(Team changes: Placido, Yakul, Egil, Rattata and Alfred (captured in my finished CGC thread)
Astrid looked around at the trees in Route 29, she had never expected to go backwards, but the last battles her pokemon had been in, had made it painfully clear neither she nor they where ready for the more challenging area around Cherrygrove. Astrid had always thought this pokemon journey thing would be just like that, a journey, traveling around and see the world with occasional battling here and there, and she had expected her pokemon to do most the work. They did, but she had realized that she as a Trainer had to take responsibility for her pokemon or else it would end in chaos and they would get injured. She had to learn how to train her pokemon so they could do better in battles and she would need to learn to take control of the situation. She needed to learn to be a leader. She was well aware that this was not going to happen overnight, which she had spent thinking at the Pokemon Center, but she was going back to basic and would take this serious. Her retirement was over!
Yakul bounced happily around, full of energy as allways. It was the first time she experienced this kind of weather and she found it funny everytime she was blown off her feet by the strong winds. The rattata trailed after her, keeping a good distance and generally just behaving like he wanted to be left alone. Astrid had offered him to get released, but he had refused. He hadn't anything to go back to anyway. the last two she had with her, was Placido and the new taillow she had just caught, and whom she had chosen to call Alfred. The green taillow was dignified and calm, which Astrid liked about him, and he had politely greeted the rest of her team, when she had introduced them to each other in the evening.
Astrid had decided to leave Ella, Cyan and Janus behind this time. She had a feeling she and Ella needed a bit of time away from each other, as the headstrong froakie hadn't seemed happy about her since the first battle in Cherrygrove. On the other hand, Astrid was the one who neede a break from Cyan as the mudkip was happy and energetic, but still needed constant reassuring and she had to keep an eye on him to be ready to comfort him. If she needed to focus on her own training, she couldn't give him the attention he needed. And Janus had just proved that he surely didn't needed any training! He had grown a lot in a few days, which made Astrid really proud of her little joltik friend.
She paused and leaned at her walking cane while she looked around again. She only had one problem with her plan, she had no idea how to train herself to be a pokemon trainer.
(ooc: Egil is officially not excisting yet, I just need to have him on the team, so I can use him in the Group Quest)

With many thoughts going through her mind, Astrid and her slightly switched around team made their way back to the very beginning of the Johto Region, Newbark Town. The Pokemon in the area were fairly weak and young, so it was a good place for any new trainer to begin. With the determination and ideals to better herself as both a person and a trainer, Astrid had felt that it was best to return to the place where it had all began. Perhaps she would have better luck finding the inspiration she needed here after partaking in battles with the local wildlife. Accompanied by her team, the mature woman used her walking stick as support to fight past the cold winds which blew rapidly across the route. Luckily it wasn't strong enough to topple her over but it was best to be cautious.
As she took a moment to pause, the Rattata which had been accompanying her lifted his nose slightly into the air. His little nostrils twitching, it seemed that the rodent had caught the scent of something. Whether it was a wild Pokemon or food, it didn't matter, as he soon turned his had away to feign ignorance. But perhaps it would've been better to warn Astrid, as his nose had indeed picked up on an approaching opponent. Pulled away from the tree branch it had perched itself on due to a sudden, particularly strong gust of wind, a little red Pokemon tumbled from the tree tops and landed on the ground before Astrid. An irritable squeak escaping from it's general direction, the Pokemon wriggled it's way back onto it's feelers before glancing to the side, spotting the human.
The Pokemon was known as a Wurmple, a small red bug with a number of poisonous horns which were used to ward danger away from it. With round eyes, the wild Pokemon remained staring up at the human before all of a sudden, shuffling backwards in fear. Lowering it's head, the Wurmple pointed it's stringer in Astrid's direction. If she would try anything, then this bug was more than willing to fight back in order to defend itself.
A wild Wurmple (Level 3) has appeared! Please select a Pokemon to use in battle or flee!

