Very approachable and enjoys to have in depth conversations with people, observing them and their emotional trials. Life is a learning experience. He thrives for more knowledge everyday, especially in the realm of paranormal, scientific and spiritual philosophies. In his mind, he's on a journey to uncover the ultimate truth of existence.. and he views Pokemon as the key: to become a "Creator" himself.
A natural enemy to many... a valuable ally to few.
History: Devlin was born to a lonely Mother, just days after his father died on a fishing accident off the eastern coasts. His body was never actually recovered, but it was determined his father and his fishing crew were swept off their boat and drowned in the sea. The unexplained disappearance of his father was never uncovered. But their boat returned to the shores undamaged, yet no crew.
The night Devlin was born, there was a blackout in Lavender Town. In pitch darkness, his Mother's painful screams were heard as she was giving labor to her first son. A strange occurrence that same night, the moon changed it's contrast to a dark purple, the moment Devlin entered the world. The local being superstitious, felt the child was of evil origin, and stayed away from helping his mother and her 'demon' child. His mother angered by their primitive fears, named him "Devlin" just to further induce the fear they brought upon themselves.
As a child, he would frighten his mother in the middle of the night, when she would hear him speak barely coherent words. To some unseen entity. It occurred every night, around the same time, for many years.
It wasn't until he was 5 when his mother finally asked him who he speaks to at night, when he answered "My friends. My pokemon and person friends." She feared for her son's health, since she thought it was something mental. When she checked with the doctors, they claimed his head examines and personality were that of normal toddlers, and possibly 'creative imaginations'.
She didn't believe them.
So she began to further look into her son's abilities, taking him to the local Pokemon Tower to experiment. It was sure, her son, Devlin, could 'feel' and communicate with entities, both good and bad. But it had a terrible side effect on Devlin as his channeling became long winded. He would develop nose bleeds and headaches.
She stopped the paranormal sessions and tried to convince her son to try and make the spirits go away, for the sake of his own health. It was obvious to her that the spirits were using Devlin to draw his life force, thus weakening him in the process.
Too poor to move out of Lavender Town, she decided to home school Devlin, purchasing old books and magazines sold. Ranging from topics in science, spiritual, technological, ancient. These books and magazines were outdated, some by hundreds of years with "out of date" knowledge and theories. Devlin read these books, and they forever changed his perspective.
He started to develop strong passion's in these fields. He saw Pokemon not just as a creature with "trainable" combative features and looks, but more of a "tool" to gain illumination into higher knowledge and existence. Oh the strange idea's and things that went on in his brain as such a young age. Many years later, at the age of 19, his mother passed away of unknown causes. Only clues left of her death, was her nose was bleeding at the time of her death. Devlin was no fool, he know his mother didn't die of unknown causes. She was slain by 'something' unknown. That same night, he would bury his mother and promise that he would see her again soon.
Now with nothing to occupy his attention and emotions, he is left alone in the world to further find the knowledge and build upon the belief he has created for himself. The time to seek and acquire the key's to control reality itself, and let people know what the true meaning of "God" is.
Goals: To open people's eyes to the 'true' world they live in. Not just the visible world, but the unseen. He also seeks to expand the human and pokemon conscience beyond the stars, to seek out the truth of their existence and ultimate purpose. With time, dedication, and a bit of influence on his part, he wants to build a world where technology, Pokemon and human nature are at balance for benefit of the universal agenda. He uses science and spiritual guidance as a means to acquire his goals, and although his actions might seem destructive at times, he sees great 'creation' in the aftermath.
Call him a radical of his own beliefs, unfortunately, he puts his thought's and idea's into action. Which definitely does not attract positive results by people who consider themselves Heroes or the Villains who view him as a threat to their own dominance.
