Regaining his sight Marchbaby began to look around and before long he discovered he had been teleported to the edge of the sea in Cherrygrove City. That meant he was even further away from his brother than he had been before however not all the news was awful. He had obtained Alpha the Beldum and the sea around Cherrygrove was known for having low level Magikarp that trainers would battle for experience. Knowing all too well Beldum's limitations he believed they were about the only things Alpha could battle until it evolved. He did not like the idea of torturing the poor Magikarp who lived in the sea but they were the only relatively safe option for the time being and he believed Unown wanted him to raise the young Beldum here so it would be ready for the road ahead.
As the young steel typed hovered him and the rest of his team it made a humming sound in excitement as it would soon get into it's first battle with Marchbaby as it's trainer. Alpha had been stuck following Steven around as he looked for rare stones for so long that it was going stir crazy. As Beldum were a Pokemon who was a member of a pseudo legendary family it was born to fight to unlock it's true potential and Alpha was not picky what that foe was either. All it cared about was a chance to prove itself in battle. Marchbaby grabbed the old rod he had in his backpack and carefully removed it fearing it would break from it's age. He had not used it much for this reason but this was for a worthy cause.
" Just as you are pretty new at battles I am pretty new at fishing so it will be good practice for both of us." As he tossed his line into the water he began to wait as he knew it mat take a while before something might bite on his line but he wanted Alpha to be ready just in case. " Alpha in the event we hook something I want you to use Take Down so we can get the jump on it. The Pokemon in these waters should not be too tough for you but I do not want to take any chances as you are still rather young." With his warning heeded by Alpha the young Beldum was ready to strike as soon as he got a bite.
Ooc: If Marchbaby hooks a Pokemon with his Old Rod Alpha the Beldum will use Take Down.

Following the steps of Marchbaby, the young Beldum was now out in the big, wide world for a whole new reason. Steven Stone was well known for his strong, Steel type Pokemon and had been occasionally spotted in the region of Johto, whilst being followed by a herd of Beldum. Only trouble was, rather than training, they were simply there to search for rare stones and ores, a bit of a hobby for the gem loving trainer. Whilst some didn't mind the peaceful hunt, others such as Alpha, longed for a more physical approach. It wanted to become strong and thanks to sheer luck, the Beldum managed to worm it's way into the capable hands of Marchbaby. Leaving Cannon Fodder in the Champion's hands, the duo now found themselves on the outskirts of Cherrygrove City, a new journey beginning for Alpha.
Focused and with the intention of awakening the strength within Alpha, Marchbaby had chosen a safer route - training with Magikarp. An Old Rod in hand, the trainer figured that this would be an easy way of easing the Beldum into the battling world and for Alpha, any opponent was good enough. Watching the lure on the water's surface begin to twitch and tug, with a mighty pull of his arms, the male managed to pull the water dwelling creature up onto the land. Forcefully torn from the water, an orange scaled creature flew through the air and right over the head of Marchbaby, landing with a thump on a patch of grass behind him. Flailing helplessly, the wild Pokemon known as Magikarp clapped it's lips together, confused on what had just happened and sensing that it's future was now much shorter!
Marchbaby hooked a wild Magikarp (Level 8)! Rod level raised by 0.5!
As the Magikarp continued with it's useless splashing on the spot, it gave Marchbaby enough time to get to his feet and turn to see his catch. Though Alpha was already on it. Eager to start a battle, the Beldum dashed in, in a rather reckless manner. Charging in head first with a speedy hover, the slick steel type zoomed forward and with little care for it's own being, crashed into the body of the Magikarp. The scaled creature was sent tumbling further away from the edge of the water and Alpha itself skidded across the floor some, dealing a bit of damage to it's own body.

