Having not only delivered a miracle cure to an ailing Pokemon and also mopped up a troublemaker's mess throughout the city, Joey was definitely feeling entitled to a bite to eat at this point. Considering throughout his time in Olivine that everyone had kept mentioning the establishment it had been raised to quite lofty heights in his mind. From what he remembered, the cafe was something of a tourist attraction in the fact it severed near divine food in terms of its taste. " Man oh man, I cannot wait to scarf down some tasty chow. Seriously, all I seem to be eatin' these days is berries off trees from all the time we spent out in the field. For once, i'm gonna get a tasty treat." Although he was a thief, it didn't seem right somehow stealing food from such a revered eatery. That and he had actually amassed some money from all the aid he had given to the people of Olivine. Patting his pocket, he grinned raucously as he looked to the front of the premises. " Alright, prepare yourself. I'm gonna eat and eat and eat until there's not a crumb left. I could eat a Rapidash!" Walking through the door, he was greeted by the sight of many rather impressive looking sailors. At least, he thought they were sailors judging from their attire alone. Paying not much further heed to it, he moved over to a spare seat. Kicking the chair back and sitting himself down, he sat in a very cavalier manner as he rest his shoulder and an arm on the edge of the chair and used the other to get the attention of a lady that appeared to be a waitress. His grin still present from ear to ear, he rubbed his belly and laughed. " Yo waitress. I'm here for one thing and one thing only. Gimme your five course special!" Licking his lips and rubbing his hands together, Joey was salivating over the idea of a luxury selection of food to eat through but what he wasn't aware of was the fact they also dabbled in a gauntlet of fights. And it just so happened the phrase he had accidentally used was the one which acted as a challenge to take on the fight gauntlet itself. Raising an eyebrow as she seemed a little taken aback, Joey commented. " Err... I say somethin' wrong?" Taking a moment to look around, it appeared the rest of the clientèle of the cafe had paused, almost frozen in time. People froze with their sandwiches hovering before their mouths, others raising a glass to their lips whilst other people merely seemed to be looking at Joey.

The Cafe seemed stopped in time with all eyes frozen on Joey as he waltzed in with such cocky pluck. He had the nerve to only give the sailors a sideways glance before plopping into his chair and ordering such a... meaty course. Some almost seemed offended, until one sailor, plump in nature with a feather in his hat, stood up. His chair drug across the floor as he stepped back, but then all was silent once more as he made his way across the cafe to face Joey and his confusion. The tension could have been cut with a knife, and the waitress took a step back, sighing. She knew what was coming, and she'd be the one to clean up later. "You seem pretty hungry, boy... You sure you ain't biting off more than you can chew? You're a skinny lad..." He opened one eye to stare down Joey, waiting for a reaction before throwing his head back in a large belly laugh. His laugh echoed through the Cafe before the other sailors and patrons joined in. "Hah! Don't worry boy, i'm just messin' with ya! Although, i'm surprised you walked straight in for a battle! With as hungry as you look, I figured you'd wanna eat first before you challenge this old Sailors Gauntlet! No matter." Waving his hand before Joey could protest, the man pushed a table to the side to create space in front of Joey for the battle. "The names Noah, and you Noah there's about to be a hot battle! I've faced many trials and tests out at sea, and my body is as sturdy as my boat! And... I ain't ever had to get a new boat. So, there's that. Lemme explain the rules for ya, kid, before we start." Other sailors had stood up to move closer to watch the battle, a few with amused grins and smirks on their faces. "Five course special includes a one-on-one battle from five of the best sailors, and best damn all around people, in Olivine. You can only use a max of three Pokemon against us, and we'll only use one of ours against you. Beat all five of us and we won't throw ya out to sea, hows that sound?" Noah tried to keep a straight face, but laughed. "Nah, we'll let you eat and then we'll give you a few prizes. I've lost all my intimidating when I gained this belly, didn't I?"A few sailors let out a snicker or a joke, and Noah let them calm down before pulling a pokeball off of his belt. "Oh, and losers clean up the Cafe after we're all done. So, hope you worked up an appetite, because here's your first, and last, course!" Noah chucked a Pokeball into the air. When it fell and clinked open, a large dopey Pokemon was released. It's large tail slammed against the floor with a surprising amount of force and weight. "Bibarel is a lot like me. Don't let the looks fool ya, we've both been tested by rough waters!" Bibarel was Noah's first choice, so it was up to Joey to start this Gauntlet if he ever wanted to eat. And, of course, if he didn't want to clean up the Cafe. Sailor Noah sends out Bibarel! (Level 36) Joey has started the Olivine Cafe 5-course special!

