Tyler and his Pokemon made it to the entrance of the Azalea gym and were bursting with confidence. He had spent ages getting ready to battle the gym leader here and the time had finally come to take on his next gym leader. As he walked into the gym he saw giant spider webs along the walls and cocoons resting within the webs confirming his suspicions that the gym leader did indeed specialize in Bug type Pokemon. " So it would appear as though my brother did not lie about this being a Bug type gym. I just hope the leader is as tough as my brother said or else I will lose it." Mania was not a huge fan of the decor nor was she pleased to be so close to Pokemon her type was weak against. " I know I fought a lot of worthless bugs but this place gives me the creeps. Let's find the leader and win this battle quickly so I will not get bit by one of those disgusting creatures."
Tyler was eager to get the match started as well but first he had to find where the gym leader was hiding. With all the cocoons and webs around he could have been anywhere and instead of playing hide and seek he figured calling out for the gym leader would be the best option. " Hello is the gym leader of this bug infested place around. If not I feel as though it is my duty to burn this place to the ground before this swarm spreads any further." As he waited for a response Flint popped out of his Pokeball having heard the word burn and gym so closely together and knowing exactly where they were. " So Flint I guess you were curious to see where we are. We are here however you are a backup to my main strategy so sit tight for now and if I need you I will let you know."
As he heard footsteps a short distance away he knew that either someone else was here to battle the gym leader or the gym leader was looking for him but he was ready in either scenario. " Let's wait and see what happens first however unless something unexpected happens I want Mania to take the lead. I feel as though she will be the best at getting things going here." He then stood silently as he waited for whoever it was nearby to come into view.
Ooc: Waiting on the greeting and for Bugsy to choose his first Pokemon before I select my own. Bit of a side not but Senorita Ramirez is no longer holding anything and Mania is holding Blackglasses.

 Azalea Gym Leader: Bugsy
Tyler and his team had spent a great deal of time training, putting a lot of lives in misery during the process and now, it was finally time for him to pay a visit to the next Gym. Boasting with confidence, Tyler and Mania entered the Gym, only to stepped through the automatic glass doors and find themselves in what could be described as an eerie wood. Four walls surrounded them but inside were trees and bushes which lined the perimeter, the ground below his feet was even dirt which had scatters of cold, dry leaves which crunched beneath his footsteps. But the most creepy thing was the webbing which scattered the Gym, as if ready to entangle a challenger who hadn't played their cards right. Cocooned Pokemon lurked beneath the foliage and the odd sound of chirping bugs echoed from the darkness. All until Tyler's words brought the lurking Gym Leader out from the darkness.
The footsteps finally revealing the sight of the person making them, soon enough, a youngster stood across from aspiring Rocket. Almost feminine in features, the thin boy had shoulder length lilac hair, a soft expression and a boy scout like outfit. Only, his arms began to slowly fold and his once soft expression turned into a frown. "No need to burn the place down, the Gym Leader is standing right before you." Eyeing Tyler up and down, although he hadn't been fond of his attitude thus far, he needed to accept this challenge with open arms, as he had done with all the others. "Welcome to Azalea Gym. My name is Bugsy, I am the Gym Leader here. I specialise in Bug type Pokemon but, ah, I suppose you were atleast able to figure that out." Although running his usual welcoming routine, the facial features of Tyler did cause the young boy to squint at him with great scrutiny.
"...You look familiar. Perhaps a relative?... No. Never mind." Muttering to himself, Bugsy turned on his heel and began to walk towards his position on the Gym battlefield. "As you seem to be ready, let us begin immediately. I warn you, however. Do not take my Pokemon lightly." His tone trying to be intimidating, to Tyler, it likely meant little. Throwing a Pokeball forward, Bugsy revealed his first choice. A plain and simple Metapod. Holding forward his hand, Bugsy gave a small nod of his head, "Let us see what Pokemon you will choose."
  Gym Leader Bugsy has sent forth Metapod (Level 18) to battle! Please select a Pokemon.

