Cypress Rest: Marchbaby Wandering Spirit #1

As Kamikaze began to cover he mouth Marchbaby realized the purple fog was poisonous and he quickly covered his mouth. He was worried that both Kamikaze and himself would fall victim to the fog if he did not come up with something fast but before he could even react the fog transformed into a Gastly allowing him and Kamikaze to breathe again. He knew that this had to be one of the evil spirits that the lake spirit had warned him about and after that dangerous trick it just pulled he knew that it had no good intentions as it could have killed both of them had it not shown it's true form later than what it did. Marchbaby was really angry at the spirit for having no honor at all and he was ready to put it in it's place for being so sneaky.

The young man cleared his throat as Kamikaze did the same in order to be able to breathe better. Kamikaze looked rather pissed as well as even she thought the trickery shown by the evil Gastly was low and being a demon she knew what low truly was. The weasel looked at Gastly with her red piercing eyes as if she was ready to tear the ghost into oblivion and send whatever remained into the deepest pits of Tartarus as punishment for being such an evil Pokemon. Marchbaby watched as Kamikaze extended her claws which he knew was her personal sign that things had become personal and that she wanted to fight the ghost. He had no intentions of stopping her either as he knew she had the type advantage and by the looks of the Gastly in it's true form it did not look very powerful either.

He was a bit worried that the ghost may try to do some other trick when it realized what it would be going up against but he did not really think too much on that. He wanted to get revenge for what the ghost had tried to do to Kamikaze and himself and he was not going to stop punishing the ghost until it was burning in the pits of hell for being such an evil Pokemon. Marchbaby looked at Kamikaze who just seemed to be begging to be allowed to tear the ghost a new one and with how angry Marchbaby was at the ghost he was not about to try and stop her. Before he let her do whatever she wanted to the ghost he wanted to make things clear to the evil spirit that it had brought this torment on itself.

" Evil spirit I have no pity for what you and others have tried to do to this forest and to that poor Chikorita. I will not stand by and let you and the other evil spirit's get away with this kind of behavior and I will make sure you all burn for what you have done." He said as Kamikaze stepped forward ready to bring justice down upon the evil spirit. As she looked back at Marchbaby to make sure he did not have anything else to say he nodded and just added one thing to his damming words before he let her off the leash. " All I ask Kamikaze is you make this evil spirit suffer for playing it's part in harming that innocent Chikorita. Do whatever you wish to bring this forest justice." He said as Kamikaze bbegan to charge forward with a Faint Attack.


Ooc: Even though Marchbaby does not technically order a specific attack he lets Kamikaze choose how she wanted to attack and she goes with Faint Attack.

Having taken good measure of the situation and realising this ominous spirit was one of the evil fiends that the spirit girl of the forest had warned Marchbaby about, it was clear that the Gastly's dastardly attempt to suffocate had been cut short. It may have been a threatening foe but it was sadly quite a low rung on the ladder and a mere lackey in the grand scheme of things. As the ethereal poltergeist and Kamikaze exchanged battle stares, it was definitely a case of realising that despite its underhanded trickery and dishonourable actions, it was not a being of great strength. It had to rely on its subterfuge and nefarious ways to get anything accomplished. Cackling vilely the Gastly knew Kamikaze was far stronger than it but it would be of no use. All this Pokemon would have to do is impede this trainer and his Pokemon's progress long enough and the victim of the forest would slowly succumb to the curse its kind had sown upon this myriad forest.

The Pokemon's baneful laughter continued with a cackling shriek as Marchbaby laid down his wrath and disgust for the Pokemon's horrible affliction upon these woods and its inhabitants. As if revelling in the scorn and hatred, the Gastly appeared to expand in size, feeding off the deep seated loathing, the Pokemon's delight was cut short as it observed Marchbaby giving his Weavile the go ahead to unleash fury upon its ghostly self. Watching as the lightning fast speed demon near enough instantaneously appeared from one side of the battlefield to the other, the Gastly attempted to perform evasive manoeuvres, disappearing, reappearing but it was all for naught. Remaining perfectly still, Kamikaze affixed herself to the spot, raising her blade like claws as she took in the patterns of the Gastly's emergences. This ghost thought itself to be flawless in its trickster ways but having allowed it to run through a few hoops, Kamikaze had got measure of it.

Pretending to swipe in one direction, she used her other claw to swipe in the air at nothing. However, by the time her feint had been made the Gastly materialised exactly where the brunt of her force was being employed in her other claw, slashing cleaning through the Gastly. As a fog like mist poured out of the Pokemon's parted being, it let out a howling wail which seemed to stir up the very forest itself. Blades of grass rustled, the branches of trees groaned and creaked as they struggled to resist the tempestuous build of malevolent energy which had been let loose from the Gastly being torn in half. Eventually bursting into a spray of mist, the area of Cypress Rest seemed to settle. It was still an unusual location but at least the daunting, insidious presence had died down in comparison to what it had been. With no one to prevent their progress, it seemed Marchbaby could continue on in his quest.