Rattata was not used to being outside the city. He and Spearow had sometimes ventured a bit outside of their known territory, but never this far. He had been born and lived his whole life in the that place and he found the nature weird and unsettling. Everything moved all the time, and there seemed to be little to no food, with the little there was being boring nuts. No, he would chose city life anytime, there you could at least get a decent meal from any of the trashcans. It didn't mean that he would shy away from following Astrid out into the wild, that he didn't like it didn't mean he would avoid it. It wasn't like he had any reason to stay back in cherrygrove now his friend was gone. They had always been aware that it could happen, but since their species were both found before reaching it, most trainers had little reason to capture them. The times where they hadn't managed they had escaped, but now luck had run out. Rattata looked at the old woman who fought against the wind, at least she seemed nice enough, though that didn't mean he would trust her just yet. He paused as the wind brought a smell of something living, but unknown to his nose. He trotted after Astrid and decided that he didn't like her enough to warn her either.
Astrid looked surprised at the wurmple in front of her and then smiled warmly to it. "Do you want a little trainings battle? Nothing harmful of course," she said warmly and glanced back at the rattata, who had sat down and watched sulkily. He did not look like one who wanted to battle. "Yakul!" Astrid called but got no response from the skiddo, who was attempting to taste the leaves on a branch, which the wind pushed around. She called again and Yakul looked towards her only to discover the wurmple. She lowered her head and charged.
"No!" Astrid exclaimed and grabbed after the skiddo's horns as she charged past her. She managed to touch them and Yakul stopped abruptly to stare confused at Astrid, she wanted to battle it but not like this? Then what? "We need to be sure it wants to battle you, let's ask it first," Astrid explained and Rattata shook his head behind her. It was clear to him that the skiddo didn't understood a word of what she said. "Do you want to battle Yakul here?" Astrid asked kindly and Yakul turned to look at the wurmple and tensed her muscles in preparation from the upcoming batttle. She lowered her head a bit and stared determined at the little bug.

Lifting its miniature head up, the Wurmple nodded its head at what Astrid had asked. All it could really think about however were the lush, green leaves adorned to the Pokemon's body. If it got close enough there was no doubt it'd equate to a tasty treat. The Wurmple had been feeling rather peckish lately as well now that it had thought about it. Letting a tiny bit of drool escape its mouth as it daydreamed absent mindedly, it appeared Yakul was definitely ready to get things started. Having already stormed onto the scene, the grass goat was pumping itself up to fight and with Astrid giving her the ok to enter into the foray in a roundabout way and the Wurmple saying nothing to the contrary, it meant it was flexing time. Taking a few steps forward, the Skiddo began to tense up noticeably as it flexed what parts of its body it could to show off it had some impressive muscle behind its frame. Tensing further, the Pokemon seemingly exploded up in size as its muscles expanded to reflect it had used the move Bulk Up. Thanks to this, the Pokemon now looked a lot more threatening in comparison to the goat which had been grazing prior. Letting out a snort from her nostrils, it almost seemed as if the Pokemon was proudly showing off itself at the would be opponent. However, this intimidation would prove to be too much. The Wurmple had first seen the Pokemon as little more than a tasty snack to get its mandibles into but with how boisterous the Skiddo was now looking, it had the Wurmple flailing around worriedly, its many legs writhing back and forth as the Pokemon now realised its chances were slim to none in achieving this. Falling into such a deep state of despair, the only thing the Pokemon could do in a time like this was act in self defence. Letting out an ear piercing shriek, the Pokemon let loose a sudden expulsion of a fine, silk like string which jettisoned at an impressive rate towards Yakul. Still brimming with confidence from having shown off its prowess, Yakul would be taken by surprise as the sticky, debilitating string shot covered her from head to hoof. Ending the string shot with another shriek, the Wurmple nervously looked at Yakul again to see if the Pokemon had taken the hint and ran off. Sadly, it was still there. As buffed up as ever. Gulping, the Wurmple wondered if the sticky mess would only exacerbate matters. Wild Battle