Though Tyler's threat to burn down the gym was quite serious he had come here with the goal of defeating the gym leader above all else. Team Rocket would never put him of a mission worth his time if he did not manage to defeat the gym leader here and so he knew failure was not an option here. This did not mean he could not have fun doing it and with a few surprises up his sleeve he only had to choose the order in which to use his Pokemon. " I know this may sound silly but I am going to start off with a Pokemon that has a type disadvantage. If there is anything I have learned when I was training for this day it is that looks can be deceiving. Mania you will be up first."
The young fox took her place in front of Tyler with a very confident look in her eyes. The whole point of using he was that her signature move would bypass the Metapod's rock hard body with ease allowing her to do maximum damage before the bug would have any clue what had just happened. " My brother fought you way back and he told me a few things from his battle so I just had to see how tough you really were for myself. If I am to improve my standing in Team Rocket I have to prove myself be defeating strong trainers and if what he said of you is true this will be a great start." Mania nodded as she looked back at him as she could sense that Bugsy had more than just this Metapod and this was just the first hurdle they would have to overcome before they could claim victory.
" This bug does not look very tough at all. I do hope that you are right about looks being deceiving or else a type advantage will not help it at all and I would hate to waste my time on another weakling." Mania said as she refocused her eyes on the cocoon Pokemon across from her. Bug types had been nothing but an annoyance to her ever since she had battled that first Surskit in order to become stronger. Now that her strength was as high as it could get without being banned from the gym she was going to put this bug to the test. " Mania use Snarl and let's see if that bug is any stronger than those Surskit you massacred."
Ooc: Tyler sends out Mania who uses Snarl. She is holding Blackglasses so it's power will be boosted.

Bugsy was certain that the face of Tyler was familiar in some way and soon enough, the words that the boy spoke soon stuck in the Gym Leader's head. He couldn't remember the exact name but it all made sense. This man had a brother who had likely been a previous challenger at his Gym, only, he couldn't recall him having this much of a... Strong presence. Tyler certainly had Bugsy's full attention and the young boy was about to work out why. "Aha! I see! So your brother challenged the Gym, did he?" Only the question he had just asked very quickly vanished from his mind, as if forgetting he had even spoken, when the next words of Tyler escaped his lips. Very boldly admitting to being a member of Team Rocket, there was a very mixed range of emotion on the face of Bugsy. Was he simply joking? He had to admit, there was something about Tyler that he couldn't quite put his finger on and by being a member of Team Rocket, answered his queries. Surprised, confused and a lot more on edge, Bugsy wanted nothing more than to rid the world of Team Rocket but without definitive proof, could not cast Tyler out of his Gym.
Instead, he tried to give the trainer the benefit of the doubt, hoping that he was being sarcastic. But this accompanied with the previous suggestion of burning down the Gym didn't sit well with him at all. Coughing to clear the lump in his throat, Bugsy had been silently staring, slack jawed for long enough. "I will ignore your previous Rocket comment, as all criminals are forbidden from entering or challenging my Gym. Team Rocket are scum who plague these lands and do harm to our local Slowpoke. No matter how many times I chase them away, they swarm back, multiplied in number... I will not believe you are a Rocket and if you are, that simply means I will defeat you and hand you over to the police." Very serious in tone, Bugsy instead focused on his Metapod, acknowledging Tyler's choice in Pokemon and ordering an attack of his own. "The opponent is of a disadvantageous type! Hurry with Bug Bite!" Feeling himself panic over the thought of facing a Rocket, the young boy knew that he would need help from the local authorities to lock him away, if his words were indeed true.
Instead, he was faced with the powerful snarling of Mania, the Zorua he had chosen to go first. A heavy knock entered his ears shortly after the vision snarl which escaped her jaw and certainly enough, the Metapod had fainted out of pure fear. Blinking in shock, Bugsy had never seen his Pokemon fall in such a way. "What the..." Whispering to himself in disbelief, the young boy didn't want to believe what just happened to be the truth but slowly withdrew his Pokemon. "It looks like I need to be a bit more serious with you. Come on out, Scyther!" Selecting his second choice, a much more menacing Pokemon emerged this time. But Bugsy was still in shock over what happened with his Metapod. Just what was this challenger capable of?