The sight of Alpha colliding with Magikarp filled Marchbaby with glee as it's power reminded him of the dragon type Pokemon he had watched battle when he was younger. Just like Bonecrusher Alpha had incredible physical strength and a reckless amount of bravery that was rarely seen outside of dragon types. Alpha was already proving it's loyalty to him showing no fear for it's own safety in the first round and though the attack led to it taking recoil damage it was clear the match was very one sided. Like the Pokemon Cannon Fodder had battled in Azalea which stood no chance against him Alpha was more than a match for the poor Magikarp. Sure Splash in very rare circumstances could be devastating the majority of the time it was worthless making him feel even worse about sicking the Beldum on the defenseless fish.
" The books I read on your species in my free time did not lie. You are every bit as tough as they claimed. Bonecrusher is the only other Pokemon I have that could dish out so much damage without posing a serious risk to itself with such a reckless charge. That kind of bravery is something dragon types show off all the time but you are one of the few non dragon type species that have their level of bravery. It may take a long time however I look forward to the day that you become a Metagross. As strong as you are now when that day comes you will be able to go claw to claw with any dragon with a considerable chance of winning." He said as the young Beldum remained focused on it's target.
Alpha did not have much of a choice but to stay focused as it did not want to make a mistake and make itself look bad after meeting what it believed to be a perfect trainer for it's personality. The intelligent Pokemon knew the risks involved with attacking in a similar manner again however it's species were plagued with that risk and until Marchbaby could take it to a move specialist to teach it better moves Take Down was it's only option to end the battle. " I know that look of your eye means you are ready to charge again. I really hope we run into a move tutor who can teach you better moves soon so you will not need to take so many risks." As it was his Pokemon's only move for the time being however he had no choice but to order Alpha to try Take Down again. " Alpha use Take Down again on that Magikarp." He said as Alpha got ready for another attack.
Ooc: Alpha uses Take Down on Magikarp.

Although Marchbaby felt somewhat guilty for pitting his newly acquired Beldum against a seemingly helpless Magikarp, there wasn't really any need as battling was all part of the balance within the Pokemon world. Human nature and natural emotions aside, for Pokemon on the other hand, battling was the best way to toughen up and maybe even evolve. So as Alpha charged and crashed into the body of this golden scaled fish, it mattered little. Both of them were experiencing something out of it, even if for the Magikarp it was pain more than anything else. But even after this, there would be more battles against trainers and even collisions with wild Pokemon, deep under the calm surface of the water. Who knew? Maybe this lake dwelling Magikarp will one day end up as an ocean dwelling Gyarados.
But that day was far from happening, unless a trainer were to scoop it under their wing and train it properly. Instead, as soon as Marchbaby sided with Alpha and gave another order, the fate of the fish was made clear. Still flopping and seemingly gasping for air on the very same spot, the splashing fish did literally to counter attack or even flee after spotting Alpha from a side wides way. Limited to this one move for now, it didn't matter too much to the Beldum, as long as it were able to take down opponents and claim victory. Reckless tackling right into the Magikarp, the fish let out a wail as it flew through the air and made a tremendous splash back into the water. Phew! Atleast that was over!
Magikarp: | Level 8 | Health: 0% ( 0/23 HP) Status: Normal Magikarp used Splash!
VS
Alpha: | Level 10 | Health: 50% ( 15/31 HP) Status: Normal Alpha used Take Down! Hit with recoil!
Congratulations! The wild Magikarp was defeated! Alpha gained 2 levels and grew to Level 12! +1 Happiness