"So you do want to battle?" Astrid asked pleasantly surprised. The wurmple had looked a bit scared to her, so she had expected it to turn tail and run away, now she had given it the oportunity. Perhaps that was even the reason it had chosen to stay, that she had given it a choice must have made it clear to it, that she would accept its retreat with no complain. She smiled pleased and looked back at the rattata behind her for a short moment, just to be sure he was still there. He was still sitting and didn't look like he was going anywhere, so she turned her focus back on the imminent battle in front of her.
"Alright Yakul, now you stay calm and let me get a chance to keep up here," Astrid ordered, while the skiddo stomped with a hoof and presented her horns threateningly to the wurmple. Yakul had seen the look the bug had given her, and it was bugging her. She snorted and wasn't exactly sure what it was that troubling her, but something told her that she didn't wanted it to get too close. She jumped startled when the white sticky thread came flying and covered her and shook her head to try get free of it. What was all this? Yakul soon realized it wasn't hurting her, but it was quicte annoying that she couldn't get it off and it threw her focus off a bit, as she concentrated on the strings instead of her opponent. The skiddo lowered her head and tensed her muscles once more, before she threw her head back in an intimidating manner and shook her horns around wildly. She tried to get rid of the stringshot by pure strength and she gathered it the best way she knew, by bulking up.
"Here we are, let me see," Astrid said as she poked at the pokedex, not paying the little battle any attention. "Bulk up?" She murmured a moment later, that sounded familiar, but where had she heard about that before? "We should probably try prepare a bit before going into head to head combat," Astrid continued thinking aloud and pondered for a bit, while Rattata sighed bored behind her. How long were she going to wait do something? He began to understand why her pokemon had started that battle alone, since this simply took too long time. Had this been a battle against something just a tiny bit more experienced, they would have lost the fight by now.
"Why not," Astrid said to herself with a shrug, "Yakul, try use Bulk Up," she ordered and said the move loud and clear, but the skiddo was already way ahead of her.

Shaking her horns and kicking her feet about manically, Yakul tried her best to clip through the sticky string shot which had been thrown across her body. But she soon found out that the more frantically she moved, the more tangled the string shot became, ultimately slowing the Skiddo down. Puzzled at this strange feeling, the grass type wasn't fond of this string at all and awaited some support from Astrid. As the elderly lady referred back to her Pokedex to aide her decisions which would further mold the battle at hand, she seemed to come to some understanding of one of Yakul's moves but in the meantime, the wild Wurmple had taken some action of it's own. Noticing that the opposing opponents was a bit on the cautious side, the somewhat nervous Wurmple had gathered up the courage to attack first this time. Though most of it was due to the Skiddo becoming tangled up and slowing down.
With a lowered head, the Wurmple had begun to wriggle across the ground and with a sudden jump, shot through the air and tackled the Skiddo right in the chest. In a way, the wild Wurmple had hoped to grab a sneaky bite of one of the many delicious looking leaves across the Skiddo's body but it had been unsuccessful. Upon landing the strike, the Wurmple fell onto it's many, tiny feet and looked up at Yakul to see her reaction. Possibly more annoyed at the string shot still, Yakul had heard the words of Astrid and with another tense of her body, felt every single muscle expand somewhat. Now, she felt much stronger than she had done previously and despite being young and inexperienced, was starting to get a better chance of becoming victorious in this battle. Now all she had to do was either play it safe and pump those muscles a bit more or go in for the attacks.

Rattata watched the battle and rolled his eyes. This was really a babyfight and would be really boring to watch with a risk he would be sent out to finish the job. That would be boring too, since the wurmple didn't look like it would be a challenge to him at all. He rose and started to sniff around nearby in the hope of learning a bit about the surrounding and find something interesting to do.
Astrid looked closer at Yakul as it didn't look like she did anything when she told her to, but the skiddo clearly looked more tense and battle ready than before. Perhaps she had already done it? "Are you ready Yakul?" Astrid asked while the skiddo got herself more tangled into the sticky thread and had lost most of her concentration on the battle. "Yakul!" Astrid called sternly and the skiddo looked surprised at her. "Tackle," she said slow and clearly while pointing at the wurmple. Yakul looked confused at her and followed her finger until she looked at the pink bug. She raised her ears like it was the first time she saw it and looked uncertain back at Astrid. "Tackle," repeated Astrid reassuringly and Yakul started to kick the grass again and snort threateningly. Suddenly she leaped forward and raced towards the wurmple. As she got nearer she lowered her head and attempted to ram the bug. The Bulk-ups made the strength rush thorugh her veins and she felt powerful like never before. She wouldn't be surprised if she sent the bug flying from her tremedious blow, whenever she hit it. Astrid followed her with her eyes, hoping to learn something from this.