As Bugsy finished his heroic speech Tyler began to burst out laughing. He did not know if Bugsy was serious or delusional after having his first Pokemon defeated in a single blow but he planned on showing him that he was indeed a member of Team Rocket and make Bugsy suffer a terrible defeat at his hands. " Oh I assure your I am a Rocket a recruit but indeed I am and as that first round showed you I am a far stronger trainer than you can begin to comprehend. I do welcome the challenge so go ahead and call the authorities as I will deal with them right after I pry that gym badge from your hands. If you cared for your Pokemon's well being at all you would surrender now and I would consider letting them become my slaves but as I gym leader I know you will fight to the bitter end and so be it. It will look great to my superiors when I show them your badge as well as that moron Falkner who did not stand a chance against me either."
As Bugsy called out his next Pokemon his brother had been correct all along. He did indeed have a Scyther with him but he had raised Senorita Ramirez just in case this moment did arrive. As he cracked his neck and stretched out Tyler sighed realizing that Bugsy had not changed tactics since Marchbaby had fought him some time ago. " My brother Marchbaby warned me about that Scyther before I joined Team Rocket and I will make him regret giving me that tip. He told me how much it wrecked his team a while back before his Magnemite scored a lucky critical hit to win the match. I will not be making the same mistakes he did. Mania come back you have done well, Senorita Ramirez will handle this one." Mania did not hesitate for a moment to respond. " If I had evolved I would take on that freak but alas I admit I cannot win in my current state. I just hope training birdbrain will be worth it." She said as she stepped back.
As Senorita Ramirez took her place the Hawlucha began to lick her beak. Scyther looked like quite a fine meal and she had not eaten in a while. " I am done looking at that Scyther. If my brother could win against it even if it took a while it cannot be that tough. Use Acrobatics on it and show Bugsy here what happens when you threaten Team Rocket."
Ooc: Using the free switch in to swap out Mania for Senorita Ramirez and she will use Acrobatics.

  Gym Leader Bugsy
Bugsy clenched his fist as Tyler continued to talk. So this boy was a Rocket?! He definitely needed to be on his guard, then, as where there was one rocket, there was bound to be more... Anxious, Bugsy glanced over at Scyther who looked formidable... but to be fair, his other tanky Pokemon usually weren't obliterated in one turn. It was up to Scyther at this point to try and buy him some time so he could notify the authorities. There was no way to discreetly do that, however. Even if Bugsy did lose, which was something he was prepared for, given how powerful his first Pokemon was, and the type disadvantage with that bird on the field, he could always give the authorites the camera feeds or even tell them what this boy looked like. Coming in brash like this wasn't smart at all. Even if Bugsy fell, he still had a plan that could take Tyler down if he wasn't careful.
"Then I don't think walking into my Gym with such a brash attitude is a smart thing. Scyther, let's try and put him in his place. I don't care about the type disadvantage. U-turn, so we can buy some time!" Scyther's speed was something he'd stake winning on, although there was a bird on the field. If Scyther could attack first then Bugsy could still formulate a plan and dance around the types for a while. Scyther, true to her word, sharpened her blades on eachother before dashing forward. However, Senorita Ramirez, hungry, beaten and downtrodden, was quicker. The bird barreled forward with such brute strength and power that Scyther was caught off guard, being trounced first. The sheer impact was enough to stop Scyther in her tracks. Her wings stopped beating and she crashed to the ground, immediately knocked out. "No! Scyther!" Bugsy cried out. The Scyther said nothing and instead sat unmoving in a crumpled heap.

