OOC: Ariados lead, and then Cacnea use Feint Attack IC: Not long after he had arrived in this part of the forest, Alex had encountered another ghostly Pokemon that wandered in this area. He was beginning to wonder if these ghosts were henchman of a bigger villain, or just psychotic Pokemon who seemed to be attracted to the Chikorita suffering in pain. Although the forest was shrouded in fog and dense tree branches, Ariados was the first to be alert of the little Pokemon up in the air. It was a Shuppet that looked like a dark spot up high, but then after it had shrieked and summoned the ghostly wind, even Noctike and Alex figured a ghost Pokemon was nearby.
"Noctike, Feint Attack," Alex gave a simple order, with a bit of coarseness in his voice, and then a yawn. He was lacking sleep and seriously have no idea what time it was right now. He was still tired and sleepy, or rather, having those feelings gradually increased since the last battle. How many ghosts does he have to squash before he could catch a decent sleep?
Spiden the Ariados approached forward first, as she was fearless and readied to attack. However, upon hearing the order and seeing the young Cacnea still haven't evolved, she stepped back and let the un-evolved young Pokemon to take over. Noctike happily shifted her big eyes and face to show that she was serious about this battle, and then launched a Feint Attack on the floating cloth.

The evil Shuppet was a bit smarter than the Duskull Alex had fought earlier or at least so it thought. The specter could sense that Alex was going to switch Pokemon at the start of the battle and it had devised a strategy to make sure it would not be able to be hit by any of their moves. As soon as Noctike jumped ahead the ghost type began to shake from side to side. Before long the single Shuppet had turned into an army surrounding Alex and his Pokemon. Believing that no Pokemon would be able to tell it's true self from the illusions Shuppet calmly waited for the humans Pokemon to make a move. Waiting proved to be a disastrous mistake however as Noctike had a move that could instantly find the real Shuppet. Acting all innocent as it approached the army the cactus suddenly fired a series of pins destroying every one of the fake Shuppets. Once the real one was located it smacked the ghost in both of it's eyes with it's needle like arm. The ghost cried out in pain before turning into a mist as it headed deeper into the forest. For now at least Chikorita was safe but as it still was clearly in pain Alex still had work to do if he wanted to save the grass type. Evil Spirit BattleShuppet|level 17| HP: 0/39 (0%)Status: Normal Used Double Team, KO'edKO'ed! OOC: Boxing Whirlipede to take out Beautifly not leanring Ingrain
IC: Even though the Shuppet had made many shadowy copies of itself using the move known as Double Team, Noctike pulled through and was able to identify the right one. The Double Team startled Alex for a bit, as he thought that this ghost type would purposely drag out the battle again, like the two Duskulls that he had encountered earlier. However, the cactus Pokemon have her own wits and fired cactus pins toward the shadow copies, until only one remained. That was pretty clever! Soon enough, the cactus Pokemon knocked the floating cloth accurately and powerfully. This might have been the quickest battle that Alex had, as the Shuppet was gone as fast as it appeared, and this forest area was cleared of the dreaded fog once again. Thanking his Pokemon for their help, Alex held onto the sick or cursed Chikorita, and continued on to find this valley place so that the Chikorita could be cured or saved.