Clearly a little unsure still as to why his order was so ill received, he broke his gaze with the waitress and cocked an incredulous shift of his eyebrow at the other cafe goers. "There a problem?" It wasn't until a stocky older fellow moved on over that Joey began to realise what he had just landed himself in. Listening to him as he initiated conversation, Joey continued to lean back casually in his chair. Smirking in a joking manner, Joey responded to the first of the sailor's words. "Hah! Damn right i'm hungry. I could probably clean this place out. After the day i've had, i've built up the appetite. Believe it." Unsure about what his frame had to do with it, Joey eased up a little as the man laughed off his introductory chatter and explained the situation. "Straight into battle? Huh, what the hell you talkin' about? I came here for some g'damn--" A little unsure still, Joey was pretty sure he had ordered up the cafe's special food course. But then it dawned on him. Thinking back to Jasmine's words back in their gym fight, she had mentioned something along the lines of a gauntlet style throw down. "--Oh." Letting out a reluctant laugh, he slowly trailed off and watched as the sailor was eager to get the fighting going by pushing aside the table.
Remaining in his chair, Joey looked up, his head tilting to the side somewhat. He was incredibly hungry at this point, to the stage his stomach was crying out for anything just to sate the emptiness he had. Rolling his head from side to side, Joey stood up as the sailor introduced himself as Noah. "Noah, huh? Mine's Joey." His weariness subsiding as Noah made a rather amusing joke with his name, the rebel biker realised he was going to have to fight for his meal. Hearing him recount his experiences as a sailor, Joey got the feeling this wasn't just any fighting gauntlet. "Rules huh? Alright. S'long as I get a meal outta this." Listening over Noah's words, Joey recalled the underground gauntlet in Goldenrod he had heard rumours about and realised this was virtually the same. "Psh, i'm game. I may be waning from hunger but a fight's a fight. And I live an' breath a good brawl." Chuckling as Noah mentioned about his belly softening his intimidation, Joey shook his head. "I'll reserve comment until I get a load of yer Pokemon. I bet a wizened sailor like you has got some right partner backin' you up."
Moving further away to give the battle itself some space for their Pokemon, Joey reached to his belt holster and took out three Pokeballs. He had a whole sortie to choose from but he knew in situations such as these, he could rely on his steadfast partners. In fact, the very three he was selecting had helped him through some of his tightest confrontations. Keeping them on hand, he took out one in particular to head off the first round. Looking back over to Noah, Joey smirked as he heard the clause about the loser clearing up. "Hahaha, i'll make you eat them words. Let's see what'cha got!" Watching as Noah selected his entry for the fight, Joey wasn't sure what to expect. He had surmised earlier he may have had some typical sailor choice like a Machoke or a Tentacruel but when the rather plain Bibarel came into view, Joey was caught a little off guard. "Wasn't what I was expectin' but if you're sayin' you've sailed the seas and been tested by the waves, I hope you can make this interestin'." A cocky grin from ear to ear, Joey raised a Pokeball and finished his sentence. "'Cause when me and my pal here are gonna bring a tempest like you never seen before. Voltek, you're up!" Tossing the Pokeball forward, Joey's Electivire landed into position. Rested up some from the previous mayhem caused by Galtek, Joey was pleased he could rely on him once again.
"Voltek, let's batter 'em as hard as the waves! Give 'em a Cross Chop!"

"Hah! I like your style!" Noah chuckled, watching Joey prepare himself for the battle. Noah was pretty confident, but didn't want to underestimate Joey just yet. He'd made it this far, so there was no reason to not give him a shot. It could have been a bumblin' rookie mistake to challenge the Gauntlet straight out of nowhere. The old sailor knew what it took to get ahead in life, and it wasn't something you could 'find.' You had to be made of the tough grit, and while Joey wasn't necessarily a sailor, he gave off a good enough vibe for Noah to assume he was made of something tough. "Yeah, everyone laughs at the Bidoof line. Hopefully i'll get a good chance to show you what they can do! It's kinda like how we sailors get stereotyped, ya know?" Noah chuckled. "Sayin' all we do is sail, look for ladies and eat our fill." A coughing laugh could be heard from behind a counter, and Noah scowled playfully. "Let's see what ya got, Joey." But the biker was well ahead of him as he sent out the Electivire. Noah whistled through his teeth. "Phew, when you go, you go hard, dontcha? Well, Bibarel, let's get to it!" While Noah prepared for the battle, Voltek had an order to execute. Cross Chop would be a world of bad news for Bibarel, so if Noah wanted to show the strength of that particular evolutionary line, he'd have to act quick... But, unfortunately, Voltek was quicker. "Bibarel, use -!" Voltek was already on top of Bibarel, raising his arms for the cross chop. The impact was legendary, and Bibarel let out a silent cry before falling to the Cafe floor with a loud thud. Noah stood, mouth agape slightly while the other sailors stopped in time once more. Bibarel had fallen, and Noah was defeated. Noah's Bibarel - Level |36| Health: 0/114 Current Status: Flavor Text No Attack! Joey's Voltek - Level |42|
Health: 128/128 Current Status: Eat this! Successful Cross Chop!
Voltek has fought valiantly, and gained 1,800 experience! (Happiness MAX) (3941/5419) Metyrant observed the battle and gained 600 experience for their efforts.
(738/3367)
The silence was finally broken by a thick, hearty laugh. Noah's head was tilted back and he grabbed his shaking belly before returning Bibarel. "One of these days i'll show ya, but for now, you beat us fair and square, Joey." Noah stepped forward over the dent in the floor and reached out to Joey for a hearty handshake. "You've got spunk, boy. And your Pokemon, well, at least this one, is tip top shape. You better keep it up. You've got William to worry about now... And uh, be sure to uh.." Noah began to whisper, and a sour looking Sailor stood up, straightening his shirt. "Are you talking about me again, Noah? Perhaps you could talk to the Cafe to get a broom." William chuckled, crossing his arms. His eyes lost their spark as he looked at Joey though. "A fluke, at best. Let's see how you do with a real sailor, eh? Noah's little fish boats don't count. I served in the military, and had training to boot." His belly shook a bit, and he put a hand on it to stop it. "Hah, yeah, YEARS ago..." Noah chuckled, not bothered by William's sharp tongue. He grabbed a broom and went off to the side. No point cleaning now when another battle was about to happen. "Which means i've had years on you. Can you defeat someone with experience?" William eyed Noah with a wily eye before releasing a Gastrodon. It's slime covered the floor. "Have fun cleaning, Noah!" "You say the sweetest things, William. Your words will have to be prettier though. That might work on your Navy mates though..." Noah winked, and William growled, glaring over at Joey. He was ready to end this. Sailor William thinks it's a fluke! He sends out Gastrodon (Level 37!) You have 2 Pokemon remaining.