Bugsy gritted his teeth and snarled over at Tyler, showing a turn of character. "You arrogant Rocket... I hope you get what's coming to you sooner rather than later. I can't wait to see your face plastered on my TV screen with you being caught." Bugsy growled, returning the crumpled Scyther back to her Pokeball. Kakuna would be sent out next, albeit in a different fashion compared to the normal battles. There was no doubt his Pokemon could probably feel Bugsy's anger and would know what was coming as soon as they were released. At least other rockets that came through here were subtle about it, or downright pleasurable company compared to Tyler. "Kakuna, you're up. We need to still buy some time so we can get this guy where he belongs." Bugsy growled. Kakuna stood, unmoving, although the little bug was definitely on board with Bugsy, exuding what bit of determination it could against the terrible odds that faced them. If anything, Bugsy could lock the door and swallow the key, eh?  Gym Leader Bugsy sends out Kakuna! (Level 18)

Tyler yawned at Bugsy's threats no feeling even remotely intimidated by them. If his plan for Scyther worked the way he had hoped it would not stand a chance against him and sure enough as Senorita Ramirez made her move she was able to knock out the Scyther in a single blow. As Bugsy stood in shock Tyler began to laugh as hard as he could before he began to explain things. " I sure am glad my idiot brother warned me about that Scyther and since he did it looks as though my plan worked without a hitch. Scyther is usually a powerful Pokemon but yours is not anywhere near as tough as he made it out to be. I feel as though I wasted my time training so hard but getting your badge will make it all worth while in the end." He said as Senorita Rami9rez was ready to preform another strike.
Before she could make a move however Tyler was quick to call her back as he had a different plan in mind. " I think it will be far more fitting if we end this battle with a type disadvantage and still come up victorious. It worked against Metapod and this Kakuna does not look any stronger so I think it will work quite nicely. I dare those police fools to try and stop me and going by how poorly you have fought I will be long gone before they even have a chance to show up." He said as Mania began to walk forward as she had gotten the hint that she would deal the finishing blow. Before she could speak however Tyler began to speak on final time.
" I have had enough of this battle. Even Falkner was more of a challenge and even then the level cap was the only reason he provided any challenge. Here the level cap was nothing but an annoyance but even with it set in place I was able to walk over your first two Pokemon as if they were a lowly Magikarp. Mania get this sorry excuse of a gym leader out of my sight with a Snarl so I can claim his badge. This had been a massive waste of my time." Just as he finished talking Mania began to speak. " Yes this battle really has been nothing more than a pain but I will make sure it ends now. It is time you get put down for good." She said as she opened her muzzle ready to attack.
Ooc: Using the free switch in to swap Mania back in and she uses Snarl. She is still holding Black Glasses. I made a minor edit to Tyger's reply as Scyther was still showing full hp despite being knocked out so I fixed it's hp to show 0. Other than that thank you for the reply Tyger.

Bugsy had certainly been confronted by the wrong sort of trainer and deep down, his blood was boiling. But even though he was a Gym Leader, Busgy was still a young boy. There was no way that he would be able to physically take on Tyler himself but with each of his Pokemon falling one by one, the chance of defending himself was becoming slimmer and slimmer. As this rate, he couldn't avoid defeat but if he could get Tyler out of here, he could atleast send all the camera footage to the police. A plan trying to form in his head had meant that the boy hadn't been entirely focused on the battle and before he knew it, only his Kakuna remained. But that wasn't all. The words which came out of that boy's mouth was making it very difficult to resist talking back. But within the Gym walls, it wasn't only him he needed to be careful of but also the Pokemon who he housed and took care of. He couldn't risk putting so many bug types in danger.
"You really are a pitiful excuse of a human." Bugsy spat under his breath, "I feel sorry for your brother, being related to someone as vile as you." Knowing that his words would only act as a compliment to this type of person, it was only when Tyler mentioned Falkner that his brow furrowed. Actually decent friends with the Flying Type Gym Leader, it was horrible to hear such words about him but even worse to be compared with him. They were both their own person, with individual goals and types of Pokemon. They were both good in their own way and worked very hard to get to the spot they were currently in. Fists shaking by his sides, Bugsy was very close to exploding. "Kakuna! Use--" But any words from that point were a complete waste of time and completely drowned out beneath the snarling from Mania. As if it was history repeating itself, all of a sudden, the body of the Kakuna tipped to one side. Leaving Bugsy without any means of protection.

