the Christmas, globally (something with with Santa Claus) or personally which I guess this years series is about, I have only seen one episode so I don't know yet I think Denmark has become pretty good at making dramas and crime-shows and since there is a belief that kids can handle serious stuff and should learn about it, it results in some pretty special/good series, in my opinion^^ This year's one I'm quite intrigued by, the main character Bjørn (Bear) suddenly can't control his body which starts dancing when he hears music,, which he of course both finds scary and humiliating. He has a good relationship with his little sister and their mother has died, which sounds like it happened around Christmas. The family is poor, they didn't have money for both the bus and food, and the dad is doing what he can, but is in denial about their situation I think, and that they have problems, or just wants to keep it from his kids in an attempt to give them a carefree childhood. When they were thrown out of their apartment because he owed money to a guy whom sounds like a gangster boss, or something (and called Lollipop) he cheerfully said they were going on an adventure, the kids saw through it, but he kept insisting. They went to visit Granma which turns out live in a retirement home and they come late at night after visiting hours, so they sneak in. The granmother is coocoo and I think she has dementia, she makes no sense in what she is saying, but I think she knowns something about what is going on for Bjørn. They are discovered and thrown out and ends up moving in on the ceiling of Det Kongelige Teater (The Royal Theater), where the dad is working during the day, and where they of course aren't allowed to live either, but I guess this is where a lot of the plot will happen. (Sorry for the long story, but I'm hooked on this one! )

I guess it is the Men Without Hats song you have linked? I went and looked it up since the version you have linked apparently are blocked in my country for some weird reason..
I have another Christmas tv series which are a couple of years old. The plot is the boy Theo who is artistic and bullied in school, his best friend is his grandpa and they are painting the wall together, while the grandfather tells about this magic world you travel through when you die), but unfortunately he gets a stroke and goes into coma. Theo finds a magical talisman which takes him to the world his grandfather told him about, and then the race begins as he tries to reach his grandfather before he reaches the bridge and crosses it into the afterlife. As I remember he do manage to find him in time (after having sent his bully there by mistake and getting another friend) and he can let go and say goodbye to his grandfather. Both sad and happy at the same time.

The opening song from Princess Tutu
Because, why not when my mind keep going back to it, as I watch the kids from 'Julefeber' running around in a school of ballet

Time for some more Christmas tv series sharing, and in Danish of course This one is from 2003 This one is called Jesus og Josefine (Jesus and Josefine), which is the story of Josefine who doesn't like Christmas and in a strange shop she finds a little nativity scene which turns out to be a time machine that takes her back to Jerusalem and Jesus as a kid. We learn that Jesus dreams about being a gladiator and isn't happy at all about his destiny, so he ends up deciding not to do that which Josefine is happy for since it means there will be no Christmas. She returns to present day where everything is chaos since it turned out the man in the strange shop was the devil and he tempted her, he kan tell her that Jesus did become a gladiator and was really happy with his life. She of course cannot accept it and goes back and solves it all so we all can celebrate Christmas in the end

A new song from the Danish Rock Band Dizzy Mizz Lizzy which I think is really good, even though I can't quite get the hang of the meaning of the lyrics, hehe.
And just to share one of their most known songs: Silverflame

I just can't wait to be king (Music Demo Version) by Elton John. Quite a bit of this song changed from this demo version to the film version but Elton John was still fantastic despite this version never being used in the movie.
