(Route 30/Grass Pokemon Hunt)
What do you mean, I can't do the mission yet? My Pokemon would stomp them. No, no, you're not quite ready yet. Whatever. Rhoan snarled to herself, pacing up and down the path beside the Pokemon Center in Cherrygrove. She was ready to storm the well in Azalea, but for some reason, one of her superiors decided it wasn't time to do it yet. That, or Rhoan wasn't the lass for it. Steam practically blew out of her ears, and not even the Joltik rubbing up against her cheek helped.
I just... I need to blow off some steam. Rhoan murmured, walking into the Pokemon Center, beelining towards the computer. She opened up the station, and checked her mail. Two lone emails sat in the inbox, unread. Upon checking the, her bitter mood slowly began to vanish. It was a report on a Pokemon swarm in this area. Rare canine Pokemon, Houndour. The second email made her almost giggle outloud with joy. It was a hunt request! She saved both emails, and turned off the terminal before running outside.
Reaver, we have two Pokemon objectives. Catch as many mutts as I can, and get that Pokemon request done for cash. Sound good? She asked the Joltik, who chirped with happiness. Her Pokemon were very strong compared to the ones here. Her Joltik would be a key player with the paralysis attacks it knew. She could stomp Pokemon around here, but where was the fun in that?

Life for Pokemon on Route 30 was calm. New Trainers came and went, as did nice old Mr. Pokemon down the way. Most were too busy on their way to Violet City to really bother the weaker or smaller Pokemon. They were too focused on the stronger and bigger Pokemon, or on fighting each other to enhance the strength of their own already powerful Pokemon. Bidoof had done a pretty good job of avoiding Trainers in its time on Route 30. What few Trainers it had encountered thought so little of the Normal-Type that they just moved on. Bidoof was okay with that. It meant that it could keep on with its simple life. Building a few dams, munching on Berries, and playing in the wild with friends. But now that the Houndour pack had showed up, Bidoof's normal life had gotten turned around. Trainers were out, looking for the Houndours that they had been told about. It then that Bidoof came into the pathway of Rhoan, one of the Trainers it was trying to avoid. Chirping sadly, the Bidoof looked around. Escape wasn't a very viable option at this point. Unless this Trainer decided to let it go, the Bidoof would be forced to fight. A Wild Bidoof (Level 8) has approached you! [BATTLE] or [FLEE]?

Rhoan crossed her arms and looked around, spitting uniformly against a tree, watching it trail down. It had been quiet, unfortunately, and it seemed as though Rhoan couldn't have picked a worse time to search for Pokemon. Perhaps the Houndour pack had scared the wild Pokemon off? Perhaps only the brave Pokemon would be out. Not that they'd be any help for Rhoan. She was far stronger than anything this route could push out, and she wasn't going to bother with anything that came up, especially little beavers like the Bidoof that wandered in on her.
Her eyes narrowed, and she scowled. I have two Pokemon I want to come across. You'd think my odds would be better, hmm? But no, I get stuck with dumb Bidoof. She sighs, picking another tree to lean against. The Bidoof looked like it didn't want to battle, and frankly, Rhoan didn't want to either. Well what are you waiting for? Get on outta here. She murmured, moving trees again. Her boots crunched against the leaves she trodded on, and she crossed her arms and glowered at the grass. Something useful, pop up..

Stray, wild, and right now angry. A poor pup had been kicked off by its own pack, and now wandering through the outskirts of Cherrygrove City. With a fire burning within, both figuratively and literally, the Houndour had a steam to blow and some things to maw on. It didn't want weakly feeble bug Pokemon to blow its steam on. It needed... Then there was Rhoan. It needed to fight one of those humans and their Pokemon. Those Pokemon are stronger right? Right now the Houndour didn't care about having the risk of Pokeballs thrown at it. It just needed to battle and maybe either burn something or bite on something. The dog growled angrily at Rhoan, and then turned its head left and right and perked its ears up, making sure that its pack wasn't near by to see its battle.
A wild (Level 10) Houndour appeared!