Letting out a sarcastic laugh, Joey rolled his eyes and found himself agreeing with Noah's words about stereotyping. "As a biker, I get a fair bit of stereotyping going on. Some cases they have a point but others are really out there. Then again, where there's smoke there's fire..." The very same exaggerations he had thought about where exactly that. Exaggerations. They had sprouted from the root of something much smaller. Nevertheless, Joey hoped one stereotype of both biker and sailor was true. "As far as stereotypes go, I hope we both live up to bein' somethin' rowdy. This fight better be worthwhile!" Pumped up despite the toll of hunger waning on him, he watched as their two Pokemon stepped up to face one another. As far as he knew Bidoof weren't really the destroyer of worlds but given this was its evolved form, a Bibarel, and it looked like it had an edge about it, Joey remained eager to see what would happen. Sadly, Voltek's muscle and skill would prove to be too much of a detriment to Noah's team in hoping to prove anything. As his relentless arms came down in a crossing motion, the resounding noise filled the cafe before the Pokemon went slumping down with a thud to its defeat.
Knowing the extent of his Pokemon's strength having seen it being used time and time again on their various opponents, Joey nodded his head upon looking over to Noah. His silence and the look of the other sailors in the establishment said it all. Before the biker could get a word in to pave over the silence, Noah let out a hearty laugh as he accepted the outcome himself. "Don't worry, i'm sure you and ya Bibarel are somethin'. I really just don't want to be stuck on clean up duty." Giving him a friendly grin, he listened to what Noah had to say but was interrupted by the very same person the elderly sailor had been talking about. His eyes glancing over to the soured looking male, Joey cocked an eyebrow as their eyes met. "A fluke? Haha, I see you fancy a bit of cleanin' too, eh?" Realising this trainer thought rather highly of themselves, Joey noted the sailor had some credentials to back up the way he carried himself. Letting Noah get in a snide pot shot at William's track record, Joey had one of his own. "Psh, I hope that counts for your Pokemon too. Seein' as this is who we're gonna settle this." Letting Noah and William say their goodbyes for the time being, Joey took the time to take in the sight of the sailor's Pokemon choice. "A Gastrodon..." Realising this was a lot more apt given he was facing men of the sea, he realised he didn't have an immediate counter.
Noted to be part Ground, it meant he wouldn't be able to shock it into submission with Voltek's electricity. "Oi, Voltek, take seat on the bench." Letting his Pokemon stomp back, he hoped his next choice would be able to subdue the Pokemon with pure brawn alone. "Hood, you're up mate!" Tossing the Pokeball forward, a fidgety Scrafty popped forward as he kissed his teeth and sized up his opponent. "YO YO YO! WHAT IT DO HOMIES, HOLLLLAAAA!" Finishing with a flourish of his arms crossing over and showing off his bling, Joey hoped the Pokemon's ability to speak and crass show boating wouldn't be too much of a distraction. He wanted this gauntlet done and claim his actual five course meal. "Got a need for your kicks against these dudes." Explained Joey as he looked over to the Gastrodon once more. They were bulky but he hoped Hoodlum's powerful kicks would make short work. "Ay, ay, ay, hol' up. YOU BE NEEDIN' DIS SEVEN THREE OH BREAKIN' DA BEATS ON? WORD. Holla back, holla." Shifting to assume a rather haphazard fighting style, Hoodlum awaited the order. "I got'cha back, J-Balla, what you want holmes? How you wanna me go BOOYA on dis newjack, forilla?!" Despite having been with Hoodlum for sometime, Joey still barely understood the Pokemon's lingo. Nevertheless, this was ample time for an order. "Hi-Jump Kick! Let's see what all this experience amounts to, eh pal?" "WOOCHA! EAST SIDE UNOVA RE-PRE-SENT-UH."

vs Sailor William - ROUND 2__________________________________
Grumbling to himself after the words from Noah, William turned to place his focus back on the battle at hand but his opponent was like none other he had faced, even despite his years in the military. He had seen all manner of things but Hoodlum was in a league of his own. "What the heck..." Cautiously eyeing the Scrafty as he clicked his teeth and spoke in a somewhat humorous, yet hard to understand tongue, the Sailor pondered on just how Joey had gotten his hands on such a creature or otherwise, how he had trained it to act in such a way. "In all my years, I ain't seen or heard nothing like that. One to add to memory I guess." Still not certain on if he should feel intrigued or confused by Hoodlum, in the end, the Sailor decided to settle the decision with a battle. "No matter. Let's see how you both work together in battle. You might've knocked Noah out in one go but that old Sailor lacks something I've got."
"...And for your information, my Pokemon have been through thick and thin with me." Referring back to Joey's witty comment, William curled his top lip somewhat, "Damn youngsters." The sour Sailor muttering a few inaudible words to himself, he eventually ordered a move of his own, "Gastrodon! Use Attract! Reign that landlubber in!" The large sea slug was about to turn on her feminine charm but Hoodlum out sped any advances before the Gastrodon even had the chance to blink. He had been under the effect of Attract once before and it wasn't particularly pretty. Instead, the lithe Scrafty grabbed hold of his baggy trousers and took a dramatic leap into the air before positioning himself and crashing straight back down. A lone foot pointing downward, the Gastrodon rather slowly looked upward, trying to find a sign of the seemingly disappearing Scrafty, only to receive a kick to the face! The impact causing the slug to retract defensively, her pink, slimy body oozed across the ground. Submitting to defeat instantly, William was left baffled, "G-Gastrodon?..."