Marchbaby was incredibly proud to see Alpha win it's first battle no matter how easy it's foe was to beat. Just seeing the young Beldum get it's first taste of battle while under his ownership filled him with pride to own such an elusive and powerful creature. Though he knew it would take many more battles before the young steel type would reach it's true potential he still had faith that one day Alpha would make a fantastic partner. Though the later battles may prove to be a challenge he had to start somewhere and the Magikarp did make a wonderful sparing partner to gain a few levels and valuable experience and knowing the water around Cherrygrove was filled with more of them made this an ideal area to continue training for a while.
" Fantastic job Alpha. I know you would likely rather be fighting stronger foes than Magikarp but we will get there someday. Until then we will slowly train to make ourselves stronger so you will be able to unlock your true power which I know resides in you. I do have a few items that can help once you gain some more levels however until you are close to evolving battling is the most effective way for you to become stronger. That last battle was a great start however it will take a lot more Magikarp for you to evolve and with your current move set they are really the only thing I feel safe having you battle until you learn more powerful and less reckless moves."
Alpha did not seem to mind battling the same foe over and over again unlike Marchbaby as it knew it would only get stronger doing so and that it would all be worth it to become everything it possibly could. Even if it meant that a large group of Magikarp would gain an intense hatred of Beldum and set out in some sort of revenge once they evolved it was willing to face that possibility down the line. As Alpha floated around Marchbaby's head he knew that it wanted to have another go at a battle and since he was in no hurry to leave the area anyways he picked up his Old Rod carefully and tossed the line back into the water and began to wait. " Just like before Alpha if we get something on the line I want you to use Take Down on it before it can get the jump on you." He said as he waited to see if anything else would bite.
Ooc: Using the Old Rod again. In the event something gets hooked ALpha will use Take Down.

Time passed by slowly. The sun crawled over the sky like an enormous firefly stuck behind a curtain. It was just a faint, white sphere too weak to burn through the day's light cover of clouds. Sitting still could be extremely cold in this weather, and maybe Marchbaby did have trouble, because nothing seemed to bite a second time. At least not for a long while. Unless Marchbaby decided to talk some more, everything was quiet. Sure, there was a rustle here and there from Pokemon scavenging in the nearby thicket, and now and then the sound of beating wings as birds took to the sky. If one listened really closely, you could even hear the sounds from Cherrygrove, the usual sounds from an inhabited city with people out and about. At some point voices seemed to grow stronger, yet not very discernable, until it was easy to tell, that it was actually just one voice, a girl apparently talking to herself. "...and we can make a fire to keep warm..." the girl said, just as she walked out from some trees behind Marchbaby, and halted in surprise. "Oh!" She exclaimed, her eyebrows rising up to hide under the shadow of her cap. She adjusted said cap, her cheeks going red with shyness. "Somebody is already here..." She looked to the backpack on her back, or rather the Pichu perched on top of it, then she seemed to shake herself out of it, and smiled brightly to Marchbaby. "Hello there. I'm Katie. Do you mind if I put up a camp here? I usually camp here, and it's the best place this close to the city. It's way too cold to go further away today." She didn't exactly wait for Marchbaby to agree or deny. She dropped the backpack to the ground, and stretched her hands to the sky in relief, while the Pichu skittered to the ground and danced around the girl's feet. "Hey, aren't you cold just sitting there?" she asked next, looking at Marchbaby's still form and shivered like the mere thought made her cold. "I can make the fire close to you, so we can share if you like, but what do you say to a small battle? It's always good for a warm up." She gestured to her Pichu. "Wouldn't you like that, Pichu?" she asked it in a raised voice, and the Pichu squeaked and jumped eagerly. EncounterPicnicker Katie challenges Marchbaby to a battle! After what felt like an eternity of waiting none of the other Pokemon living in the sea had decided to try their luck on Marchbaby's line however just as it all seemed hopeless the sounds of another trainer perked him up. Although the young girl seemed quite cold in the weather he was not even slightly bothered by it as Blackthorn was typically a lot colder than the frosty weather currently effecting Cherrygrove. " Oh good at least something has come to pay us a visit. Nothing seems to want to bite my line at the current moment. It sure is good to see something else alive as I have been trying to train my newly acquired Beldum by having it battle the Pokemon living in the sea but alas they do not want to cooperate for the time being."
As the young girl spoke of setting up a came Marchbaby smiled just being glad that something would keep him and Alpha company. He was a bit confused as the girl mentioned being cold as to him the frosty weather felt rather nice instead of the more humid weather typical around these parts of Johto. " It may be that our Blackthorn clan is use to the cold but no this weather does not bother me in the slightest. If anything it is the warmer weather that is common around these parts that gets to me. In either case I am glad to have some company." As soon as she offered to have a battle with him though his face lit up like a Christmas tree. His time might not be wasted after all and Alpha might just get to battle something a bit more challenging than the Magikarp who called the sea their home.
" That offer right there just made my day. Alpha here really needs more practice so it can evolve into a Metang and gain better offensive capabilities as it slowly works towards becoming a Metagross so it will have the same strength as the Dragons I miss so dearly back in Blackthorn." Not even waiting on Marchbaby to call it forward Alpha took position in front of him ready to make a reckless charge towards the young girls Pichu. The steel type had no idea just how fragile the young mouse could be but all it cared about was becoming stronger and beating this Pichu would help a tiny bit towards that goal. " Well I guess there is no stopping you now. Alpha use Take Down on Pichu."
Ooc: Alpha uses Take Down on Pichu.