The small Wurmple noticed that Yakul was becoming bulkier and when the time came for the Skiddo to attack, the small red bug feared for it's soft bodies safety. Before that could happen, it needed to try and fend off the leaf cloaked goat. Wriggling it's mouth as if chattering to itself, the Wurmple could clearly see that the string shot had well and truly tangled up Yakul, effecting her speed and reaction time. It was such a big distraction that even the elderly human lady took a stern word or two to drag her own Pokemon back into reality. For now, the wild bug knew that it's prized thread would slow the Skiddo down for some time and thus, all it could do other than that was continue with a frontal attack. If it was able to get rid of the goat, there was no doubt that the other Pokemon with Astrid would attack but it would worry about that when the time came.
Not yet mature enough to make poison, for now, all the Wurmple could do was follow suit with tackle attacks of it's own. Moving forward as Yakul was distracted by the string shot, the Wurmple manoeuvred in between the kicking legs of the Skiddo and tackled into her under belly. Flinching, the Wurmple had enough time to back off before Yakul attacked back in return. With the stern guidance of Astrid and bulk muscles, the Skiddo felt that her legs had become much more sturdy thanks to the previous bulk up orders. Moving with much more stability, the Skiddo had never felt stronger. Approaching the Wurmple with dangerous bounds, the Wurmple felt it's whole body quiver as Yakul lowered her horns and collided head first with the bug. Luckily, the downward angle of the attack meant that the poor Wurmple didn't fly through the air but instead felt itself grind against the floor. Wincing, the attack dealt a fair bit of damage to the fragile bug.

"You are doing great!" Astrid cheered Yakul on as the skiddo had managed to make her first successfull tackle, that didn't look like it would end with her fainting shortly after. Yakul pranced back to Astrid with the occasional weird movement with head and legs, as she still tried to get rid off the sticky thread that had worked its way inot her leafy fur and pulled annoyingly at her legs. Yakul still found it all a bit strange, but she had settled with that Astrid wanted her to protect her from the pink bug, though it had been confusing in the beginning. The way the wurmple looked hungrily at her, only confirmed that she had to keep it in a safe distance from Astrid. Who knew what it would try to do to her? "Do it again," Astrid encouraged and looked closely at her youngling. She wanted to be sure she didn't miss if Yakul was getting tired and would need a break or a potion, though for now the skiddo seemed well enough as she bounced back towards the wurmple, ready to lower her head as soon as she got close enough. Astrid looked around when she deemed that Yakul was doing fine for now, and she could take the risk of looking after the rattata, which she had forgotten briefly. "Rattata? Where are you?" She asked a bit concerned when she couldn't see him, and she smiled warmly when he appeared from behind a tree after a moment. "There you are, enjoying taking a look around?" She asked him kindly but he didn't gave her any respons. "Just tell me if you need anything, I have brought snacks and water," she told him with a smile before she turned her attention back to Yakul.
There hadn't been much of interest around in the forest in Rattata's opinion, mostly trees, grass and dirt. Why anyone wanted to live out here was beyond him. When Astrid called he hesitated unsure if he wanted to do as she wished. She would probably just get him to attack the wurmple, and he didn't really wanted to do that. When she just wanted to know where he was and offered him snacks he sat down sulkily, he could find food for himself alright, he didn't need her help. He ignored the battle and instead watched Astrid why he thought about what it was about her that iffed him and made him so reluctantly to get to know the woman. Her pokemon team he had a reason to dislike, but she seemed nice enough, so why did he want to growl at her every time she opened her mouth? Astrid encouraged Yakul again and Rattata's eyes widened as he realized what the problem was: the name! She had given and used nicknames for all her pokemon except him, and now he thought about it, she acted like this was a temporary solution. His shoulder dropped.
He didn't know that Astrid hadn't given him a name to avoid pressing him into something he didn't want to. She could understand that he wasn't interested in being with her team, and had been very surprised when he hadn't grapped the offer to get released. She wasn't sure what he wanted and didn't wanted to force him on her team if he rather wanted to leave. She just tried to respect any decission he might take, eventually.
(ooc: I think there is a mistake with Wurmple's HP, in the way that it has too many. From what I can see, it has the amount a level 5 would have?)

Wurmple was beginning to realize that Yakul was a bit stronger than the Pokemon it was used to fighting in the area and the bug was not sure what the best option was moving forward. Running away was out of the picture and although Tackle had done some damage it could not shake the feeling that the goat was still too fast. The bug was glad it did not have to face Astrid's Rattata as it would easily outrun it but at least a Skiddo was not too fast giving it a fighting chance. As unusual as a Skiddo was in the area it had done a rather decent job but this battle was still far from over. While Astrid tried to keep track of her Rattata Wurmple decided it would try to slow down Yakul even more planning on causing the goats speed to drop to almost nothing so it would have more time to plan an attack. If Astrid's Rattata kept disappearing the plan might just work. At least for the time being however Astrid had paid enough attention in order to give her Pokemon and order to repeat it's last attack. Yakul could hardly move with all the string shot covering her legs but as she forced herself forwards it was not long before she got to a slow gallop heading right for Wurmple. The poor bug stood no chance of dodging the attack and the force of the attack sent it skidding across the ground at a high speed. With Yakul taking a slight advantage as the round ended Wurmple was really in a tough spot. If Astrid got distracted there still might be hope however that was a big if. Unless that happened or something else major happened there was no telling who would win the battle but the one thing that was for sure was that Wurmple could not keep taking this kind of damage for much longer. Pokemon Battle