"Chop, chop now William! You know I absolutely hate to waste time! And with you standing there with a mouth akin to that of a Wailord, we are simply not going anywhere fast, are we?!" A rather proud and prominent voice parting through the few remaining sailors who sat within the Cafe, it seemed Joey had another new challenger. "Grr... If only I could have one more go. That was just a lucky hit!" Gritting his teeth angrily, William didn't want to admit defeat just like that but with a clap of his hands, the next male was swift to shoo him off. "Now, I am a busy man and your slow reactions are not welcome in this brawling environment!" His words spoken quickly and efficiently with a tone of superiority, William sighed as he withdrew his Pokemon and was hurriedly replaced.
Smartly presented and straight in posture, the man saluted to Joey as he introduced himself. "My name is Christopher, Captain of the SS Noire cruise ship! Let us have a fair battle!" His tone raising to the point where he was almost shouting, the man certainly had a demanding and dominate air about him. "I will be choosing Machamp!" Stating his choice clearly, the Sailor threw his choice of Pokemon forward, the ball erupting into a well built, muscular Machamp who posed proudly in front of his master. "Let us push our Pokemon to the limit and battle like men!"
Sailor Christopher steps up to battle! Christopher chooses Machamp (Level 38) to battle by his side! ROUND 3 BEGIN!

His thoughts coming to life, Joey had been right in assuming Hoodlum would be something of an anomaly which would cause a bit of commotion with the sailors and William especially. His face relaxing into something of a cheeky smile, Joey shrugged his shoulders in a cavalier manner and brushed it aside. "That's Hood for ya. I ain't gotta explain nothin'." His smile turning into more of a playful smirk, he stood forward in more of a steadfast stance and continued on. "Don't worry, the garish accessories and hood talk won't be the only thing burnt to memory. He's no slouch when it comes to the fightin' department either. You ain't gonna be disappointed." Hearing William's own strategy as he commanded out the move to the Gastrodon was enough to grip Joey on the edge of his seat. Leaning forward, he yelled out to his Scrafty to show some support. "Oi oi! C'mon Hoodlum, one swift kick to the noggin' and that Gastrodon ain't gonna have a chance to show off its wiles!" Letting out a small laugh to himself, he looked to Voltek and shuddered a little. "You gotta be a real degenerate to find that slimy sea slug attractive, am I right?" Thankfully, Hoodlum wasn't going to be putting the hoes before the bros. Launching himself forwards, pulling up his baggy lizard pants, he tore up into the air, yelling at the top of his lungs. "HOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAA BACK BIOTCH!" His savage kick now connecting with the Gastrodon, the whole of Joey's side went up in arms as it was clear the move was decisive in its impact. Landing down on the ground with a thud, Hoodlum used a hand to hold up one side of his trousers with the other hand lifted up and pulled a gang sign. "WOOOOOOOOOOORL' STAR, FASHO!"
Grinning, Joey looked over to William and raised an eyebrow. "Nice try pal." Before he could savour the victory some more, a sudden fast paced voice interrupted. Hearing the voice heckle the downtrodden sailor to move off, Hoodlum picked up on the words lucky hit. Much to his chagrin. "Aight, aight, aight. Listen son. Dat no lucky hit, ya dig? Yo playa hater failed da chin check, WORD. Holla back, we go round deuce, IMMAH RUN YO S$&@!!" Before Hoodlum could take William up on his offer of settling the fight in a second round, the owner of the voice made himself present. Taking in the sight of the smartly dressed captain, Joey pulled a little dumbfounded look and called out. "Hey man, what's the hurry? Your ship departin' in a few minutes or what?" Getting the impression this man lived in the fast lane, Joey took in the gentleman's introduction and gave him a half hearted saluting gesture with his hands as he introduced himself. "Joey. So, we gonna fight?" As soon as he said that, Christopher took out a Pokeball and sent out his choice. Greeted with a wall of pure muscles, Joey blinked a couple of times. "Woah a Machamp. This could be bit o' of a problem." Deliberating on his choice, Joey realised Hoodlum wouldn't stand much of a chance. "Hood, take a seat back here." Kissing his teeth, the Pokemon sauntered on backwards, mumbling under his breath. "Sheeeeeet. Dat mofo lucky I ain't gonna be throwin' no bolos on his hummin' scrub ASS, YOOOOO!" Taking out a final Pokeball which now locked him into these three Pokemon, Joey lobbed the Pokeball forward, summoning none other than Chugga. "Chugga! You're up!" Appearing forth with a stream of noxious fumes pouring out of his body, the levitating gas bag bubbled with excitement as the two heads took in the sight of their opponent. "Brah, you want this bone head poser sorted out right?" "BONE HEAD." Nodding his head, Joey focused back to Christopher and his Machamp. "Yeah, Sludge Bomb! That oughta tip the boat in our favour." Cocking a grin, Joey called out to Christopher specifically. "For someone who is as speedy in the fast lane as you, I sure hope you got the moves to wrap this up in no time. Your Machamp's powerful but Chugga here is a veritable fortress of defence. Give us yer best shot."

"We got some new equipments and trainees coming in today, so I would have to be there to train them as well as inspecting the new equipments again. Well, a lot of the equipments on the ship were still old, so we're working with new ones and old ones. Then we have to do some drills, you know, to make sure that if something does happen, everyone should have an idea on what they should be doing to ensure safety of others. Then I would just need to fill some paper works, electronically." Christopher sternly replied to Joey, about all the things he had to do. Even though he does have assistants and other sailors to help with other duties on the ship, he wasn't without work either. "I can make this battle as fast as both of us can. Machamp, use Thunder Punch and give it your all!"After that, the Machamp's arm began charging up electricity as it moved forward trying to get closer toward the Weezing. However, the zoned out poison type casually spewed some stinky, slimy sludge bomb at the Machamp's direction. Although Chugga was firing them randomly, the sludge bombs were evenly hit and missed on the target. When Chugga finally ran out of breath to fire the sludge bombs, the Machamp got closed and hit as hard as it could with a Thunder Punch. Thankfully for both of them, Chugga didn't get paralyzed from the thunder punch, and Machamp didn't get poisoned from the poison type attack. For someone like Joey who had OHKO the previous two opponents, Christopher finally put an end to that streak.