Rhoan's interest was wavering, and she flipped open a datapad and ticked around on it for a moment. She didn't use it often, but it checked her mail and whatnot. When she opened it up, a little mail icon popped up. Excited, she read it, hoping it was something worth while. Unfortunately, the little Pidgey icon opened the mail, only to let Rhoan read about how the Ralts hunting request had been cancelled. Steam practically blew out of Rhoan's ears as she turned the device off and shoved it into a pocket. Are you serious?! She snarled, kicking at a tree. It didn't move, but it felt better to hit something.
A growl entered her ears, and when Rhoan turned to face a Houndour pup. Her eyes narrowed and a little grin reached her face. At least there was something good with this long trek back from Azalea town. Joltik wriggled his way up to Rhoan's shoulder, and jumped forward to face the Houndour. Remember, we don't need to hurt it. All we need to do is paralyze it or something. Makes it easier to catch. Rhoan missed the days when she caught things by hand and by guns, but... there wasn't much she could do about it. Reaver, Thunder Wave. She commanded, and watched the Houndour move. You're joining my pack now, mutt.

Reaver was readied, and virtually sent the weakest possible electrical current toward the Houndour as soon as her order was heard. The quick but weak jolt sent the Houndour's nerves into a neurotic paralysis. The Houndour found itself difficult to move now. Struggling to even pick up its feet, it could feel its whole body being limp and its motor control weakened. The young pup gathered some of its strength and howled loudly. The dog howled and warned its pack not to come near, because there's a little electric bug with this trainer.
Wild Houndour- Level 10 32/32Status: Paralyzed!, Attack +1 Houndour used a successful Howl! Rhoan's Reaver- Level 21 58/58Status: Is not shocked! Reaver used a successful Thunder Wave!

If Rhoan could speak Houndour, she'd probably understand that this Houndour was warning it's old pack. Had she been the alpha, she would have investigated to see what was wrong, and possibly done something about it. But she'd only see the Houndour in front of her as weak, and human Rhoan would want to change that. Nice hit! She told the Joltik, who chirped with happiness. Rhoan turned and let her bag fall to the ground, before shoving a hand down inside to rummage through the contents.
Her fingers found the tiny capsule, and Rhoan pulled out a pokeball. Standard, but it would probably do just fine for the pup in front of her. She pressed the center, and it expanded in her hand. Better watch out, pup! She grinned, and tossed the Pokeball towards the dog, watching it soar towards it. Her fingers crossed while she waited for the red light to encase the Pokemon, and hopefully catch it quickly.

The Poke Ball, basic as it was, easily did its job. The sphere sucked in the Houndour in a flash of red light. The ball cluttered to the ground as the Houndour struggled from within to break free. Even Pokemon that were willing to be captured would instinctively struggle against the mechanical sphere's purpose. Time would tell whether or not the dog's willpower was enough to break free from the sphere. The ball shook once as the Houndour fought from within, failing to break free. It shook a second time, the Houndour's muscles tightening up as a result of the paralysis it had been induced with. By the third shake, the Houndour's body was completely frozen from the reaction caused by Reaver's electric currents entering its systems. With a ding, the ball locked around the Houndour. The capture was successful.

The ball wriggled once, twice, thrice... Rhoan gave a smirk as the soft hum of the ball clicked into her favor, denying the Pokemon any means of escape. The Joltik crawled up to her shoulder once more and gave a happy chirp. Good job. Capture affirmative. Paralysis sure does come in handy for captures, don't it? It was true Reaver could have probably just sneezed and the Houndour could have fainted, but that wasn't what they were here for. Guess we can head back and train this little guy, eh? Rhoan smirked, shoving her hands into her pockets, making her way back to Azalea.
(end, on phone, sorry)