Astrid's Yakul: | Level 2 | Health: 60% (9/15 HP) Status: Normal (Attack +2, Defense+2, Speed -4) How much more can you take? Move: Tackle
Ooc: It was too high so I adjusted it. String Shot as of Gen VI now lowers speed by two stages so I adjusted that to the correct value as well.

Now Rattata was not only sad he had lost his friend, he also felt unwanted so he was beginning to get depressed. The day had been awful so far. The worst of it all though, was that he was bored out of his mind. The woman could probably not see it, and the youngling surely wouldn't know, but Rattata was sure the battle would be over soon. It would be a matter of minutes from his guess. He sighed annoyed as he pushed away the depressing thoughts. He knew that rattata's was often left in storing devices and forgotten, and he wasn't going to waste the time he had outside by sulking and hating his life. Today, however, he must draw a line under his regrets and at least his friend had seemed like he had got a good home which would comfort him. He pulled himself together and turned his attention away from the battle in front of him, he had to figure out what he wanted to do, now he had refused the offer to be released, and how he was going to make that happen. He didn't know how much time he had to figure it out though, who knew how long he would be with Astrid?
Despite what Rattata thought, Astrid could see that the wurmple looked worse for the wear and she could guess that it was going to surrender soon. She looked thoughtful at Yakul, who cleary was annoyed by the stringshot, but otherwise looked as energetic as ever. She would be fine as long at the wurmple didn't hit her with something really powerful, but Astrid counted on that not to happen. From what she knew bugs were rarely dangerous, though they could be a really annoyance if there were enough and was near your garden. "You are doing great Yakul, go on," Astrid encouraged the skiddo who was trying to eat the sticky thread to get rid of it, which resulted in her teeth to stick together as well. "As soon as it give up and you have won the battle, I can help you get rid of that, but we need to make sure it doesn't cover you in more," Astrid explained, and Yakul immediately turned her attention to the wurmple with a determined expression. Now she wanted to get it to surrender as fast as possible, since it apparently was the only way she could get rid of the thread. She winced as she leaped forward, the thread pulled unpleasantly in her leafy fur everytime she moved, but she continued nevertheless and lowered her head to tackle her opponent once more.

Wurmple could hardly move as another round was about to begin as it was still exhausted from the numerous Tackle attacks it had been the victim of. With almost nothing keeping it standing the bug was in a lot of trouble. The lack of energy as well as Yakul's boosted strength would more than likely spell disaster for the bug as the goat was ready to charge again. As it lacked the energy to use any move that required movement it's only choice was to try one final string shot hoping that Yakul would get stuck in the web and be unable to make another move. Building up all of it's remaining energy the bug fired more of it's sticky web towards the goat and then waited to see if it's plan had worked. The goat was covered from the neck down in a stick web making movement almost impossible. She still was full of determination and through that alone she was able to slowly make her way towards Wurmple ready to deliver the final blow. As she scraped her hind legs on the ground she began to charge towards the bug giving the attack everything she could to make sure it would not get back up. As the two Pokemon collided Wurmple was sent flying into a small rock leaving it knocked out cold as the battle came to a close. Yakul had overcome the bugs sticky web and won the battle gaining quite a few levels in the process. As the Wurmple lie motionless on the ground it was up to Astrid if she would capture it or not. The bug had no hope of evading capture if she decided to capture it as it was still exhausted from the battle. Regardless of her choice Yakul was very proud to have won the match even if her foe was far from a powerful Pokemon. Pokemon Battle