Folding his arms and listening to the officer's words, Joey bobbed his head from side to side with a subtle air of disinterest. So far the competition he had been up against was intriguing to say the least but the way this uppity fellow spoke and how quickly he brushed off the people before him made Joey form a less than impressed opinion of him. As the guy finally came to an end, amazingly not out of breath, Joey perked up and volleyed back a reply. "That's great an' all but err... Why are you here when you got so much on your plate? Sounds to me like you don't need an extra serving." Despite his lengthy itinerary, Christopher sharpened his banter to ending this as quickly as they needed. To which, Joey smirked and unfolded his arms as he stretched his arms. "We'll see pal. C'mon Chugga!" Wanting to speed things up, it was enough to coax his Weezing into a strike. Leisurely spewing out gunk all over the place, Joey gritted his teeth before letting out a relieved sigh as a glob of muck landed on the body builder Pokemon.
Clearly repulsed by the toxic waste, it showed a valiant display of fortitude as the Pokemon launched its thunder cloaked arm forward, battering into Chugga's balloon like hide. Absorbing the hit quite well, Chugga hovered backwards before reeling himself in. "Brah, you call that ya best shot? You hit like a pansy." "LIKE A PANSY!" The two heads chimed in having evaluated the Machamp's efforts. "So I see your 'Champ kept it together. 'Bout time someone could go toe to toe for longer than a round." Cracking his knuckles in a show off manner before working on his neck, he displayed a cocky grin as he decided on how the next round should be handled. "Doubt it'll go another round though. Chugga, 'nother round of Sludge Bomb! Let's blow these guys away so they can carry on with their busy lives." Bobbling up and down in acknowledgement, the gaseous creature focused all of its eyes on the Machamp before expanding in side, ready to fire off another assault.

vs Sailor Christopher - ROUND 3__________________________________
The stern sea captain stared blankly over at Joey, who questioned his appearance into the gauntlet styled battle which took place in the cafe. Holding a hand across his chest and standing straight, his authoritative tone bellowed throughout the little cafe. "That is simple! It is part of my schedule!" Taking into account that Joey might've been a simpleton and not understood, the male continued to explain his spot in this fight club. "I may be a Captain of a ship but I don't neglect my duty as a Pokemon trainer. This cafe has served as an anchor for many sailors over the years, so I show my gratitude by frequenting here often! Lunch and battling; two birds with one stone!" Nodding to affirm his reason, he couldn't help but momentarily glance down at the watch which sat on his wrist. "But time is ticking! This is taking longer than anticipated! Machamp! Full throttle!"
Throwing an arm forward animatedly as his loud tone continued on, the Machamp roared and tensed each of it's muscular arms. Ready to throw some sort of punch in Chugga's direction, the floating ball of gas had this battle in the bag. Up heaving a great big glob of sludge from the depths of it's gaseous, poison body, the attack struck the Machamp and with it, dissolved any remaining health it had left. Slumping to the ground weakly, Christopher stood in surprise, mouth ajar and seemingly frozen in time.

Silence rang throughout the cafe, until a loud alarm erupted from the wrist of Christopher. Not acknowledging his loss entirely, it seemed that this alarm came just in the nick of time. "GOODNESS! Look at the time! I have to get moving! That shipment will need to be examined in great haste!" Withdrawing his fainted Machamp, Christopher high tailed it out of the cafe, with one of the previous combatants shouting an irritated, "ARGH! He skipped out on cleaning duty AGAIN?!" A few murmurs going around the room, it seemed that the next one in line didn't approach Joey immediately. Sitting at the front serving bench was a young man, likely around Joey's age. Shoving a delicious looking sandwich into his mouth, he turned his head lazily to check on how the battle with Christopher was going... Only to realise he had gone and he was next in line.
Panicking a little, the boy hurriedly swallowed his lunch before tripping his way off of the stool and standing across from Joey. "Phew... That was close... I would've gotten a right ol' tellin' off from Ellen if I missed ma turn..." Muttering out loud to himself, the boy rubbed a hand on the back of his green mass of hair before grinning up to his opponent. "Howdy! 'Name's Horatio! I've been watchin' ye battle. Ye got a cool style goin' on!" Pulling more of a smirk than a smile, he tossed a Pokeball into the air before catching it in his hand. "Now it's my turn. I may just scrub the deck's and polish the cannon's but I love a good scrap." Throwing his choice forward, a large Kingler emerged from the flash of light, clicking it's large pincer intimidatingly.
Sailor Horatio says that it's his turn! Horatio chooses Kingler (Level 39) to battle! ROUND 4 BEGIN!