Learning so much about Marchbaby in such a short space of time, the young girl smiled up at him warmly, mostly happy that he had accepted her offer to battle. He might've been fine with the weather but Katie wasn't entirely comfortable with this frosty breeze, so this would be something to keep her mind distracted from the cold, for now. "Alpha, hmm?" Looking across to the Pokemon Marchbaby motioned towards, Katie's expression suddenly changed to that of surprise and even the energetic Pichu dashing around her feet, stopped to stare wide eyed at it's opponent. "What a cool looking Pokemon! I have never seen anything like it before and I study Pokemon a lot!" Interested in learning more about this Pokemon, she took a step back to allow some more battle room. After all, fighting travelling opponents was one way to learn about new Pokemon.
"I mean, Blackthorn... Dragons... Maybe I bit off more than I can chew, here..." Muttering to herself, Katie trailed off and nervous nibbled at her thumb nail. If what Marchbaby had said was true, then all what Katie knew about Blackthorn was that it was usually the home of Dragon Masters. Did that make this man one, too? Looking across to her little Pichu, however, it still seemed ready to fight. So with an enthusiastic nod, she tried to push all doubt to the back of her mind. "Okay then, Pichu! Let's lighten the mood with Charm!" If she could lower her opponents stats, then maybe she would have more of a chance... Or so she hoped. Like an absolute tank, Alpha ploughed forward, tackling the lone Pichu down and dragging it across the earth with reckless abandon.
Blinking her eyes in absolute shock, Katie seemed to wobble weakly on the spot before shaking her head and lifting a Pokeball. "W-Woah. Return, Pichu!" After one hit, her Pokemon had been taken down but she wasn't ready to give up entirely. Plucking a second Pokeball away from her belt, she tossed this next one forward to reveal a much bolder looking Pikachu. "Pichu was still little but my Pikachu and I have trained together for a long time. C'mon, let's keep battling!" Although she wanted to continue, she wasn't able to hide her nervous tone. Just what was this Pokemon she was facing?