Skiddo got tears in her eyes as the stringshot glued er even more together, but she ]had to protect Astrid against this... this creature which gave her so much pain. She would endure it for Astrid, the old woman was fragile and needed her! She more staggered than ran towards the wurmple, clenching her teeth to keep both whining and tears inside. She had a job to do and she would finish it! Somehow she mustered enough speed so her tackle actually did some damage, though it was more a powerful swing with her head than the running towards it, that made the difference. And that the wurmple was so injured already. She stared at the wurmple for a long moment, not wanting to be taken off guard (again). "Oh my!" Astrid gasped behind her and despite Yakul's protest, the old woman hurried past her and leaned over the wurmple to take a closer look. She let a pokeball drop on it before she turned back to Yakul, who was beginning to relax now the threat was gone. She stood completely still to avoid pulling too much at her fur, and she cried whiningly when Astrid leaned over her and touched her to try help her. "You have really become much stronger in a short time," Astrid said awed though it was mixed with worry. "I fear I can't do much to help you, and that poor bug got beaten pretty badly," Astrid said regretfully. "That was not what I had in mind when I asked if it wanted to battle us," she sighed sadly, knowing it wasn't yakul's thought. She was too young to know her own strength, and Astrid had still some way to go, before she knew it too. "I'll better get you two back to the Pokemon Center, I'm sure they can patch you up, and then we can set free our friend again," Astrid said wearily and reacalled Yakul before she called for the rattata and hurried back to cherrygroove's Pokemon Center. Only a half an hour later, she was back on Route 29 with an absentminded rattata in town. Nurse Joy had had something that had easily could disolve the sticky thread and Yakul wasn't injured much, so after a short visit by chansey she was sent with Astrid again. The Wurmple required a bit more resting and Joy agreed to let him, as she informed Astrid, relax in the blankets for a while, since he clearly enjoyed a completely safe relaxing area and enjoyed being fussed over by Joy's helpers. Astrid attentively looked around as she wanted to find a proper oppoenet for her pokemons training, and she would prefer not to beat them to unconciousness like the last time. She was not out here to capture a lot of pokemon, it was only to learn how to battle in a bit calmler area than Cherrygorve apparently was. Please place in box for now. With the Wurmple recovering his health, and Astrid looking around to find a proper opponent for her Pokemon, the Pokemon Center in Cherrygrove City seemed quiet at first. Well, the area itself was already quiet, let alone finding an appropriate opponent for her Pokemon's experience. Just as it felt like nobody else was around, a young boy shouted from across the Pokemon Center, and ran up to Astrid. "Heey! Ma'am! Do you remember me? Do you remember Mikey? I was the bug trainer who Mikey introduced! I thought you went to Cherrygrove City! Are you visiting New Bark Town again? Would you like a battle with me right here?" A kid in shorts and white tee shirt and straw hat appeared, carrying a big bug catching net on one hand. He was surprised to see the old woman here, and he wasn't going to let this opportunity pass by, especially since his friend Mikey had battle her and he hadn't. Maybe her Pokemon had grown since the last time Mikey had battled her? Not to mention, she had Pokemon unusual around the area here, and it would be so cool to see their abilities!

Astrid had been quite surprised when the wurmple had decided to stay in the Pokemon Center, and she wondered if he had been here before, he seemed to know hi way around. He didn't act like he was bothered at all by having being caught by her and she wondered if he had tried it before.
Astrid was on her way out of the door when a young voice called her back, and she looked surprised to see who knew her here. It took her a moment to recognize Don as she had only met him briefly under the downpour, and another moment of confusion as he asked her what she was doing here in New Bark's Pokemon Center. Then a smile spread on her face as it dawned on her. "You little rascal, you really got mere there. Tricking me into believing I was back in New Bark Town," she laughed, "I did not even know there was a Pokemon Center there and you still had me thinking for a moment." She looked at the young boy with a warm smile. "How should I ever forget you? You were both such gentlemen and helped me," she said kindly as Yakul stomped impatiently with a foot. "Looks like Yakul needs to burn of some more energy, and I am trying to learn to battle better, so a battle sounds good," Astrid said and then got a tad more serious. "Though not in here, it is too much of a mess. Come with me, let us go and find a nice area outside," she said and lead the way out of the pokemon center and back inot route 29. There the risk of getting interrupted by something bigger, hopefully a bit smaller. "So have you done anything funny since we last saw each other?" She asked conversationally and would listen closely to what he told her.
"This is a nice place, do you not agree?" Astrid asked when they come a place that wasn't inside Cherrygrove and where they wouldn't bother anyone with a littel battle. "Are you ready Yakul?" Astrid asked with a smile and the skiddo shook her leafy mane and tensed her muscles to be ready for the battle. "I am glad you want to battle Don, we really need a lot of practice," Astrid said honestly, "Some of them have fainted in the last couple they have been in lately and I prefer to avoid that," she said seriously and waited to see what he would do.