Hearing the sailor's excuse for being here, Joey couldn't help but let out a smirk filled laugh. Shrugging his shoulders in a nonchalant fashion, he apologised sarcastically. "Well. I am sorry for this unexpected delay to your finely planned schedule. Bet you must sweep up a lot of the challengers that come this way. And yet here we are. Still standing. Err. Floatin'." Responded Joey as he corrected himself at the end as Chugga made a cough as if to bring up how exactly the Pokemon levitated as opposed to standing about. Watching as the captain decided to order on his Pokemon by commanding the Machamp to give it every it had at full throttle, Joey gritted his teeth into a grin. If his opponent was going all out, it meant Joey would have to respond in kind. "Don't ease up yerself, Chugga! Let 'em have it!" Encouraging his Pokemon on, he knew full well his Pokemon would give their all. At this point, his core Pokemon allies all understood what it was to fight under Joey's command and they had no reluctance in doing so. Fights like these were the ones were sparks flew and the adrenaline pumped. Observing the buff Fighting type launching forwards with an electrified fist, Joey turned to Chugga and laughed to himself as the Weezing had chucked up a huge sludge filled bomb which exploded off in the target's face before it could get anywhere near. "Ah, the benefits of ranged combat." Commenting on his Pokemon's victory as Christopher stood with his mouth ajar, Joey's cocky grin spread from ear to ear.
Expecting some words from Christopher, the entire cafe was taken off guard as a loud alarm rung off, apparently signifying the captain it was time. Watching as he took off at the speed of light, Joey's cocky grin deflated into an expression of surprise. "Woah... He sure took off." Turning over his shoulder as he heard a previous combatant yell about him skipping duty, Joey shook his head. "Figures." Thankfully, with that slippery character now gone, it meant he could advance onto the next round. Or at least, that was the plan. "Hey, what gives? Have I won it all already? I thought this was a five course special?" Counting on his fingers, it seems he had just brushed off the third section. Before he could rile up the lack of an opponent further, another sailor who had just about scarfed down his food, tripped off the stool and into the line of the fight. Guessing this was his next opponent, Joey tipped his head in acknowledgement. "Horatio, eh? Gotcha. I'm Joey. From the looks of things, you've been having quite a bit of entertainment to view alongside yer lunch." His stomach rumbling, Joey clutched his abdomen and laughed. "Not long..." Looking back up, he appreciated Horatio's words and laughed encouragingly. "I get ya. It doesn't matter what you do. But as long as you enjoy a fight, that's what matters. All that micro-managing and hard effort you put into cleaning must translate pretty well into a scrap."
Analysing his opponent's choice in Pokemon, Joey recalled back Chugga. By now, all three of his chosen Pokemon had been used shown his entire hand. But that didn't mean he was out of the game. All three of his Pokemon were in top condition and fighting fit. Backing up alongside Joey, the rowdy biker pointed forward and called out his choice. "Volt buddy, you got this right?" Stomping forward into place, the deftly strong Electivire was all too ready for another round. "Allow me. I've recovered from my last entry. Time to bring down the thunder." Assuming a fighting stance, Joey ordered up his move. "Wild Charge!!" Watching alongside, Hoodlum and Chugga were both keen to see Voltek in action. "Daaaaayum son. V-Sta 'bout to go BOLO on dis crab biotch. Holla!" "Brah, I hope you like seafood because that Kingler's gonna be on the menu, no doubt." "SEA FOOD." Grunting, Voltek flexed out his mucles as he became enveloped in rogue sparks of electricity. Nothing like powering up for an attack. "Prepare thyself." He warned the Kingler who appeared to be menacingly showing off its pincers for the duration of time it took for Electivire to step up to the plate.

Horatio was happy to hear that Joey was in such good spirits about battling. Having fun was a large part of battling though winning was always nice. He had plenty of experience fighting the other trainers in the Cafe but Joey was an unfamiliar face around these parts. He had seen some of Joey's moves but he was still not entirely sure he knew what he was getting himself into. He could tell just by looking at Voltek that Joey was far stronger than the usual crowd and he was not sure if Kingler was the best choice in the given situation but it was too late to make a change now. All he could do was try his best and hope luck would be on his side. " It sure is nice to meet a trainer with such a positive attitude given how rough these battles can be. I wish you the best of luck." he said as the battle got underway. " Kingler let's start things off with X-Scissor and try to bring that Electivire down a few pegs." He said as the giant crab began to move forward. Without hesitation however Voltek charged forward with a surge of electricity surrounding his body. A blinding flash engulfed the battlefield as he collided with the Kingler. All of the crabs efforts to get back up were in vein however as it fell to the ground in defeat. " As they say you win some and you lose some and I have to say I certainly lost this match. I had hoped this match would have lasted a bit longer but you are clearly a stronger trainer than myself. I hope you do well in your final battle."As Horatio walked off another trainer stepped forward to take his lace. This trainer was a young sailor who had been impressed by Joey winning so many battles so quickly and she wanted to see if he was as strong as he looked. " It is not a common thing for a trainer to come here and win 4 battles so quickly. I must say it is quite the accomplishment. It is only fitting that I be your next challenger and I shall use my strongest Pokemon against you. I do hope you are ready to face a Dragon type as few who come here are ready to face one." she said as she sent out her Kingdra. The dragon did not appear very powerful at first but she knew looks could be deceiving. " My Kingdra knows a wide verity of moves so I expect you better be ready for anything." she said as she waited for Joey to select a Pokemon. Pokemon Battle