Alpha had more than done his fair share by knocking out Katie's Pichu in a single powerful blow. It's tank like body was still not enough to counter the recoil of the violent collision however it's sturdy build allowed it to remain mostly intact. The young Beldum if nothing else was showing just how good it was at picking on weaker foes however when it came to stronger ones Marchbaby was not ready to test his luck just yet. " If Alpha had evolved into a Metang I would have it try it's luck with your Pikachu however as it is still so young I think I will swap out my Pokemon for this next round." As Alpha made it's way towards him Marchbaby took out a Pokeball containing one of his most trusted Pokemon.
" Alpha has done it's best but it still needs more practice before it can take on a stronger foe Bonecrusher so for now I need you to take it's place. I have no doubt in my mind that you can teach Alpha a thing or two as you both like to use your head to attack quite literally." When Bonecrusher left his Pokeball Marchbaby took a deep breath knowing he was more than likely guilt of overkill in using such a high level Pokemon however he had not planned on battling anything but Magikarp in his defense. " I do wish I would have brought some of my lower leveled Pokemon with me to have a more fair match however the only other low leveled Pokemon I have is not a huge fan of battling and she is still a young dragon. So I have to improvise here and use an old friend of mine. I really regret not being able to use one of my lower leveled Pokemon right now as I have a lot more I want to train."
As he finished talking Bonecrusher began to kick his hind legs in the dirt ready to make his move. Though his foe was low leveled Bonecrusher did not want to give it any chance to make a move before he could ram the poor Pikachu with all of his might. As Marchbaby did not have much of a choice by now but to allow Bonecrusher to have some fun he gave his orders hoping the Aron would show the young Pikachu a bit of mercy. " Well I guess it is time for the next round. Bonecrusher use Headbutt on that Pikachu." He then closed his eyes not able to watch the impending collision.
Ooc: March uses the free switch in to switch Alpha for Bonecrusher. Bonecrusher uses Headbutt.

With her Pikachu by her side, Katie felt that she had a better chance of winning, even if she had encountered a fabled dragon tamer from Blackthorn City. Deep down, an encounter like this was exciting and none of her friends would believe her if she told them that she had faced a rare Pokemon known as Beldum but it would be an experience for her to brag about. Regardless of those who wouldn't believe her. Still, the young girl couldn't help but stand with a slightly drooping jaw. As Marchbaby explained Beldum was his youngest Pokemon and the others he carried with him were over levelled compared to Katie's own, she wondered just what was about to come. ...And if her Pikachu would truly be alright!
"T-That's okay! We like a good challenge!" Trying to shake off her worry with a pump of her fist, the name Marchbaby called out caused her lip to waver a little. "B-Bonecrusher? W-What a name!!" A mixture of excited and fearful, the Pokemon that apart was nothing what she had expected. It wasn't a huge dragon but instead a small Aron, they were known for living in the tunnel close by which caused her to very quickly point out the Aron's unique quality. "That Aron... That isn't the normal colour! You have a REALLY REALLY rare Aron!" Eyes glittering in admiration, there was no time to fawn over the Aron. With a lower of his head, Bonecrusher charged forward and without holding back, smashed his head against the body of the Pikachu.
Eyes widening, the Pikachu had fainted before the pain even had enough time to settle. Rolling backward to the feet of Katie, the young girl gasped and lifted the Pokemon into her arms. "I guess we never did stand a chance, huh?" Speaking out loud to herself in a quiet mumble, she still managed a smile in Marchbaby's direction. "Thank you for the battle! I learnt so much and saw some new, rare Pokemon! I'm gonna go back to the Pokemon Centre now... G-Goodbye!" Dashing off quickly, the flustered girl handed some victory money to Marchbaby before vanishing entirely.

As Katie left in a hurry Marchbaby was once again without any human companions. This did not bother him too much though as he would have plenty of time later to meet up with friends and for now raising Alpha was of the utmost importance as it would make a fantastic counter to Mania and most of Tyler's other Pokemon. Bonecrusher would as well however he was already several levels higher than Alpha and having just gained more experience towards evolving Marchbaby was rather confident in the shiny Aron for the time being. As he picked his Old Rod back up he began to wonder if it was a good idea to stay here or move on to a new area where Magikarp were known to frequent but Alpha's terrible move set and low level forced him to stay here for the time being.
" That last battle was not as hard as I had hoped. At least it is over now so we can try to get you leveled up Alpha. You will be a big help once we run into Mania again. She might have the type advantage but between your defenses and access to Meteor Mash and Iron Head after you evolve will be a fantastic counter. If only you could learn Iron Head by level up things would be far easier. Once you gain a few more levels I believe I have a few treats that will help you evolve into a Metang so you can learn a few more powerful moves." In the mean time he knew the best course of action was to keep fishing and hope that he could get lucky again so Alpha could become a tiny bit stronger.
The young Beldum still had a long way to go for Marchbaby's plans to pan out but after raising a Forretress he knew the effort would be worth it in the long run. With the help of a Metagross even Tyler's strongest Pokemon would have to think twice about messing with him. He knew Tyler would only get stronger as time went on but so would he. Bringing down his brother would make him look great for the police force and it would also save his hometown from certain annihilation should his brother get there first. The sooner he could get more fish to bite on his line the better. He had already been set back by the Unown and the fish refusing to bite the last time he tried did not do him any favors. " Alpha if we hook a fish be ready with a Take Down attack." He said hoping this time they would get lucky.
Ooc: Marchbaby tries his luck again with the old Rod. If a fish is hooked Alpha will use Take Down.

