New Bark Town was smaller than Nayru had imagined. The wind felt so gentle as it blew against her face, the warm air comforting as she removed her jacket and turned to her Charmander, Minerva who looked around the new area with uneasy eyes. With a giggle, the silver-haired female lifted her companion up and held the fire type in her arms, earning a gentle coo as she snuggled close in her trainer's embrace. Minerva was still very young, so she had very much to learn when it came to the world itself. Nayru was very new to traveling as well, and to be perfectly honest, she was scared. However, the young woman made the decision to leave the cold confines of her hometown back in Kalos, and there was no turning back.
With a look of determination, the silver-haired female took a deep breath and released it slowly before taking the first few steps forward to reach the end of the town, her head held high. It was then that she heard a rustling in the brush, turning her head slowly to see where the sound was coming from.

Johto was certainly a different region when compared with Kalos. Bustling with newly discovered Pokemon and well known for being stylish and boasting great technology, Johto was seemingly the complete opposite of the distant region. Small, quaint and scattered with traditional little towns, it was a very relaxed region in general. Accepting her starter, the new trainer and partner duo made their way towards the very first route, where their Pokemon journey would officially begin. Scared, nervous, these were feelings all trainers felt at some point during their journey. It was completely natural but hopefully, it would soon turn into fun and excitement for them both.
As they ventured on together, it wasn't long before a wild Pokemon sprung on them. Hiding within the lush foliage of the trees, a rather cheeky foe had been following them for a while, swinging from tree to tree before accidentally slipping and falling head first into a bush below. Obviously, this had alerted both Nayru and Minerva, making the Pokemon's stealth not-so-stealthy anymore. Forced to let itself be known, a rather unusual Pokemon sprang out from the bush and landed on the path. Covered in purple fur and a tail which mimicked that of a three fingered hand, the little monkey was known as Aipom! Hopping from one foot to another, it look at the trainer excitedly, wanting to battle her.
A wild Aipom (Level 4) has appeared! Battle or Flee?