Cocking his trademark grin and shrugging off his shoulders, Joey laughed at Horatio's comment. "Oh believe me, I like a bit of the rough 'n tumble. I feel right at home here." In fairness, he wasn't lying. Being so close to the sea was highly evocative of his days growing up back in Fuschia. With him running riot over the city and constantly being reprimanded by the retired ninja who would become his mentor, it meant he felt more of a connection with this place than any other city in Johto. There was even a safari zone the next city over to really strike his nostalgia. With the rough demeanour of all the sailors coming and going, tempered by the stormy seas they fared, it was a good enough substitute for the hard neck bikers he typically hung around. Grateful for his foes best wishes, Joey gestured a returning movement with his hand. "Cheers, same goes for you mate. Let's make this a white knuckle battle alright? I may be adventurin' this region for one reason in particular but that doesn't mean I can't seek out the odd thrill or two." His grin turning into an enthusiastic sneer, he listened out to hear what his opponent would order out to his Pokemon. "X-Scissor huh? A strong move no doubt but I got my money on Volt on this one. Give 'em a hard hit." Thinking over his Pokemon's chances, it served to act as a testament to the faith he had in his Pokemon.
His Electivire now shooting off bolts of electricity in all directions, it was as if he had become a live wire of energy. With Joey's side all up in arms with excitement and furore they made a ruckus as they cheered on the creature. Watching as the bone crunching tackle connected with the Kingler but also sent coursing through the enemy a debilitating shock to heighten the blow, Joey could tell that was the end of the round. Observing the Kingler's fall to the cafe floor, Joey nodded his head as he looked to Horatio. Hearing him congratulate him, Joey's grin turned into more of a smile as he accepted his best wishes. "Thanks man, if anythin' I was glad Electivire got in as quick as he did. That crab of your's had one helluva pincer. All the best with yer deck swabbin', alright?" Turning to face Voltek, Joey gave him a congratulatory pat as the Pokemon returned over. "Keep it up and we'll have this in the bag. Free five course meal here we come!" He had reason enough to feel that way given he had pretty much steam rolled up to the final round. However, things would likely change at this point. Not only was the final challenger quick to step up to the plate but what was more shocking was that the sailor was in fact a lady.
Not that it was unheard of but given how boisterous some of the people Joey had met up until this point, it seemed unfitting. Nevertheless, Joey knew better than to assume stereotypes. The sailor lady certainly looked prim and proper but if she was heading up this gauntlet, there was every possibility that she was going to be the one to watch out for. "Haha, don't worry lady. I usually break the mould and do things my own way." His tone becoming almost bragging, it was clear Joey was putting on his cheeky act as if to charm the last trainer. He'd happily face her fair but if there was a chance of sweet talking the victory into his favour, he wasn't going to pass up on it. Sadly, this woman had no desire to give Joey the easy route. As her sentence finished and she left him with a clanger she was going all out with her most powerful Pokemon, Joey laughed with a minor hint of uneasiness in his tone. "Hahaha, toughest one, eh?" Brushing off how intense she seemed he cracked his neck and pumped himself up for it. "Ah what the hell, we're good for it? Right lads?" Turning to his Pokemon, they all grunted in agreement.
As hyped up as he made himself, the next part of her introduction would have Joey take some precautions to himself privately. Hearing the word Dragon type was always cause for worry. "Woah, a Dragon? I didn't think they were all that common... Wait. You must be really somethin' if you're packing Pokemon like that, huh?" Returning to his cocky grin, he gazed at her eye to eye as he fully understood her skill. "I'm gonna be honest, i've had a long day, my stomach's rumbling and this gauntlet up to this point... Sure, i've sailed in easy enough but it's a stamina contest. I'm gettin' pretty tired. But we'll rise to the challenge. Hope we have a good tussle... Err... Miss...?" Asking for her name, he proceeded to turn to his group, where he had a small impromptu meeting. "Quick meet guys... This is gonna be tough. Make no mistake. I'm gonna be honest here but I don't actually remember ever coming across any trainers utilising Dragons. The one dude I know who HAS a Dragon is not someone I would want to go toe to toe with." Raising his bulky arm forward, Voltek wanted to make it clear he felt ready to enter the showdown. "Joey, allow me. I have made short work of our previous foes and I will ensure this Pokemon meets a similar fate." Proud of his Pokemon's accomplishments, Joey ran a hand over his stubbly chin before deciding against it. "Nah, I can't risk losin' you just yet. You're hurt from all the reckless tackles you've been doing and I need to be sure I got a juggernaut waitin' in the wings if we have trouble wittlin' down this bugger's health." Turning to Chugga and Hoodlum, either would have been a good choice but what he needed was a fortress to take on any savage hits.
"Chug, take a rest. I know that tough son of a gun Machamp landed a good hit. And that just means Hoodlum is in prime position for this." Jogging the Pokemon's attention, the scrawny hood lizard strutted forward, his arms raised making a scene. "J-Balla, I is ready to bust up Dragon busta jacks who got dat beef wit us. HOLD MY TOOF SON!" Pushing on past the group meeting, he made his way to the battlefield. It was inspiring in a way. With how much of a sheer idiot Hoodlum was, it seemed as if it hadn't quite dawned on the hoodrat just how powerful Dragons could be. Limbering up, he leaned forward his baggy trousered legs split apart as he balanced on them. "Aight, aight, aight. WHERE DIS DRAGON BIOTCH AT? WOOOOORD. IMMAH BUST A CAP, YO." Mouthing off in recognisable speak, Joey hurried over to his side of the fight and hoped his Pokemon's mannerisms made no offence. By the time he returned, he watched as the sailor girl sent forth her Pokemon, revealing a serene looking dragon creature of the depths. "Huh... It's not as... Err... Well, draconic as I was expectin' but that just makes me all the more wary. Don't get too cocky, Hood!" Letting out an exasperated blast of air from his mouth, it seemed as if the Scrafty was doing exactly that. "Pft, ya real son? Dis here cracka jacka ain't gonna murk me. HOLLLLLLAAAAAAA ATCHA B*@%£ ASS!" Pulling off a rudimentary gang sign with his fingers as he crossed his arms over, Joey realised his Pokemon's extrapolating meant he was going to end up moving last. "Dammit! Get yer finger out and unleash some Payback!" Pre-empting his Pokemon's slowness, he hoped this would at least roll the ball in his favour.