A wild Magikarp (Level 7) was hooked! Rod level raised by 0.5!
Marchbaby had worked incredibly hard to train Cannon Fodder and in return, he received something truly amazing. Although the previous battle wasn't all that hard, Alpha was still fairly young and inexperienced, meaning that it needed to continue with it's training if it hoped to get anywhere close to evolving anytime soon. The male trainer had a plan, however. No matter how long it took, he would raise a team worthy enough of defeating his brother as well as protecting those around him. It was a distant dream but if he worked hard, then things would start falling into place before he knew it. Tossing the line back out into the jetty which sat in the centre of Route 32, he waited and waited for another bite. Anything to train against would be fine but Magikarp were easy targets. If another trainer found him, then that would be alright too but for now, this was enough. Atleast until Alpha learnt a few more moves, in order to defend himself properly, or even evolve.
Swimming beneath the water's surface were many Magikarp and Tentacool, many oblivious to the hook and bait which had begun floating amongst the ripples of the water. It took a few moments before a fishy opponent finally caught sight of the floating food and without even a moment's hesitation, the dumb fish swam towards it and took a mighty bite. In return, Marchbaby felt the tug and yanked the rod up into his arms, forcing the Magikarp up and out of the jetty, thus landing on dry land. Flopping around maniacally, Alpha took this as it's cue to... Give the Magikarp a hand. Floating forward, the Beldum made a harsh tackle, damaging itself in the process but ultimately fainting the landed fish before sending it flying through the air and back into the jetty.
Congratulations! The wild Magikarp was defeated! Alpha gained 1 level and grew to Level 14! +1 Happiness

Watching the poor Magikarp slash around helplessly was a rather depressing sight one of which Marchbaby was glad to see the end of rather quickly as Alpha unleashed another powerful Take Down. For such a reckless move it was more than proving to be useful in certain situations. " Whoa that Magikarp just went flying back into the water from the impact. Great hit there Alpha. If you keep this up you should evolve in just a couple more battles and learn Metal Claw which should give us better options than we currently have." Marchbaby said as the young Beldum regained his bearings again after suffering another bout of recoil from the thunderous collision. Though Alpha was still a bit shaken Marchbaby was beginning to believe the rumors of Metang ramming jets without a scratch was true.
Once Alpha evolved it would be strong enough to go back to Azalea so he could try and see if his brother had left any clues as to what his plans were next. Going by his brother's personality he knew Tyler would face Bugsy soon and after that would likely make his way to Goldenrod but beyond that he did not have a clue as to what Tyler would do. He knew Blackthorn would be the final stop for his brothers rampage however so he still had time before things became too urgent as much as he despised letting his brother have a head start. On top of raising Alpha he also needed to raise Blubber more as well and as she was no a fan of battles it would be a very hard challenge for him to overcome but it was one he could not fail.
" They say all apprentices must go through many challenges before becoming a master and this is by far the toughest challenge I will have ever faced but if my brother has his way our clan will be destroyed. I do not think even the mighty Lance will stop him by then and few in our clan can last for more than 5 minutes against him. I wish I was in contact with him so he could help me train for that day. He would be a great help in training Blubber and I may even learn a thing or two about how to raise you more effectively Alpha." he said as he looked at the young Beldum who stared at him wondering why he was getting so worked up. " I cannot rest now let's try and fish again. If we hook something I want you to use Take Down Alpha."
Ooc: Fishing again. If something gets hooked Alpha will use Take Down.