Completely out of Pokemon by this point, the Gym Leader dropped to his knees and cradled his fainted Kakuna. Staring at the floor, he had never been so overwhelmed by such a variety of emotion. Anger, hatred, sadness... He had no idea how to handle this situation. Not hearing the automatic doors of the Gym go, that only meant that Tyler was still there, watching him and with a look of pure rage, Bugsy glared upward. With one arm around his Kakuna, he used his spare to rummage around in his pockets, literally throwing a number of items across the ground towards Tyler. A wad of cash, TM disc and small, shiny badge rolled towards Tyler's feet. "This is what you wanted, right?! Then take it and get out of my sight!" Not wanting any more destruction to fall upon his Gym, the previous threat of these four walls being burnt down sent nerves shivering down his spine. "But just remember, Rocket... Your kind is destined for one place and that is prison. Now hurry up and leave right now!!"
Congratulations!You have defeated Gym Leader Bugsy!   Bugsy surrended and handed over the Hive Badge!You may now use the move Cut outside of battle. Tyler also received TM89 U-Turn and £1,800 as prize money! (Updated)

Tyler hardly took notice of Bugsy by now as it was obvious the gym leader was just in shock that a Rocket member could so easily best him in a match. Tyler began to smile as Mania unleashed another horrifying Snarl that left Kakuna scared out of it's wits unable to even launch a single attack before getting knocked out just like Metapod before it. As Bugsy tossed Tyler's winnings in a fit of rage Mania could not help but mock him for being such a pushover. " Just remember kid you were given a chance to surrender and prevent yourself from losing in such an embarrassing manner. Maybe next time you will have enough common sense for the safety of yourself and your Pokemon to give up without a fight. I very much enjoyed installing a level of fear into their brains that shall haunt them for the rest of their days and if you ever get in our way again you will suffer far worse than they have." As she began to collect the winnings before jumping onto Tyler's shoulder and dropping them onto his hands.
" Thank you very much sweetheart. You have proven more than a worthy partner. Even birdbrain did a fantastic job for such an odd creature however I do not think we will need to use her again for a while as there are others that need to catch up to you two so once Juggernaut is finished in the Nursery you will be taking a back seat for a while. Mania you will be staying of course as a Rocket is nothing without a loyal canine companion and after this macth you have more than earned that title. As for you Bugsy I will leave and even leave this place standing as a testament to your failure to stop me. Enjoy living out the rest of your days knowing you lost to only a mere recruit in our glorious organization and do not cross paths with us again if you know what is good for Azalea. If I ever hear another Rocket member say you tried to stop them I will have Mania here tear every Bug who calls this gym home into little tiny shreds." With his threats finished he began to walk out of the gym with Mania on his shoulder as they headed for the Pokemon Center.
Upon getting there he began to make some changes to his team. As his Heracross he saved was currently breeding he had to make do with switching out Sparky who had never really done very well in his battles with Höllenhund who had yet to have a chance to battle. With that change made he proceeded to route 33 with Bugsy's badge in his hand wanting to keep training Mania until she evolved and also to give Höllenhund a chance to prove worthy.
Ooc: Switching Sparky for Höllenhund. I only have to deal with this guy one more time and I will never have to deal with that Scyther again.