As Ellen was in a rush just thinking about getting to use a Dragon Type against this new trainer she had forgotten to tell him her name which he was quick to point out. " Oh I feel so silly I completely forgot to tell you me name. It is not a usual thing for me to get to use my Kingdra as she is usually in the daycare producing Horsea eggs for me to sell. My name is Ellen and I am a huge fan of Water and Dragon types. Kingdra here is my only dragon however I do hope to acquire more as they are a fantastic partner type for water types." As she looked over at Joey she waited for him to sop speaking before she began to talk again however before she could mutter a word he had started to have a meeting with his Pokemon. After he spoke again however she finally had a chance to say what she wanted. " It is very true that Dragon types are ultra rare. The Blackthorn Clan are amoung the few who have them in numbers however as Horsea are a rather common Pokemon Kingdra is not as rare as other Dragon types but no less dangerous. The only members of the Clan I have met are Clair and Lance and I would not want to make either angry. I hear Lance has a few Dragonite who are very loyal to him and yet so gentle outside of battle. I think this is actually a great time to show you just how powerful even Kingdra can be as it seems you have made your choice in Pokemon. Kingdra use Dragon Breath to get things started." She said as her Kingdra began to take a deep breath. Moments later a blue and purple mist shot out of it's mouth and surrounded Hoodlum. He began to cough as the cloud sucked the oxygen from his mouth and he could hardly breath. Just as he thought the worst of it was over he tried to make a move however he could not feel his legs. The cloud had done more than just take away his breath it had left him paralyzed as well. Ellen smiled as she realized her plan had worked. " It looks like my plan has worked. Dragon Breath has a chance of paralysis and by the looks of things that chance has played out. It is far from the most powerful move a Dragon can use but it is a very useful move due to that secondary effect." Her Kingdra had a very elegant pose as it proudly look on at what it has accomplished. It had just dealt a blow that few Pokemon could recover from. Everytime It had managed to paralyze it's foe on the first round it had won the battle and it was hoping to keep up that trend. Ellen was as well but things were just getting started between her and Joey. " Stay on task Kingdra. Joey here looks like he is going to be a bit toughter than our usual sparring partner's. You may have dealt him a good blow this round but I have a feeling it will take more than one good round to come out the winner here. This next round we will give it everything we have to really show off your power." She said trying to keep her Pokemon from making a silly mistake by thinking it had already won. Pokemon Battle
Ellen's Kingdar: | Level 40| Health: 100% (122/122 HP)Status: Normal Tell me, Do I need a breath mint? Move: Dragon Breath
Joey's Hoodlum: | Level 41 | Health: 76% (90/117 HP) Status: Paralyzed I must be trippin yo! Move: Unable to move due to paralysis
Ooc: I felt awful typing this. I really need to get a Kingdra after seeing just how useful it's speed and Dragon Breath combo is. Let's hope Shed Skin kicks in soon. That may just be a huge help in this battle.

Finally getting to hear the sailor lass' name, Joey perked his eyebrows and smiled. "Ellen, huh? Gotcha. Pretty name." Despite Joey's thoughts, they would have to be put aside as she began to make abundantly clear how much of a challenge she would be. Speaking of the Blackthorn clan and various high profile names, Joey could tell she was nothing to be taken lightly. In fact, one name in particular held particular intrigue for Joey. "Lance? Wait, wait, wait. Back up a sec, you mean the Lance? The ex-Elite 4 leader and reigning champ? Jeez... Hear that guys? We're really gonna need to give it our best." Knowing he was up against someone who had connections with the champion meant he was now pumped with adrenaline. Confident in his strategy, Joey had neglected to realise someone as professional as Ellen would have some proven strategies up her own sleeve. Only time would tell if the group could overcome the bump in the road they were about to ride over. "Dragon Breath? Can't imagine this being too tough. Considerin' how Hood inhales Chugga's fumes like it's nothin', he oughta be ok." Despite his mind's thoughts, the foul cloud which fumed forwards cloaked the entire area around Hoodlum, with some of the unusual breath seeping over to where Joey's lot were. Raising his arms and spluttering, it was of deadly potency if it could make a guy who lived and breathed Weezing gases with little to no problem. "Oh man! *cough cough* Never had anythin' like this! *cough wheeze* Hood?!" Looking over to Hoodlum, he could see the Scrafty struggling for air. In such a fix, he appeared unable to even react. Spluttering, the trouser wearing lizard doubled over, his eyes shrinking to beady little dots as sweat covered his brow thickly. "Y-Y-Y-Yo... Dis ain't... *cough* Oh shi... SON... Dat sum hummin... Grzk!"
Not able to even strike his usual gangsta signs, Joey's Scrafty remained fixed to the spot as he struggled to overcome the vile attack. Gritting his teeth, Joey looked over to Ellen who gave some insight. Hearing what she had to say, Joey could only respond with determination. "It's a setback but this ain't over until all three of my pals here are gasping for air." Cracking his knuckles, he knew he could trust in Hoodlum to pull through. Not only that but Joey knew the strengths and weaknesses of his Pokemon to a good degree. "Heh heh heh, he's paralysed. Sure. But that just means Hood's definitely going last and he's got an unusual technique most don't know about. Just hope he can't pull it together and shed off some skin." With Ellen summarising over her round, Joey nodded his head respectfully and called out to her. "I'm glad to hear you're not one of those presumptuous types that thinks they've got it in the bag. By all means, i'm not gonna roll over and lose and we're at bit of a disadvantage here but this fight'll be interesting fer sure. Nice not to be written off." Hoping to get his strategy off the ground, Joey yelled out to Hoodlum again. "Okay buddy, now's the time for some REAL Payback! Let 'em have it!" Struggling to push himself up off of his crouched legs, Hoodlum looked up to the Kingdra, still reeling in from the debilitating breath, he gritted his teeth and forced out some words. "I-I-I... Is... Gunna... Go... An'... Buck wild bum rushin'... On yo' playa hater ass." Pushing himself up with great difficulty, he yelled at the top of his lungs. "HOLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAA!"