Patience was the key to fishing, and Marchbaby had already shown quite a bit of patience. Alpha, on the other hand, tended to lean more toward the reckless side, but even now the Beldum waited with anticipation for something to be pulled out of the water. With such power stored within it, the Beldum knew this was the only way to truly unlock it. Even though they were baby steps, they were steps all the same. As the water rippled, fish and Pokemon swarmed below, oblivious to the danger that hovered above. Marchbaby didn't waver with the cast, and sat as still as stone in hopes for something to nibble. The rod jerked once and the bobber disappeared below to the depths of the water, the signal to pull! With Marchbaby pulling on the rod, a flash of yellow and orange was pulled from the water. For a split second, Magikarp was in the air and flopping, but easy to see and identify. It landed on the ground with an unceremonious 'plop' before it began to thrash around in a splashing stupor. Wild Magikarp Hooked! (Level 5) Magikarp was beached and landed, and Alpha wasted no time. With Alpha's current strength and speed, it quickly took over the Magikarp, ramming into the fish with such brute strength it hurt the Beldum at the same time. Magikarp attempted to flounder and splash, but it was immediately knocked out and back into the water where it hovered at the surface. It would come to eventually and swim back to it's den, but at least luck had the common courtesy to throw it back into the water with the force. It wouldn't be able to be caught, but it seemed as though Marchbaby and Alpha weren't here for that. The Beldum was getting stronger, and that was all that counted, right? The effort that both trainer and Pokemon were putting into training... Evolution, or at least another move, was right around the corner. As long as they both put in their best effort. The Beldum could shrug off the pain if it made it stronger... It had a lot to live up to, after all.
Alpha took down the Magikarp with skill and strength! Alpha gained +1 Level and +1 Happiness for it's efforts. Alpha did not learn any more moves...

Having soundly defeated another Magikarp and with their levels being on the low side Marchbaby knew he could not stick around for too much longer. VIolet City also had a spot to fish where the Magikarp were higher level and where Alpha could gain a bit more experience than sticking around here. He did still have a boatload of other Pokemon to raise ant the Pokemon in these parts would be perfect for raising them however he had a goal to raise Alpha first and if leaving was the only option than he would leave and head for the next town. " It feels as though we just got here but I feel as though it is time to say goodbye to Cherrygrove City and head on over to VIolet City. I still have not received anything else from the Police Force yet so I guess they are still not ready for me anyways."
As he picked up his Old Rod and placed it into his bag he stood up and began to walk away from the jetty with Alpha at his side. The battles it had fought here had increased it's levels a decent amount and now it was finally strong enough to move on and fight slightly stronger opponents. Marchbaby knew that once Alpha evolved things would become a lot easier. As he made his way out of the city Alpha kept looking on ahead as it if knew the path forward was the only choice it would have if it even were to evolve. " We have come this far just a few more battles and then things will become a bit easier for us. I cannot wait for the day we reach Blackthorn so I can introduce you to Draco. I have a feeling you two will get along great." He said as Alpha kept looking ahead trying to stay focused on the task at hand.
" I know things are hard right now and that until you evolve they will not get any easier but I believe in you. If I recall correctly Violet City's jetty has a bit more variety of Pokemon so you might get to fight more than just Magikarp. At the very least it will help mix things up a bit and maybe even give you a bit more of a challenge as I know you want to battle stronger Pokemon than just a Magikarp." He said as they approached the outskirts of Violet.
